If Your Weed Gets Stolen, Calling The Cops Is A Bad Idea

I would have thought that this would be obvious but apparently people don't seem to understand that if you have some weed and something happens to it, you probably can't call the cops about it. You just have to chalk that one up as a loss and move on.

That's not what this Oregon man did. After discovering that he lost a quarter of an ounce of weed he reportedly called 9-1-1 to say that his marijuana was missing, but when deputies arrived, he was booked on drunk driving charges instead. His day just went from bad to worse.

It began early Tuesday at 12:52 as a report of a vehicle break-in at the Freeloader Tavern at 501 Lancaster Drive SE, sheriff’s spokeswoman Lt. Sheila Lorance said.

A man told dispatchers that while he was inside the bar, someone broke into his truck, stole $400 cash, a jacket and about 3/4 of an ounce of marijuana, valued at about $180.

Deputy Ryan Clarke went to the scene, but when he was arrived, was unable to find the driver.

About an hour later, the driver called 9-1-1, angry that deputies had not arrived, and was driving.

Lorance said the dispatcher had difficulty understanding the caller because the driver was stopping several times to vomit.

Deputies eventually found the driver at 49th Avenue and Fontana Court SE where the man had parked. The driver, who was found about 100 feet from his truck, told deputies he was looking for the people who stole his “weed.”
Clarke determined that the driver was drunk.

Calvin Hoover, 21, of Salem, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

What an idiot. I mean I can understand that he was probably pissed but come on.

I had no idea women's soccer could be so interesting. I am not really a fan of soccer in general so it this isn't like how I usually rag on women's basketball being inferior to men's basketball. I'm sure for actual soccer fans, women's soccer can be very entertaining but I would prefer watching MMA over soccer any day. This isn't exactly an MMA match but it's about as close as we are going to get in women's soccer. I'll take it.

Can Marijuana Treat Post Traumatic Stress Disorder?

A new study—published in the Journal of Neuroscience—found that a synthetic drug that acts like one of the active components in marijuana (THC) can prevent stress-induced enhancement of fear memories in rats. PTSD is basically a syndrome in which fear-filled memories intrude on daily life and sleep—so preventing stress from strengthening memories of fear could potentially prevent or treat it.

In the study, the rats were trained to fear a dark region of a cage where they received electric shocks. Though rats normally prefer dark places, they learned to stay in the light and avoid the now-scary dark area. When researchers stopped giving shocks in the dark region, rats slowly learned that it was safe again and began to return to it. The researchers measured how long this took.

During the next experiment on a new group of rats, the experience was made more stressful. Now, rats were placed on an elevated grid after receiving the shock. Rats-- and most other animals, including many humans--tend to avoid walking over elevated grids if they can, and find being forced to do so distressing. As expected, the researchers found that it took longer for these rats to learn that the dark region was safe again.

Here's where the marijuana comes in. Researchers trained another group of rats with the grid and the shock. But when they injected the synthetic THC-like compound into a brain region associated with fear, these rats learned as quickly to return to their preferred dark spot as those which had only experienced the more minor stress.

Well hear it is...Smoking Made Music for the Modern Day Hippie. Wiz Khailifa - Burn After Rolling [B.A.R] dropped on Monday November 2 and I have to say it is a as good as No Ceilings if not all around better. Wiz Khalifa, DJ iLL WiLL, & DJ Rockstar bring us one of the best mixtapes of 2009 and the best weed mixtape of 2009 until The Hail Mary Jane Mixtape drops sometime soon [artists the final day to submit tracks is Nov. 6th.].

Back to Khalifa, as I am listening to it as I am writing this post, all I have to say is this tape is amazing. The way Wiz takes you lyrically into weed, drugs, & a party life is so well done. He shows you another side to a Hip-hop lifestyle. Getting high and having a good time while doing it. There's no gun play [maybe some drug play LOL] or robbing with Wiz, but you get what I'm saying. Just straight up Smoking Made Music and as a smoker that is why I love this music, music for weed smokers. Now only about 4 or 5 tracks leaked from this tape, so almost all tracks are brand new. I strongly recommend One Way, Weekend, The Thrill as three of the best tracks on the tape, but Mafia Music & If I Were Lame have some amazing and interesting lyrics. All in all this tape is 5/5 and is a perfect match of weed and great hip-hop. Hip-hop should follow in Khalifa's style of music and lyrics.

On another note look out for Hail Mary Jane's Top 50 or 100 Hip-Hop Songs of 2009 and Top 10 Mixtapes of 2009 and maybe Top 10 Albums of 2009, will see.
