I Love You to Infinity and Beyond

{cough, cough, hack, cough, wipe eyes}.....

OH, HEY!!! It's been a little while since I posted here on the 'ol blog. After clearing out the dust and spider webs, I decided some remodeling was in order. I'll be tinkering with the design over the next few days, but should have it finished soon.

After a bit of search and rescue, I found most of my tools, dies and stamps to make a creation for this month's Ribbon Carousel Challenge ...

Love Is In the Air

I decided to go literal in my translation of the challenge. I inked up a cloud embossing plate with white VersaMagic ink and embossed the light blue CS. Then die cut the 3 heart shapes. After taping the Carta Bella Devoted DP behind cut-outs, I added more white VersaMagic ink to the clouds with a sponge dauber and deepened the clouds with B0000 and B000 Copic Markers. Next is the May Arts Sheer Ruffled Edge ribbon topped with an embossed pink die-cut heart.

The Papertrey Ink sentiment says "i <3 U to infinity and beyond", perfect for the challenge, dontcha think?! Finishing touches are the VersaMagic again around the edges and a cute heart rhinestone heart by Kaisercraft.

I did realize/remember a few things....

1. I am SOOOO happy that I made something! I forgot how absolutely enjoyable crafting is!

2. Blogging isn't easy!

3. I better get caught up on my Jessica Spraque photo editing class TODAY! ;) I haven't photographed artwork in a while and this was probably NOT a great piece to start with.

4. I need to learn how to use the linking system for the products I use this week as well.

Prince Ian Preview Day!

Welcome to the MAY PREVIEW DAYS with The Greeting Farm!
Before I get to showing you some brand new projects today with some FRESH new stamps, we just have a few announcements we'd love to share:

We've had some changes to TGF Challenges and are very grateful to have heard such positive feedback so far as we've turned them over to our Showcase DT. Please make sure you visit the TGF Blog (and check out it's cute new makeover while you're there!) and tune into the Left-hand sidebar for all of our current challenges in ONE place!

Now on to the pretty stuff, alright?! Well, how about handsome stuff instead?! Today I am previewing Prince Ian, who would look adorable with Princess Anya from a couple days ago. Isn't he a majestic little Prince!

On this card, I used the Basic Grey Plumeria paper pad for inspiration. Purple is such a regal color that I thought I'd start there. I colored him with Copics, cut out his "outer garment layer" from silver CS, and added the very hip and cool Two-Tone Grosgrain ribbon. By slightly curving the "a special guy" sentiment from the TGF My Guy Ian stamp set, I was able to add it to the banner die cut. :D

Oh Snap Blog Hop Challenge!

Hey y'all! Today is There She Goes' fourth and final day of new release peeks! So exciting!

We are finishing up with my favorite set of the release, a set that is sure to appeal to all the cardmaking, scrapbooking, camera wielding stampers out there!!

Oh Snap is a 6x8 set that includes 33 stamps, and will sell for $24.

Did I mention that this is my favorite set in the release?! Seriously there are soooo many sayings and adorable elements that I just can't wait to play with it some more. Here is my first card using the stamp set.

I started with this week's TSG sketch (again, I know, work with me here!). Using the EP This and That Paper Pad, i made the card. So cute!

Then I stamped the camera 3 times, colored each one, and cut out the layers of the camera. By layering up, you get such awesome dimension when you look at the card IRL.

You can kinda see the layers here, but in person it's so dang cute! I added Diamond Glaze to the flashes and camera lens'.

And of course I had to use my favorite sentiment in the set: Take a picture...it will last longer. Hee hee. Reminds me of NYC and all the construction workers whistling at the women walking by. :D

Hey everyone! Welcome to day THREE of this month's There She Goes New Release Blog Hop Challenges. Approach these SUPER CUTE girls, with their frazzled hair, with caution….they just might EXPLODE! Bombdiggity is the PERFECT set for showing JUST how excited/happy/proud you are of that special someone in your life….and they're just FUN!

I am loving ALL of the images in this stamp set, but this little girl reminded me of those dress up wigs we had as kids. We'd get all dressed up and put on plays in the garage. We got so good we even charged admission and my mom made snacks and lemonade for us! Well, by now y'all know that I always start with a sketch. This week's TSG Challenge is, lucky for me, a sketch!

I used the Echo Park A Boy's Life paper pad again, showing the versitility of a pad. A "boy" themed pad can easily be used for a girl.

I added a Stickled Star and colored her boots with a mix of black and stardust stickles. Of course her wig needed some bling on the bows and I added a little bling to the sentiment and down the side of the crown border. Tied up the ribbon (May Arts Striped Twill in Red) with the Bow Easy. That little tool sure does make my life easier. And Voila! And adorable card! :D

I love this adorable little Princess! I used Silver Shimmer Cardstock as the base and layered up with MME Follow Your Heart-Be Happy Paper (seems fitting right?!) Added rhinestones and even put a little diamond ring on her left hand. Cute!

I decided to do something different this time. I made a set of magnets for the fridge that would be easy to replicate in no time at all. There are just so many cute sayings that I wanted to be able to use all of them!

First I assembled the supplies: Bottle Caps with magnets, A Boy's Life Paper Pad, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, Memento Ink, Copics and the lush and fabulous May Arts Twine (coming to the Ribbon Carousel this week)! Then got to work making some magnets. Punch paper, stamp and color, add Diamond Glaze, gently add the twine.

And Voila, adorable magnets for the fridge that reinforce positive thinking for the kids!

I need a congratulatory card for Dylan tonight, so I used the adorable lion stamp and matching sentiment.

I cut apart the Yellow Woven Burlap Ribbon and twisted the pieces to form the lions mane and tale. I also used it as the ribbon tales on top of the Brown/Ivory Striped Grosgrain Ribbon. So cute and fun!

I love this set! I used the Fiddlesticks DP from MME and this fab yellow and grey solid plaid ribbons by May Arts. Then, of course I needed a little bling, so I put some rhinestones on her pocket and bow. And a square rhinestone on the pup's collar. Shimmery, Glimmery TGF Release Day Blog Hop!

We are so excited to bring you FIVE new releases which includes TWO brand new clear stamps in a BRAND NEW character line, and three new "interactive' sets which TGF is releasing for the FIRST time! Isn't she adorable with her cute Hawaiian bikini and matching eye shadow! I tell you, I'm in love with this little cutie! I used last year's Lauderdale paper from Basic Grey and some Rubytone Seam Binding. The button was in my stash and matched perfect.

And here she is close up. I love her little flowered bathing suit! CA-UTE!!!

(I will have another card featuring Sitting Cute, but not till tomorrow afternoon. I've been battling a fever, strep throat and bronchitis for over 10 days now and it's finally won.)

Sitting Cute with The Greeting Farm!

Hey everyone! It's another fantastic preview day for The Greeting Farm! We're adding to the already wildly anticipated interactive sets with another adorable set called "Sitting Cute". Let's get to the eye candy, shall we?!

I thought she'd look so adorable sitting atop a few pillows. I just love this new paper line called Dots and Stripes from Echo Park. It so bright and cheery! The accessories from My Mind's Eye Dilly Dally "Best" Pins and Buttons is one of my other new favorite things, so I doubled up the buttons a top a bow made of my favorite V-striped Twill ribbon. So much fun, right?!!

I just love seeing the inside of a card finished off, so I stamped the sentiment that comes with the set on an oval die cut and layered on the scalloped die cut to finish it all off. CA-UTE!!!

Here she is perched on her couch...waiting for Mr. Right maybe? ;) I am so loving this MME Dolled Up paper. And this is my new favorite seam binding color, Posie! So much fun!

The difference between a good card and a great card for me is the little details. Using an Opal Viva Pearl Pen, I added buttons to the pillows, blanket behind her, and even a little on the flowers to give a bit of texture. Peacock Liquid Pearls made her braid tie dimensional too.

I used a lot of dimension on this card to really make her stand out. Can you tell I really LOVE this set!!

She is so adorable! I ventured out of my comfort zone and colored her hair pink! Yup, it's a first, but certainly not a last!

Oh goodness, I am realizing this could get pretty addictive! I adore Glimmer Bean! Here she is decked out in purple.

The NEW Ribbon Carousel and a Giveaway!

Oh my...with all the weather mishaps this week, I'm running behind with everything! But I've got some eye candy for you today using this month's Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients Kits! I've made some lollipop cards that would be great for kids or even for adults! I'm not gonna jabber on too much...there's lots of eye candy today.

January's TE Key Ingredients Kit!

Hey everyone! Just a quick note to let you know that I am still alive and kickin' just been sooooo busy with the RibbonCarousel.com store. CHA is coming so you know what that means....new products....new designs......lots of fun after the works all done!

For now I have some super exciting news to share: Taylor asked me to stay on the Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients Design Team! I "PUFFY HEART" the Key Ingredients kits and uber love the TE stamps, so if course I said YES! One of my favorite things about the kits is the EXTRAS that Taylor coordinates to go WITH the kits. They are all assembled HERE...quick and easy to find!

We have two new teammates joining us: the amazing Debra Carriere and the sassy and talented Jessie Rone!

Jessica Diedrich has accepted the daunting task of keeping us all organized as our new DT coordinator...pop over to her blog to give her a knuckle bump. ;)

Rockin' 2012 in with The Greeting Farm!

Hey everyone! It's RELEASE DAY at The Greeting Farm! We are SO excited too because not only are there a ton of new releases, there are a TON of new faces being introduced on the TGF BLOG! We are welcoming 8 new Design Team members to our "SHOWCASE" team, the team that will be carrying you through until our next round of previews in March. Our new SHOWCASE team will be bringing you lots of fresh ideas using our new releases and some fun tutorials and other special posts along the way.

What's more? We have SIX new releases available in the TGF Store and a chance to WIN all six of them just for hopping and saying hello to our new PREMIERE and SHOWCASE teams. We hope you've enjoyed the last week or so of previews, announcements and are SO grateful that you are sharing in our excitement as TGF rings in the NEW YEAR!

Here's a quick peek at a card I made using both the Miss Anya Garland stamp set and the clear Handmade By stamp set. So adorable!

I was feeling like rockin' the bling to bring in the New Year! The Sheer Pull Flower/Bow Ribbon is from RibbonCarousel.com. I love it, because you can pull the ribbon through those 3 satin green bands in the back of it, to make ruffles, flowers, all kinds of cute stuff. Miss Anya is adorable paper-pieced with Basic Grey Picadilly papers.

I stamped the sentiment from Handmade By onto the bottom of the middle panel.

And here's the back stamped with one of the Handmade By stamps too!

TGF Sneak Peeks - Made Just for You

Hey everyone! Today is the sneak peek of a fabulous new Clear Stamp Set by The Greeting Farm. I love all of the stamps in this set! There are lots of different ways to stamp the back of your cards so that the recipient can save forever who made their creation.

Do you remember the sneak peek Miss Anya Garland card? Well I stamped the back of it here:

Cute huh? Now there are a few stamps that are adorable sentiments that you can use for your cards. Here is a card I made featuring the sentiment as the focal point:

I started the layers with some White Sheer Ruffled Edge Ribbon. Then I built up the Spellbinders Heart and Scalloped Heart Die cut layers. I bumped up the layers with Zots 3D dots. My favorites. We'll be back in a few days with a full release and recap of all the gorgeous stamp sets. I look forward to seeing you again then. :D

Hey everyone! Welcome back for another December Key Ingredients Blog Hop! Oh I love this month's KI kit with all the hearts and penguins!

I used the green and yellow cardstock to make the foundation for the card. Spellbinders Label One is perfectly fit for the top panel and the little penguins paper on the bottom.

I cut out the penguin and mailbox after coloring with Copics.
