This one day event promises to be a fun and affordable day for all who participate.</p> <p>Springfest is a true community effort, thanks to the efforts of an all-volunteer staff and the support of many individuals and companies in the Madison Township area. No school funds or other tax monies are spent on Springfest; it is supported entirely by donations and funds raised at the event.</p> <p>The Springfest organizing committee thanks Madison Local Schools for their cooperation in allowing us to use the school grounds to hold the festival each year. The schools are a focal point of the Madison Township community, and it is fitting that the biggest party of the year takes place there.</p> <p>When possible, the Springfest committee donates part of its proceeds back to the Madison community.</p> </article> <article> <h1>Basket Raffle</h1> <p>Joel — Sat, 31 Dec 2011 23:33:09 +0000</p> <p>One of the most popular events at every year’s Springfest is the Basket Raffle. Community organizations, businesses and school children donate beautiful themed baskets loaded with gifts, toys, beauty products, gift cards, and many other surprises. After you buy your raffle tickets, take your time checking over the dozens of baskets available and decide which ones you want to try to win, then drop your tickets in the boxes next to each basket. Tickets are drawn and baskets are awarded at 7 pm. In 2011, performers included the Madison High School Chorale, Steel Drum Band, and Jazz Band; a waterball competition; and local bands B-Caged and The Exploding Toads.</p> <p>All Day Events included the Basket Raffle, free giant inflatables, kids’ games, the Madison Jr.-Sr. High Art Exhibit, and exhibit by the Madison Historical Society exhibit, a Punt, Pass & Kick Competition and a Strongman Competition, and Cake Silent Auction.</p> <p>Check back here for information about this year’s entertainment.</p> <div id="attachment_145" class="wp-caption alignright" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://firestomper.smugmug.com"></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Photo courtesy Firestomper Photography</p></div> </article> <article> <h1>Kids’ Games</h1> <p>Joel — Sat, 31 Dec 2011 23:23:41 +0000</p> <p>Our free giant inflatables are always popular, such as the Bounce House Castle and Obstacle Course.</p> <p>In 2011, the kids’ carnival games cost $5 for unlimited play. Instead of small prizes for each game, the kids played for fun and then turned in their bracelets in exchange for their choice of two or three prizes, such as stuffed animals, Hot Wheels cars, bracelets and necklaces, and lots more.</p> <p>Details about this year’s Kids’ Games will be posted as they become available.</p> </article> <article> <h1>Springfest Marketplace</h1> <p>Joel — Sat, 31 Dec 2011 23:21:27 +0000</p> <p>Take some time to browse the Springfest Marketplace and pick up some decorating items, clothing or who-knows-what while you’re at the festival.</p> <p>Crafters and vendors are defined as groups who wish to sell items or raise funds from their booth. The sale of raffle tickets is not permitted. All participants must be Madison Township residents or employees. Marketplace crafters and vendors must fill out a booth application and receive approval of the committee to participate. There will be a fee for each booth space.</p> <p>The application for the 2012 Springfest Marketplace will be posted here as it becomes available.</p> </article> <article> <h1>Township Networking Table</h1> <p>Joel — Sat, 31 Dec 2011 23:19:30 +0000</p> <p>Madison Township businesses may provide business cards, brochures, fliers, coupons, magnets, etc. for the Madison Township Networking Table. No items may be larger than 8.5″ x 11″. Madison Township businesses are defined as those with facilities located in Madison Township or businesses whose owners reside in Madison Township.</p> <p>Non-profit organizations in Madison Township may also provide materials for the Networking Table. Materials for this table should also be no larger than 8.5″ x 11″. Due to space limitations, there will not be exhibitors tables available at Springfest this year.</p> <p>The deadline and drop-off location for materials for the Networking Table will be posted here as they become available.</p> </article> </main></body></html>
