Mushroom soup was a little on the salty side. Chicken was good and I believe, so was the hot dog.

Posting food photos in the middle of the night makes me hungry, which isn’t good. I’ll stop now.

I tend to let music run in the background until something gets my attention. In this case, it was this bunch of lines, which I don’t think I’ve heard anyone verbalise so well:

Pluck it right out of the dark, dusty closet in the back of my heart where I buried it with cement shoes on.

Ask me what I want in a man and I will have to think about it for a couple of days, before typing up a list that may be detailed and precise and ultimately describe someone who simply doesn’t exist on the basis that we’re all human here.

These lines just about summarises it, although I would like him to be as “patient, kind, faithful and true” as I’m willing to be to the right guy. You can be everything in the second paragraph and still be an abusive, philandering puppy kicker.

The blurb for the perfume is as follows:

At the beginning of this year, I picked up The Body Shop’s Love Etc, which had top and middle notes that I liked. But once it stayed on the skin all day and mingled with sweat, it started to smell like one of my last perfumes which I fell out of love with. I found my current perfume not long after and found a buyer for Love Etc.

The reason why I’m even blogging about this is because I found the gift box while cleaning out my makeshift dressing table. What is it about product boxes that make us girls hang on to them even if they’re no more use to us?

I decided to toss it out, but I didn’t want to do that before getting a photo of it first. One of those little decluttering tips for things that you have no real use for, apart from unearthing every now and then and thinking, “Oh yeah, I bought that.”

A photo of it will do the same thing. I certainly takes up less physical space!

You know it’s meant to be when you decide to walk into Aussino to see what kind of sheets they have in stock, immediate see something you want, and then find that they have a generous discount for members AND it’s the last day of their extremely quiet sale.

I only buy bed linen once every few years, usually when the current two in rotation starts showing wear and tear. In my case, I only have one quilt cover and only recently thought of getting a second one when one corner of mine disintegrated in the last laundry run.

I originally wanted the green one cause it was the first one I saw, but they didn’t have any more for singles. They did, however, had it in pink. I also got a set of fitted sheets in brown, from the T-sheet series.

I spent a bomb on this but without the convenient discount, I probably won’t have gotten anything at all.

Yay, new sheets!

After we came out of Ta Kiong this afternoon, Fariah and I were approached by a promoter for Libresse, a new sanitary napkin that have only been in the market for two months. The lady asked us if we heard of it and I said no, mainly because I’ve been using cloth pads I got from Tiny Tapir most of this year.

We found out that Libresse is from the makers of Pampers, at which Fariah turns to me and said, “It’s adult Pampers!”

But hey, it’s free shit (pun not intended) so I traded in my privacy and received a box of samples. They also had a personality quiz, which we both took, and were rewarded with a print out “bookmark” with our results on it.

I’m a Melancholic, which means I’m depressed but creative, classy but suspicious. Fariah took one look at my card and burst out laughing.

“No wonder we’re such good friends!” she said.

Not surprisingly, she’s a Choleric and the quiz is right about us being bosom buddies. We strolled off with our pad samples and our cards, knowing that we didn’t need a quiz to tell us what we already knew but it’s nice to be acknowledged by a machine anyway.
