What is your reason?

Oh, I see. You just don't have any need for this baby in your life right now. Right now you're broke, and your boyfriend doesn't want you to have the baby. It's hard enough taking care of the child you already have, so another one will be a burden on you.

Oh, I see. Your unborn baby was just diagnosed with Down Syndrome. That will be too hard on you to raise a child with a disability. Your husband and you ask: What quality of life will it have?

Oh, I see. It will be too hard going to school and having a baby. You say that there is only one year left for you at college. If you have to take time off for the baby, you could lose your scholarship. It is just a mistake.

Oh, I see. Everyone wants the perfect situation to bring a child into this world. Define perfect. How many of those that are married and in a "stable" environment find it difficult to raise a child? Even when the mother stays home, is raising a child easy and always perfect? So you are saying that a child with Down Syndrome or another not "normal" condition shouldn't be given a chance at life. But nobody is claiming that you, with all of your imperfections, should be exterminated. So you can't find any help for you while you go to school or work and have a newborn? Really? If you have to take a semester off of school, ten years from now you probably won't even remember you took longer to get your degree, but you will have a ten-year-old child. If you do have an abortion, ten years from now, odds are that you won't forget that you killed your unborn child.

So it comes down to selfishness and wanting to be your own God. In fact, it's the ultimate in selfishness. You want to kill another just because they are intruding on the way you want to live your life. Do parents kill their newborn or toddler because they intrude on their way of life? If suddenly one of the parents loses their job, do they kill their child? Even though they may be very selfish, they do not destroy the life of the child? Of course, there are extreme examples where this occurs, but that is not the norm.

So you don't want to bring a child into this world. In reality, rarely does one person's station in life stay the same. Usually the youth who have abortions do not have great resources to raise a child, but that does not mean they will stay in that situation their whole life. Obviously, there aren't any guarantees. Even those who are well off now, could lose everything. No matter what the situation, there isn't any reason that the unborn child should lose its life.

Subscribe in a reader

A Few Thoughts About Susan G. Komen And Planned Parenthood

My thoughts on the recent developments with the Susan G. Komen organization:

It really shows that Planned Parenthood and Barack Obama are clones by demonstrating they are thugs when they don't get their way. The one goal of both is to make sure there is no curtailment to the availability of killing unborn children. Any threat to this, however remote, has to be squashed. Even though this controversy was for breast exams, it was a loud announcement that if anyone dare try to cut funding to Planned Parenthood, they will be destroyed. Similarly, the Obama administration has threatened to cut off Medicaid funds to states that passed laws to defund Planned Parenthood.

Also, it really shows how pro-lifers can easily look like idiots by trusting people and organizations that at their core support the killing of unborn children. Pro-lifers were doing cartwheels when the so called pro-life Democrat Congressmen were standing up against Obamacare. They folded because they were Democrats first. At Komen's core, obviously, is the support of abortion. They wouldn't give money to Planned Parenthood in the first place if they didn't believe in abortion. It's apparent that Planned Parenthood's business of aborting babies doesn't faze Komen in the least. It also is obvious that any connection between breast cancer and abortion is unimportant to them. Once again, pro-lifers jumped for joy with the defunding announcement, but then had the rug pulled out from under them.

The Komen issue is a great learning tool about the lies that Planned Parenthood spews. If there is one penny cut from them, they are outraged and bring out the tired old line that women's health is in danger, and they would surely die because of this cut. Andy Moore states in his article, The Numbers Don’t Lie: Planned Parenthood, Komen, & Breast Exams, that Planned Parenthood would only lose less than 5% of their funding for breast exams with Komen's withdraw of funding.

Interestingly enough, sometimes Planned Parenthood is its own worst enemy. Hopefully, their overreaction to all of this will not make them look good in the court of public opinion. The Susan G. Komen foundation can put their money wherever they want. It doesn't owe Planned Parenthood a thing. If Planned Parenthood needs the money that bad, they should raise it themselves.

Subscribe in a reader

<link rel="alternate" type="text/html" href="http://www.standforlife.net/2012/02/few-thoughts-about-susan-g-komen-and.html" title="A Few Thoughts About Susan G. Hi, my name is Carrie Fischer, and I would like to share my story with you. Abortion almost claimed my life… BUT GOD!!! Miracle of all miracles, I survived an attempted abortion on my life…in other words, I am an abortion survivor!! My mother already had my two older siblings when she dated my birth father. One day she realized she was pregnant and told him. He told her he wanted nothing to do with the baby and walked out of the relationship. My mother was devastated and didn’t know what to do. She felt hopeless and abandoned and thought abortion was her only option. She went to a clinic and had an abortion procedure performed. She would soon find that the abortion had failed and that she was still pregnant. Then, on June 10th, 1969, I was born.

I would not learn about the abortion until I was in my teens, but I remember as a little girl, the recurring dreams I had of a baby in the womb fighting for its life. I could hear the cries and screams of this baby, and it frightened me. I had no idea that the baby I was dreaming about was me. The dreams continued for several years until my grandmother told me one day that my mother had tried to kill me, and that my birth father didn’t want me. I just couldn’t help but wonder what she was talking about. Why would my own mother want to kill me? I finally sat her down and asked her about all this, and mom started crying, and that’s when she explained to me about my birth father and the abortion.

Because of the effects of the abortion, I was born with a facial disfigurement. Doctors also told my mother that I wouldn’t be normal, and that I would be mentally retarded. Society had labeled me as ugly and unacceptable. I was made fun of all during school, and even the teachers made fun of me. I was a nobody and I didn’t matter. I was told I’d never have a normal life, never have a job, date, or get married and have a family. I thought I may as well just give up on any dreams. I’d never be much of anything anyways. I heard those lies so much, I believed them and they became my identity. I was bitter and angry. I hated life and I blamed God for all my pain and hurt. In my thirties, I attempted suicide. I swallowed a bottle of anti-depressants and drank a whole bottle of wine. I laid down hoping not to wake up. BUT GOD!!!

I woke up the next morning like I normally would, and amazingly, with absolutely no effects at all from the pills and alcohol!! It was then I realized God had a destiny and plan for my life. God began a work in me and restored my self-confidence. I could say I was wonderfully beautiful and I truly loved me. I would no longer believe the lies I’d been told. I’d discovered who I was in Christ. I had been healed and set free from the hurts and pains of the past, and God is making many of my dreams reality! Today I am happily married. My husband and I are both very pro-life and we seek to take this message of hope and healing to the world.

Back to the abortion and how God gave my mother (who I’d lived with until my marriage), and I the strength and courage to share our story. Abortion causes unspeakable guilt and pain. It took my mother years to forgive herself and accept God’s forgiveness. Abortion leaves scars that take years to heal. It took me a long time to get past the hurt, anger, and pain. By God’s mercy and grace, I am free to share my story. My hope is that by doing so, lives can be saved, healed, and restored. I know there are many who have been affected by abortion. My message to you today is that there is hope and healing after abortion. I would love the opportunity to come and share my story in person and minister words of hope and encouragement to those who are struggling. You Can Help Out Those Who Are

If one can't adopt there are some ways to help out those who are going through the process. The cost of adoption is usually a major stumbling block for many, but if everyone pitches it will be much easier for the orphans of the world to find a home.

Check out the following:

Reese's Rainbow, Down Syndrome Adoption Ministry, has a program to sponsor a family who is adopting.

Ten For Orphans is an organization that promotes helping the adoption process by suggesting a $10 donation be made once a month. If 2,500 people just donated this amount, then an adoption would be paid for in one month.

The adoption organization Show Hope has a method for you to sponsor an adoption. Please watch the following video:
Roe v Wade" />

The Horror Of Abortion Should Be Front And Center All Year Long

In the next few days the pro-life movement will be front and center in our nation, except for probably in the liberal press. Marches, conferences, rallies, and a few sermons will mark the anniversary of the passing of Roe v. Wade.

Father Stephen Imbarrato, who leads Project Defending Life, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, states the following:

As we pass through the coming days of various Life Marches leading to the big DC event, I would like everyone to answer this question for self reflection! What is the greatest sacrifice I have made in the last year to stop the killing of my unborn brothers and sisters? Then we can ask ourselves..."what greater sacrifice can I make this coming year to end abortion?"

He couldn't be more on the mark with his remarks. When I attended the march in Washington, DC, two years ago, my first reaction was that I wish we could bottle this energy and enthusiasm to stop abortion throughout the year. Another response was how awesome it was that so many young people were marching. Another fact that stood out was that the large majority of those marching were representing a Catholic church, Catholic school, or just displaying their Catholic faith.

This IS not only a Catholic issue. It's a Lutheran issue, a Methodist issue, an Evangelical issue, or whatever type of church one attends. In fact, it is not confined to any church or political party. Abortion is a moral issue, and that's it. Do people say that the murder of a born person is only a religious issue or one for certain political party to fight against? Everyone would agree that murder is a moral issue that is just wrong. We need to also not have any labels attached to abortion defining it with a particular group. It is just wrong.

It is time to diligently work all year long to stop abortion. Where does one start? One suggestion is to learn as much as possible about defending the pro-life position. Then make a point to discuss the issue with anybody once a week to start. Once the abortion topic is brought to light, it can be much easier for the pro-lifer to discuss it again. That's not saying that the attacks on the pro-life position will subside, but if someone is confident in the life message then they will be more experienced in refuting the pro-abortion view.

Another effective method to stop abortion is to pray in front of abortion facilities during the 40 Days for Life campaign or anytime for that matter. Fighting abortion through the legislative process is one way of achieving the goal of abortion, although it can be extremely frustrating. Ask God to apply your talents and gifts to best serve the fight against abortion. It is very possible that the gifts you have in a certain area could be used to stop abortion in a way that never occurred to you.

The bottom line is that the horror of abortion should be the number one issue not just one week out of the year, but every day of the year. It shouldn't be put on the back burner and then brought to the front in January, when the thought is, "Well, it's time to talk about abortion again."

Where have you seen "free hugs" on a menu at a restaurant? At Tim's Place in Albuquerque, New Mexico, along with breakfast burritos, enchiladas, burgers, and soups, one can get a "guilt free, calorie free" hug from the owner Tim Harris who has Down Syndrome.

The famous quote from Walt Disney, “If you can dream it, you can do it” has been the driving force behind the life of Tim Harris. Tim has been working at restaurants since high school and graduated from Eastern New Mexico University's Roswell campus in 2008 with certificates in food service and office skills. The 4200 square foot establishment has an "all about Tim" theme. One will find photos displayed of Tim being crowned homecoming king at Eldorado High School in 2003, along with pictures of his many accomplishments in Special Olympics and of him giving hugs.

General Manager Daniel Meeker didn’t need any convincing to oversee Tim's Place. “I don’t look at it as running a restaurant. We want people to come in and we want to provide them with love, loyalty, and a connection," said Meeker. Tim Harris has proclaimed Tim's Place as the "World's Friendliest Restaurant."
It is an extreme shame that 90% of unborn babies diagnosed with Down Syndrome are aborted. To discover more on Down Syndrome go to NDSS.

Subscribe in a reader

Gianna Jessen: My Life Is Beautiful

Should we show the view of the unborn in the womb as Missy Smith aired in the first video when she was running for Congress in Washington, DC, in 2010? Is her more graphic second video a better way to get the message across? Should we use the more subtle approach such as Focus on the Family showed in the Tim Tebow Super Bowl ad that aired in 2010? That ad was so subtle there wasn't any way one would have known that Tebow's mother was advised to abort Tim.

Randall Terry is a candidate for president just so he can show uncensored graphic ads during the upcoming Super Bowl. He's in the process of trying to raise money to run as many ads as possible. The pro-abortion crowd had such a fit before Tebow's ad even ran, so can you imagine if Terry has his ad viewed by millions during the Super Bowl?

In my community of Albuquerque, New Mexico, approximately fifteen unborn babies are killed every day, and many of them are several months old. The outrage from the churches and the public is nonexistent. In fact, there is not even a modicum of interest in the fact that this is going on. Where are the churches on this matter? For most of them there is silence - only silence. Many don't even think it's important enough to have a pro-life ministry or even have one for post-abortive women or adoption. They make sure they have ministries for their parking lot attendants, those who ride motorcycles, for the divorced, or for seniors, etc. But they give the unborn the same value as much of society does, and that is less than the wolf or endangered minnow that many are trying to save.

I've attended many different types of churches of all sizes and denominations, or no denomination at all. So many of them are attended by people who smile and welcome you, and then it's followed by the usual "God Bless You." Of course, that's perfectly fine, but I get the impression that I could state that fifteen unborn babies are killed every day in my city, and they would respond with "God Bless You." The "God Bless You" Christians mean well, and I'm sure many of them believe that their main goal is to spread the Word and convert the unbelievers, but why don't they show the same love to the unborn? Actually, they don't even need to love them, but they should just have the same compassion that they would display to their neighbor that is being abused or the homeless that they may feed at the mission. What's mind-boggling is that a human is actually being killed by abortion. It's not that a person is going through some rough time in their life, such as the homeless or the abused - A PERSON IS BEING KILLED. It's one thing to have the press and the general public not care, but at least the Christians should care enough to stand up and do something about it.

What can be done?

Stand and pray in front of an abortion clinic or at least at a gathering of fellow parishioners.

Discuss the issue frequently with fellow Christians, or anyone, for that matter.

Write about it online or contact your legislators or clergy about abortion.

Join pro-life groups or start your own.

Volunteer with pregnancy centers or others that are helping those who are seeking an alternative to abortion.

Read pro-life books by authors such as Scott Klusendorf, or use any of the resources on this site.

... Or think of any way I haven't mention to spread the word.

2012 should be the year that the "God Bless You" Christians stand up for the unborn.
Info can be and often is withheld, overlooked, misinterpreted, and misrepresented so to the extent that we can really 'know' this little boy’s story, this is the story as we know it...

In January 2006 a baby boy is born in an Eastern European country. At birth he suffers trauma, which results in Cerebral Palsy. It is no surprise then that he also has anemia.

Instead of feeling the loving arms of a mom and dad caring for him, he is put in an orphanage where he feels the loneliness of a cold hard crib that would become his prison for the next 6 years. Instead of hearing words of encouragement and 'I love you' in his ears, he hears the painful cries and despairing moans coming from his own mouth and from the other desperate children around him.

Sometime about a year ago he is placed in a 'laying room'. Words like despair, stench, lack of affection, boredom, starvation, malnutrition, sedation drugs, head-banging, chewing on cribs, self-mutilation, no stimulation, and sickening, are all descriptions used by those very few who have been allowed to step inside the room.

A mom who rescued two children from his orphanage describes the room: "This room is reserved for ‘the worst of the worst.’ The children with the most severe special needs. They are deemed completely worthless...the children that nobody would ever adopt. They are literally kept hidden from the world, except for a few of us who get a very small glimpse. Even volunteer therapy groups are discouraged from going into this room. They are told not to bother."

She also says about the boy: "It didn't appear that his special needs were near severe enough to warrant his fate in this awful room. He also looked entirely too big to be kept in such a small crib. He was always quiet and calm. He looked at me, seemed engaged, and could move around in his crib as his gaze followed me around the room."

Shortly after he was placed in the 'laying room', a family adopting another child wrote: "He responded to our voices and smiled for the camera. The nannies put our little boy in the crib with him and he was very gentle and sweet with him.”

Why he was condemned to that room I am afraid may never be known. Years in an institution with lack of stimulation lack of any meaningful human contact, and little to no opportunities to learn physical skills leave a child developmentally and mentally delayed, usually severely. There is no doubt that this boy’s Cerebral Palsy combined with his environment have left him lacking physical, emotional, and cognitive skills. The fact that he is still gentle with other kids and engaged at all is truly a miracle in itself!

A family who saw him just weeks ago reported: "It was a shock to me to see how delayed he is. He is 5 and has never been out of his crib. We were the first interaction he has had with people other than the orphanage workers. He was overwhelmed at first by the sights and sounds around him. I looked at a book with him and he held a stuffed animal most of the time. He did not seem very lucid and had two fits of screaming that did not have any apparent trigger. He calmed down just as unexpectedly. My two visits left me with the feeling he is either much more severe than we were led to believe or being sedated. He makes very little eye contact and is unable to focus on anything. I did not expect him to speak but he has not communicated at all with me. He was able to say a few sounds but hasn't said a word. He is obviously still in diapers and his muscles are very tight. We are unsure of the condition of his legs because they were tightly strapped down. He appeared to be holding himself up although he was also restrained across his chest. He likely would have fell forward without it though due to his rocking and head rolling. When he was told we were leaving he threw quite a fit. He did not want to go back to his crib. I can't say I blame him."

Reflecting on this information, the mom that had preciously visited him said: "Sadly, spending every day in this tiny crib in a small room with about 7 other cribs jammed in side by side and around the perimeter, has been devastating and detrimental to him. From when I was there, it appears he has also lost a lot of mobility, no doubt from being so confined. His living conditions have made this cognitively functioning child that I saw, into a child who has become disturbed. A child that has to be strapped down with padding to keep him from hurting himself."

This boy, through no fault of his own, has been raised as little more then an animal. No, we are RESCUING him. The adoption part will begin when we get him home and start the healing of his body, mind, and soul. RIGHT NOW THIS IS A RED ALERT, ALL HANDS ON DECK RESCUE MISSION...

We certainly did not expect to adopt so soon after bringing our daughter home from China in October, but we could not stop weeping over this boy, the deal he got in life, and what his future looks like. I will post much more about how and why we have come to know that Valentin is our son, but for now our focus is to bring him home. He will join 5 siblings, two who are in heaven, one brother who is 3, another brother who is 3 and adopted from China with Spina Bifida, and a sister who is 2 and also adopted from China with Cerebral Palsy.

Valentin is facing EMINENT TRANSFER to a mental institution and we have been told to prepare to adopt him from there because TRANSFER IS LIKELY INEVITABLE. We have also been told to prepare ourselves emotionally for what we will see. If the 'laying room' is horrendous then the mental institution is horrifying. This means we must move QUICKLY to rescue him.

The truth is, we need your help…he needs your help…and he needs it soon. As part of the body of Christ we know that we do not do anything alone. This is not a story of the Ashton Family going to adopt a boy; this is the story of the body of Christ working to rescue a child dearly beloved by God. We are doing everything humanly possible to complete all the paperwork, research his needs, find local doctors and resources for him, plan for travel and meeting him, plan for his return, etc... The one thing we cannot do…is pay for it all. And it is expensive. Considering Christ died for our adoption, $25,000 does not seem like too much.

We have paid for two adoptions in the last two years and have exhausted every financial resource we have. We know God will perform a miracle here and we are trusting in that with everything we have. We do not like nor are we good at asking for help, but hopefully we are wise enough and humble enough to know when we need it...to know when Valentin needs it.
First, an examination of his pro-life views:

Santorum was given a 0% rating by NARAL, indicating a pro-life voting record.

In March 2011 Salon reported that Rich Santorum said the following:

'The reason social security is in big trouble is we don't have enough workers to support the retirees. Well, a third of all the young people in America are not in America today because of abortion, because one in three pregnancies end in abortion."

He also made a statement to CNS News about Obama and abortion:

Rick Santorum's views on Obamacare and profits are in the following video:

Foreign Views

From Rick Stantorum's website is the following ten-point plan.

By reclaiming our legacy of liberty I know we can make ourselves more secure and help the rest of the world become more stable and free. Let me suggest a ten-point plan to reverse our course, restore our greatness, and reestablish America’s standing in the world.

First, we need to begin by seeing the world the way it truly is. We need to see evil for what it is, and confront it; and we need to see decency for what it is and nurture it. Now is the time not only to be increasing our military preparedness but to finish the task of a comprehensive missile-defense system. While we are at it, we should restore our missile-defense commitments to Poland and the Czech Republic.

Second, we need to understand we are in a war, a hot war as well as a war of ideas. Failing to define our foes lest we be politically incorrect does not dissuade them from seeking our destruction. They know who they are and tell us, and they construe our efforts to obscure reality as signs of weakness and irresolution. Such behavior causes despair among our allies and confusion here at home.

Third, we need a reinvigorated human-intelligence apparatus in the Middle East so we can better understand who and where are enemies are and then identify opportunities to counteract them and support allies and would-be allies.

Fourth, we need to change our information operations abroad to promote our core values of freedom, equality, and democracy — just as we did with the Soviet Empire in the 1980s.

Fifth, we must cease our verbal, moral, and diplomatic equivalence as between good and evil. Syria does not deserve an ambassador; its protesters deserve support; Israeli housing starts should not be put on the same moral plane as Hamas terror attacks; and China should be challenged on religious liberty rather than be given a veto on the human-rights activists we wish support.

Sixth, having supported popular sovereignty abroad, we have erred in failing to sufficiently support the conditions of liberty and the institutions necessary for a successful democracy. Too often we have acted as if liberty’s first order of business is a vote. Elections should be a consummation and not a commencement to democratic processes.

Seventh, we need to keep and expand our commitment to humanitarian aid, especially in Africa. China and Islam are competing for the hearts and minds of much of Africa, and we cannot turn our back from the investment and commitments we have made. I helped lead many of our efforts to address third-world debt and the global AIDS crisis, and our investments have paid off.

Rick Santorum's one big blemish is when he publicly supported Arlen Specter. He suffered greatly for it by losing his Senate bid. Considering the other candidate's views on the life issue, plus their opinions on Obamacare, foreign policy, etc. I still believe Rick Santorum is the best choice for President.

Eighth, we must stand by Israel, especially at a time when it appears increasingly to be standing alone. The recent dislocation of the old order in the Middle East will usher in a new one, and anti-Israeli elements are working overtime to take advantage of the opportunity.

Ninth, the tradition of speaking up and out about prisoners of conscience and dissidents in prison, never mind American hostages, from the Middle East to Asia, needs to be restored. When President Reagan instituted the policy of reminding the world and America that there were others in jails because of their beliefs it not only reminded us of our blessings, it gave dissidents a sense of hope, and the knowledge that someone cared about them, that a great country was on their side.

Finally, we need to have a national effort to restore the teaching of American history in our nation’s schools. It is our children’s worst subject — they simply do not know their own story and thus when they are told ours is a history of aggression and immorality, they have no counter-narrative to refute it. It is worth remembering that Ronald Reagan’s final wish in his farewell address was to ask America to instill in our youth a renewed “informed patriotism.” Unfortunately, we ignored this lesson, and we are reaping the consequences.

Rick Santorum's economic plan called "Made in America" lists 31 points to improve our economy.

The one big blemish was his support for Arlen Specter in 2004, which cost Santorum greatly because he lost his Senate bid as a result. I view this as something that happened seven years and everyone makes mistakes in their political career. Despite this misstep, after examining all of the candidates with regard to their views on abortion, the economy, foreign policy, etc., I still feel Rick Santorum is the best choice for president.

Subscribe in a reader

Two Pro-Life Missionaries In Albuquerque Could Use Your Generous Support

As the year nears the end many pro-life groups are asking for donations. There are several worthwhile national pro-life organizations that you can donate to, but often the smaller ones get overlooked. Bud and Tara Shaver of Albuquerque, New Mexico, are saving lives in front of abortion mills daily. They also have exposed unethical practices at the abortion facilities in Albuquerque. Additionally, Bud and Tara have worked with Project Defending Life and have spoken to several groups about the pro-life issue. To read Bud Shaver's posts on Stand For Life click here and here.
Bolton decision, former abortionists' testimonies, those conceived by rape, and a pastor's life story.

The Gift of Life also touches on the funding of Planned Parenthood and Live Action's undercover activities exposing their corruption. It also discusses the current trends of more youth being involved, what lies ahead in the movement, plus much more.

The Gift of Life is an excellent overview of abortion in this country and it did a good job touching on several different aspects of the issue. The most powerful message came from those who were involved in the abortion industry and their testimony about finally seeing the truth of what they were doing after thousands of abortions.

I wish it would have expanded on some of the issues such as those conceived in rape and those born with Down Syndrome. There are some areas it didn't cover such as the lack of involvement with the abortion issue by most churches and political leaders. It also didn't cover pro-lifers who are in front of the abortion facilities, prominent pro-life organizations such as Operation Rescue, or leaders such as Jill Stanek. I realize it would need to be twice as long to include all of this.

I would strongly recommend The Gift of Life for anyone, no matter where they now stand on the issue. If nothing else, it should force the viewer to think about abortion and prompt them to discuss it with others. Hopefully, it will get people to examine the subject in more detail and help them realize that something needs to be done now to stop abortion. Watch the trailer and order The Gift of Life.

It's amazing to watch the non-Christians and some Christians squirm and spew venom over just the mention of Tim Tebow's name. You would think he has had 12 DUIs, beat his wife, took steroids, and punched his coach. Their reaction, of course, has nothing to do with Tim Tebow's playing ability. He has only lost one start this season and has a knack for leading the Denver Broncos to victory in the last minute of games. He is not a good passer, as far as NFL standards go, but there's more to being a winner than a great QB rating. There are a number of below-standard quarterbacks in the NFL this season but they barely get a mention by the sports media.

So what's the big deal with Tebow? He proclaims his Christianity when he has the opportunity. That's it. The liberal sports media and those who dislike Tebow may claim they don't like him for other reasons, but they can't handle it when they have to face their lack of Christianity. Every week they get more tied up in knots because they thought that was the week he was going to fail. I think they all believe that the ultimate job would to be a quarterback in the NFL, and they just don't understand the fact that there's something more important to Tebow than that.

Tim Tebow doesn't tell everyone they have to be Christians and how to run their lives, but some of the complaints I've heard about him is that he is doing just that. What is really happening is that those who do not like him for his Christianity is telling him how to run his life. They don't want him to proclaim his faith so publicly, but they are more than willing to proclaim their non-faith on him and tell him out to act. It's not only the non-Christians that are attacking him, but there are many Christians who are very uncomfortable with someone being very open with their faith in Jesus Christ.

He made his detractors squirm with the extremely subtle pro-life ad at the Super Bowl, and now they show who they really are in their over the top reaction to him.

My advice to those that attack him - GET OVER IT! Thank you Tim Tebow.

Subscribe in a reader

The Jacobs Family - Their Story Of Foster Care And Adoption

Michele Bachmann features the Jacobs family from Lakeland, Minnesota on her YouTube site. They fostered 30 children, adopted 10 of them, and have 5 biological children.
A recent investigation conducted by Project Defending Life with the help of Operation Rescue has revealed that tax money received by the University of New Mexico (UNM) flows freely to the university-run UNM Center for Reproductive Health (UNMCRH) abortion clinic in Albuquerque.

This money is used for the following purposes:

Finance the UNMCRH abortion clinic.

Train UNM medical residents in abortions techniques, particularly late-term abortions.

Conduct experimental research on patients with regard to abortion, contraception and sterilization.

Read the rest of the article here.

Let's take a look at what UNM thinks of tolerance and diversity and examine if it applies to everyone.

The University Of New Mexico Division for Equity and Inclusion has as its Core Values:

Promoting Equity: DEI believes in the residual value of equity and fosters a climate where fairness, impartiality, and justice are a main staple in the relationships between and among people of all backgrounds within UNM’s social and professional settings.

Holistic Learning: DEI supports a diverse learning environment that promotes personal, intellectual, ethical and spiritual excellence.

Social Justice: DEI strongly advocates for an institution based on principles of fairness, solidarity, understanding and value.

Inclusive Excellence: DEI posits that inclusive excellence requires a healthy and inclusive campus climate and refers to the processes by which we leverage diversity as our strength to enhance our understanding and connections with diverse communities, ensure the success of all of our students and advance the academic enterprise.

UNM also has a Health Science Center Office of Diversity. Its mission is the following:

The HSC’s commitment to addressing health and educational disparities is evidenced by the creation of HSC-wide Office of Diversity (OoD) whose mission is to promote ethnic, racial, socio-economic, gender, and geographic diversity in the Health Sciences, and to create opportunities to address the health disparities that affect all New Mexicans.

After issuing these policies, how does this university then have a clinic to kill unborn children? In addition to that, it's at taxpayer expense! The UNM Center For Reproductive Health aborts unborn babies up to 22-weeks old. The clinic is hidden on a side street several miles away from the main campus and UNM Hospital. Obviously, the unborn are not included in any of the mission statements from above. The Division of Equity and Inclusion doesn't think there's a problem having no equal rights for the unborn and obviously does not include them in their statement of fairness, solidarity, understanding, and most importantly, value.

The Health Center's Office of Diversity wants to address the health disparities that affect all New Mexicans. This statement is unbelievable! What about the the extermination of health that the unborn face at the Health Center's own UNM abortion clinic. How can they publicly say that they are for health when the UNM Center for Reproductive Health's primary purpose is to kill the unborn? What about the actual health disparities in the womb? The UNM clinic promotes abortion for genetic indications. Translation: If your child has Down Syndrome, we are more than willing to kill it - or "terminate" it as the clinic states.

Subscribe in a reader
