News: Believe in the Goal: Superstar Summer Showdown

The 5th Annual Superstar Summer Showdown will be taking place at the MTS Iceplex on Thursday, August 11th. The event is a trademark of the Believe in the Goal Foundation, which was established by St Paul's alumnus Todd Davison '04 (in the photo below leaning on the shovel at the Mother-Son event in 2004). In June 2004, two days after his convocation from St Paul’s High School, 17 year old Todd Davison ’04 was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. While Todd continued his personal battle, he also applied his trademark perseverance and limitless spirit to a larger goal: the fight to end cancer. In being a true man for others, Todd felt that after the cancer community had given him so much, he wanted to give back. He wanted to ensure that no one ever felt alone, and never gave up. As a former member of the Western Hockey League, Todd organized a hockey game featuring NHL stars who he played with and against – Jonathon Toews, Cam Barker ’04, Jordin Tootoo and Travis Zajac to mention a few. St Paul's alumni, family and friends are invited to come out and support the Believe in the Goal Foundation and those who are still fighting the disease today.
