Sherlock Holmes Trailer

‘Sherlock Holmes,’ echoes sorcerer Lord Blackwood in the dungeons. That my fellow readers would be the only key thing that would always make me laugh like the evil madman himself! No, he didn’t laugh in the movie. Its not Guy’s style.

Sherlock Holmes is called to solve a mystery that involve sorcery. While Dr. Watson prepares to leave his partnership for a married life, Holmes is drawn to his inability to be ‘normal’ and his obsession-crush on Irene Adler (Rachael McAdams) and her sudden re-appearance in London. All these as usual are connected, but in what way?

Guy’s style. Thats enough to make you dash for the ticket. Forget the Robert Downey Jr-Jude Law bro-mance…(oh no. I can hear my friend coming after me with a cleaver over her Downey Jr. obsession.) If its Guy, it is interesting. The color, the delivery, the British-Guy humor  – take a good seat in the cinema and enjoy the ride. It is a classy-grunt movie leading to your self-proven theory that Sherlock 2 is underway. Yes it is. 2011. Be patient.

To those who follows Conan Doyle’s writings like a cult, please ‘try’ and enjoy the movie. I love his books and have countless collection (my fav has always been the one with Irene Adler ) and I enjoyed this movie tremendously because this movie did not delve in Sherlocks unexplained methods but simply celebrates the odd man at his glorious weirdo as he is. In terms of actor selection, I’d say its good enough. Robert gave the annoying-good-guy-everyone-still-wants-to-see a good run. And yes, I like saying bro-mance like sneezing simply because I think the movie is evenly about it! Watson is leaving Holmes for good! Of course Holmes can’t accept it! He loves his loyal man! And yes he is still in denial about Irene. Poor Holmes only has his wit and cases to keep him company.

Watch this movie if…you love Guy Ritchie’s style and/or you’re obsessed with our bro-mance (which is very entertaining and still manly!) Robert knows how to shake em bro-mance to the next level of awe-manliness. I enjoyed this movie, simply because it took me away from my normal life. Thats a movie role. Go and enjoy this!

Legion 2010 Trailer

Written and directed by Scott Stewart.

The end is here. God lost faith in humankind again. So, he sends his darling angels to bring on the Apocalypse. Their given mission? To kill the unborn baby of a hopeless young mother. Well, where is the mother? In some ditzy, out-of-the-way diner. So ride my angels to this random place and kill the baby! How angelic this move is isn’t it? Archangel Michael didn’t think so. He lands on our world with Matrix style and cuts off his wings. Ouch insert. He gets his weapon on and obviously heads to the diner. From there, the battle begins…and thats it.

Paul Bettany as Archangel Michael goes as well as cheese with pretzels. But unfortunately, that was the only good thing about the movie. His bad a** expression makes you feel glad it wasn’t Lucas Black with wings. Oh! Don’t get my started on Lucas Black in this movie, you point a** sissy! I believe the co-casting choice were a no-choice scenario as you’ll see The Fast And The Furious actors back on the screen. Well, at least Paul helped.

The only scene I jaw dropped was the climbing granny and the ice-cream man. Other than that, it seems that they only had money for those two scenes, bits-and-bobs for a lot of extras, and stuntman pulleys for the angel fight.

How ‘Worth It’ is this movie? Once is enough for you. Just to compare the other Apocalypse movies and complain how wrong it is compared to the real facts (and by the way, leave reason out and just watch it okay? Its not worth your brain moving hard for it).

The Fourth Kind Trailer

In 1972, a scale of measurement was established for alien encounters. When a UFO is sighted, it is called an encounter of the first kind. When evidence is collected, it is known as an encounter of the second kind. When contact is made with extraterrestrials, it is the third kind. The next level, abduction, is the fourth kind.

Does that start you off in a curious-frenzy? No this isn’t an X-Files side plot. In fact, I would say this movie can and will explain a lot as well as it won’t. In a remote region in Alaska, psychologist Dr. Abigail Tyler takes her average day to day session after the unexplained murder of her husband in their very own bedroom. Her patients come in for a session with similar sleeping disorder pattern. So, she decides to explore this sudden coincidences by putting them under hypnosis and discovers the most disturbing evidence of alien abduction ever documented.

Documented, you ask? How the movie was made is simply a mind-f***. They start with Mila Jovovich explaining that what you’re about to see is based on actual documentation and what conclusions you draw after is entirely up to you. Mind-f*** starts. Olantunde begins with an interview with the real Dr. Abigail Tyler and from here, he follows her recollection with re-enactments by actors and real footages Dr. Abigail kept during her sessions as well as footages from police car cameras.

Draw your own conclusions from here. Whether you’re a science person, religious person, or just anal about how Hollywood is out to get you, THIS movie lets you *(yes LETS YOU) draw your own conclusion. They don’t tell you what you should believe.

I love mind-f*** movies! And I love movies that leaves you wondering. Wondering = good movie.
Why? Cause your brain actually functions! We’re all lazy! Movies makes us lazy because they let you sit in for hours with pop-corn and soft drink to fat yourself up! At the very least, a movie should let you feel less guilty for paying to get fat.

But movie wise…Personally, I HATE horror movies, but this didn’t shake me. It got my mind working…is BEST.

Well, let’s go back in time for a moment, when an alarm clock had two big bells at the top and they were certain to get you out of bed. What happened to those? Right, they disappeared because hand wound alarm clocks were, well, hand wound and offered quite a substantial margin of error, resulting in embarrassing situations…

Guess what, designer Sam Hecht has just upped the ante for the great guys over at IDEA International. He has taken the best of both worlds and put them into one fabulous product: A modern and precise and small alarm clock with a massive bell that will get you out of bed.
