Breaking News! Undercover Investigation Of Planned Parenthood And Statutory Rape

In a recently recorded undercover phone conversation to Planned Parenthood of New Mexico, a 14-year-old minor schedules an abortion which is legal in New Mexico without parental consent or notification. In addition to that, the minor explains that her boyfriend is 21, and he is worried that he might get in trouble.

This constitutes statutory rape and should be reported to authorities, however, the Planned Parenthood employee assures the minor that they probably won't report it. The employee states, "It's something we see often." How "often" does statutory rape occur with the knowledge of Planned Parenthood? If Planned Parenthood found a huge problem with statutory rape they wouldn't touch this situation, but they make it sound that it's an everyday occurrence that can be discussed with the doctor.

Tara Shaver of Project Defending Life alerts all of New Mexico: "It's no surprise that Planned Parenthood continues to cover up for rapists since they profit from these lucrative abortions, but in New Mexico where abortion has no restrictions whatsoever, the point needs to be made that young girls are being sexually exploited and abortion doctors in this state are complicit!"

The Heart of Abortion is "Abortion on Demand and Without Apology!"

If we want abortion to end we must strike at the heart of abortion and the rebellion of women from God that produces the demand for abortion. While most pro-lifers rightly focus on women who are pressured into abortion, pro-lifers often neglect to focus on the heart of the pro-abortion position and the women who scream..."Abortion on Demand and Without Apology!"

Pro-Life Christians also rightly focus on the violation of God's Law when it comes to abortion that states: Do not murder (Ex.20:13; Deut. 5:17) , but neglect God's Word and His design and role of mother's to work in the home and teach their children (Titus 2:5, Deut. 11:19). Abortion is not about "Women's Health," but abortion is the greatest violation of what it means to be a woman and the destroyer of her body, mind, and soul! Abortion is about control and selfishness. If an "unwanted pregnancy" threatens to derail a woman's agenda to work outside of the home and her career, then abortion is the only solution.

This is best articulated from the mouth of the nation's most notorious late-term abortionist Curtis Boyd who states the driving factor that motivated him to become an abortionist: "What drove me was the knowledge that an unplanned pregnancy could ruin a woman's life. I realized that when it came to pregnancy, women were at a significant disadvantage."

This is the true heart of women who demand abortion and the most neglected by pro-life Christians!

Until mother's embrace their God-created identity and role in the home, they will continue to demand the ability to shirk their responsibility only accessible by having access to abortion. Sin is a heart condition. Sin is selfishly rebelling against God's laws (1 John 3:4), believing that we know how to better live our lives. This rebellion and lawlessness is what produces abortion; it produces women who think they know better and demand their own identity apart from the home and their God-given role as mothers. Mother's do not simply neglect their calling as a mother by choosing to abort their child's life after they have been conceived; mother's can also neglect their calling by neglecting their children after they are born by choosing their careers over their role in the home or by refusing to teach and raise their own children by sending them away from the home to be raised by complete strangers. Our place as mothers is in the home raising our children to love God above all, no one else can do it better.

We must redeem this aspect of our culture if we truly want to overcome the heart of abortion, "Abortion on Demand and Without Apology!"

We seem to realize and focus on the contribution of men who push abortion and abandon their role as fathers. Men do share in the culpability when they do. However the sole responsibility lies with the women who choose abortion. Let's not forget that this is not Communist China where women are dragged kicking and screaming and forced to get abortions! We must realize that we are the ones that willingly walk into abortion clinics and lie down and allow the abortionist to strip away all the dignity and beauty of what makes us unique as women. Abortion is the greatest violation of what only women can participate in, bringing new life into the world. Motherhood is a profound mystery, the greatest calling, and the most beautiful profession on the planet.

As mothers we do have the highest calling in the world; we are entrusted with the lives of future generations. We are entrusted also with the care, training, teaching and ministering of our children. God has given us great worth and our identity in God's eyes is immense. Why would we ever strive to liberate ourselves from this tremendous role as women? If we would simply conform our lives and our will to God's revealed calling as mothers, we would indeed live free from the burden that abortion brings and the burden that our careers outside of the home produces on our families. My prayer is that women will embrace their high calling with joy and thanksgiving.

Reflections On The Loss Of An Aborted Brother

This is a reflection I wrote early on to help others understand where I am coming from:

My Experiences as the Sibling of an Aborted Baby: My name is Renee, and I am the oldest of 5. Sadly, I've never met the youngest, a little boy (brother number 3) named Joseph Michael. He died by abortion when I was only 10, although I didn't find out until nearly 11 years later. My poor mom had to keep that secret for so long I've known for just over 6 years and am really struggling with it. I've come to the point where I realize that a lot of the issues I have are made much worse by what I went through regarding the abortion. While I have always been more of an internalizer, this is becoming harder, and I am starting to seek out healing. Easier said than done, I am discovering, as most post-abortion support groups only have programs for the parents. It is sincerely my prayer that more awareness will be brought to the suffering of the siblings. My siblings and I have had to silently deal with the pain of hearing people speak ill of women choosing an abortion. We know firsthand that sometimes it is done in a desperate time and to spare the baby from a life of suffering.

My mom was widowed in June of ’94, at the age of 30. I was 10, and the youngest, at the time (baby number 4), was only two. A few months later she met a man and became pregnant unexpectedly. I know very little about that time for her, as I was very young, and had no idea that my little brother was growing in her belly. But we were living with my grandparents, and I don’t know how they would've handled the news. Also, maybe my mom didn't feel capable of caring for yet another baby, who the doctor said may have health issues (from what I believe). While she knew it was wrong, she believed that the baby would be better off in heaven, free from suffering. While I hate that my mom (and brother) went through that, I admire her greatly for all the strength she has shown. She now understands what some of these women are going through when they consider abortion, and has used her experiences to help them choose life. She also has used the pain she feels over my brother to help those mourning the loss of their own babies, aborted or miscarried. I pray for the strength to one day be able to reach out to other siblings like myself. I have actually tried to avoid the pro-life movement, at times, mostly for two reasons: one, it makes me think more of my brother, and the horrible way he died, and two, I am very defensive of my mom, and am afraid that some of these people will judge her harshly. I also don’t want her to have to deal with any extra sadness or regrets. But as I said before, she is a very strong woman.

I have heard it said by quite a few people that my mom should keep the abortion secret. What about her reputation? In their view, it will make others decide to follow her, and do the same or turn against her, and stop trusting and/or respecting her. Well, I can speak for myself, my siblings and at least one very dear friend, that the exact opposite is true!! I hate that she had to bear that by herself for so long, and am so grateful that she told us. It has made her a more compassionate, sympathetic, less judgmental person. It made me listen more when she was talking about pro-life things, or prayers and sympathy for the abortive ones, knowing that she’s actually been in their position. She has come so far. I am also thankful she told us, because although we ended up going through unexpected mourning, we as siblings are now more aware of the horror of abortion. All these years I never knew we were personally touched by it.

As I said, finding out caused such shock and grief. I remember the night that she told us; we were all talking in the living room, because she said she had something important to discuss. I remember my heart started pounding, more and more. We were shocked to discover that she had been pregnant after the fourth baby. Our dad had died, and there were only four of us children with her, so where was the last one? Did I have a sibling given up for adoption, that I could possibly reconnect with (as went through my head at times while watching or reading about it), or did she miscarry? Abortion never crossed my mind, because we knew she was so against it. But she admitted that that is what happened. I did not give into the tears that threatened, as I have always been very guarded with my emotions. Very quickly the four of us went up to her and hugged her, comforted her, and assured her that we loved her. We found out a few things, such as the father, and the date. Apparently, the anniversary was only a few weeks away. In just a few weeks, Valentine’s Day to be exact, it would be 11 years since that horrible event. Apparently she chose that night, because going out then would not likely arouse suspicion. Years later it brought me such pain to think that that night before she left, when I gave her a hug, I also hugged my little brother inside, but the next time I hugged her, it was just her alone. How sad she must have been. And how innocent and unaware I was.

For a while after finding out, I had such a deep sadness that I could not identify at first. I felt like I did when I lost one of my nursing home friends, but nobody had recently died. What was up? Then I realized it was my brother. I was grieving the loss of a little sibling, that up until then had not existed (that I was aware of). How strange. How could I possibly feel so strongly for someone I never met, or even knew about? As I mentioned before, I am not an emotional person, so these feelings were extra unappreciated. I felt stupid for grieving 11 years later. He was long gone. I shouldn't feel anything. But, that’s not how it works. Over time, I felt that sadness less frequently, but still, 6 years later I feel twinges at times. I have also, at times, felt completely at peace with our situation, and at other times, have seriously forgotten about him. That, I believe, is often a defense mechanism.

Whether I am thinking about him or not, I noticed that I am more sensitive to some things than I was before. For example, I feel pain/jealousy seeing others becoming big brothers and sisters. I experienced that three times, only, and never will again. I am also very sensitive to my youngest brother being complimented, etc., by mom; feeling like he is getting the bulk of the attention, because he is the last “baby” she’ll have. Deep down, I know it is false, but it is still a frequent struggle. Another struggle is forgiving/moving on. When I first found out about my brother, I can’t remember much about how I felt about his father. As I've gotten older, though, I have felt so betrayed by him. We loved him like a stepfather for quite a few years. How dare he try to take care of us, and help raise us, when he didn't even keep his own flesh and blood alive. This was especially hard for me to come to terms with, because I, too, was conceived out of wedlock. But my dad did the right thing and married my mom (before I was born). It just feels strange. Why was I okay to keep, but my brother wasn't? I have made great progress in this area, but still have need of more healing.

This is only a small bit of my experiences as a sibling of an aborted baby, but I am sharing this in the hopes that others can be comforted knowing that they are not alone. Or perhaps a sibling like me will be in denial, and reading my story, they will realize their need for healing, and get it. My prayer is that we can feel at least some of the peace that our siblings do, as they await our arrival in heaven. What a nice meeting that will be, and while we had the misfortune of being separated on earth, we will have all eternity to catch up! To any parents reading this, please give your kids the benefit of the doubt, and tell them about their lost sibling(s). It may strengthen your relationship as it did ours. You shouldn't have to keep your baby(ies) a secret. For those who are not directly affected, I thought I would give you a small idea what we are going through, in case you happen to connect with us.

I am also sharing my stories about being apart from the pro-life movement, and how I feel about abortion-minded/post-abortive people and the graphic images. I hope there can be more peace between both the pro-life and pro-choice sides. I especially want to do my part to reach out to hurting siblings. A Rebuttal To Ten Pro-Abortion Arguments

I ran across a top ten list from a pro-abortion website that was being used by someone making comments on a pro-life article. This inspired me to compose a rebuttal. I’m afraid the American public has become complacent, undiscerning, and easily duped by what they read on social media and other internet sites. I hope you will take the time to read and see what is being passed off as facts by our opposition, and what I have taken the time to research. If you have time, please read some of the articles that are linked, to arm yourself with a more detailed understanding of the facts. We must always be prepared to give a coherent reason for the pro-life stance that we take! I know it’s a lot to read, but I hope you might learn something new. Thanks for taking the time and making the effort! It’s the least we can do to save babies, their mothers, and their families.

10. Laws against abortion do not stop abortion; they simply make it less safe. The number of women who get abortions does not change when it goes from being legal to illegal, or vice versa. The only thing that changes is more women die. Every year, 78,000 women die from unsafe abortions.

10. Making abortion illegal DEFINITELY makes abortion rarer. If it had been legal in 1958 my best friend probably would have been aborted in a heartbeat. And the people who would have encouraged her parents to do it, for economic and health reasons, would have thought that they were doing what was best for the other three children. Please tell that to her husband, and her two kids, and any children they will have down through the generations.

Where do you get your 78,000 figure for annual deaths due to illegal abortions? You should know that prior to his death, Bernard Nathanson admitted that they used completely ficticous numbers when they gave testimony for Roe v. Wade. "Repeating the big lie often enough convinces the public. The number of women dying from illegal abortions was around 200-250 annually. The figure we constantly fed to the media was 10,000." I would argue that they aren't any more ethical now! “A study published in the International Journal of Women’s Health determined that figures published by the Alan Guttmacher Institute (AGI) estimating the numbers of illegal abortions dwarf the actual figure of legal abortions tenfold. Likewise, researchers discovered that AGI purposefully includes women who died from ectopic pregnancies, miscarriage, and assault in their calculations of illegal abortion-related mortality. While the former could be dismissed as gross incompetence, the latter can only be explained as intentional deception. Actual figures have been reported since abortion was decriminalized in 2007 and discredit not only AGI estimates for illegal abortions and abortion-related mortality in

Mexico

9. If people want to stop abortion, they should turn to methods that do work. These include comprehensive sex education and safe, affordable contraceptives. Unfortunately, as illogical as it sounds, the people who are most against abortion are also often most against these preventative measures. If they truly wanted to reduce the number of abortions that occur, they would embrace these methods.

9. We have more sex education, more free contraceptives, and more ways to contracept than at any other time in history. Why does the abortion rate stay the same? Because contraception only works as well as the user. Even with perfect use no contraception is 100%. Contraception use increases promiscuity which, in turn, requires abortion to cover up/eliminate unwanted pregnancies. I would add that a contraception mentality (children are a burden) has contributed greatly to abortion and the devaluation of all life.

8. The politicians “pro-lifers” so ardently support are only after one thing: self-interest. The majority of them are not “pro-life” because they agree with you; they are because they know you will continue to vote for them—and they know that making women remain pregnant not only takes away their power, but it also keeps them busy, in line, controlled, as well as a baking factory for their failing economy. The more people they have to rule over, the more they have to work and buy. Period.

8. Huh? The exact opposite is true! When you can trot a woman down to the nearest "clinic" and have her baby killed, then you are devaluing her and having power over her. Abortion is a soul-killing act. 64% of all women who abort state that they felt pressured into it. I have talked to many women who regret their abortions, but never have I met a woman who changed her mind who ever said she wished she had had one. What I hear instead is that they can’t imagine their lives without this child. Women are inherently in their nature nurturing. Abortion completely goes against all that is natural for women.

7. Religious ideology is no foundation for any law. Freedom of religion is guaranteed to any citizen in the United States; so why would the beliefs and values of one religion mandate actual laws for all citizens? It would be unfair, unjust and immoral. We do not have laws against eating fish, nor do we have laws that declare it is legal to sell one’s daughter, rape someone, or keep a person as a slave—all things that are promoted in religious text.

7. Opposing abortion can be done on a purely scientific basis. We know when life begins and that that life is fully human. Really the only question becomes, which lives are seen as having less value than others, therefore making it possible to kill them indiscriminately?

6. Reproductive restrictions do not end with abortion. Many people also argue that contraception itself is wrong—another mainly-religious philosophy—and will deny women the protection they need based on this belief. There are legislative acts that allow actual pharmacists to deny women their birth control because of their beliefs; does this not violate the Hippocratic Oath, especially if thousands of women are on birth control because their very lives depend on it (see #2)? Also, since it is my belief that men should not rape women, if I were a pharmacist, would I have a right to deny a man his Viagra just in case he uses it to rape? You never know.

6. Let me push my way through all this straw. Ever heard of the conscience clause? Everyone is more than welcome to go somewhere else to get the contraception they want. Pharmacists and doctors are required by law to refer people to other facilities where they can get the contraceptives/abortions they want. Does The First Amendment, freedom to practice one's religion, sound at all familiar? I'm fine with someone not filling a Viagra prescription if that is against their conscience, but on the other hand my taxes pay for all kinds of contraception and abortion (New Mexico Medicaid). Viagra is used to treat a physical disease; fertility really isn't a disease. In very RARE instances birth control pills are used to PREVENT ovarian cancer, not treat or save a life. Very, very rarely women will have a condition that requires them to avoid pregnancy. I would argue that the modern method of Sympto-Theramal fertility awareness, with a 99% effective rate, is a viable alternative to artificial birth control. It has the added benefit of people who use it experiencing a 1.5% divorce rate, as opposed to the overall national rate of 50%. http://www.ccli.org/nfp

5. Most people who are against abortion will never even become pregnant. If a law would never, in any circumstance, apply to a man, a man creating that law is preposterous. It is akin to men creating laws that ban women from voting, owning property, or showing skin in public—only much more deadly.

5. Again, you make an argument that presupposes that only pregnant women are involved in abortion. The baby is always killed, and 50% of the time that baby is a male. This is just a dumb argument. Of course, both men and women oppose abortion because it is the taking of a human life, and in doing so at the rate of 1.2 MILLION ANNUALLY, all other human life is devalued. We should all be concerned about that.

I have seen this argument used with increasing frequency lately. I am guessing it’s yet another tactic to take the debate off of what really goes on during an abortion, and keep the debate in the realm of catchy sound bites. Since the slogan “It’s a woman’s body” has been disproved by science (it’s a child’s body that gets destroyed), and the “It’s just a blob of tissue” has been completely obliterated by ever-improving ultrasounds, and finally, the “It doesn’t hurt anyone else” has pretty much played itself out on the evening news and is apparent in the total disregard for all human life in our society, I’m just assuming this is the next, and hopefully final, slogan to be trotted out.

4. Women who are raped or victims of incest should not be forced to carry out a pregnancy. Odds are that 1 in 3 women will be victims of sexual violence in her lifetime. Does this mean that 33% of all women should be forced to carry out a pregnancy from this violation? Considering how many people are killed during childbirth (see #2), should we allow this further risk to endured on top of what has already been done?

Many would argue that these women could endure the pregnancy, spending nearly a year of her life simply re-living the rape and its effects over and over again, to give up a baby at the end of it for adoption. However, we all are aware of the fact that there are millions of unwanted children awaiting adoption as we speak who remain unclaimed; in fact, UNICEF estimates that there are 210 million orphans in the world right now. If they have no one willing to be their parent or guardian, why would another baby have a better chance?

My theory is that people who spend so much time, energy, and money on anti-abortion campaigns should instead spend it on the precious children they say need saving so much—the ones who are alive and parentless. Imagine if all the funds spent on all those billboards and flyers and campaigns were instead either spent adopting or donating to places that are overrun with orphaned children… perhaps some actual credibility would be given to these people who claim to love children so much.

Also, there is the fact of the matter of the more than one million homeless youth in

America

alone. The number one factor for a child being homeless is physical or sexual abuse at home. Perhaps these “child-lovers” should step in and care for these already-born children as well.

4. Where to begin... Abortions due to rape or incest account for about 1.5% of all abortions. You are advocating for the 98.5% due to the 1.5%? Also, in the largest study ever done of women who became pregnant due to rape (it really is rare, it’s not 33% of women by any means) 69% chose not to abort. Of those women 0% regretted their decision! Of the 29% who did abort, 80% reported that abortion had been the wrong solution.

I don't know a single pro-life person that doesn't also donate to other causes, be it adoption, foster care, food banks, material goods for mothers and all their children, etc. We are a very generous bunch, and there is nothing in this for us materially. In fact, we are poorer (materially) due to our helping. Abortionists, on the other hand rake in LOTS of money. When you say things like this you use exactly the same arguments as Southern plantation owners did against Abolitionists. They argued that if slavery was abolished, every one who supported abolition should be required to give former slaves a job and supply them with housing. Of course, that didn't happen, but I don't think anyone would argue that fighting for and succeeding in abolishing slavery wasn't the best and only thing that could be done at that time in our nation's history - we are at just such a crossroads now!

As for adoption, in the U.S. there are currently 36 couples waiting for every 1 baby put up for adoption. The statistics you quote are worldwide where many of those babies who are abandoned become so due to their sex (do we really care about the baby women?) or the majority due to physical defects. They are unfortunate to be born into societies that don't value girls, or where medical and personal resources are lacking. Again, I know a (very pro-life) family who has adopted FOUR children from overseas, all of whom have cerebral palsy that ranges from mild to severe. They didn't have to do that to be able to speak out against abortion; however, they have the resources and are generous enough to do so, to the immense benefit of those 4 children.

3. Reproductive choice can be the only thing that stands between a woman and poverty. There is a reason that the 1 billion poorest people on the planet are female. In sub-Saharan Africa and west Asia, women typically have five to six children, which leaves them powerless to provide for not only their own families, but themselves.

3. Poverty is greatly exacerbated by corrupt governments, environmental disasters, wars, etc. The majority of poverty worldwide is not due to the lack of abortion. Moral poverty, that's another subject, which enables people to be treated as goods and not with any inherent worth, I would argue that that is the main cause of worldwide poverty.

In your example of the mother with 5 or 6 children, if she gets pregnant and can’t afford another mouth to feed, and she has a 2-year-old with physical disabilities or a long term illness, how about killing that one, who will obviously cost her more in effort and resources, and opt to let the unborn one live? If all we are talking about is alleviating poverty, and no religion or any of that silly moral stuff should come into play, what possible reason can you give to spare the two-year-old and take the unborn child’s life instead?

Many argue that abortion actually keeps women from getting the assistance they need: it masks the inequality that exists in the workplace, it masks abuse and neglect, and it keeps women from seeking the resources that would help them to get out of poverty. We offer GED training, parenting classes, help in finding community resources, help in reconciling with estranged family, and/or leaving abusive relationships, and we offer immediate material support and assist with job hunting for both parents, if needed.

2. Reproductive choice can be the only thing that stands between a woman and DEATH. Women who face deadly consequences of a pregnancy deserve to choose to live. Teen girls, whose bodies are not yet ready for childbirth, are five times more likely to die. Not only do 70,000 girls ages 15-19 die each year from pregnancy and childbirth, but the babies that do survive have a 60% higher chance of dying as well.

During my own pregnancy—which had been unexpected though joyful up to this point—I was horrified to learn that I had preeclampsia only 25 weeks in. While they were able to save both my daughter and me, she was born at 1 pound, three months premature, and was a medical miracle. Most babies at that weight do not survive; and if they do, they suffer severe complications—as do the mothers, including myself. I was then informed that my risk of it happening all over again was extremely high, and that if there were a next time I may not be so lucky. I am fortunate to have access to birth control, but many women—especially young ones—do not. Preeclampsia alone affects 10 to 15% of all women! There are hundreds of other complications that arise besides preeclampsia that can, and will, result in death as well.

Really, you have to question and research everything you cut and paste from internet sources! I'm thinking the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) have a lot less to gain from lying about pregnancy and delivery deaths than the industry that makes a HUGE profit off of keeping women ignorant and scared, enabling them to convince them to kill their unborn children more easily.

If the U.S. has approximately 6% of the world’s population, and the U.S. has 650 maternal deaths every year (and we’re told that we are actually on the high end of worldwide maternal death rates), how in the world can you possibly get a number like 70,000 annual deaths of 15-19 year-olds alone? (Hint: take 650 divided by .06 and you get 10,833.) You must be using Guttmacher mathematics! (See #10) I would argue that maternal deaths in third world countries, where the highest rates exist, are exacerbated by lack of proper medical facilities, absence of emergency medical care, and the prevalence of unsanitary conditions. Increasing abortions for women under these circumstances will not change the danger they encounter. Instead, the U.S. government and others should insure that the billions of dollars in aid being sent to these countries are being used to address these fundamental problems, and not being siphoned off by corrupt officials or being used to purchase weapons or conduct wars and genocides. Killing poor people to alleviate their suffering just makes absolutely no sense! (See #3.)

Speaking of teenagers and their bodies not being prepared for something, your risk of breast cancer increases by at least 50% if you have an induced abortion before your first full-term pregnancy. Until you have reached 32-weeks gestation, your breast tissue is in a state that makes it more susceptible to cancer cells developing. An induced abortion leaves a young woman with much more breast tissue that is not cancer resistant like milk producing cells. “1) Women under the age of 18 or over the age of 29 who obtained induced abortions have more than a twofold increase in risk.”

Twofold, that’s 100%; a family history carries only an 80% increased risk. Consider the recent increase of breast cancer, especially in younger women; it used to be something you saw only in women over 50.

1. Doctors, not governments, should always be the people to make medical recommendations and opinions. Would you allow the government to tell you if you could have a kidney transplant or a blood transfusion? Of course not. The fact that we even consider, let alone allow, governments to regulate a medical procedure is both illogical and foolish.

1. DOCTORS Kermit Gosnell, Leroy Carhart, Nicole Riley. Need I say more? Well, actually I will: tattoo parlors, hair and nail salons, restaurants, bakeries, hell, even street food vendors have to abide by certain regulations and submit to periodic inspections. You think that facilities that perform surgeries as invasive as abortion should at least be held to the same standards as say the veterinarian clinic that you take your cat or dog or ferret to? Well, currently in most states they aren't. Do you know why? Because those organizations who are SO concerned about women's welfare (and who make HUGE profits from doing abortions on the cheap) fight such common sense regulations with piles of money and hours of human effort!

Please, take time to do your research, and if possible, find women who have actually gone through the horror and the aftermath of abortion and find out the truth about it first hand. Women like us have nothing to gain by putting ourselves out there; we don't do it for profit, we do it to help other women from making the same mistake we did, which once done can never be undone. And, we do it to save the lives of innocent children who are being slaughtered. More developed babies are being given fatal heart attacks, smaller ones are being torn apart and pulled out in pieces, and the smallest ones are being crushed and mangled as they are sucked out through tubes. This butchery happens at a rate of 3,288 per day, in the U.S. alone. This is the single issue, superseded only by our call to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, that we should be using our time, talent, and treasure to expose and end!

Have Churches, Pastors, And Pro-Life Non-Profits Sold Out?

I am relatively new to the pro-life movement; I have been actively pro-life for only 5 years. What I lack in years to the movement I have made up for in experience! I have toured to the county visiting over 180 colleges and high schools with the Survivor’s Campus Life Team and my wife, Tara, and I worked as interns for Operation Rescue, “One of the leading pro-life Christian activist organizations in the nation.” For the past 3 years I have been working in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with Project Defending Life and reaching out at the nation’s most notorious late-term abortion mill in the country, Southwestern Women’s Options. I have been out on the street 4-5 days a week during the past 3 years. If you add all of my time spent doing activism over the past 5 years, simply put, my job description would say: Full-Time Pro-Life Activist!

From an activist perspective, the role and need for protesting is a no-brainer! We know our ROLE…and we do it WELL! However, when it comes to other pro-lifer’s and especially other Christians, “protesting” can be a bad word, especially if you are talking to pastors or church leadership. Why is that? Weren't most of the leaders of the Civil Rights Movement pastors? Martin Luther King Jr. was a pastor of the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church. In fact, “A major reason for the movement’s success was its religious leadership.”

Fast-forward to America in 2013 as we are facing the greatest injustice of our generation. Abortion and protesting are the last things churches and pro-life organizations want to “touch with a ten foot pole!” In fact, some pro-life organizations explicitly forbid their volunteers from protesting! Normally, I just bite my tongue and continue moving ahead realizing that each organization has its place and its unique strategy, and we are all advancing the cause and goal. However, for these people, protesting is not viewed in the same way, and in some eyes, it is the one strategy that should be eliminated.

What has changed in the past 40 years? What pressure has been placed on churches, pastors, and pro-life non-profit organizations that make them shy away from exercising one of the most fundamental constitutional rights in this country; a right that so many have defended and paid for with their lives to leave for this generation - the right to peacefully assemble?

I have been baffled and racking my brain over the past 5 years trying to find an answer to this vexing conundrum, and finally it has all become so clear over the past week. I think I have the answer. Quoting a recent LifeNews.com article, “[The IRS] was refusing to grant nonprofit tax status to ______ unless it agreed to limit its “picketing” and “protesting” of Planned Parenthood.” Again, “Your application’s ready to go. However, it will not be approved until you send a letter signed by your entire board under penalty of perjury saying that you will not protest at Planned Parenthood.”

Have churches, pastors and pro-life non-profits sold out? Do they fear man and not God?

Quite possibly, churches, pastors, and pro-life organizations are afraid of losing their 501c3 tax-exempt status. This may be the answer to the million-dollar question!

The most frustrating thing about all this is that it doesn't have to be the legacy we leave for posterity! Our churches and pastors in 2013 should learn from the past and realize what the religious leadership of the Civil Rights Era accomplished! They peacefully took to the streets in protest and ended the greatest injustice of their generation! PROTEST is the key. Protest is what ended that injustice, and protest is what will end this injustice. The duty to protest must not be sold down the river. The right to protest is our birthright in America!

Fear God, Never Man! (Matt. 10:28). We are ending abortion one woman, one child, one day at a time. After all, abortion is a heart issue that the church, pastors, and pro-lifer’s must personally speak to on a daily basis. Join me in protest. I will see you on the front lines…Activist Out!

Special Mother's Day Event In Front Of Late-Term Abortion Facility

The sidewalk in front of the the late-term abortion facility in Albuquerque, New Mexico, was the setting on Friday for a special Mother's Day event. Over 60 people turned out for the Mother's Day Rally and Outreach in front of Southwestern Women's Options, and many showed up with homemade signs and also had flowers for the women going in.

Organizers Bud and Tara Shaver summed it up as follows:

"A lot goes into planning a successful event: buying flowers, making bouquets, getting all the literature that is passed out, signs, sending out event details, radio interviews, media press releases, etc. With all the focus on the ministry directed at the women driving in and all the people driving by and the community at large, I was most struck today by how this event was successful as a ministry to us; those on the sidewalk, the pro-life community! So many people connected with each other and realized the friends of friends that connect us all! Everyone walked away uplifted, encouraged and wanting to do this again.

All in all, this event was a success for us, the pro-life community, and I look forward to all that God has in store for this city as we each step out in faith and commit to seeing lives changed and forever saved as we minister to this city and to one another. To God be the glory!

Albuquerque, NM — Abortionist Kermit Gosnell is currently awaiting a verdict from the jury for a host of criminal charges and five counts of murder including the murders of four viable late term babies who were born alive after illegal late-term abortions. What he did to these babies has shocked the nation, but his actions are really business as usual at abortion clinics around the country.

The horrific crimes that took place at Kermit Gosnell’s abortion clinic have put a spotlight on the barbaric act of late-term abortion. However, the crimes committed in Pennsylvania are not isolated incidents. In fact, Albuquerque, New Mexico is home to one of the nation’s most high profile late-term abortion clinics, Southwestern Women’s Options, which doles out to women the same late-term procedure that Gosnell subjected his patients to, with only one difference; in Pennsylvania it was illegal to kill babies after 24 weeks but in New Mexico it is legal to kill a baby up to the day of birth.

In fact, New Mexico provides no restrictions whatsoever on abortion.

There are many troubling similarities between what took place in Philadelphia’s “House of Horrors” and what is currently taking place in Albuquerque’s House of Pain.

An eyewitness saw New Mexico late-term abortionist Shelly Sella stab a baby to death after the baby was born alive during an abortion…an act for which Kermit Gosnell is currently facing the death penalty.

Horrific abortion injuries in New Mexico have been documented beginning in 2008. These injuries have been reported to the authorities, as were injuries suffered by Gosnell patients, who had a history of injuring women going back before Roe v. Wade.

Complaints were filed with the NM Medical Board regarding 11 abortion injuries at Southwestern Women’s Options, Albuquerque’s late term abortion clinic. The Board’s initial response was to resist any investigation just like the Pennsylvania authorities turned a blind eye to complaints about Gosnell. Out of the 11 New Mexico complaints, only one was investigated, that of a 35-week abortion that resulted in the ruptured uterus. Abortionist, Shelly Sella however, got away scot-free. Subsequent complaints that have been filed after several more botched abortions have been outright denied investigations. This same lack of attention to public complaints in Pennsylvania created an atmosphere where Gosnell could thrive.

Abortion clinics in Albuquerque are never inspected by the Department of Health. These “clinics” are exempt from the Ambulatory Surgical Center classification and therefore abortionists do whatever they want under no scrutiny or accountability. In Pennsylvania, Gosnell’s clinic was not inspected for 17 years. When abortion clinics are not inspected, abortion abuses flourish.

New Mexico has a criminal abortion statute that has never been enforced. This statute states that post viability abortions are to be done in an accredited hospital. Instead, dangerous outpatient clinics that have no immediate access to emergency care, such as Southwestern Women’s Options and Gosnell’s Women’s Medical Society, conduct risky procedures in settings that simply are not safe.

Contributing to the problem of lack of oversight and accountability, New Mexicans are also forced to pay for abortions via state dollars amounting to over 1 million dollars in 2011. This money keeps abortion clinics that no one has ever inspected operating at maximum capacity.

From Governor Martinez on down New Mexico is full of apathetic leaders, legislators and authorities that are placing women’s lives at risk, just as the irresponsible regulators in Pennsylvania did when they refused to do their duty to rein in Gosnell’s corrupt abortion enterprise.

An extremely noteworthy and disturbing fact that Cheryl Sullenger, of Operation Rescue, uncovered and reported on during the Gosnell trial is that 13% of the digoxin injections being given in New Mexico during late term abortions fail. If the drug is injected into the amniotic sac instead of the fetus, the failure rate on the first try can be as astronomically high as 70 percent.

This injection is designed to cause a fetal heart attack in order to ensure “fetal demise” prior to the expulsion of the baby. It is utilized by abortionists at Southwestern Women’s Options in Albuquerque every week. Many questions logically follow this discovery. What happens at Southwestern Women’s Options 13% of the time when these injections fail and viable babies are born alive, what is your protocol? When the injections fail and the baby is born alive, what care is given the newborn infant? Or are Gosnell-like protocols in place to secretly handle the live-birth “complication”?

All across the country undercover recordings are proving that Gosnell’s practice of carelessness and callousness is not isolated. What does the Gosnell trial and verdict mean for those of us in New Mexico? While there are many similarities, there are also differences — differences in statute and funding.

“The gruesome details of abortion abuses we have seen throughout the Gosnell trial will one day come to light here in New Mexico. Those who have been apathetic or have refused to act will ultimately be held accountable,” stated Bud Shaver of Project Defending Life.

The lack of enforcement of the law is not helpful to women. The blind eye turned by the Medical Board and Department of Health does not benefit the public. What will it take to protect women and children from the horrors of late-term abortion? Will Governor Martinez take notice when a woman dies in New Mexico or when a full-term baby is murdered after being expelled alive after a late-term abortion? When may we expect those in God-given positions of authority to take notice and pursue justice? In New Mexico, while women daily risk their lives at unaccountable and dangerous abortion clinics, we continue to wait for an answer.

In all three videos there is the theme: "If the baby is born alive, we will just ignore it so it will die." I know many find this shocking, but I do not. If a doctor or clinic personnel perform abortions every day, and especially if the unborn child is in the second or third trimester, they are totally desensitized to what life really is. Their goal is to kill the unborn baby, and if it happens to be alive after the abortion, it seems a "normal" reaction to continue the same path. Are they supposed to all of a sudden take a 180 degree turn and have a conscience and proclaim, "We must save this baby because it's twitching." “If it did come out in one piece, it’s very small. So they would still have to put it in a container – like, a jar – with solution and send it to the lab.”

When asked what happens if the baby after the abortion is breathing or twitching, the Bronx counselor responds:

On June 19th 2011, in northern New Mexico, my older brother Lloyd, my sister-in-law Dixie and 22-year-old nephew Steven, were Brutally MURDERED in Cold Blood, in the middle of the night with a pickaxe. As the last year has dragged on, the killer(s) are still at large, and there are NO answers or credible leads to solve this cold case. I've had a LOT of time to ponder many thoughts.

The odds of me ever meeting someone that can truly relate to this Horrific Crime are pretty slim. Someone may say to me, for example: "I lost three family members in a bad car accident" or "lost three family members to a deadly disease." I'm not saying that is not a major loss to them. What I am saying is that my odds are slim for me to "meet" someone with a similar loss as our family has lived through this last year and no justice as of yet.

A few months before I received the news that they were murdered, I had started to volunteer at the local pregnancy center in my hometown of Clovis, New Mexico. Needless to say, I put it on hold. In March of 2013 the director of the center nudged me again to get involved, and I did. I became the administrator of their Fan Page on Facebook and got out the info for their first 5K fundraiser. It was a huge success!

As the administrator of their page, I started to do some research on abortion. I have ALWAYS been pro-life, but now I found myself questioning . . . "Why Am I Pro-Life?" I've been a born-again Christian most of my life and my father was a preacher. I got pregnant at 16 1/2. At that age, I can honestly say I had no clue there was such a thing as abortion! My son just turned 30 years old on June 18th.

I have now found my "Cause" . . . I am not only Pro-Life; I am A Voice For Unborn Babies!

Murder is Murder!

A year ago, three of my family members were MURDERED, against "Their Will", brutally with a pickaxe. Unborn babies are being MURDERED by the thousands EVERY DAY against "Their Will" by being aborted! Irresponsible Men Real Reason Abortion Continues at a High Level

"Be a real man!"

There has always been so much focus on the women that are going into abortion facilities, but why are they there in the first place? There are obviously some women who just want to get rid of the "problem" no matter if everyone in their lives are telling them not to have an abortion. Of course, there are some situations where the man doesn't want the woman to have an abortion but she has one anyway. Unfortunately, our system is not set up to protect his rights in the matter. But I believe that most of those heading in to destroy the life of their unborn child wouldn't be there if they had the support from their boyfriend/husband who, of course, had so much to do with them being in that situation. These so-called "men" see an easy way out where they won't have to pay child support or even have any permanent ties with the woman that is pregnant. Some threaten their girlfriend that if she has the child then the relationship is over, but often it doesn't last anyway.

Then you have the case where the father of the pregnant girl brings her in to have an abortion. One would think that someone older and supposedly more mature would realize the horror of abortion and, on top of that, he is participating in the death of his grandchild. Sickening!

As always, what is forgotten in the situation? The unborn human. Through the myriad of reasons that abortion occurs, it's obvious that the rights of the unborn are ignored by these men.

What do others have to say about men and abortion?

Bud Shaver, who is often out in front of the late-term abortion mill in Albuquerque has the following observations:

"Women in our country are abandoned by the courts, by their friends, family and by the men in their lives. If the courts, their friends, family, and the men in their lives would simply affirm and stand for life, then abortion would never be an option. While I am out at the late-term abortion clinic, Southwestern Women's Options, I see more men holding their wives or girlfriends purses, than their hands. The men are only there to drop these women off and pick them up. Men carrying purses just about sums up the men of our country; they have lost their voice and don't know that it is just as much their responsibility to protect these women and their own children from the tragic repercussions of abortion."

Susan Shannon of Short Little Rebel shares her views of abortion and the role men and parents play. Here is a sampling of the article.

The site Evidence For God discusses how the Bible has been ignored.

"Why have men abandoned their responsibilities to women? One of the primary reasons why men have adopted these attitudes is that they were never taught otherwise by their parents. Biblical moral principles and biblical teaching about God's plan for human sexuality have been ignored and claimed to be "old fashioned" and "irrelevant." The result has been a generation of men who think that women are to be manipulated into being their sexual servants and abandoned when no longer useful in that capacity."

"The solution to the abortion problem lies in the obedience of Church to follow the teachings of Jesus and proclaim those teachings to others. The Church⁴must not be a reflection of society, but a reflection of Jesus Christ. The Church must proclaim the biblical view of human sexuality. The Church must also start to do the two most important commandments:

Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." (Matthew 22:37-40)

The Church, who claims to love God, could do a lot better job of performing the second greatest commandment."

One of the authors of Raising Real Men wrote the following article entitled Real Men and Abortion. Here are a few excerpts:

Ugh. Not the kind of man we want our sons to grow up to be. So, how do we make sure they don’t?

Teach your sons that sexuality outside of marriage is wrong. “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” (Matt. 5:27-28)

Teach your sons that marriage is a good thing. “He who finds a wife finds a good thing, And obtains favor from the Lord.” (Prov. 18:22)

Teach your sons that men must take care of their wives and children. “But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” (1 Tim. 5:8)

Teach your sons that life begins at conception. “Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying: ‘Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you’ …” (Jer. 1:4-5a)"

Gosnell's Trial Finally Getting Some National Attention

The ongoing trial of Dr. Kermit Gosnell is finally garnering some national attention. Rep. Chris Smith, a New Jersey Republican, describes Dr. Kermit Gosnell's "house of horrors" in a speech on the floor of the House of Representatives. He also lashed out at the mainstream media for the absence of coverage of the trial. “If Dr. Gosnell had walked into a nursery and shot seven infants with an AR-15, it would be national news and the subject of presidential hand-wringing.” Since this speech, a twiiter barrage on Friday by pro-lifers woke up some in the media and even resulted in a few apologies. Also, as a consequence of the twitterfest the case was extensively covered on Friday's show Anderson Cooper 360 on CNN.

The following information and photos are from the grand jury report:

"Medical waste and fetal remains were supposed to be picked up weekly by a licensed disposal provider. Gosnell, however, did not pay his bills in a timely manner, and the disposal provider would not pick up – sometimes for months. In the interim, and as the search team discovered during the February 18 raid, freezers at the clinic were full of discarded fetuses, and medical waste was piled up in the basement."

"When investigators raided the clinic in February 2010, they sent the fetuses they discovered to the Philadelphia medical examiner’s office. The medical examiner concluded that two of them – aborted at 26 and 28 weeks – were viable, and another, aborted at 22 weeks, was possibly viable. The 28-week fetus, a male (Baby Boy B) had a surgical incision on the back of the neck, which penetrated the first and second vertebrae. The 22-week fetus, female, had a similar incision."

"The neonatologist viewed a photograph of Baby Boy A. Based on the baby’s size, hairline, muscle mass, subcutaneous tissue, well-developed scrotum, and other characteristics, the doctor opined that the boy was at least 32 weeks, if not more, in gestational age. Gosnell simply noted the baby boy’s size by joking, as he often did after delivering a large baby. According to Cross, the doctor said: “This baby is big enough to walk around with me or walk me to the bus stop.”

"Gosnell also wrote in his letter to Dr. Hellman that he had injected the fetus with Digoxin the day before the birth, in order to cause fetal demise before the intended abortion procedure. The medical examiner, however, testified that he found no indication that the fetus had, in fact, been injected with Digoxin. The autopsy did not reveal anyuncture wound from an injection, nor was Digoxin evident in the toxicology screen. Based on scalp hemorrhage, the medical examiner concluded that the fetus had died during labor, possibly from the strong contractions that would have resulted from the heavy doses of labor-inducing medications. Dr. Hellman opined that Nancy’s baby was viable. The neonatologist told us that the survival rate for babies born at 29 weeks is 95 percent; at 30 weeks, the survival rate is nearly 100 percent."

The Left's Obsession With The Control And Indoctrination Of Our Children

The liberal ideology in America is to have total control of our children. Of course, first and foremost, is the obsession with abortion and fighting by all possible means to keep it legal. Then, for the lucky ones that survive the womb, practitioners of this philosophy want to take your child at the earliest age possible and put them in the liberal indoctrination prison known as the public school system. Thirty years ago it was basically the universities that were the bastion of this indoctrination, but now it has filtered down through all grades. Changes have come incrementally in the schools so there hasn't been a huge backlash from parents.

The number one way of making sure the brainwashing occurs is to have liberal indoctrination of the teachers first. A year ago I decided to take a few classes to get my teaching certificate for New Mexico. The first orientation class was a two-hour lesson in changing the traditional values and history that has made this country great. The first example given to the class was that our founding fathers were just a bunch of white slave owners, and then the professors summarized that the whole point of the teacher education was that we needed to find more examples like this. Upon further review of the first two textbooks for this endeavor, it was obvious that this would be the prominent theme throughout this 18-month group of courses. The instructors on the first night made it clear that if they didn't feel you were teacher material then you wouldn't be certified. With my busy schedule and my questioning nature I knew I wouldn't have the patience for this, so that's as long as I lasted. Part of me wishes I would have continued just so I could have confronted their beliefs on the values and history of America.

The Theft of Our Children

The radical social engineers have always known that in order to succeed with their coercive utopian agendas, they must take children away from families. Two and a half millennia ago Plato wrote extensively in his Republic about how children really belong to the state, and the education of children is the responsibility of the state, not parents. And this education must be compulsory for all children, he insisted.

The communists of course knew the value of breaking up the family and taking children away to brainwash them in the ideology of the state. Vladimir Lenin for example was quite proud to proclaim, “Destroy the family, destroy the nation.”

Hitler also knew this full well. He once said, “This new Reich will give its youth to no one, but will itself take youth and give to youth its own education and its own upbringing.” Nothing too subtle there: indoctrination must begin at an early age. Indeed, he also said, “Your child belongs to us already”.

All the totalitarians and statists have known how important this is: children must be stripped away from their parents and re-educated by the state. Sadly we have not learned the lessons of history here. The secular left in the West today still thinks the same way.

They still believe families are bad and that parents are oppressors. Children must be liberated from these outdated institutions and freed from their enslaving mothers and fathers and raised by an all-knowing and benevolent state. Or at least that is how they view things. Read more here.

Ten Random Thoughts About Abortion

1) The pro-abortion crowd screams from the rooftops about how the showing of graphic abortion images will damage children. But they are perfectly fine with destroying the lives of children in the womb.

2) We need to start taking back control of the language about the abortion issue. Pro-choice should be referred to as pro-abortion or pro-killing of the unborn

3) How do we get more people involved in the "saving lives" movement? Should we focus our efforts on the churches, which in general have totally ignored the issue? Should we bypass their silent leaders and go right to those in the pews? Should we protest outside of the churches to show them about the current-day Holocaust? Should we spend more time discussing the issue with our fellow citizens who are on the fence or really never think about abortion?

4) Never use the argument that if the unborn are aborted, then maybe the next Einstein, Gandhi, or Steve Jobs was just killed. The unborn have worth because they are human and not because of what they might accomplish. Plus, the other side could say that it's possible the next Hitler was just aborted so it was justified.

5) If you claim to be pro-life, what does that term mean to you? Does it mean that you are actively doing something to stop the killing? How many fervently support their sports team and are "pro" that team?  On the other hand, they claim they are pro-life but do nothing about the abortion issue?

6) Do you think those born with Down Syndrome should be given the same chance at life as the rest of society has, but you aren't fighting against abortion? Over 90% of those diagnosed with Down Syndrome in the womb are killed before they see the light of day.

7) All arguments supporting abortion basically come down to one factor: the belief that the tiny human should be killed because it's in a different location. Because once it's out of that location very few people would favor killing the human no matter what other circumstances existed.

8) It seems that the vast majority who favor homosexual marriage also support abortion. There is a constant drumbeat about equal rights, but they conveniently leave out the unborn. Also, if homosexuals are born that way, then they must have been that way in the womb.   Logic then dictates that a certain percentage of those killed in the womb are gay. How then can one be a supporter of both homosexuality and abortion?

9) Go out of your comfort zone to save a life.

10)  The negative reactions of others to your pro-life discussions or activities should not dictate whether you continue on the same pro-life course. If you receive a negative response, then it shows that you are effective; you are making them think about the issue and possibly questioning their own beliefs.
