So far, the forecast for Parsons, WV is good. we're looking at mid 70s to mid 80's the whole week. Only Saturday there is a chance of a passing storm. If that doesn't change much, we are gonna be fairly set down there.

I won't be around Tuesday. I need to finalize packing Tuesday after work. After that it leaves me no time, considering I need to get to bed early (9) because I need to be up at 3am.

Also, knowing how giddy I'm gonna be, I won't be able to sleep Tuesday night. This means I'm gonna have to down a few beers.

My car doesn't have an "E," only an "R" for "reserve" which is the 2.5 gallons I mentioned earlier. So even on a lot of modern cars with "E," it really doesn't mean E. Besides, it's not good to rely on the gas gauge 100% - it's only really an approximate measurement. In the "old" days gas gauges were much more unreliable, and you had to go by your odometer more so than your gas gauge to figure out when you needed more fuel.

this topic has been talked about alot. it depends on what engine you have (straight, V, flat) but usually you can launch quickly and efficiently under 1500. you should only be launching at 1500 if you have a very low amount of torque at low rpms. i have a 85 hp truck, a straight 4 engine with 2.2 liters of displacement that has a GVW of 4460 lbs and i launch at about 1200-1300.
