I’ve been thinking about a future career change, and being a teacher is one of the things that has intrigued me for years. A lot of people tell me that they think I’d make a good teacher, but never actually tell me why they feel that way. It’s interesting to read Wendy Kopp’s ideas on what makes a good teacher, and trying to figure out if I’m ready to make that leap just yet.

Because I use it to get to work almost every day, I often ignore the beauty of the DC Metro system. It’s only when you step back and take it all in, you realize that the design of the DC Metro is an example of brutalism at its best.
