<p>Berges was director at Interacciones Casa de Bolsa where he developed the company&#8217;s international institutional client base.</p>
<p><strong>Mauro Orefice</strong>, formerly of Interbolsa Securities, joins as director of Brazilian sales.</p>
<p>Orefice was most recently was head of sales and trading for Interbolsa Securities where he participated in setting up the institutional trading desk covering clients from the U.S., Europe and Latin America.</p>
<p>These individuals will report to <strong>Jarred Kessler</strong>, global head of equities. Baez and Medina will be located in New York; Berges and Orefice will be located in Miami.</p>

<p><strong>Joseph Spinelli</strong> will join the bank in August as a managing director and head of North America cash equity trading. He will be based in New York and report to <strong>Thomas Patrick</strong>, head of equities for North America.</p>
<p>Spinelli joins from Goldman Sachs &amp; Co., where he was a managing director and financial services sector head for equity trading. Prior to Goldman, he was the head equity trader at Ziff Brother Investments.</p>
<p><strong>Brad Kurtzman</strong> will join the bank in July as a managing director and head of quantitative trading. He will be based in New York and report to Patrick.</p>
<p>Kurtzman brings more than 12 years of trading experience, most recently as head of US equity derivatives trading at Citibank.</p>
<p><strong>Jeff Christian</strong> will join the bank in July as a managing director in equity derivatives sales, based in San Francisco. He will oversee West Coast coverage and report to <strong>Greg Kuppenheimer</strong>, head of US equity derivatives sales.</p>
<p>Christian will join the bank from Credit Suisse, where he spent four years managing West Coast equity derivative sales. Prior to Credit Suisse, he was an executive director at Morgan Stanley, covering hedge funds and asset managers.</p>
<p><strong>Jonathan Simon</strong> will join in July as a managing director in equity derivatives sales. In this New York-based role, he will manage relationships with hedge funds and asset managers, and report to Kuppenheimer.</p>
<p>Simon has more than 20 years of experience and spent the last eight years as a managing director in equity derivative sales at Citigroup.</p>
<p><strong>Zahid Biviji</strong> started in April as a managing director in index flow trading. He is based in New York and reports to <strong>Tom Jarck</strong>, head of US index flow trading.</p>

<p>Joerger will be responsible for directing farmland property manager relationships as well as acquisition and disposition processing, including financial modeling and investment presentation. He will also be responsible for the group&#8217;s property-level risk management and farmland appraisal program.</p>

<p>Sze has been appointed a managing director and market Leader for Greater China, effective from July 16, 2012. He will be based in Hong Kong reporting to <strong>Anna Wong</strong>, market area head Greater China.</p>

<p>Townsend joins MetLife from Chartis, where he most recently served as chief executive officer of the company&#8217;s Asia-Pacific region. Earlier, he was the CEO for Hong Kong, head of mergers and acquisitions, and held a number of senior leadership roles in Hong Kong, Singapore, London and Sydney.
