-- UCF burns some timeouts to try and squeeze in one more scoring drive.

-- UCF leads Tulane 14-0 at the half. Kind of a ho-hum start for the Knights, who missed two scoring chances in the red zone.

-- Brynn Harvey to the house. Harvey broke free for a 50-yard touchdown, his longest run of the season.

-- Nick Cattoi hit the extra point and UCF leads Tulane 7-0 with 13:08 left in the first quarter.

-- Nick Giovanetti is the player who was down. Jordan Richards also was thrown in the air on the kickoff return. Richards appears to be fine, while Giovanetti got treated on the sidelines.

-- UCF defense stops Tulane, forcing the Green Wave to punt. A.J. Guyton calls for a fair catch and UCF starts at its 10.

-- UCF overcame an early holding penalty and is moving the ball well. Option is working a lot better than it did early in the season.

-- Brynn Harvey breaks off another long run for the Knights.

-- Tulane player down, forcing a timeout. UCF has the ball at the Tulane 11, leads the Green Wave 7-0 w/ 6:32 left in the first quarter.

-- Brynn Harvey already has six carries for 102 yards. It will be his fourth career 100-yard rushing game and second in a row.

-- UCF went for it on fourth-and-1 on the 2-yard line. Brett Hodges scrambled for no gain and Tulane takes over at its 2-yard line.

-- No safety ... Loss of one yard on the first play. Second-and-one at the Tulane one for the Green Wave. Looking at the replay, it was close.

-- Tulane pass incomplete on third down. UCF was called for pass interference, giving the Green Wave some breathing room. Ball is on Tulane 16.

-- Darius Nall sacked Tulane QB Ryan Griffin and the Green Wave recovers, but Tulane punts after the play.

-- A.J. Guyton scrambled on a promising return, but tripped in the open field. UCF ball on its 25.

-- And that's the end of the first quarter. After a weak start, Tulane has done a few things to prevent UCF from putting a ton of points on the board. It will be second-and-five at the UCF 30 after the timeout.

-- Light turnout for UCF senior day. There are still some fans in the tailgate lots, but they're going to miss the senior recognition ceremony.

-- Michael Greco is sitting out this game with a sprained ankle. He was recognized during pregame festivities.

-- UCF won the coin toss and has elected to receive.

Here is an excerpt of the article for today's paper about senior defensive tackle Torrell Troup:

Torrell Johnson joined the UCF football team four years ago.

He was a quiet yet promising defensive tackle from Conyers, Ga., who was 6-foot-6 and weighed 345 pounds.

During the next four seasons, he went through an impressive metamorphosis that has the Knights in contention for a Conference USA title and NFL scouts drooling over his pro potential.

He slimmed down between his sophomore and junior seasons, now tipping the scales at a lean and mean 314 pounds. He also changed his last name from Johnson to Troup to honor his father, who had gotten back together with his mother after spending years apart.

"My new last name has pushed me to work harder," Troup said. "Everything I do is both for my mom and dad so that they can sit back and say, `Look at my son.' When it gets hard out here and I'm tired, I just think about them. I know how hard they worked, and they didn't have these opportunities. I just keep working hard for them."

Troup is the heart of the UCF football team and arguably will be the toughest player to replace next season. He is one of 13 seniors who will be recognized during a ceremony before UCF (6-4, 4-2 in Conference USA) takes on Tulane (3-7, 1-5) for the Knights' regular-season home finale.
