The mother of the 6-year-old boy once feared missing inside a runaway helium balloon admitted the whole saga was a hoax, according to court documents released Friday.

Mayumi Heene told sheriff’s deputies that she and her husband Richard “knew all along that Falcon was hiding in the residence” in Fort Collins, according to an affidavit used to get a search warrant for the home.

She allegedly told investigators the incident was a hoax meant to make them more marketable to the media.

“Mayumi described that she and Richard Heene devised this hoax approximately two weeks earlier…. She and Richard had instructed their three children to lie to authorities as well as the media regarding this hoax,” the affidavit said.

Richard Heene has denied a hoax. His lawyer, David Lane, said Friday he is waiting to see the evidence in the case.

“Allegations are cheap,” Lane said.

Mayumi Heene’s lawyer, Lee Christian, was traveling and didn’t immediately respond to messages left with his office.

Larimer County Sheriff Jim Alderden has said he will recommend charges against the Heenes including conspiracy, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, making a false report to authorities, and attempting to influence a public servant. The most serious charges are felonies and carry a maximum sentence of six years in prison.

Alderden said authorities also would be seeking restitution for the costs of the balloon chase, though he didn’t provide a figure.

His office has said it will likely be next week before it forwards its findings to prosecutors to decide on charges.

In frantic calls to a TV station, 911 and federal aviation officials, the Heenes reported that they feared Falcon was in the homemade, saucer-like balloon when it was accidentally launched from their back yard last week.

Millions watched as media and National Guard helicopters tracked the balloon across the Colorado plains. It landed in a dusty farm field, where ground crews looked inside but found no sign of the boy.

Later, the relieved-looking couple reported Falcon had been hiding in their garage the whole time. But suspicion heated up when Falcon made a comment on CNN that sounded like “You had said we did this for a show.”

Sheriff’s deputies questioned the parents separately on Oct. 17, two days after the flight. Mayumi Heene told authorities “she and Richard Heene had lied to authorities on October 15, 2009 (the day of the flight),” the affidavit said.

She told investigators “that the release of the flying saucer was intentional as a hoax…. The motive for the fabricated story was to make the Heene family more marketable for future media interest,” the affidavit said.

The Heenes twice had appeared on ABC’s reality show “Wife Swap,” and acquaintances said Richard Heene had plans for other possible shows.

The producer of “Wife Swap” had a show in development with the Heenes but said the deal is now off. The TLC cable network also said Heene had pitched a reality show months ago, but it passed on the offer.

Sheriff’s officials declined to comment Friday.

Among the items taken by authorities during the home search Saturday were video cameras, computers, hard drives, a picture of a flying saucer, receipts, papers, a phone/address book and a flight itinerary. The list didn’t identify the passenger, destination or date of travel.

Dollhouse is being pulled from the schedule for the entire November sweeps, which begin next Thursday. This week’s episode is the last until at least December when whatever is left of the 13 episode order will be burned off during one of the lowest non-summer viewing periods of the year.
Dollhouse has been averaging fewer than 3 million viewers per episode. This puts it in CW territory but Fox has much higher expectations. To put it another way, Dollhouse is pulling less of an audience than Bill O’Reilly does on cable.
Also going on hiatus is Til Death, which should be used to it by now. It was off the air most of last season, too. The only reason it is being kept alive is the hope it can get to enough episodes for syndication. As pathetic as the ratings are, local stations will buy almost any half-hour show coming off a major network.

R&B singer Chris Brown will perform on Nov. 29 at Revolution Live in Fort Lauderdale, with tickets going on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, as part of a “fan appreciation tour” of small and medium-sized venues, concert promoter Live Nation announced on Wednesday.

Brown, who had a No. 1 album at age 16 in 2005, was headlining arenas not long ago and drawing comparisons to Usher and Michael Jackson. His fortunes plunged after he was arrested in Los Angeles in February for striking pop singer Rihanna, his girlfriend at the time.

Brown, 20, pleaded guilty to felony assault in June in a deal that mandated probation, community service and a restraining order.

TLC star TIONNE ‘T-BOZ’ WATKINS has been battling a brain tumour for the last three years.
The hip-hop star, who also suffers from sickle-cell disease, reveals she was diagnosed with a non-cancerous acoustic neuroma in 2006 after years of painful headaches prompted her to seek professional medical treatment. 
Watkins was sent for a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan, and medics discovered she had a tumour the size of a grapefruit on her brain.
She tells People magazine, “Because of my sickle-cell disease, I have a high tolerance for pain. By 2006, I’d had headaches for six years. I thought it was stress. But when my vision went blurry, I got an MRI.”
She underwent a seven-hour operation to remove the growth in November 2006, but she almost didn’t pull through after experiencing complications related to her life-threatening blood disorder.
Watkins explains, “When I awoke, I could hear and I looked normal, but then I had a sickle-cell crisis. With the pain meds and steroids, they said I kept flopping and hitting my head. They gave me IV (intravenous) fluids in order to stop it.
“After I was released (from hospital) more than a week later, the ride to my Los Angeles apartment was like vertigo to the 10th power. I had to sit up in bed for two months. They propped me up, but I kept sliding down, which made my head swell. It was so painful. At one point, fluid poured out of my nose.
“I was readmitted (to hospital). I couldn’t walk or really see. I heard screeching noises. They said, ‘We may have to cut you open again…’ I prayed and the fluid stopped.”
The setback in her recovery became so bad, Watkins was left unable to speak for months: “In rehab, I had to relearn how to walk and how to say my ABCs.”
Watkins regained her speech within a year and went on to appear on U.S. TV’s Celebrity Apprentice in March (09), keeping her diagnosis a secret from her fellow contestants even though she was still a little unsteady on her feet.
She explains, “I didn’t want pity.”

Michael Jackson’s daughter Paris believes gig bosses worked her father into an early grave.

Paris, 11, has told her aunt La Toya that her dad buckled under the strain of preparing for his huge 50-show This Is It tour.

She confided: “The cardiologist was the best, so how could this happen? What happened is they worked him too hard.

“He never got the chance to rest. It was non-stop work.”

La Toya makes the shock claim on Channel 4’s The Paul O’Grady Show at 5pm today

She tells Paul how Paris laid bare her suspicions in a hospital after his death in June.

La Toya, 53, reveals: “She said, ‘No, you don’t understand. They kept working him and Daddy didn’t want that, but they worked him constantly’. I felt so bad.”

La Toya tells Paul: “It’s being investigated. We’re working with them but leaving it to them to make the right decisions and we hope justice will be served.”

Kim Kardashian officially reconciled with her NFL running back beau, Reggie Bush.

“They’re totally back together for real,” says a source close to the couple told People.com. “Kim and Reggie spent a few months apart getting their priorities together and figuring out who they were as individuals so they can make it work together.”
