Wearing mascara is a must for me! I have been blessed to have been given long lashes, but if they are not curled and have mascara on them, they pretty much stick straight out and my eyes look tiny! With that said, when I first I tried this new mascara from Maybelline called Colossal Volum' Express, I flipped and jumped with joy in my bathroom!

It lasted through the day and didn't smudge or streak. Taking it off was a breeze with normal cleanser too.

Nailtiques Home Mani Tips.

If you are one who is sacrificing a bit on your beauty routine, and now do your own at-home manicures, the nail care experts at Nailtiques has shared with me some fabulous home mani tips.

First thing is first - be prepared. There’s nothing like digging through your bathroom drawers to ruin your manicure. Make sure all your tools are lined up before you begin and be sure to protect your workspace from any spills with towels. You will also need the essentials ready: 100% cotton balls, nail polish remover, nail files, cuticle pusher, paper towels, one small bowl of warm water, and most importantly - good lighting.

On to the tips-

Go Bare:
Use 100% cotton balls and acetone-free nail polish remover to slip back into your natural shade. Synthetic cotton balls and wadded-up toilet paper need not apply. Quality cotton balls will remove your polish more efficiently. Nailtiques® Non-Acetone Remover has aloe and conditioners to help prevent dry, brittle nails and cuticles. For the best results, soak the cotton ball with remover, then gently remove all layers of color or treatment with a gentle back and forth motion.

Soften Up:
Nailtiques® Cuticle & Hand Conditioner to each nail before soaking in warm water. For extra moisture, add a few drops of Nailtiques® Oil Therapy to the warm water. Take time to dip one end of the stick in water, then wrap the end with cotton. Relax and breathe deeply while your nails soak. Rank and File:

Get Polished:
Before you start painting, you’ll need a blank canvas. Make sure your nails are free from excess oils and creams to ensure that your polish stays put. I love, love, love Xen-Tan and am constantly sharing my love for this holy grail line of self-tanners. I recently turned my sister onto this fabulous self-tanner, and here is her guest post on her new found love for Xen-Tan!

I am an avid user of self-tanners and have found the best and I mean the best self-tanner on the market today. XEN-TAN will not disappoint!

XEN-TAN has a new patented time-released ingredient that makes tanning more gradual as it is slowly released over time. This helps create a more even, streak-free tan. Without the icky smell too - and thatis worth writing about.

XEN-TAN for face has a nice smell, an orange like creamsicle scent. It gradually tans your face over the course of the day/evening. Just to be aware, that you still need to use an SPF sunscreen after applying the XEN-TAN since it does not have SPF in it.

XEN-TAN for BODY is called Transform and it smells like chocolate! As I was applying it, I almost licked myself since it smelled so good! Even as the tan gradually develops over the day/evening, the sweet smell is still there. Be aware, that if you plan to sleep with it on, make sure you wear dark colored jammies to protect your sheets.

It seems like forever since I made my trip to NYC with Glam.com to narrow down the entries for this years installment of the Glam Beauty Awards. I got to try so many great new products and learned from other beauty bloggers what worked and didn't work for them. I remember how funny it was that most of us liked the majority of the same things. So, I guess you can say that us Beauty Bloggers know what we are talking about.

Anyway, it is time to vote now. Each category (such as makeup, skin care, body, etc.) is broken down into sections (such as acne, cleanser, eye cream etc.) to make the process a bit easier. Though, picking your favorite of so many great beauty products is not always such an easy task, now is it?

Take a break with a nice glass of iced tea or lemonade and vote for your favorite beauties now!
