If you need layers of card stock or Designer Series Paper to hold together, then this is the sticky stuff for you! Mind you, it is not always perfect but 99.5% of the time, in my experience, it is.
(Red) Sticky Strip = strong and sticky. It's a double-sided pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive!
- heat resistent
- sticks in an instant with no peeling edges (so position it carefully!)
- can be used on paper, glass metals
- can hold glitter, buttons, metal embellishments
- red protective backing
- can be used when applying two different surfaces together--paper to metal or paper to glass
- can be used on fabrics or when adding ribbon to a frame (painted wood surface)
To use Sticky Strip:
- keep tape on roll--keep elevated from paper, keep even tension, then press down firmly. I like to hold it on my wrist, like a bracelet, and pull the needed amount from there. This frees up all of your fingers if necessary. I also burnish (rub back and forth) the Sticky Strip to the surface of choice with a Bone Folder.
- use scissors to separate backing from the sticky stuff
To have some FUN with Sticky Strip:
- sprinkle glitter or micro-beads onto exposed tape
- cover stripes on designer paper with Sticky Strip and sprinkle with glitter
- Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet (Sticky Strip on steroids)--can be cut using the Big Shot
FUN PROJECT: altered frame--cover with designer paper, cover with a sheet of Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet (120805, $14.95 for 12 12" x 12" sheets), remove the areas that don't belong on the frame with an Exacto Knife, remove protective layer and cover with micro-beads---looks like frosted glass.
Go experiment and have fun. I would never be without a roll or two of Sticky Strip on hand!
