Lim already graduated.

Legay now on "medical retirement" status.

Mahaulu apparently deciding on whether or not to play football this Fall.

Lavaka slated to play DT if not first starting his LDS mission.

As such, unless there are some unreported OL eligible to play right away, the Warrior OL will probably be 2-deep at best for the season opener at SC.

Re: Green Jerseys

The Wounded Warrior Project is an awesome and helpful cause.
But the Under Armour designs are hideous.

Hopefully the Hawaii football team green jerseys and the Wounded Warrior themed unis
are better designs, compared to the photos of other team unis in this thread.

The Hawaii football team is like an entirely different entity.
The Hawaii football team is the trendsetter.
The team decided to call themselves the Warriors and NOT the Rainbow Warriors.
The team decided to use black with the green and white school colors.
It's great the football team is for change in name, colors, and appearance.

The black unis have been used for over a decade.
Along with winning games, it's these black unis the football team has earned recognition and some respectability.
The black color is a tradition that has been used for over a decade and should still be used.

The black, green, white color combination looks so awesome with the tapa designs.
I'm sure the majority wouldn't want to look like a clone of Michigan State green/white unis or even the New York Jets.

Hawaii should stay with black/green/white. Besides having awesome looking unis
(awesome/stylish unis equals good recruiting tool also),
nothing is more intimidating in appearance and then being crushed by huge Polynesians in black unis.

There are articles on the mindset and trend for current high school/college football players.....
black unis, positives: look good, feel good to play good. Importantly, cool looking unis attract recruits.

If this team went back to just green/white or to rainbows, then there would be a decrease psychologically and in recruitment aspects.

[Waryor]haven't you heard?

chow is switching our uniforms back to green!

if only we could have green turf... oh wait.[/]

Has it been confirmed that there's a switch to only green jerseys?!?!

Sheesh, I sure hope not. Hopefully, the green jerseys are just an alternate option
and that the black unis are kept and used.

As for the black field, I agree with the majority that it should not even be considered.
Black is awesome for unis, but for the football field, definitely not. Hehe!

any color other than green would guarantee the loss of the nfl pro bowl and the chance of having either an exhibition or regular season nfl game at the stadium.

[My3Cats]No matter what UH's colors are, Although UH plays its home games there, there are typically more high school games, specifically ILH that are played in the stadium than UH each year. Player safety is a major consideration, and as other posters have said, a black field would fry anyone on it during day time games. Think about how many law suits from family members would be filed if their child (high school or college) is injured from heat stroke.[/]

Actually the state owns both the stadium and the university. What's the difference? Money being paid by the University to play in the stadium, so like I stated before in a previous post, The state is actually paying them selves back. Job security I guess, but can you imagine how much money the state would save if they just let the university run the stadium? Cut out the middle man who really doesn't do much but get paid to just look at the stadium. Crooked politicians trying to make a quick buck if you asked me. Catch a baseball game at Les Murakami and you'll see the huge difference between the prices. You though Waikiki had some high prices, check out the stadium, an that's centralized.

When a hs player signs up for a particular sport, there is a liability form that is signed by the parent before they can participate. I'm sure the state has there bases covered on liability issues regarding a law suit against the stadium due to a colored field. Every parent is suppose to sign a liability form when there child participates in any recreational activity sport. The state will just redder back to that. Besides the ILH is considering using hs fields for there regular season games in the future to cut down the cost. The OIA has done it for years now.

If the university starts the rebuilding of T.C. Ching stadium and intall more bleachers along with a press box to seat at least 2-3k, then I guaranty that most hs games will be played there due to cost efficiency. Once upon a time, hs games where played on campus when the wooden bleachers where there.

Why don't we have it the same color as red dirt? That way on one can tell when we fumble the ball.
