David is a wonderful and kind person with a great eye for photography. He has a diverse gallery of shots that are well worth checking out. This week we get to delve into his thought process as well as learn a little bit about photographic techniques and infrared shots. Background I must start by saying that I am an amateur photographer of modest experience and ability. Thus, if anyone thinks that I am pushing myself beyond my abilities or as an expert that is not my intention. As a scientist, I researched and taught chemistry at various Universities in the UK for many years. In the early1990&#8242;s, I switched careers to become a Consultant Chemist, providing expert opinion to the legal profession, the insurance industry, and the Courts in England on matters to do with the safety of chemicals in the workplace. I retired about 10 years ago to pursue other interests – photography, art, [...]<div class="feedflare">

The interview with Patrick was most fun. I hope you enjoy his thoughts and artwork as much as I have! He is a very talented artist as you shall soon see. Basics &#38; Bio Do you have any hobbies aside from drawing/sketching? I’ve been playing the saxophone since I was 10 years old. I play many musical instruments, I enjoy video and photography, video editing, sound editing and music editing software. 3D creation software. When did you start drawing? Since I could hold a crayon in my hand. Do you use your artistic skill professionally, or is it just something you do because you enjoy it? Actually both. My full time job requires me to create graphic designs for the print industry. Being artistic gives me an edge that others do not have when using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Anyone can learn to use graphic software, but I believe only an artist can take [...]<div class="feedflare">

I&#8217;ve always been fascinated by the gadgets and gizmos on technological things. Earlier this week I was researching some watches at amazon.com trying to find something I liked. Of course the chronograph watches caught my eye right away. This got me thinking about other bells and whistles and then soon my mind went to helmet/visor technology like seen in Iron Man and Metroid among countless hundreds of others. The ideas really started to flow when I began thinking about the fractal programs I use and their interfaces for creating and developing the images. It would be amazing to be able to have an interface controlled by thought to design fractals! Just put on a helmet/visor and start creating! While right now, this might be a mere dream, I created a wallpaper with the idea in mind of being immersed in a fractal. With the current advances in hardware technologies, the software might soon be able [...]<div class="feedflare">

Adrian has a beautiful and unique way of capturing personality in his photographs. I was captivated right away when I first saw his work. What follows is an interview with Adrian about his photography as well as his thinking process and working style. When did you get started in photography and why? I was initiated to photography by my father. I remember him staying till late in his dark room with the red light on. He was using different types of cameras and me and my mother had to stand still up to 3 minutes for one single shot. Looking back today at those pictures I see how accurate my father was. I remember also receiving my first camera when I was around 7-8 years old. It was quite a fake one and I don’t remember using it. My first camera was a Minox, the smallest at that time. I used it intensively since I was at high school. [...]<div class="feedflare">
