The Winter Short Track Series is a compilation of timed mountain biking races that take place at Renaissance Park. The short 3/4 mile course adds a unique style of racing to the Charlotte area; it's a cross between a criterium, BMX, cyclo-cross and single-track.  Participants, based on category, will race between 15 to 25 laps on the fast course.  Charlotte Sports Cycling and the Tarheel Trailblazers have worked hard to create a trail that is just as exciting for the race participants as it is for the spectators!

Charlotte Sports Cycling and the Giordana-CST Cycling team are hosting a very exciting supported ride on the beautiful rolling hills of Cabarrus and Stanly County on the first Saturday in Spring.  This event will benefit LifeShare Of the Carolinas.

For over 40 years, LifeShare Of The Carolinas has been in the business of saving lives through organ and tissue donation. Designated by the federal government to facilitate organ transplants in southwestern North Carolina, LifeShare is the bridge between people who need transplants and the donors who make those transplants possible.

The Dilworth Criterium is an event that is held in the beautiful tree-lined neighborhood of Dilworth, located only minutes from downtown Charlotte.  This race has a long history with the Dilworth neighborhood. It initially began as a 1/3 mile hard packed cycling track in September of 1897.  In the last 40 years the event has hosted national pro tour teams and cycling stars such as Steve Bauer and George Hincapie! Today's course only has one moderate hill, four left turns, and a large purse, which allows for a very fast and exciting race for the participants and spectators!  Come to watch or race and prepare to have fun!

The Charlotte Mountain Bike Summer Series takes place every Wednesday night throughout the summer, at various trails in Charlotte.  These races have a format similar to criteriums; the racers must try to finish as many laps as possible, within a certain time frame.  Each course varies in length and obstacles, and will challenge every level of cyclist!

2014 BIKE! Charlotte is seventeen days of bicycle related events and promotions used to encourage families, friends, and colleagues to breakout the bike and use it as a means of transportation and recreation!  The bicycle is an efficient, non-polluting mode of transportation that is good for your health and provides many free perks.  The event features an agenda of exciting activities for children and adults.

The University City Duathlon is a new multisport event, hosted by Run For Your Life and BikeLine of Charlotte, that weaves through the greenways of University City's Research Park.  The race begins with a 5K run through the greenway, followed by a 19K bike on the roads around the research park, and ends with a 3K run that again utilizes the greenway.  This is a semi-hilly course, which makes it a challenging ride for veterans and a great race for novice athletes!

The Catawba Riverfront Classic is an event held at the U.S. National Whitewater Center, and features 9.5 miles of single track trails, full of obstacles and climbs that will keep every rider on their toes!  This race is held to raise money for the Tarheel Trailblazers, which is an organization full of cyclists who not only help promote the sport, but provide maintenance to all of the trails around Charlotte.  Come prepared to race and support the trails!

11 YEARS AND STILL RIDING!

The Collier Lilley Ride 4 Life is an event that will take cyclists through the beautiful back roads of Mecklenburg, Iredell, Rowan, and Cabarrus counties.  This ride serves to allow cyclists a great fully supported course, while raising money for Lifeshare of the Carolinas which is an organization that assists with organ transplants.  Plan to spend the morning on your bike and then stick around for a great lunch and celebrate all of the lives that have been saved due to organ donations!

The Tree Shaker mountain bike challeng is a 4 or 8 hour long mountain bike race, which winds along the pristine single track trails of Anne Springs Close Greenway.  This is a grueling event that will test the physical ability and skill of all cyclists.  Come join us for a full day of mountain biking and fun!

The Giordana Crossroads Classic is comprised of 6 days of fast paced bike racing!  Cyclists will take part in the crowd pleasing criteriums and in longer road races.  Each night the winner and the overall race leader will receive a Maillot Jaune (or yellow jersey).  We also award a Maillot Vert (green jersey) to each of the sprint winners.  The $20,000 purse attracts some of the nation's best pro's, along with local cyclists all trying to get their part of the action!
