February 21, 2012:

My husband has a bad stomach ache when he woke up so he did not go to school He is s6till laying in bed so sick.
When I woke my daughter up, I saw it i b her eyes that she wasn't feeling very well so I ask her if she's okay and she said yes. At around 12:30, her teacher called and informed me that Ms. Burrito is indeed sick. She vomited all over the place so I went to school and picked her up. Now I have three patients at home. Mr. Burrito just got better with his stomach flu but he is still recuperating. Oh, I get worried when all the three are sick. It's very hard for a Mom to see her kids suffer. Ms. Burrito threw up again when she came home and now she is sleeping. I hope and pray that the three will get better soon.
It's almost midnight and I thought that everything will be okay but my son woke up and vomited all over the bed. I had to give him a hot shower and now I am washing all the bedding. I spent washing yucky clothes and bedding today. Oh my goodness, I hope that the stomach virus will leave my lovelies alone.

Before I came here in the States, I tried to buy a piece of land in the place where I came from. However, the developer had a problem with the city and postponed the development of the area. I tried to request for a refund but the developer did not want to return the investment I paid. So we hired a lawyer to process the refund for us but unfortunately, it's been two years since the petition was filed and nothing is happening.

I just wish that there are dependable lawyers in our place like the lawyers in Barrie who confidently delivers their services to the clients with results. When it comes to legal system, I think my country is the most slowest that I have experienced. Lucky are the people in Barrie Ontario because they have lawyers that they can depend on just like Stewart Esten. It must be very nice to get a result of your legal claim in a reasonable amount of time unlike the over due wait period of my claim. Forty Three

The father of our household turned forty three last Friday. He had classes the whole day that day. Ms. Burrito asked me not to cook until she gets home from school so she could help. We made some rice stick noodles (pancit bihon) and made some puto.

Hubby skipped one subject so he could get home early. So when he came home, the food is not done yet. The puto was a little dried out because I baked it instead of steaming it but it still tasted good.

We had a simple celebration at home. The kids made a home made card for their Dad.

Mr. Burrito is still sick so we won't be able to go to church. We might just stay home the whole day since hubby has a lot of homework to do.
~~Will update this tonight. Need to start doing my weekend cleaning since I wasn't able to do it yesterday.~~
Hubby and Mr. Burrito visited Dad but me and Ms. Burrito stayed at home. I painted her nails to lighten up her mood, she was having a pissy mood when she got up this morning.
I made a pan of pizza for dinner.

February 18, 2012:

We will be out for the day. Going to Highland Hills to do our taxes and visit relatives.
Mr. Burrito was complaining of a stomach ache when he got up then he vomited three times. We already had an appointment so we went and I was worried sick while on the way because he vomited again in the car. I think he has a stomach flu virus because whatever he takes in, goes out too.
We got done with our taxes right around 2 pm and was able to reach home around 3. We were not able to visit my FIL because of Mr. Burrito's condition. Hubby went alone to clean up Dad's gutter.
My SIL came here tonight. She made a chocolate pie as a birthday treat for my husband, thanks Chris.

Something unfortunate happened here at home yesterday and I lost my motivation to blog. Accident is costly!
~~This is just a quick update, planned to cook some foodie for my husband's birthday.~~
Me and Mr. Burrito did some arts for our class. I helped him make a birthday card for his Dad. He did a great job in making it and hubby loved it!
Me and Ms. Burrito made a pan of pancit and some puto. I don't like baking so, no cake for hubby wahhh. We got creative with the puto though. That's where we put the candles.
We visited my FIL after we ate dinner. We went for a family walk, it was so cold but we enjoyed it. Oh we brought Champ with us and he was running so hard that he broke one of his nails, ouch!

Gazebo Wish

If there's one thing that I would love to have in our backyard, that would be a gazebo. Hubby and I looked at some last year at the nearby store and I like those wood gazebo ones. Hey look sturdy and they look so beautiful. Hubby got his project done which is the front porch and I am wishing to have mine sometime in the future, that is to have a gazebo at my backyard hehehe.

Manufactured Homes

There is one area here in the city where we live that has manufactured homes. I told my husband that I find them really neat and cute. Hubby said that you can actually buy manufactured homes for sale nowadays and they are heavy duty too. He said that some of it are much stronger than the regular homes. I think I would love to live in one.

Computer Lab

During the open house at my daughter's school, we got to see them in action. We got the chance to see them interact with the teachers and fellow students. Our last destination was the computer lab, even my son got the chance to use one of their computers. Private school doesn't get funding from the government so I am sure that the school administration look for cheap computer desks when they buy their school supplies.

February 16, 2012:

We attended mass today but Ms. Burrito wasn't there. I failed to look at the schedule of their masses at church. For the last two Thursdays that we did not attend, she said that it would be great to have us there in the church so we went.
We visited Dad after the mass and stayed there for a while. When we came home, I started my laundry.
I made some tacos for lunch. We ate bacon, eggs, and Hawaiian rolls for breakfast.
Hubby brought max to the Vet today.

Being a teacher, I do not make as much money as I would like. I have taught for six years, and got my masters degree after teaching for two years. I am now working on getting my doctorate primarily for the pay increase. Until I get my doctorate, I will have to find ways to save money because my wife stays home with our two kids. I have a friend who told me that he saved money on his power bill by switching to fixed-rate energy. I did an online search for electric rates for texas residents and found that we could also switch. My wife gets so stressed out talking about finances because her parents always fought about money when she was growing up. I have told her several times that it is necessary for a couple to talk about budgeting, but she would rather me just handle all of the budgeting instead of talking to her about it. It’s not that we’re struggling financially, but we are having to watch what we spend since we do want to save some money for the kids’ college funds. I guess that’s just part of life with kids.

February 14, 2012:

Hubby had to stay late in school so Valentine's day for us is just an ordinary day. He got me a pot of miniature roses which I love and a sweet card, thanks Hon!
I made spaghetti for dinner and we brought some for Dad when my husband came home. We spent a couple of hours at Dad's the kids made him a card and he was pretty happy.
My SIL also came and she got the kids some sweet treats and other stuff, thanks Chris.
Ms. Burrito is coughing so we gave her a doze of meds before she went to bed.

February 13, 2012:

Ms. Burrito did not go to school today. She was so congested so we told her to just stay home. It's better that way so the other kids won't get sick.
I went to school and picked up her homework. She just got done doing all of it. I am now baking some chicken wings for our dinner. Hubby will be home in an hour so this would ready by then.
We finished our valentine project earlier this morning.

We gave Ms. Burrito some meds again, she still hasn't feeling well. I am not sure if she could go to school tomorrow.
Mr. Burrito on the other hand cut himself with a scissor this afternoon, oh boy, my baby boy is very prone to accident this month.

We are doing our taxes this weekend so it would be off our shoulder and pay the due amount for the state. My husband tried to do it online but it's not giving us the option that we need to put some of our deductions so we will let H&R Block do it for us. My husband's niece works at one of the Tax company that prepares big branches at Highland Hills so we are going there this weekend. If we will get back some tax return, we are planning to turn our dining room into a bedroom which means that we will need a small dining set to fit the space we were putting it in. The set in the photo is the perfect one that I found at Best Offer Furniture. They have good deals on dining room tables, dining sets, and other dining room accessories and furniture. If you compare their prices from other furniture company provider, you would find that their offered prices are much lesser than the competition. When we bought our dining room set years ago, we did not have the time to canvas from different stores because the other one is too far from us. But now that I have access online, it is easier to find the best deal.

We decided not to go to church today. Ms. Burrito isn't feeling well.
I a doing some laundry and planned to bloghop earlier but until now I still haven't done any bloghopping, whew.

Whitney Houston and Grammy Award

The famous pop queen, Whitney Houston was supposed to perform at the Grammy Award this year but due to her untimely death, I am sure that they will rework the program and make a tribute for her. I imagine that any big event like the Grammy Award, a lot of people would want to get a peek on their superstar idols. This is where crowd control like stanchions, velvet rope, and barricades comes in handy.

The big Grammy Award night will be tonight so tune in for more surprises. I read an article that Jennifer Hudson will be featured to pay tribute to the pop queen so let us see. Whitney Houston will be remembered with her popular songs like "I Wanna Dance with Somebody", Didn't we almost have it All" and more. I remember her through the "Bodyguard" movie.

Omelet with Spinach

I make omelet once in a while and I always put different fillings. Sometimes I use mini pepperonis, bacon bits, tomatoes and peppers, but this time I only used frozen spinach and cheese. It was my first time but I a glad it turned out really good.

February 11, 2012:

We just got done eating our brunch (fried rice, bacon, and eggs).
We set a doctor appointment for Mr. Burrito. I noticed some ring-lie red spots on our son's feet and I am worried about it. With my husband's family having a history of cancer, I am a little paranoid. It's better to make sure and find out what's wrong than to assume that it's nothing serious. Medical bills are expensive but the life our children is worth every penny.
I did my weekend cleaning (vacuuming and dusting).

We just got home. We went straight to my FIL after we brought Mr. Burrito to the doctor. The doctor did not know what's in Mr. Burrito's feet. She said that it looked like hives but she said to observe it for a day or two and call them when it get worse. Hmmnnn.
The kids went sled riding with their Dad, I was only few minutes outside and I couldn't take the cold so I went inside lol.
Hubby baked some muffins here this morning and baked a cake at Dad's.
We had a good snow accumulation today. The road was a little bit slippery when we came home.

I just got done creating my clipix account and so far I find it very useful. I am very forgetful and sometimes I miss to do some things that I need to do because I forgot about it. With this clipix, I would be able to track down important events, movies that I want to watch, and fun activities that me and my children can do during weekends. For those who have iPhone, you would like clipix because you can use it anywhere you go as long as you have the clipix iPhone App. There are so many things that you can do with clipix and it is a very useful App that you can have to help you organize with your event.

I just created a customized clipboard about vacation and gift ideas. We are still planning for our getaway this year and still in the process of gathering different options. February 10, 2012:

I had a horrible day today. It started this morning when I checked my email and saw that the setting was changed, inbox was empty (which was very odd), and I suddenly get a lot of bounced email. Oh boy, I hurried up and changed my login info but it was too late as the hacker hacked my email two hours before I checked. Everyone in my list was sent with an email containing a sobbing story asking for money. Oh boy!
Ms. Burrito had a play-date after school today. She rode a transit bus with her friend after school.
Then I was busy attending to my email issues, Mr. Burrito got bit by Wubbzy. Good thing, it was just a warning bite. I guess my son provoked our bunny because he never bite as long as you don't hurt him.
Hubby had a bad day in school too. He came home later that I expected, he said that he talked to one of his professors after the test.
Thanks to the Butervaugh family for having Ms. Burrito.
When hubby arrived, we went to Ms. Burrito's friend's house and got her.
I made some sisig for dinner and the kids ate beefaroni.

Marketing Strategy

It's amazing how social media marketing strategy can influence the consumers. Social media is one of the main source for consumers when it comes to what is trending at the moment. This is I don't believe that one of the most hyped social media is closing. I think, it is just their strategy to get a paid membership. But then again, I don't the real reason why they announced that they are closing.

But anyhow, a lot of business establishments nowadays are using social media marketing strategy to reach out for their target market. I actually bought products that I saw being promoted in a social media. It is also one avenue to find great deals on stuff. How about you, does social media has an impact on your decision to buy things? I for one, reads comments and thoughts of customers of what they think about certain products and services and social media is full of it.

February 9, 2012:

We visited Dad after we picked up Ms. Burrito from School. Ms. Burrito and I played some piano tunes while we were there. We are planning to look for a piano teacher that could teach the Burritos, they are very interested in learning it. I do want to learn too.
Our dinner was Subway's footlong sandwiches.
Ms. Burrito's ballet class went well tonight.
Gotta hit the sack now as I have to wake up really early tomorrow. Need to prepare hubby some lunch. He has long days in school on Friday's. He leaves very early and doesn't come home till later in the afternoon. Oh by the way, I would like to congratulate my husband for making the Dean's list once again. It is his 4th time in a row ever since he went back to school. Great job Kulangot!

Did laundry and some reading lessons with Mr. Burrito.
I made some pork chops, Asian style using the Lee Kum Kee sauce for dinner.
We visited my FIL after eating dinner and got done folding the clothes. I feel bad because he said that he has been waiting for us but he's glad that we came even if it's late. He wanted me to make stuffed pepper but thought that we won't come anymore so he made it.

Accounting Software

Hubby has a big accounting test tomorrow and he's glad that he is off today to study. He is now in he is study room busting his brain in reviewing his stuff. He said that it would be nice to have an accounting software that he could use once he started working s he could familiarize himself with the accounting stuff.
