When you have little kids, it is hard to go to a crowded place like amusement park, you have to make sure that you have your eyes glued to them so they won't get lost.

We went to the store and bought some groceries.
Visited my FIL and made some mini pizzas and ate lunch with Dad.
I have so many cherry tomatoes in my garden so I dug out some and planted it at my FIL's garden.

We attended the last mass for the school year.
We also attended the end-of-the-school party for the first graders at Hanover Park.
We visited my FIL after the party.

May 26, 2012:

Stripped off our beds and washed all the bedding. My day was spent doing laundry, cooking, and some gardening.
We visited my FIL after I got done with my laundry.

May 27, 2012:

We had our family outing at my BIL's residence out in Chester. The get-together was a success.
I made some rice noodles and brought it there.
It's almost 1 am and a still trying to update my blogs, whew. I have been busy for days and can't really blog.

May 24, 2012:

We had a very busy day today. We atended mass this morning and in the afternoon, we went to Hanover park for the end of the school party for the first graders. The Burritos played so hard that when we came home, they crashed in bed.
When they woke up from a long nap, we went and visited my FIL.
I am so glad that school days has ended, we can all wake up a little later than 6 am wohoooo..

Memorial Party

We attended the end of the school year class party at Hanover Park today. I decided to buy some cookies to bring to the party since there will be a lot of kids. We had fun and we were all exhausted. When we came home, my SIL called inviting us for the memorial party at their home on Sunday. It would be great to bring something special like the selections of the shari's berries gift baskets aside from the dish that we are bringing. The time is just short to have it though so maybe next time.

May 24, 2012:

Ms. Burrito's school had their sports Olympic today. Me and my son went to watch in the school field. It was a beautiful day and what a great way to end the school. They still have to go tomorrow for the ending mass but that is it, they are done. My little pumpkin will be in second grade already. We will have a end-party celebration at Hannover Park tomorrow afternoon.
We visited my FIL, I planted some flowers at his flower bed down the backyard. We also visited my SIL and played with their dogs and Gracie.
We had upo squash sauteed with sardines for lunch and mung beans with pork for dinner.
We went for a walk again this afternoon.

I love coleslaw and I realy want to try to make some. Glad I found a good recipe at amandascookin.com (to see the recipe, just go to the comment section). Next time I would make coleslaw, I wouldn't add onions (am not crazy about the onion) and I will shred the carrot and cabbage a little bigger so the texture won't be mushy..

I planted the tomatoes that our neighbor gave us early this morning.
Ms. Burrito's school will have their school olympics tomorrow. This week was a fun week for Ms. Burrito because they were done with their lessons last week, they only did a few this week and the rest are fun, fun, fun,. There would be an en-of-school mass on Friday morning.

Vinyl Shutters

Hubby and I made a good decision in buying the white vinyl shutters that we put at our front windows, it matches beautifully with our newly built porch. When we first came back here from Korea, our shutter was literally shuttered, they fell down our yard and the windows looks crappy without one. Home improvement is definitely a continuous pursuit of every homeowners.

There is no hot lunch in school so I prepared a cold lunch for Ms. Burrito to bring in school. This is the last week of their school so they are not required to wear uniform.
I got a blister in my hand after mowing the grass. Hubby was going to do it but I told him that I need an exercise, so I did it.

We went for a walk again yesterday. Our main goal this summer is to go for a walk every chance we can get so we would stay fit. The kids love to ride their bike while hubby and I walk. Yesterday, hubby ran while the kids are biking. I am so glad that my husband does not smoke because it's one of the main thing that ignites my migraine. May 20, 2012:

We had hotdog wrapped with bacon and scrambled egg with cheese for breakfast.
We cleaned the house after eating breakfast. Thanks to the hubs for helping!
We visited FIL right after atending the mass. Stayed there for a couple of house. I made some Kielbasa with sour krout and chopped one hot pepper. I also prepared Dad's stuffed pepper.
I started laundry when we came back then when the sun went down, we went for a walk around the neighborhood.
I made some grilled beef ribs, mashed potatoes and rigatoni for dinner.
I just now finished folding clothes and now ready to go to bed.

We went to Tomlinson Run for a birthday party but unfortunately, after waiting for an hour we left as the salad that I made might get spoiled.
We decided to bring the salad at Dad's then we grilled some burger and hotdogs.
I took the kids for a long walk and we went to the Marland Heights Park.
We had fried rice with corned beef, chicken with mushroom, and eggs for dinner.

I made some sweet and spicy chicken with mushroom. I used the Lee Kum Kee's sauce for pork chop.
We baked some tater tots for midnight snack.
We visited Dad and spent time with him, Jen, and Gracie.
We brought Max to the Vet to remove his stitches.

Summer Scent

I was busy doing my online tasks a while ago and my husband who is outside our backyard hollered "Come outside for a little while and enjoy the nice weather!" I was developing a migraine earlier so I decided to pause for a while and have a little siesta outside. The summer scent is so refreshing and it is so revitalizing to hear the kids screaming for joy at a nearby school. It gives me this feeling of being a youth once again. Times like this makes me appreciate all the blessing s that God gave me./ Oftentimes, we tend to forget all the great things that we have around us and sometimes concentrate on the negative aspect of life. That is why, it is a must that you pause for a while and just enjoy the moment.

But anyhow, coming back inside, it is time for me to enjoy my eyes to a virtual tour. I love looking a these beautiful tuscany villas listing at Villas in Tuscany website. Even though, we won't be able to go on a major vacation this year, I still love to enjoy browsing the Internet for some deals on vacation packages. You never know what luck would bring you one day. I dream that one day, we would be able to travel around Europe and other parts of the world. That would be something to enjoy during retirement. I hope that we would be given a chance to enjoy that luxury in life someday.

Whenever we go to the Asian store in Pittsburgh, we always look if there are mangoes. They seldom has it so when they do have some, we always buy a box of it. These champagne mangoes are product of Mexico. This is the kind of mangoes that we have in the Philippines.

Sweet Onion Rings

Our neighbor gave us some sweet onions so I made some onion rings yesterday. It was delicious. I used tempura batter mix and some spices. I am not fond of onions but I liked the crunchy and sweet onion rings.

Time flies, it is not the middle of the month and I haven't accomplish anything big, sigh.
I made some pancit canton garnished with shredded carrots, boiled egg, and scallions.
We visited my FIL and I brought some plants and planted it in his garden.
We also dropped by at my SIL's house to visit but there was no one there except Fat Boy. We played with him a little bit then we left.

On Mother's day, we decided to just relax at home because it's rainy and wet outside. Instead of battling with the crowd in a restaurant, I cooked a simple meal for us to enjoy. Some fried chicken, mashed potatoes, veggies and rice filled our tummies.
We visited my FIL to complete our day.

Oh boy, it is now past midnight and I am still up. I was so busy today that I wasn't able to bog. Oh well, we had a productive day so it's okay.
I mowed the grass at our backyard today I was going to work out at our mini gym downstairs but decided to work in our lawn.
We visited my FIL after I got done mowing the grass.
When we came home, we went for a long walk together with our good friend/neighbor, Don. He showed us the cave at the hill where the Football field for Madonna is. It was our first time walking around in that place. It was nice.
I made wild rice,grilled chicken, and broccoli with bacon bits and cheese for dinner.

My son and I went to church this morning to watch the first graders sing during the 2nd graders first communion. It was very sad that no priest showed up for the special occasion. Our former priest has transferred to his hometown and the new one hasn't arrive yet.

Ms. Burrito went back to school today. She enjoyed the two extra days off from school due to their teacher's meeting and the election yesterday.
