5 years later, Star Jones returns to the view. It was clear that although Barbara Walters and Star Jones have cleared the air in personal conversation, there was still some unresolved issues concerning, Jones’ exiting the view. When Star announced not returning to The View in June of 2006, the cast wasn’t aware that she would announce it on the air. Walters clarified that Jones’ contract wasn’t renewed and they were willing to protect her and allow her to decide on a proper exit.  However, Jones announced it without the cast & staff knowing she was going to do so.

Heart To Heart

Star also spoke about her heart & health issues. Barbara Walters & Star Jones received heart surgery within months of each other. She expressed the importance of removing salt from our diet & exercise. Honestly, I would have loved to hear her speak more, but the cast felt the need to speak over their guest. She also said  she willing called the American Heart Association to offer her volunteer services.

The View recapped some of Jones’ video clips and seeing the progress she has made with losing weight, 307 lbs the day of her Gastric surgery, you can only be proud of her taking control of her health.

In closing Star congratulated the cast members on their accomplishments and handed them all a gift in a red velour bag which was holding a black bracelet detailed with a heart.

When asked about Whitney, Mariah Carey said that it was still hard for her to discuss it.  She went on to say that it was great working with Whitney.

Now, I’m sure we all peeped those peep toe Louboutins she was wearing.  Gorge!!!!!

It’s written all over her face that being a mom is a joy when she says, “we love those babies,” a statement she made a couple times throughout her interview. Speaking of the love moms have for their children.

There’s no doubt that the past year has been challenging with the health issues she faced during her pregnancy and Nick’s mild kidney failure.  Mariah said we need to focus on our health and she’s doing that by working out, spokeswoman for Jenny Craig and The American Heart Association.

Let’s get back to the power of influence. Let’s take the Shawn Carter Scholarship Fund for instance. With the lack of giving we can also assume that there’s a lack of receiving. They say…The Carter foundation received 3 donations resulting in over $200,000. Let’s also say for lack of better words, Jay begins to scratch some backs. We can also assume that he’ll get his back scratched in return, enabling an increase in the funds that will benefit the Shawn Carter Scholarship recipients.

Although it seems as though they don’t give from their personal finances, Jay does perform at charity events and gives away the proceeds. Would that make him generous or are celebs expected to give from their personal stash? We’re not sure if Jay & Beyonce work with a PR firm or are advised on how to help build the Carter Foundation and/or give back a portion of their empire. However, what we do know, they’re not being considered a generous couple.

It’s reported that Whitney Houston was found dead and no cause has be given.  We will like to offer our condolences to her family in their loss.  Whitney you will be missed.

The first state to visit was Des Moines, Iowa and in attendance to help celebrate were Olympians Michelle Kwan, Shawn Johnson and WNBA Indiana Fever’s Tamika Catchings.
