Ali Adler, the minx, posted a photo of her computer with a page from the Chuck 3.02 script on the monitor. Thanks to our high-tech spy gadgets (e.g. Photoshop), we’ve been able to decipher most of the page. Don’t read if you don’t want to know!

SpoilerTV - Comic-Con Coverage

Hey All.
It is that time of year again!! San Diego Comic Con 09 (SDCC09) is little over a month away!!

If you still do not know what SDCC is, then let me give you a quick update. SDCC is largest comic book convention, but it is more of a TV/Movie/SciFi Fans dream world. Networks and studios have booths and panels to promote their old and new shows and movies.

So of course LOST will be represented and this year is promised to be HUGE. This is the last year for LOST at Comic Con (yes that was hard to type), but Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse promise something "special" for the fans.

In previous years they have provided us with sneak peeks and special Dharma Initiative videos and last year they gave a special prize to each person that asked a question. Matthew Fox was with Darlton last year and there was the Dharma Initiative booth that launched the FAILED ORG ARG, but because of that booth myself and several other Losties were lucky enough to meet and chat with them up close and personal!!

This year my guess is they will be doing something similar with out the Dharma Booth. The panel is indeed scheduled for Saturday, but this year it will be at 11AM and it will be in the huge Hall H again that seats 6,500 (I hear they are expanding it). There will most likely be at least 1 panel at 10AM before LOST, but you will have to sit through that to get a good seat for the LOST Panel.

Last year it was also the second panel and several of you out there braved the early morning hours to hang out and have fun while waiting in line. If you are planning to visit SDCC again this year, I will be there again live blogging and tweeting not only the LOST events but anything and everything else!!

I would love to hang with you all again!! I would say one of the best parts of the weekend is actually getting to meet everyone so I am really looking forward to it all. Tickets are unfortunately sold out, but if you are one of the lucky few that have tickets, then do not forget it is from July 23rd to 26th, with a preview night on Wed the 22nd.

As I mentioned, I will be blogging live for both The ODI and DarkUFO during the LOST events and then for SpoilerTV for other shows and movies. Of course I can not do this all by myself, so if you want to help out with the taking pictures, video tapping, blogging or tweeting or just want to hang out please let us know!!

Chuck - Season 3 Casting News

What a timely bit of news to hit this week. We just watched “Chuck vs. the Wookie” on Chuck Me Monday, and now Chuck writer/producer Ali Adler announces that, “Carina the super sexy superagent will be making an appearance in Season 3!”

The Chuck writers have been at work on season 3 for a couple of weeks now, but this is the first confirmed piece of news to escape into the Interwebz. So what do you think? Are you looking forward to the return of Carina (Mini Anden) as Sarah’s sometime partner (and keeper of a certain secret involving Casey and Prague)?

Ausiello: Don't worry about Ethan. He fares very well in the transition.

Question: As the fall schedules are being announced, would it be possible for you to make a matrix of the shows and when they are on each night? --Danielle
Ausiello: Little busy right now with Ask Ausiello, if you hadn't noticed.

Question: Can you give us any info on whether Jane Lynch will return to Party Down for the second season? Or will she be too busy with Glee? --Veronika
Ausiello: Let's ask Party boy Rob Thomas: "It looks unlikely that we'll be able to use Jane as a series regular next year," he tells me. "We are hopeful that she can guest star for us at least once, but we're not even able to lock that down at this point."

Question: You interviewed Zach Levi! Spill the details, buddy! What can we expect from season 3 of Chuck? --Mena
Ausiello: Our little Ausiello TV sit-down is coming to an embedded video player near you very soon. Here's another scoop to tide you over: Based on our convo, I am 99 percent certain The Orange Orange will morph into a Subway next season.

Question: What's up with Ugly Betty next season? Maybe you can get some scoop from Becki Newton when you hang with her at Michael Urie's play. --Kelcy
Ausiello: Unfortunately, Becki didn't put out. [Beat] Any scoop. [Hold for laughs] Actually, that's not true: She confirmed that both she and Michael have received their formal pickup letters from ABC, which means Amanda and Marc will be back next season. Oh, and here's something else: You'll never guess who was sitting next to us at the theater -- Ed Norton! At least we thought it was Ed Norton. Turns out it was just some dude who looked like Ed Norton. Bottom line: Go see The Temperamentals -- you never know what celeb look-alike you'll see in the audience! (It's also a really good play!)

Question: Got anything on the upcoming season of Ugly Betty? --Mei
Ausiello: This just in: Producers are adding a twentysomething African-American actress in a major recurring role, which makes me to wonder if Wilhelmina's daughter is about to get an extreme makeover.

Question: There have been rumors that Danneel Harris is returning as Rachel on One Tree Hill in the season 7. Is this true? --Cameron
Ausiello: The rumors are true. Rachel will be back next season for an arc.

Ausiello: Not. As I teased last week, Green's reps got cold feet and pulled out of the deal. Lipstick Jungle hottie Robert Buckley has just signed on to replace him.

Question: I'm officially following you on Twitter! Fun, right? So, how's about a little Bones scoop? I heard that Booth does remember who Bones is, but he thinks that his dream was real, so he's just confused. Any truth to that? --Esther
Ausiello: Sounds like a question for exec producer Hart Hanson. "Booth's problem isn't remembering who Brennan is," he tells me, "it's remembering which Brennan she is." Sneaky!

Question: Are we ever going to find out who Red John is on The Mentalist? --Thaddeus
Ausiello: Yes, but first PJ is going to need some help. Enter California Bureau of Investigations Agent Sam Glenn. The new recurring character, currently being cast, heads up the division handling the Red John investigation and is apparently the one person who doesn't get seduced by Simon Baker's pretty face. He's also Lisbon's (Robin Tunney) onetime mentor and ex, so cue the flying sparks!

Question: Loved the Burn Notice premiere. What's ahead? --Kristin
Ausiello: The show is currently in production on its midseason finale, and I'm told it's chock-full of Fiona-Michael drama -- most of which is triggered by the appearance of that evil Irishman (Paul Blackthorne) from Fi's past. And now for something timelier: In tomorrow night's episode, Fiona plants a wet one on birthday boy Michael. (Her real gift cuts deeper.)

Question: Is there still time to get producers of Ghost Whisperer to change their minds about this five-year flash forward? I think it's a mistake. -- Claire
Ausiello: Don't think so. Any and all hope of getting them to un-ring the time jump bell was pretty much lost on Tuesday when they put out a casting call for Melinda and Jim's now-5-year-old son Aiden.

Question: Where's all this Glee scoop you're supposed to have? --Tessa
Ausiello: Lose the 'tude, Tessa. Here's your Glee prattle: Whitney Houston apparently doesn't share EW staffer Tim Stack's love for singing high schoolers. Last week, Ryan Murphy, creator of Fox's musicomedy, told us he's been engaged in "ongoing talks" with the Grammy-winning superstar to make a guest appearance this fall. But a rep for Houston, whose first studio album in seven years drops Sept. 1, insists "it's not happening." Responds Tim Stack in a statement: "It's not right, but it's ... nope, it's not okay either."

Question: I just saw via your Twitter feed that Zachary Levi randomly stopped by your office last week. Lucky you! When will you be posting the interview? --Crosby
Ausiello: Most likely next week! To tide you over, the Zachster let slip a very spoilery tease about next season's Chuck. It involves the new kung fu-esque intersect in his brain. Apparently, there are some kinks to be worked out.

Question: One of my favorite summer shows, Leverage, is returning next month. Got any scoops on my fave thief-peeps? --Dana
Ausiello: Producers want a "star name actor" to play Nathan's evil doppelganger, Bierko. The mastermind behind his own crew of thieves, the big baddie has assembled a "whizbang mob," which is a fancy way of describing a group of people who move into town, execute a big job, and then move on. Although I'm guessing since the role is recurring that last part doesn't work out so well.

Question: Any scoop on TNT's Saving Grace? It is my favorite summer show! --Cristin
Ausiello: Let's just say that many unanswered questions from last season's finale will definitely be resolved in a timely fashion. For starters, within the first 10 minutes of the June 16 season premiere you'll find out who exactly that girl on the corner is and how she relates to Grace's life. How exactly she changes it is still TBD. Also in the upcoming season: Earl has a rival, someone gets engaged, and Grace may end up in prison!

Question: How about a Dexter scoop, sir? --Mark
Ausiello: We're going to be meeting more of Dexter's neighbors next season. Serial guest star Rick Peters (Veronica Mars, Swingtown, Heroes, Bones, etc.) has been cast as Dexter's next-door nabe, Elliott. We'll also be come face-to-face with Elliott's wife as well as and a third neighbor by the name Andy. Hmm ... I see an extremely awkward block party in Dex's future.

Question: Wait, I thought that it was confirmed that Kirk Acevedo wasn't fired from Fringe? But here you are saying that a new female agent will replace him. What happened? --Michele
Ausiello: All I know is what my sources have told me: Acevedo is leaving for creative reasons and a new female agent will replace him.

Question: What's this I hear about Cappie turning down Casey on Monday's Greek finale? Finally she comes around, and now this? Why's Cappie holding out? --Caitlin
Ausiello: Casey is quickly becoming Greek's Joey Potter, what with all the oscillating between men. So who does she finally pick? Assuming the rumor you heard is true, you could say that maybe Cappie doesn’t want to be a Pacey. Maybe he wants Joey to be with her Dawson. Love is complicated, dammit! Chuck - What to expect from the new season

The creators of NBC's Chuck aren't about to let the audience forget about the show during its long hiatus until midseason—they're planning some kind of Web presence, said Chuck executive producer and co-creator Chris Fedak.

"We're talking to NBC now about what is going to be the super-clever idea to kind of bridge that time. It is going to be something on the Internet to keep fan awareness alive and remind people about the show," Fedak told SCI FI Wire in an exclusive phone interview.

Fedak added that Chuck, which was picked up for midseason by NBC, may appear sooner than the expected March 2010.

Chuck is set to air in its same timeslot, on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT. That's good news for fans who lobbied NBC and key sponsor Subway for the show's renewal. But with Chuck's third season planned to premiere in March 2010, that's a very long wait. "We're excited to launch after the Winter Olympics and to launch also with NBC's other new show [Day One]. But schedules aren't written in stone for a reason. So you never know. Maybe you'll see us sooner than that," Fedak said.

One thing the producers will be faced with in the new season is a smaller budget. "Across the board in television this year there's been a contraction in regard that every show has had to find ways to lower their budgets," he said. "And then [creator] Josh [Schwartz] and I, we have a really an excellent production department here at Chuck, and we've made changes to the show. But essentially we're committed to delivering a show like the show last year, and the changes we're making will not impact the quality of the show. We've also, after two seasons of making the show, we've gotten better at it, just from a production perspective, and we find the efficiencies and just learning how we tell our stories."

Another factor will be the presence of Subway in the show in some way, thanks to NBC's deal with the sandwich chain. How will that presence work? "We're still in the early stages of figuring that out," Fedak said.

The show will resume production this summer. "We're actually just getting back up and running with our writers," Fedak said. "So I am knee-deep in the writers' room, working on story, kind of cutting into how we're going to tell this epic season of Chuck. ... We have some really fun, super-exciting stories up on the board, and we can't wait to tell them."

Asked about specifics, Fedak isn't too forthcoming. "You're getting nothing out of me," he said, adding: "Do you know what Schwartz would do to me if I give you anything? Mum is the word at the moment."

Maybe just a tiny, little detail? What about the teaser from a recent interview with Schwartz that there might be a romantic interest who would come between Sarah and Chuck? "Crickets. That's what you get from me. You're getting crickets on this one," Fedak said.

The one thing that isn't a secret is that the producers plan for the entire cast to return, he said. As for adding new characters, "We will be, but you're not going to get that out of me, I don't think," he said.

Expect a more physical Chuck (Zachary Levi), considering that he acquired new kung fu abilities after downloading the new Intersect. "Absolutely. Get ready for excitement," Fedak said. "And we also look forward to deepening the mythology of the show, learning more about our characters and, most importantly, having fun."

As for the possible romance between Chuck and Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski)? "In the interest of vagueness, I will say that this new upcoming season of Chuck will not be lacking in romance," Fedak said.

The cagey Chuck creator did have more to say when it came to discussing the season-two finale, "Chuck vs. the Ring," however. "We were very proud," he said. "We were very proud of our entire season, but we were really excited to tell the story and that we knew where we were going, and we knew we had this big, epic finale. All the writers and producers, everyone involved in the show, we knew we weren't going to leave anything on the table for the fans of the show. We knew that essentially there would be a point in time during the final episode where everything but the kitchen sink, and maybe even the kitchen sink itself, would fly through a frame ... and you would see the Chuck show at its best." Fedak gives plenty of credit for the episode to director Robert Duncan McNeill (Lt. Tom Paris of Star Trek: Voyager fame).

For Fedak, there was one specific moment that resonated with him, and it came during a table reading. "I sat down at the table with the cast of that episode, and I just shook my head," he said. "I felt like, for that episode, we hired most of Hollywood. I had Bruce Boxleitner, Morgan Fairchild, Scott Bakula, Chevy Chase and our cast. I mean, our fantastic, wonderful cast, and Matt Bomer as well, and I immediately demanded that we have a photograph taken, because it's something that, actually, ... [I knew] this would be one of my favorite moments, this cast read-through. And they killed. They were wonderful. They were wonderful just reading the script, and they were just as wonderful on screen. Allison Adler and I wrote that script, and it was a really wonderful kind of moment to see the Actors' Studio version of our story before we filmed it."

Fedak added: "I'd just like to say, and this is more like a general thing, that we're just so thankful to our fans for all the support that they've shown. It has been ... it was incredibly important to the show, to the show's return, their energy and excitement. And the other thing, too, is that critics and journalists have been just so helpful and supportive for the show. It just seems like we needed every arrow in our quiver, and you guys were there for us." Chuck will return on NBC after the Olympics in March.

Chuck deserves a whole season, not just 13 episodes. Any chance of more? — Darryl
MATT: Actually, yes. NBC entertainment president Ben Silverman says that while the current plan is to deliver 13 midseason episodes, depending on the ratings, "we may extend it out and continue it through the summer," where he thinks it could pair nicely with Friday Night Lights. "We're looking to ... keep [Chuck] incredibly viral and buzz-worthy until it returns, and then hopefully have it on our air for many years to come." That'd be Awesome. And even more so? I chatted up Scott Bakula at TNT's upfronts luncheon, and he's game for more Chuck, if need be.

Any scoop on Gossip Girl's Season 3? — F.R.
MICKEY: Speaking with TVGuide.com at the CW upfronts, Leighton Meester seemed to confirm that Georgina's plan to weasel her way into Blair's life will be successful, as Blair will be living — gasp! — in an NYU dorm, with the little people! Including possibly both G. and V.! (Don't worry, Dorota fans; she'll still be on hand to tend to her "Miss Blair.")

When will we find out who's dead in the car on True Blood? — Neil
MICKEY: Since the season premiere (airing Sunday, June 14, 9 pm/ET) picks up right where we left off, the victim's identity is revealed in short order. As you might have already guessed, Season 2's first casualty is related to Tara, but not in a way that you will guess. At first blush, the significance of said death will not be apparent, but just wait! Also, a minor character's drinking problem will resurface — hilariously.

Any scoop on Leverage's second season? How will things be between Nate and Sophie when the show returns? — Maya
TIM: Timothy Hutton tells us that Nate will go into ultra-revenge mode this season, and against people who very much deserve his wrath: "Sometimes the Leverage team says, 'You know, we don't really need to go that far, Nate. It's OK.' And he says, 'No, we're going to bury this guy,'" Hutton says. Of course, the team isn't even together at the start of the season — until one member lures the others to the same city. Would that be Sophie? Hutton says that's not a bad guess.

As a Ghost Whisperer fan, I want to know: When Melinda looks at Jim, does she sees Jim or Sam? And what about Delia, Ned and Eli, who do they see? — Yasser
MATT: This is a sticky wicket and yet a relevant query in light of the season finale, so I beseeched exec producer P.K. Simonds to explain it all. "The face that everyone sees, including Melinda, when they look at 'Jim' is Sam's," he tells the Buzz. "But over time, people who know that Jim's soul is in Sam's body — including Jim himself — will see him more and more like Jim. Even in mirrors, we'll soon stop seeing Sam's face looking back." And that's bad news for that Jericho chap (Kenneth Mitchell) who was playing ol' Sam.

Could you please let me in on the status of Eureka? Is the show dead ever going to return? — Randy
MATT: Eureka returns Friday, July 10, at 8 pm/ET, for 10 episodes. What's more, Season 3.5's guest stars will include Ever Carradine (returning as Jack's sister, Lexie) and The 4400's own Billy Campbell, playing a specialist brought in to assist on a Global Dynamics project.

What did you think of Eastwick? — Fernando
MICKEY: I'm a huge fan of both John Updike's novel and the film starring Cher, Jack Nicholson, Michelle Pfeiffer and Susan Sarandon, but after seeing a clip of the show (which features Rebecca Romijn) at the Alphabet's upfront, my first thought was: Is this really necessary?

I'm curious to hear your take on the whole Scrubs renewal. The "series finale" was so wonderfully sweet and sappy, how can they come back from something so final? --Sydney
Ausiello: I would have preferred it end right there, but it's hard to argue with Bill Lawrence's justification for continuing. "There are 107 people that work on that show," he reminded me earlier this week. "I've worked with them for eight years now. If there's a chance for everybody to work another year, my attitude, business-wise, is 'legacy-schmegacy.' I couldn't give a f--k, to tell you the truth. I thought the first eight years of Scrubs was great. I'm super proud of it. There's absolutely nothing that could possibly happen that could change that... On the creative side, some people are like, 'It should end on a high note creatively. It shouldn't be something that taints our memory.' And I get that. [But the other] 50 percent of the people are like, 'Oh my god, I'm so glad to have a show back that I care about.' The way to bridge that gap is I've got to consider Scrubs over. The way that I'm viewing it is the way Frasier was to Cheers: It'll be essentially a new show with some characters that people liked."

Question: What will the ninth season of Scrubs look like? Will Sarah Chalke be taking over JD's duties? --Tony
Ausiello: Probably not, considering Chalke isn't looking to return full time, per Bill Lawrence. "I would've had Sarah in a heartbeat," he says. "I think she's got enough going on in her career [right now]. I'd say it's 50-50 she's in some episodes. I know she'll at least be in one or two." My guess? In light of the fact that ABC passed on Donald Faison's comedy pilot, The Law, Lawrence will go with the "Turk teaching at med school" premise he's been kicking around. Whatever idea he ultimately goes with, "The one promise I would make to people is that if this does suck, it won't suck in a lame fizzle-out kind of way," he says. "It will suck in a huge way. It will really, really suck." If I've said it once, I've said it a million times: Few things in life are as entertaining as interviewing Bill Lawrence.

Question: That 24 finale was awesome! Do you have any scoop about Carlos Bernard's role in season 8? --Rob
Ausiello: As of now, it's non-existent. But did you see who they cast as Cherry Jones' new Chief of Staff?!

Question: During your interview with Chuck boss Josh Schwartz, did he happen to mention if Chuck's new abilities will be all over the spectrum? --Dana
Ausiello: No, but speaking of that Q&A, here's the (extra spoilery) portion of the interview I held over for Ask Ausiello:

Ausiello: It means his character won't be back.

Question: The Glee pilot was more than priceless. I can't remember the last time a show captivated from the get go. Oh yeah, Pushing Daisies. But I digress .... I'll take anything you can give me on the upcoming season and/or on Matthew Morrison (a.k.a. Fox's newest hottie-in-the-making)! --Kathleen
Ausiello: Morrison's Will is not going to cheat on his psycho wife -- even though it's obvious that he and Emma are made for one another.

Question: Since Amy Acker's show Happy Town has been picked up, what does that mean for Dr. Saunders on Dollhouse? Is she headed for the attic? --Mike W.
Ausiello: Not if puppetmaster Joss Whedon has anything to say about it. He tells me he'll be "sending [Happy producers] chocolate and flowers," he laughs. "We're desperate to have her." As such, he is disinclined to put another doctor in the d'house. Only if "we find out that we're not going to use her for the bulk of the season" would he do that, he says. "[But] everyone is not going to be in every episode, so it's perfectly possible that there will just be stories that don't involve Dr. Saunders."

Chuck - Josh Schwartz Interview

I don't know about you, but NBC's official renewal of Chuck has been the highlight of upfront week for me. (ABC's cancellation of According to Jim finishes a very close second.) But it's time to bring the victory celebrations to a close and get down to business -- the business of asking questions. Will a tighter budget lead to a less awesome (and populated) show? Does the massive Subway deal mean an end to Sarah's yogurt shop? Will the midseason launch kill the show's momentum? Will Chuck and Sarah start dating for real? Will exec producer Josh Schwartz answer all of these and then some in the following exclusive Q&A? I can tackle that last one: Yes!

NBC said the show's budget will remain unchanged from last season. I'm hearing different. What's the deal?
JOSH SCHWARTZ: I can tell you that [Warner Bros.] asked us to make budget cuts to meet a decrease in the NBC license fee. That's how it was presented to me. That's as far as I know. My job is to then be able to produce the show at the number the studio is able to deficit it for.

How will the cuts affect what we see?
SCHWARTZ: Hopefully, you won't be able to tell. I don't think the look of the show is going to change. We might have certain episodes where Chuck's mission is such that we don't get the opportunity to go to the Buy More [as much]. We love our cast and, obviously, we want to use them as much as possible in as many episodes as possible.

I heard Julia Ling [Anna] might not return. True?
SCHWARTZ: No. We have plans for Anna to return.

Has she been taken off contract?
SCHWARTZ: We actually haven't finalized all of our actor deals yet. It's all being sorted out. But, like I said, we're going to do whatever we can to try to keep the ensemble together.

Will the show's central trio be in every episodes?
SCHWARTZ: Yes. Chuck, Sarah, and Casey are in all episodes.

Will Sarah be working at a Subway next season?
SCHWARTZ: [Laughs] You know, I don't know the full details of the Subway integration yet. I know it will be significant. Chuck is a show that happens to be well positioned for effortless product integration, especially because Chuck works at an electronics shop in a strip mall. If Sarah or someone worked at a Subway it would hopefully be no more intrusive or unrealistic than Liz Lemon working at NBC.

Are you concerned at all about the show being off the air for 10 months?
SCHWARTZ: It was really a tough choice that the network faced: Put us on Friday or [hold us until] midseason. I really believe Chuck is the little show that could. Our fans are clearly passionate, clearly loyal, and hopefully all we'll do is get them more and more [excited] for our return. And we'll come up with fun ways of stoking the fans throughout the fall. We also have something very, very fun planned for Comic-Con this year.

How about a season 3 spoiler in honor of the show's renewal?
SCHWARTZ: The biggest thing, obviously, will be dealing with the ramifications of how we ended the season. What does it mean for Chuck [and] how will it manifest itself? And I think for anyone who is concerned that he's no longer going to be the Everyman, or an accidental hero, fear not.

Chuck - Back to Monday's after the Olympics

Chuck will move back to Monday's at 8:00pm after the Olympics.

NBC is keeping "Chuck" on Monday nights, but fans will have to wait to see the show.

The series won't return until after the Olympics, the network is expected to announce later this morning. The New York Times just reported the midseason move for "Chuck," along with a new sponsorship deal with Subway that will have a main character working for the sandwich giant.

"Chuck" creator Josh Schwartz told TV MoJoe he's more than cool with NBC's scheduling.

"We are happy to be back," he e-mailed after the Times broke the 'Chuck' scheduling. "Ready to serve - whenever. Wherever. We have the best audience in the world and we will do everything we can to make this worth the wait."

Never underestimate the power of a $5 footlong.

NBC has finalized a deal to bring Chuck back for a third season, multiple sources confirm.

That's the good news. Here's the bad news: The 13-episode pickup came after Warner Bros. agreed to make significant budget concessions, including scaling back the number of episodes several members of the show's stellar supporting cast will appear in and, per one insider, possibly eliminating one actor altogether (R.I.P. Anna Wu?). The show is also expected to cut two of its staff writers.

"Chuck" will live to fight another day, albeit on a tighter budget.

NBC and Warner Bros. TV struck a 13-episode third-season renewal deal on Sunday for the action-comedy that has a modest but passionate fanbase.

Like virtually every other primetime skein on the Big Four nets, "Chuck" will return next season with a smaller production budget. The renewal haggling between NBC and Warner Bros. TV over the past few weeks has centered entirely on cost-cutting issues, insiders said.

"Chuck," which stars Zachary Levi as a regular-Joe computer geek who winds up with CIA secrets implanted in his head, averaged 2.8 rating/7 share in the adults 18-49 demographic and 7.3 million viewers during its sophomore season in the Monday 8 p.m. timeslot.

Series got off to a solid start in its freshman year but was interrupted by the writers strike. Fans mounted elaborate "Save Chuck" campaigns during the past two months, including a tie-in with the Subway sandwich chain, that merited a shoutout on "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart."

Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak co-created "Chuck" and exec produce along with McG and Scott Rosenbaum.

Ausiello: Melinda gives birth in the opening minutes, but there's a twist. (Hint: The new arrival will not be mentioned in my Season Finale Scorecard for a reason.)

Ausiello: Only that the opening sequence is apparently a jaw-dropper -- and so top-secret members of the show's own writing staff haven't seen it.

Ausiello: Aside from it getting renewed for a second season? Let's see... "Look for a very special gravestone and [take note of] whose name is on it," teases co-exec producer Roberto Orci of the May 12 finale. "My God [I just gave you] a big puzzle piece." No kidding. When we pressed Anna Torv about said gravestone she pleaded the fifth. “I can't say anything about the grave. But that's a big plot [twist]. The grave is the key." Torv was more forthcoming about the drama coming up for Olivia and Walter. "A whole lot of information starts to come to light about the trials and Olivia's part in the larger puzzle," she reveals. "Olivia decides to push Walter to his breaking point in order to get answers. She wants to know what happened to her and what is going on. She pushes a couple of buttons and Walter gets a little out of sorts and reverts to some of his old ways. I'm glad because it would be no fun if Walter fully recovered from his mental illness. People love him because he is eccentric and brilliant."

Question: Thanks for the Emily Deschanel Q&A. Now tell us what she said about the triangle with Booth's bro! --Deb
Ausiello: The events of the season finale will further complicate the triangle, she told me. "Booth's suspicion of his brother and his inability to fully trust his brother [is heightened]. It will give us some different dynamics to play next season."

Question: Emily said the sex between Booth and Brennan isn't going to be a dream. What about a hallucination? --Maggie
Ausiello: She also confirmed that it is not a hallucination. I suspect it'll be something in between the two. A dreamination, if you will.

Question: Can you ask Emily Deschanel if, before joining Bones, she had read the books by Kathy Reichs? --Kim
Ausiello: Sorry, got your question too late. Can I interest you in this answer she gave me about the show traveling overseas again next season? "We're not traveling at the beginning of the season, but we may go away at the end of the season or the beginning of the next. The intention is to travel again. But the way the next season is going to begin it wouldn't make sense." Hmm... the way next season is going to begin? There's a clue in there somewhere.

Question: Have you heard anything about Friday Night Lights' plans for the next year, and which cast members are coming back? Hoping I haven't seen the last of Tim Riggins. --Diana
Ausiello: You haven't seen the last of Tim. I'm told Taylor Kitsch is definitely returning for season 4.

Question: Is Stella really the mother on HIMYM? Not that I don't love Sarah Chalke, but I was hoping the show was heading somewhere else with the mystery. --Michael
Ausiello: Exec producer Carter Bays isn't saying either way, but A Mother insider tells me that she is not the mom. Still, it looks like Chalke will be sticking around next season -- in some capacity. "We haven't talked to her or her people about it yet, but there's something very exciting about next season [involving Stella] that will sort of be alluded to in next week's episode," teases Bays. "We're excited to see how it'll play out next season." Speaking of Monday's ep, Bays says it ranks among the show's best. "It's a real good, classic How I Met Your Mother," he declares. "There are a few episodes of this show that, when we were shooting it, felt like an old movie. You just want to put it in black and white. Next week's episode felt like one of those."

Question: Tell me something about the 24 finale. I'm dying to hear anything! --Ferlay
Ausiello: Can't help you with the finale. Can help you with Monday's penultimate ep, which finds Jack Bauer going all Jack Bauer on Tony. It's a brutal scene, so if extreme violence isn't your thing, run for cover right around the halfway point. Just make sure you come back in time to catch Chloe and Janis' hilarious sneer-off.

Ausiello: The season finale -- airing May 15 -- centers around the End of the World Party at KT where the gang is faced with this hypothetical quandary: "If the world were to end tomorrow, what would I want to do?" That paves the way for "some major developments in the Cappie-Casey-Max department," previews series creator Sean Smith, "as well the return of one of our favorite teachers and the bittersweet departure of one of our favorite snarky sorority sisters."

Ausiello: EW's Whitney Pastorek asked the show's shirtless wonder, Ryan Kwanten, to sum up season 2 in just five words and, dang-it, the over-achiever did it in four! "Orgy, cult, locked up." I'm there, can't wait, and June 14 can't come soon enough!

Ausiello: You think fourteen days is long? Fans of 'Til Death have been waiting fourteen years for me to give them a spoiler on their favorite show. (Finally got one: Next season will be as unfunny as this one!) What can I tell you about NCIS' May 19 finale that hasn't already been said? Here's what: Tony will have a run-in with Ziva's father and it will be far from pleasant. And once and for all, no, Michael Weatherly is not leaving the show.
