This year, Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden was the celebrity guest chosen to open the Harrods January sale at 10am on Saturday 26th December.

Harrods is one of the UK’s most exclusive retailers and there will be discounts of around 60 percent.

This Christmas, Harrods is celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Wizard of Oz so the famous lights are still the emerald green!

Harrods first opened in 1849 as a grocer in East London. It fast established a reputation for excellence and is now a million dollar group that influences the style and shopping of the entire world. Harrods is one of the world’s most famous stores. It’s a favourite of celebrities, tourists and Knightsbridge locals alike.

The Harrods January sale runs through until Saturday 23rd January 2010.

This is the first from Dior’s “cruise collection”. With its lemony, citrussy and cologney smell it would suit both women and men. Ingredients include Calabrian bergamot, Italian citron, Sicilian petitgrain, bitter almond and orange blossom, which makes it really flat and without imagination. Too simple for me, but it will have it’s customers. Eau de toilette only.

I like the advertising visual that comes with it. A sophisticated, rich women sitting on a sun-baked staircase – it makes me dream of an exotic holiday in Portofino.

If you’re really into all things lemony and citrussy, try Eau D’Hadrien by Annick Goutal which has lemon, citron tree and grapefruit. Goutal had the sense to release this same fragrance twice; there’s a man’s and woman’s version that are exactly the same!

Finally the long awaited eponymous fragrance from Chloe and it did not disappoint. It’s floral, fruity, girlie and happy. In fact, I could see a little bottle of this in my handbag.

Some of my friends said that they would use it as an air freshener but they’re cheap!

It looks pretty and eye-catching but it’s fragile and hollow inside. It’s far too white. Maybe it could work on a very pale complexion as a highlighter but there are better products on the market for a cheaper price. Definitely not worth £35, it doesn’t even come with a brush!

So, add brilliance to your fingertips with colours from the runways of Paris. A state-of-the-art formula strengthens and moisturises your nails. It comes in a unique patented non-spill bottle with wiping action for easy application.

This smell lifts my spirits up. One of my favourites and highly recommended for lovers of freshness.

Chanel deserve congratulations for this exciting, nose-catching and feminine scent. Great for spring and summer as it’s floral refreshed with citron and water hyacinth and it has an original green colour!

The heart shaped bottle must have increased sales over the Valentine’s period but I think it’s tacky.

Light, floral and fruity but it doesn’t last long. It reminds me of a cheap Princess Marina De Bourbon fragrance. The girlie packaging is something that Barbie would like.

This set is attractively packaged with Emilio Pucci‘s trademark gorgeous swirls. Firstly, we have Météorites Pearls. Guerlain‘s famous pearls now in different shades which glow, brighten and freshen your appearance.

The Eye-Set has four eye-shadows, two Kohl-liner pencils and a lengthening and curving mascara. It is perfect to take on a summer trip as they are exactly the colours you need for your fresh summer look.

Finally there are the sparkling lip glosses and radiant blush. The blush has to be applied with fingers as it is a mousse and is a disappointment because glitter inevitably ends up sticking to your fingers. The glosses are pink, peach, azur blue and gold. I like the pink and peach with a bit of frost in them. I’m not so keen on the gold and blue!

But either the Eye-Set or the Météorites Pearls are a “must-have” for this summer.

£38 for 3.4 oz. Quite expensive but treat yourself! The lathering means that you don’t need a big amount so it should last a while.

£41 for 50ml; £57 for 100ml Eau de Toilette. I’m a fan of fresh fragrances but this is rubbish!

If you want to have something new and nice for summer then go for it.

£35 for 50ml which is a resonable price.

£42 for 50ml. £56 for 100ml.

It looks dark when rolled out of the stick but when put on the lips it looks amazing and natural. Natural colours like these work well especially in the summer. You get the benefit from the lipstick while no one will be sure if you’re wearing any.

Not really cheap but not expensive at £16.

They smell nice, taste nice and leave your lips feeling nice and cool.

Yes and No. The variety of minerals and vitamins push up the price but you can find cheaper products on the market. I understand that many people would choose the more established companies but I have tried this product and would recommend it. For lovers of quality skincare who still haven’t found what they’re looking for it’s worth trying and may really suit you.

The top note is mandarin and gives a fresh and mysterious odour.
