The last few years have been a learning and growing experience. I'm finally able to get back to myself, get things in order, and really put one foot in front of the other in order to achieve my goals. It's never to late to make it happen, as long as you start some where. Over the next few weeks and months I will let everyone know a few of my plans. I am excited to have everyone take this journey with me.

Keep Smiling!!

Stacy

A mother'nullnullnullnull

Here is a letter from a woman to her unborn child.

Dear Heartbeat of my Soul,

I knew I wanted you long before I was able to have you. As I got older and I saw the world around us, I knew the only way I was going to have you was if I found the right daddy for you. I didn't want to just have you with anyone. I wanted you to have a daddy that would love you as much as I did and had the dedication to be with you, watch you grow up and be just as proud of you in your accomplishments.

I was excited to hear the doctor say, “Your pregnant!” I was excited to hear your heartbeat for the first time. I was excited to see my first pictures of your face and try to see your features and figure out who you were going to look like. I wanted to feel you grow inside of my body into the perfect little baby you were meant to be. I couldn't wait to feel you move letting me know you were there. I wanted to sing to you and talk to you while you grew so you would hear my voice and know once you were born and heard that same voice that I was that mommy that loved you before you were even born. I knew the pain of giving birth to you would have been worth it the second I saw your precious face.

The long sleepless nights would have been worth it knowing the reason I couldn't sleep was to be to take care of you. The long sleepless days would have been worth it knowing I would be watching you learn something new every day. My days would consist of being with you as you learn to roll over, crawl, take your first steps and eventually run. You would take your first bites of baby food and graduate to regular food. Learning to drink out of a cup like you knew all along.

Days of taking you to the park and learning how to go down a slide have always been something looked forward to. Those days of teaching you your ABC’s and 123’s while at night singing you baby lullabies were events I thought I would live for. Now I believe they are all but a dream.

Watching you grow into your own personality and identity traits as you start school. Dropping you off at your first day of Kindergarten and you bringing home your art projects. Going through elementary school and graduating on to Junior High and on to High School where you would have went to your junior and senior prom before heading off to college to start your future. Eventually you would be starting a family of your own and I could only pray we as your parents would have instilled the morals and values you needed to be successful in all aspects of your life.

Watching you take on life's milestones and conquering them is all I ever wanted to experience with you but as life has plans of its own, it looks like that I won't be able to experience this with you. I am older now and although now a days women are having babies later in life, I am not sure life's plan will be for me to experience biological motherhood with you, my precious love one, but know that I only wanted to best life for you and I couldn't bring you in this world if it meant I would be responsible for hurt and pain that I could myself prevent. With this being said, know I loved you as a baby myself and I will always love you till the day I leave this earthy plain and for eternally.

Love always and for eternally,
Your mommy who would have loved you more than her own life

The Positive Side of What No One Knows is AVAILABLE!!!

After many years of putting this project aside for many reasons, the time has come and The Positive Side of What No One Knows, is finally available through Amazon on Kindle and paperback.

Some have asked why there are two different covers for the book. One is for the paperback and one is for the Kindle version. The original cover for the book was the cover that is being used for the Kindle version (the photo of The Bay with the mountains) which ended up not being a large enough file for the paperback version so I had to go with a separate cover for the paperback.

Why not use the same for both? Being as this was my first book, the original cover had meaning behind it when it was made. This had to be a cover for many reasons. So, with that being said this is the first edition of the book and this was the first cover made for the book so this was going to be the first cover at any cost. Luckily for me it worked for the Kindle version and I am happy with that.

I know many have asked about the covers as well as the spelling errors that have been made and not found prior to the printing of the paperback. At first I found this disturbing as I wanted to book to be perfect. It has been a month and half since the release of the paperback and I have come to the conclusion that even the little imperfections make the book perfect.

The book wasn't written to be a best seller, although that would be amazing, but rather written for those who have gone through traumatic events in their lives to see they are not alone. There are others in this world who have similar experiences and live every day trying to turn their tragic pasts into positive futures.

For some it is just another day

I know I have posted on a while but I decided today would be the day I post and this would be the subject of my post. I want trying to be nosey but when people are being loud and walking by your room, they are kind of making it your business.

Two women walk by and then stop right outside of my room and continue talking about the upcoming holiday. That " holiday" would be Valentine's Day. One woman was saying how she doesn't like how everyone puts such an emphasis on one day out of the year where everything is so expensive from candy to flowers to stuffed animals. Little things that would costs pennies on the dollar cost dollar to the twenty. She stated that if her man can't spoil her all year, she doesn't want anything from him on Valentine's Day.

The other female started that her man gets on her nerves, is in between jobs and because he doesn't do anything for her all year, he better do something really nice for her on Valentine's Day or he is kicked to the curb.

I guess my question is, " How does a woman measure her worth?" Is it by how her man treats her? Is it how she treats herself or how she allows others to treat her?

If a woman is going to degrade her man and say that he doesn't do anything for you and he isn't worth a damn thing, then why are you with him? Love? Is love enough? If so, then why complain? If you expect more then why accept less? There is a difference between supporting, enabling, and help to be a better person.

If you have a damaged man but you see the is trying to build himself into greatness but needs a boost, by all means, be that boost. But if you have a man who has no spark of self discipline with no eye on the prize of future success, you just may have to realize love alone isn't going to light that spark and he has to find his own way.

Valentine's Day shouldn't be the day to judge someone's love for you based on what they get or do for you. I'm not saying they should "spoil" you with physical gifts all year because there are many things someone could do to show their love for you but if they get themselves more gifts than they get you, maybe you should take a look at things.

You know what that means right?

Time to finish my book that has been on hold for a while. Sometimes you have to walk away from certain projects for a while for a variety of reasons. It is time to pick up where I left off so here I sit here tonight with my peppermint tea and the need to start writing for many reasons.

So, lets get this started. Due to it being late and I do have to work tomorrow, I may be working on this tonight for only a short period but as many of you know, it will depend on how it goes. Sometimes I get going and just have to keep it going.

Thank you for all of your support on this journey.

Love and Light,
Then again if you continue to do them, they are no longer a mistake but a conscious action you choose to perform. You learn and grown as a person. You grow to be what you already know you don't want to be.

People who live in their past will never be happy. People who let those from their past control their lives and control their future will never be happy. People who do stupid stuff and hurt others and BLAME their past and don't change it will never be happy because they don't WANT to change it. If you want to change you will. If you don't want to change then admit that you don't want to change and be honest, but don't give people a bulls**t line about people can not change because that's a lie.

I know a LOT of people that can and have changed. I am one of those people. If anyone should blame their their past on anything it's me but I don't because I'm not playing the victim to anything. I'm a survivor! I've gone through a lot of negative events in my life and I use that experience to help others, not as an excuse to be a bitch and be angry at the world. I have spent many years to myself doing a lot of soul searching and a lot of self growth and learned a LOT about me.

People who say they can not change either do not WANT to change or are to LAZY to change. Which one are you? If you want to change, then stop with the excuses and do it. This isn't directed at just one person, this is for anyone. It's easy to use your past as an excuse. It's also easy to judge someone for their past. It takes a stronger person to stand up, take responsibility for their actions and make the change to be a better person. It also takes a bigger person to not judge another human being. Remember, we all have a past and one day, you may also be judged for something you once did.

Update on Book

Hey everyone,

People have been asking me about the progress of my book, The Positive Side of What No One Knows, Turning a Tragic Past into a Positive Future. I took some time off for a number of things. As some of you know, I went back to school and that has been keeping me busy, especially this semester. Another reason is I have been doing some self evaluations in my life. There have been a few things that had to be dealt with so I put the book on hold. I plan to start working on the book again on a regular basis within the next week.

Sometimes, when you work on a project like this, certain emotions come up that you feel you dealt with until something else in your life happens and you sit back and realize that there are still little triggers that you didn't know still existed. There are times when you believe you have a handle on situations because you worked through certain emotions and felt awesome because you finally put everything behind you. Then you hear something and you begin to look back at your life and you see things in a different light and you realize that maybe you only put the majority of the past behind you. You begin to realize that there were still a few loose strings to tie up.

I have come to terms with those loose strings and tied them up. Even though I have moved on, there are always the memories. I refuse to let those of my past control how I live my future. I will continue to help those in need. I will continue to help people and if telling my stories help others then that's what I will do, no matter what. It's a healing road for everyone and it's one I'm willing to continue to travel in order to bring others to a more positive place in their life and to continue to show them that you can always turn a tragic past into a positive future.

Whatever Happened To Mankind

When you look at recent events like the senseless killings in this world, it makes one question mankind.

Inspiration From an Unlikely Source

In 2010, I was working at a condo complex and met a woman that lived in one of the units. One day she was at the pool talking with me and my nephew was there to bring me lunch. When she met him, she thought he was a very smart and well mannered young man. I admit that he was at the moment but he was a teenager and we started talking. He was going through a lot and was beginning to act out more then just teenage boy stuff. She informed me that she worked at San Quentin State Prison and they had a program that may help him. It is called S.Q.U.I.R.E.S.

S.Q.U.I.R.E.S stands for, San Quentin Utilization of Inmate Resources Experiences and Studies. The program is meant to deter teen boys from making negative decisions in their lives that could result in them being sent to jail, San Quentin itself, or worse, dead. Here the juveniles come into contact with inmates who have gone through many years of self evaluation, a screening process in which they must prove themselves, and is approved to be in the program. You can not just wake up and decide that you want to be in the S.Q.U.I.R.E.S program. The inmates bring their stories, experiences, lessons learned, and much more to the program. They all come from different cultural and environmental backgrounds. They have become mentors, motivators, and in most cases someone the teens feel they can open to and feel comfortable telling their stories.

Some may ask, "What makes the teens open up to strangers who are murders, robbers, gang members, drug addicts, and even those caught up in California's Third Strike Law." In my opinion, I believe the teens find it easier to open up to the inmates because these guys have been there. They know what it's like to be in the shoes of these teens. Most of the young teens don't have positive male role models in their lives and they can relate to the inmates. The lies they tell and the negative roles they take in life, the inmates have lived and then some. They are not some therapist that sits behind a desk and ask," How does that make you feel?" The teens can physically see what can happen to them should they continue to make the wrong choices in life. The inmates have taken years to come to terms with what they did in their lives and realize how their actions have affected their loved ones. They have chosen to help keep teens from sitting in their seats and sleeping in their cells. They keep working at the teens and eventually the teens open up and give in to the fact the inmates really do know how they feel. They work with the teens to realize all of the anger they try to keep bottled inside is only a secondary emotion to how they truly feel.

At 19 years old I was watching t.v. and I heard someone say you need to forgive those who have done you wrong. Forgive them, not for them but for you. That really made me sit back and think of everybody who has ever committed a negative act against me and the anger, hate, and resentment I had been holding against them. I started to change my way of thinking and let myself release all of the negative emotions through different modalities. Although, I had changed my way of thinking and was working on a new me, I didn't realize there were things I wasn't addressing. I thought I figured it all out. It wasn't until I first came to the S.Q.U.I.R.E.S program, I was listening to the different inmates and I heard each inmate say different quotes that I could apply to different aspects of my life but there were two that really made me sit back and think. One in particular just put everything in perspective.

One inmate by the name of, David Monroe has coined the term, "Hurt People, Hurt People." When he first asks teens what that means, most of the teens didn't know what exactly he meant. Most of the adults didn't either. David goes into detail and explains what it is that he means. Anger is a coping mechanism to deal with the hurt and could lead to acting out, violent behavior, drug abuse, and many other negative influences in your life. I know this from personal experiences.

I realized that all of the anger that I had in me years ago was really the hurt I had against certain people for different reasons. People could have changed events in my life. I was hurt and then angry at myself for for not being strong enough to do more to change different negative events in my life, even knowing now that there was nothing I could have done at the time. When I was done crying, the hurt turned to anger which then turned to hate and over the years, it build up until two particular events in my life when I was younger could have landed me in prison. (those stories for another time but the other quote I learned in S.Q.U.I.R.E.S relates to those events)

Now I live my life and help others stay positive. I am now happy and although I have learned to release the anger, my stories are still my stories and I still had to live through some very tough events that no person should ever have to go through. I am currently writing a book to tell part of my story. Telling my stories, even if helping one person, will make it all worth it. Sometimes it still bothers me to tell certain parts of my stories but it's a healing process for everyone and something I have to do. I am happy to let others know they are not alone and for that, I can relate to the inmates of the S.Q.U.I.R.E.S program.

Attached is a blog that David wrote titled, "Hurt People, Hurt People, So Help Hurt People Heal." Please read it as it will help give you some insight as to what goes though someone's mind when they are hurting.

http://thedailylove.com/hurt-people-hurt-people-so-help-hurt-people-heal/

I am a woman who visits an all male prison and started so in order to help out a family member. How is it a crisis when you have the people of a certain country fighting for their right to have a democratic government? This is not a crisis. People are just waiting to see how this ends before they make the move.

The Light is There

There is ALWAYS a light at the end of the tunnel.
You just have to feel your way through the tunnel
to get to the golden pot at the end of the rainbow,
which sometimes falls over the tunnel making it
hard to see.
~ Stacy Lupinacci

It's Time to Love Again

When you find someone you want to know on a more personal level, for obvious reasons, let them know.
