Solid perfumes have a variety of useful roles in one's fragrance wardrobe. They're a great option for people with dry skin, as they come in an oil based solid form that imparts moisture. They're also safe for the beach, as they do not contain alcohol - alcohol based perfumes and sun exposure can cause phototoxic reactions. They travel well with no spillage and also work to prolong the life of your favorite fleeting scents.

When I was contacted by a representative from k. hall designs, I opted to try the Fig scented solid perfume. I love the creamy tartness of the fig, but unfortunately it can be quite fleeting in fragrance. I was hoping the solid perfume could remedy this problem.

Recently I've been on the hunt for the holy grail of haircare products. I have chemically processed, porous hair that doesn't like to hold color - and I've got a lot of it, so it's easy for it to get weighed down with styling products and look like I've got a mop on my head instead of hair. I tested 7 shampoos that claimed to help preserve hair color that didn't deliver, and countless conditioners that weighed my hair down. I was really surprised at how many drugstore hair products were completely ineffective.

I have been using Warren-Tricomi's Style: Volume shampoo and conditioner for the past two weeks. I began immediately after refreshing my color to evaluate how it affects color longevity. The verdict? Two weeks later, my hair color hasn't faded in any detectable way - this is a miracle considering how color was washing right out of my hair, in some instances after 2 washes with previous products.

As for volume, let me share some before and after photos. Click 'Read More' below to get the full scoop!

Just a heads up that the much anticipated #131 brush is now available on MACCosmetics.com

A flat, tapered face brush featuring a combination of short, natural fibres and longer synthetic fibres making it ideal for the highlighting/contouring of Mineralize Skinfinish and all powder products.

Price: $40.00USD

Available: MACCosmetics.com (The brush is not available yet on MACPro.com)

How many of you plan on picking this up and what will you be using it for?

Summer is, in my mind, the perfect time to take extra special care of our skin. This probably sounds a little weird but when I consider all the bad things I do during summer (Who doesn't love laying in a (chlorinated) pool drinking frosty (alcoholic) beverages while eating (decadent) food and not doing much else?) the extra attention I pay to my skin makes me want to take better care overall.

Lancaster 365 Cellular Elixir Expert Institute at Home ($129 USD) is an amazing way to rejuvenate skin in the comfort of your own home. The intention behind the kit is to increase bloodflow to the skin using vibrations via the Double Action Beauty Accelerator Tool.

Recently hitting the nail scene with some new and exciting colors is a company called Barielle. I regularly read some of the nail blogs and I have noticed that they make quite a few shades that are similar to some of MAC's cult products, so I thought to do a series of posts featuring these product pairings.

I decided to begin this series with the iconic Parrot eyeshadow. We all know and love this intensely colored turquoise beauty. Read on for photos of this Parrot-inspired manicure!

All this weekend on RedTagCrazy.com - C&C California!

C&C California was created by two young women who grew up on the beaches of Southern California during the 1970's. Their mutual love for the styles, colors and comfort of that decade continued to evoke and inspire them. Inspired from the cultural icons of that era that included Ali McGraw, Raquel Welch, Natalie Wood and Jacqueline Kennedy, the concept was dedicated to making The Perfect Tee Shirt.

The fabric was designed to be lightweight, butter soft and ideal for layering. It was made from 100% cotton to ensure classic comfort and sophistication. Colors are chosen to reflect the 70's vivid surf and beach scene along with rainbow colored hues that are seen at vibrant sunsets at the beach. One of the most important aspects of the collection is that every style and every color is created to layer and mix perfectly with one another. Each piece offers a different combination. Check it out at RedTagCrazy.com!
