Night owls have limited options in most places, but there are some countries and cities, which are truly the hubs of a dazzling nightlife. One such place is France - and mostly because of its renowned capital city - Paris.

Visit Paris, and you will want to be back for more. Its a city right out of renaissance and into the 21st century. Louvre, Arc de triumph and Eiffel tower jostle for space with pubs, dsicotheques and all night restaurants. Not only is Paris the city of light, but of sound, music, dance, and revelry. Progressive Paris also promises a wealth of nighttime opportunities for gay men and women, mostly in the Marais neighborhood.

If you don't like the French, you might prefer the English! The UK is known for its laidback lifestyle, along with its famous pubs and nightclubs. London - the capital city, is world famous for its party vibe and non-stop nightlife. It is seething with after-hours drinking and dancing dens of all shapes and sizes. From the pulsating dancefloors of major nightclubs to the chilled intimacy of smaller DJ bars, London has something to offer both hardcore party animals and those looking for a quiet drink and conversation. If you plan to visit London, you should be looking to book hotels near London attractions for ease of travel.

However, London is not just the only city in UK to boast of a great nightlife. Manchester is also a fast developing night life hub. From the theme clubs of Peter Street to the underground club nights in the Northern Quarter, Manchester's nightlife has matured since the 'Madchester' era, when the Hacienda and the Boardwalk us on the clubbing map. The club scene made famous by the Haçienda continues to draw crowds. And there’s a stack of smaller, edgier live music venues offering you a chance to catch the next Smiths or Stone Rose. Its a city that loves to party with a huge student population chomping at the bit - you are guaranteed cracking nightlife. Make sure you book hotels in Manchester CBD for the best experience.

A Vacation in Mumbai

Last week I travelled to Mumbai, India's commercial capital and home to the popular Hindi film industry - Bollywood. Well, it opens our eyes up to this idea that we are influenced in our lives by what we believe.

Our beliefs determine the way we view life and ultimately affect the choices that we make either consciously or unconsciously. If we believe that our life is over when we die, then we consciously or unconsciously have a fear of the unknown that comes after this event.

If we believe that we are eternal and that we are all engaged in a never-ending process of conceiving, creating and experiencing all of the different aspects and perspectives of this beautiful concept called love, then we will view the ceasing of our human bodily functions not with a fear of the unknown but with a love of the known.

Our paradigm shifts from one of fear to one of love. Our paradigm shifts from believing that we don't know anything and we are just discovering everything in life, to one of believing that all things are known to us and we are in the continuous process of creating in our reality all that we know but haven't experienced yet.

We quit leading lives of quiet desperation and begin to live lives of active manifestation. Instead of settling for the mundane, we strive to reach new heights that open to vistas of incredible beauty, lightness and knowingness.

If you believe that you are a creating machine in the eternal process of creating your existence from moment-to-moment and relishing in the joy of each moment of now, then you would realize that that beingness does not stop when you choose the experience of your physical death.

When your bodily functions cease you may stop creating in this physical plane we call earth, but you will not stop creating. The mind-body-spirit being that you are will merely go on to its next creation in another form in the realm of the absolute from which it came.

In the realm of the absolute, all things will be revealed to you once again because you are no longer bound by the voluntary amnesia that you agreed to upon entering the physical universe. This concept we know as time will cease to exist because in the realm of the absolute there is no time except the eternal moment of now.

So this re-membering of your self as you become a member once again of the all that is, is a continuation of your eternal evolvement. As you move from the physical to the metaphysical you see that your creations happen instantly. You are no longer bound by the limitations of time and the physical slowness of the relative universe, so whatever thought occurs to you that you choose to pursue and manifest happens in an instant.

Many people believe that they have been good enough and followed the rules well enough in life that they will go to heaven when they die. Upon their physical death they may be holding the thought that they are going to heaven. Once they cross over from physical existence to metaphysical existence, they can choose the experience of heaven and that experience will instantly manifest in their reality.

Many people believe that they have not led a good enough life here on earth to deserve the rewards of heaven, so their thoughts and their fear of going to hell is utmost in their minds when they enter the threshold of death. Whatever they have visualized as this place called hell is created by them as they move from the physical to the metaphysical upon their earthly death.

Both realities can be created and each choice is as valid as the other. But once again, we are in the realm of the absolute now, so if you chose the experience of hell upon your death and you didn't like that experience, then, if you feel that it doesn't serve you, just like on earth, you can choose again from the infinite variety of choices available to you and, unlike the time delay for manifestation as it is on earth, your new creation will happen instantly. If you don't like the experience of hell, if it doesn't seem to serve you, then choose to create heaven and see if that serves you.

You see instantly, after your earthly death, what takes time and insight to see while you are residing in the realm of the physical. You see that every thought is creative, and you can create in your reality any thought that you choose to pursue. This takes the concept of "instant gratification" to the utmost.

Richard Blackstone is an award winning author and international speaker on Love, Oneness & Creation. But, every place in the world is different and similarly an Asian holiday will be vastly different from an American or a European holiday. I recommend you check out the travel stories in Asia to help plan your Asian holiday.

Why should you check it out? Well there are lots of reasons for that. Firstly, its an authority blog on Asian travel news and stories which gives you valuable insights on a variety of topics related to Asian travel. For example, in one of the blog posts - Strange Cultural Habits in China, the blog author delves into some really unique cultural habits of the Chinese which would appear odd to the average westerner.

Secondly, its regularly updated with important stories. There is also one very useful post on the best beaches in Asia. Asia has some fantastic beaches which you would be hard put to find in a western country. When booking a hotel, the obvious factors are price and the standard of the room. Breakfast can often be an afterthought. The most convenient way of booking a hotel is doing it online. Easytobook.com is one great website which allows you to book Amsterdam hotels sitting in front of your computer in any part of the world! Amsterdam of course, is one of the top tourist destinations in the world.

Location is a key factor in booking a hotel by costumers, next to cleanliness and pricing, according to a recent consumer ratings and reviews survey by leading accommodation specialist. When we talk of holidays and hotels, the most favoured holiday destination that comes to mind is Europe. Almost all of the countries in western and central Europe are great tourist destinations, and booking a hotel in them can be a mammoth task. Thats where easytobook.com really steps in. Whether you're booking hotels in London or hotels in Prague, easytobook has online soultions for all!

The great thing is, that easytobook service is not just available in Europe but in the United States of America as well. It would be a crime not to mention a couple of them. There is an entry on the Three Most Futuristic Cities - in which the author talks about why and how Dubai, Hong Kong and Tokyo are the three most futuristic cities of the world.

Another very likeable post was the one titled Top Five Ice Cold Hotels! As the name suggests, it talks about hotels in the forzen environment. But its just not that. The article profiles hotels that have been fuly or partially built from ice! Located in places like Canada and Sweden, some of them are built on the concept of the Igloo!

Coming back to the main blog, the catchline on the blog is last minute hotel deals, which is quite nice for those who plan thier holidays at the last moment. The main website on ratestogo.com covers over 12,000 last-minute reservations on hotels. Users can book hotels three weeks in advance and help refer them to extra services including car hire, flights, travel insurance, sightseeing attractions, transfers, and worldwide calling cards.

A New Web Directory

Sarthak K recently launched a free website directory which he has titled the Internet Market Web Directory. This links index has a very pleasing and attractive design themed in bold red color. You just need to sign up once on the directory at www.internet-market.info (no activation emails to click) and you can submit unlimited links for acceptance in the directory. The links are normally approved within 48 hours (subject to quality of site).

One mistake that webmasters commonly make while submitting thier links to this directory is that they include the http:// in the url of the site when they are submitting a link - even though the http:// of the url is already published there. See screenshot for reference:

So for example if your URL is http://www.slgp.org, you should only submit www.slgp.org as http:// is already prevalent from the directory. In case you submit the whole url with the http://, then your actual submission will look like this - http://http://www.slgp.org!

The Internet Market web directory also has publishes a blog on internet marketing in its subdomain. It's a city that thrives on change and that has made a virtue out of reinventing itself. Berlin has one of the most diverse and vibrant nightlife scenes in Europe. After the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 many buildings in Mitte, the former city center of East Berlin were renovated. Hotels in Berlin can be found cheap if you know the right places to look.

Vienna is the capital and largest city of Austria, and the Historic City Centre was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It will be one of the eight host cities in the 2008 European Football Championships. The traditional Vienna is but one of the many façades of this city. Vienna is also a dynamic, young city, famous for its (electronic) music scene with independent labels, cult-status underground record stores, and a vibrant club scene. Hotels in Vienna can also be found cheap if you know where to look.

By now you must be aware that this blog post is a tale of two cities - Berlin and Vienna, that combined together make a tourist heaven in the heart of Europe. If possible, you should adjust your European holiday calendar such that you get to travel both the cities. In Germany, Lufthansa has direct flights to Vienna from Berlin (Tegel) and v.v. As the carrier frequently offers special web only deals (as well as a 'happy hour' page where visitors can bid for flights) you are advised to check online for Lufthansa's latest prices. There are now also a number of low-cost flights from Austria to Germany, with Air Berlin operating services to Vienna from Dortmund, Hamburg and Duesseldorf and Germanwings also flying to the Austrian capital from Cologne-Bonn (CGN). In addition, Sky Europe offers a good value service from Stuttgart to Vienna (via Bratislava). Basically, you fly direct to Bratislava and then, from there, ride a SkyShuttle bus to Vienna for an extra €10 (the journey is just 50km).

Accommodation is widely available at most time in both the cities except during peak tourists easons when the hotels raise their prices. Hotels in Berlin and hotels in Vienna can burn a hole in your pocket (as mentioned earlier,) if you dont do your homework. Others it is assured that you will have the time of your life!

The Whistler Effect - Tourist Guide

Traveling to exotic locales and having customised holidays can be great fun. That is not true at all. The fact is, creativity is very much like a muscle that needs to be exercised in order to consistently give out great results. If you don't practice harnessing creative thinking, this skill will very much atrophy into inexistence. But keep working and this skill will soon come to you in a snap.

So how do you unleash your creative thinking? Well, the first thing is to become a human leech. No, we're not talking about just sucking the blood out of every living being available, we're saying that you should take in as much knowledge and learning you can find. Read everything available -- good and bad, and keep your mind open to the infinite possibilities of the universe. The more you know, the more you'll want to know, and the more your faculty of wonder will be exercised. Prepare to be amazed at little facts that add a bit of color into your life.

Focus on a creative activity everyday. Yes, it's an effort. Even doodling is a creative activity. Don't let anything hinder you. Mindlessness may be a creative activity, but for people who are just starting out to unleash a little bit of creative thinking in their lives, it is helpful and encouraging to have concrete evidence, that, "hey, what I'm doing is getting somewhere." So why don't you try it. Practice drawing for a couple of minutes each day. Bring out your old camera and start snapping photos like crazy. Keep a journal and make a point to write in it religiously. Another cool idea is to write by describing something with your five senses. Try to avoid vague adjectives like "marvelous," "amazing," and "delicious." Before you know it, you'll have built yourself a tiny portfolio, and you'll be amazed at the growth you've undertaken after amassing all those works of art. Who knows, you might actually take to liking those things you do everyday. Pretty soon those things will become a part of you and you'll be addicted to these creative exercises.

Think out of the box -- or don't. Sometimes, constraints are actually a good thing. Limitations discipline you to work within your means. It enables you to be more resourceful. Creative freedom is great, but limitations enforce discipline.

Try something new everyday and let your experiences broaden your perspective. Explore a new district in your neighborhood. Spend an afternoon in a museum to which you've never been before. Chat up someone on the bus. Open up to the people around you. As you thrust yourself out of your comfort zone more and more each day, your sense of adventure grows and so does your zest for life. Think about it. When was the last time you did something for the first time? If it's been a while, I tell you, you've been missing out on a whole lot of experiences that could've added to your growth, emotionally, mentally, physically, or spiritually. Why don't you try bungee jumping today? Not only will you learn, but you will also have plenty of stories to share, enabling you to practice your storytelling skills and making you the life of the party.

Embrace insanity. No, not to the point of practically admitting yourself into the mental ward. As John Russell once said, "Sanity calms, but madness is more interesting." Exactly! Every creative thought was once deemed insanity by other "normal" people at one time or another. Luckily, that didn't stop the creative geniuses from standing by them. The thing is, sanity or being normal confines people to think... well, normally. Withink limits. Creativity is essentially breaking through barriers. Yes, this includes the bizzarre and the downright strange. I'm not saying that you yourself should develop a creative personality. That might go haywire. An example of a creative personality would be George Washington, who often rode into battle naked, or James Joyce, who wrote "Dubliners" with beetle juice for an intense fear of ink, or Albert Einstein, who thought his cat was a spy sent by his rival (or in thinking creatively in this case, the term could probably be "archnemesis.") It's important that your creativity doesn't get you detached from the real world completely.

I hope this article has inspired you to start thinking beyond your "limits." If you follow these steps pretty soon you'll be living a life full of interesting adventures. Unleashing your creative thinking will bring about a new zest for living life.

A Football Heaven Called England

England is a football crazy nation; talk to any sports fan here and you will come out highly educated about the ins and outs of this highly electric and entertaining game. From the moment you step onto the underground train full of supporters you can feel the excitement and the anticipation in the air.

Once you get to the game there are 90 minutes of action on the pitch, and about 90 minutes of singing off the pitch! Whether it be the Scousers of Liverpool singing 'You'll Never Walk Alone', or fans singing a song in honour of one of their players, or to taunt the opposition, the grounds are rarely quiet.

It's quite difficult to get Premier League tickets, especially to the big clubs. If you're having difficulty, it's usually best to book a long time in advance, and if you don't mind which teams you see, try some of the lesser known clubs in the Premiership. You are lucky if you're a Manchester United fan, because its easy to get accommodation in a Manchester hotel.

It's usually easier to get tickets to teams such as Fulham (London), Middlesbrough (North East England) or Blackburn (North West England) than it is to get tickets to Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United or Arsenal.

If you can't make it to a game, you may like to do a tour of one of our famous stadiums. A London hotel might not necessarily burn a hole in your pocket! Most of the big clubs offer stadium tours where you can get a behind the scenes look at the players' changing rooms, the facilities and if you're lucky a chance to sit in the Manager's match-day seat! Look at the clubs' websites for more details, or you can book a stadium tour of Chelsea's Stanford Bridge ground here.

A Holiday in Sydney

Sydney is located on Australia's south-east coast. The city is built around Port Jackson, which includes Sydney Harbour, leading to the city's nickname, "the Harbour City". It is a major international tourist destination notable for its beaches and twin landmarks: the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. The metropolitan area is surrounded by national parks, and contains many bays, rivers and inlets. It has been recognised as a global city by the Loughborough University group's 1999 inventory. Considering that Sydney is Australia's most expensive city, it is difficult to find cheap hotels in Sydney.

The National Institute of Dramatic Art, based in Kensington, boasts internationally famous alumni such as Mel Gibson, Baz Luhrmann and Cate Blanchett. Sydney's role in the film industry has increased since the opening of Fox Studios Australia in 1998. Prominent films which have been filmed in the city include Moulin Rouge!, Mission Impossible II, Star Wars episodes II and III, Superman Returns, Dark City, Dil Chahta Hai, and The Matrix.

The city has played host to numerous international sporting events, including the 1938 British Empire Games, 2000 Summer Olympics and the 2003 Rugby World Cup. In 2008, Sydney will also host the 23rd Roman Catholic World Youth Day. Sydney is one of the most multicultural cities in the world which reflects its role as a major destination for immigrants to Australia. Sydney accommodation is said to be world class. Hotels in Sydney cater to a wide variety of tourists for various regional backgrounds.

Choose Your Diet Carefully

In today's big bad world of fast food, obesity is the order of the day. It has become more and more essential to be careful about not only what we eat, but also how we cook the food we eat. Low fat recipes have become the norm for the health conscious, and its a good fad.

A great source of aft in our foods is the cooking oil. But there are some types of cooking oil which are actually beneficial to your health - Canola oil is one of them. Canola oil is just one of many sources of fat that’s actually good for your body and well-being – in moderation of course. Omega-3 fat (a type of fat found in canola oil and many other foods) is a form of polyunsaturated fat that helps to prevent heart disease, control cholesterol levels, enhance mental health, and reduce the inflammation of arthritis, amongst other things.

Seems like this is one fat you should do your best not to avoid.

Although it may sound like the name of a Starwars battleship, “The Omega-3” is actually a fat (or fatty acid) that is needed by the body and must be consumed as part of any healthy diet; even as little as 2g a day can make a difference.

While most foods are made up of many types of fat, certain foods are more omega-3 rich than others. Consider the following for good sources of omega-3:

Plant foods and oils

Very high in omega-3 (55%)

Flax seed (Linseed) oil

High in omega-3 (8-15%)

Canola oil, canola margarine, soybean oil, mustard seed oil

Fair in omega-3 (5%)

Wheat germ oil, walnut oil, soybeans (whole), lecithin (soybean)

Fish
High in omega-3 (3% or 3g in 100g fish)

Salmon (pink or red), tuna, sardines, herring mackerel

Moderate source of omega-3 (1.5% or 1.5g in 100 g fish)

Mulloway, trout, orange roughy, pilchards, mullet, yellowtail

Fair amount of omega-3 (0.5% or 0.5g in 100g fish)

There are many other low fat recipes that you can find out and use to your body's advantage!

Melbourne - A Tourist Heaven

Situated atop Port Phillip Bay, Melbourne is Australia's second largest city. Practitioners of this art report increased awareness, focus, and concentration, as well as a more positive outlook in life.

Meditation is most commonly associated with monks, mystics and other spiritual disciplines. However, you don’t have to be a monk or mystic to enjoy its benefits. And you don’t even have to be in a special place to practice it. You could even try it in your own living room!

Although there are many different approaches to meditation, the fundamental principles remain the same. The most important among these principles is that of removing obstructive, negative, and wandering thoughts and fantasies, and calming the mind with a deep sense of focus. This clears the mind of debris and prepares it for a higher quality of activity.

The negative thoughts you have – those of noisy neighbors, bossy officemates, that parking ticket you got, and unwanted spam– are said to contribute to the ‘polluting’ of the mind, and shutting them out is allows for the ‘cleansing’ of the mind so that it may focus on deeper, more meaningful thoughts.

Some practitioners even shut out all sensory input – no sights, no sounds, and nothing to touch – and try to detach themselves from the commotion around them. You may now focus on a deep, profound thought if this is your goal. It may seem deafening at first, since we are all too accustomed to constantly hearing and seeing things, but as you continue this exercise you will find yourself becoming more aware of everything around you.

If you find the meditating positions you see on television threatening – those with impossibly arched backs, and painful-looking contortions – you need not worry. The principle here is to be in a comfortable position conducive to concentration. This may be while sitting cross-legged, standing, lying down, and even walking.

If the position allows you to relax and focus, then that would be a good starting point. While sitting or standing, the back should be straight, but not tense or tight. In other positions, the only no-no is slouching and falling asleep.

Loose, comfortable clothes help a lot in the process since tight fitting clothes have a tendency to choke you up and make you feel tense.

The place you perform meditation should have a soothing atmosphere. It may be in your living room, or bedroom, or any place that you feel comfortable in. You might want an exercise mat if you plan to take on the more challenging positions (if you feel more focused doing so, and if the contortionist in you is screaming for release). You may want to have the place arranged so that it is soothing to your senses.

Silence helps most people relax and meditate, so you may want a quiet, isolated area far from the ringing of the phone or the humming of the washing machine. Pleasing scents also help in that regard, so stocking up on aromatic candles isn’t such a bad idea either.

The monks you see on television making those monotonous sounds are actually performing their mantra. This, in simple terms, is a short creed, a simple sound which, for these practitioners, holds a mystic value.

You do not need to perform such; however, it would pay to note that focusing on repeated actions such as breathing, and humming help the practitioner enter a higher state of consciousness.

The principle here is focus. You could also try focusing on a certain object or thought, or even, while keeping your eyes open, focus on a single sight.

One sample routine would be to – while in a meditative state – silently name every part of you body and focusing your consciousness on that part. While doing this you should be aware of any tension on any part of your body. Mentally visualize releasing this tension. It works wonders.

In all, meditation is a relatively risk-free practice and its benefits are well worth the effort (or non-effort – remember we’re relaxing).

Studies have shown that meditation does bring about beneficial physiologic effects to the body. And there has been a growing consensus in the medical community to further study the effects of such. So in the near future, who knows, that mystical, esoteric thing we call meditation might become a science itself!

Squidoo Lenses - The Web 2.0 World

Squidoo is a new Internet venue that is gaining in popularity. During each live performance at Medieval Times, guests of our castle enjoy an authentic medieval feast while brave knights on horseback do battle to the death.

Medieval Times is more than the nation's #1 and longest running dinner attraction — it's a living link to the past where the glory, chivalry and valor of old burst to life in authentic pageantry and thrilling tournament action.
