Coke Zero 400 Preview

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series heads to Daytona this weekend for a Saturday night race under the lights.

Last year Kyle Busch dominated this race. He won after leading 86 laps.

This year I think the Hendrick Motorsports teams will do well.

During the Daytona 500 earlier this year Jeff Gordon and Mark Martin had the cars to beat but the race was shortened to 152 laps by rain.

Look for Jeff Gordon Mark Martin and yes even Dale Earnhardt Jr. to do well on Saturday night!

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series moves up north to the New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The race includes an extra lap for added value :)

Drivers to watch for include Denny Hamlin,
JimmieJohnson and Ryan Newman.

But I think Tony Stewart will win at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. He is coming off of a second place finish at
Infineon Raceway, a win at Pocono Raceway, he also has two wins at the track and he is leading the points so I think Tony will win this weekend.

He started on the pole and led 217 of 313 laps to pick up his 7th win of the season and the 40th of his career. Johnson has a 141 point lead going into the last race of the season at Homestead-Miami Speedway so all he has to do is finish 36th or better even if Carl Edwards leads the most laps and wins the race. If he does win it will be his third championship in a row and he will tie Cale Yarborough as the only driver to win three championships in a row. Yarborough won his consecutive titles from 1976-78.

Neither Carl Edwards and Greg Biffle have a win at Phoenix International Raceway. Edwards did manage a fourth place finish in the spring but his average finish is 14.5. Greg Biffle finished ninth in the spring but his average finish is just 16.4. Jimmie Johnson has an average finish of 6.0 at Phoenix and has won the last two consecutive races at that track. I think he will be tough to beat. Look for Kevin Harvick and Matt Kenseth as my sleeper picks. Both are Chase drivers who have not won this season and both run well at Phoenix.
