MONDAY is always a pretty important day for us, digesting the successes and feedback from the weekend and finalizing plans for events over the coming week.

Big event of this last weekend was undoubtedly our National Dragon Boat Racing Day At Pershore, Nr Evesham with associated camping and party. Quite a weekend for those taking part.

Locally, we had THREE separate social gatherings on Friday Night, in Northampton, Bunny Nr Loughborough and in Oadby, South Leicester.

Spice East Midlands members were also Dinghy Sailing at Carsington Water, walking with Margaret Brown in the Northamptonshire countryside, Abseiling 4 the Terrified (hopefully terrified no longer), fighting Tank Battles Nr Lutterworth, doing Digital Photography at the Birmingham Botanic Gardens and of course walking in the Peak District which we do every Sunday. There was also a weekend away in the Lake District (Patterdale and Ulswater). Not such a quiet weekend for some.

This week, as we get into holiday season proper, outdoor events flourish and proliferate although conversely we sometime see a negative effect on some of our regular social nights with so many people away.

WEDNESDAY night we have another relaxed Evening Walk and Optional Meal Nr to Rutland Water starting from the Fox and Hounds pub in Exton, recently given higher profile by an appearance in the TV Top Gear program.

THURSDAY, our regular Book Club meets in Nottingham. This week we are discussing the Cat Who Came In From the Cold written by Deric Longdon.

FRIDAY sees the next of our hugely popular Spice East Midlands Club Nights for All at the Bradgate in Newtown Linford Nr M1/J22. Open to all and all are welcome. £6 meal option for those arriving by 8pm.

Our Norfolk Coast Walking Weekend starting Friday is now FULL.

Still places available on the Welsh Ridge Walking Weekend based at our regular retreat at Llust Fach, Nr Welshpool.

Still also a further MALE place available on the Surfing Weekend at super cool Croyde Beach.

Our Open Canoe Trip on the Nene for this weekend is still FULL as our two initial dates for this filled up super fast, but there are now further dates for August and September if needed.

A brilliant Peak District walk this weekend on the high places close to Hartington and Longnor. It is 12 miles so not for the faint hearted but once we get high, we stay high for most of the day so well within the capability of most regular walkers.

If there are any more for Jongleurs in Wellingborough, please book without delay so that we can be sure of the right number of tickets.

Other event availability as shown.
