As much as I’ve enjoyed this chat Mr Buddah, I would have thought you knew that I already reached enlightenment, like, 5 years ago, and then I found Nirvana like, 3 years ago in the bottom of a Kashi 7-grain cracker box.  For real.

I wonder why that is… maybe I just really like the color? (I do look pretty stunning in the middle of all that red, don’t I?) Or maybe I just like to prove I can do it to dad? I’m really not sure… all I know is I just feel like getting up there, sometimes.

You see, this is actually just a complicated optical illusion that causes it to look (to your inferior human eyes) like we’re snuggling. But we’re not.

Nope. Nuh-uh. Not hardly.

We got the full treatment – a “bunny massage,” fur brushing, nail clipping… the works.

Of course, it’s all fun and games until someone says “anal scent gland cleaning.” I’m just going to leave it at that.

Normally I don’t like people touching me for any reason (I make rare exceptions for when treats are being given out).

Dad will say he thinks I enjoyed it. But that is ALL LIES.

That is clearly concentrated disapproval.

Um, Betsy, you’re not helping. Don’t let them know you’re enjoying it!

Oh dear.

Well, don’t forget what else they’re going to do to you.

Yep, the dreaded toenail clipping. I warned you, Betsy!

And what’s up with the litterboxes at this place? Way too small if you ask me.

Betsy said the grooming was a bit rough and the stylist didn’t know what to do with her fur.

So she had to fix it herself.

I was just glad to have a moment’s rest – it was very busy. I did get to sniff a few other bunnies on the way out, but the space was soooo small… there wasn’t much room. Of course, it was raining out that day, so maybe that’s why it was inside.

Dad says that the profits from the bunny spa day go to help local rabbit rescue and shelters… so I won’t say it was a total loss. But I’m not doing another one of those things for a loooong while. You hear me, dad?

Because, really, you can’t go wrong with bunnies. We’re super-cute and everybody loves us! We can get people to buy anything!

(Gus and I would also like to remind you that this fact has absolutely nothing to do with any secret bunny plan to overthrow humanity.) Move along, move along…

Dad was nice enough to give us a tube stuffed with some nice fresh timothy hay the other day. Unfortunately he only had one tube, so Gus and I had to… umm… “share” it.

Well, anyway, it was still a nice treat.

This was one of those times.

The cardboard box is tough to get on top of – the cardboard is slippery and you can’t get good traction. But being the brave, courageous, unstoppable, (not to mention handsome) bunny that I am, I jumped on top of it.

This’ll show dad how tough I am! Now he’ll know that I’m the boss bunny! The “top bunny!” Yes!

Bow down before me, dad! Oh, and give me some treats, too!

For example, I really don’t like flash photography.

The flash blinds me – it’s just too much for my sensitive eyes to take. Remember, our eyes are adapted for seeing in the dim light of dusk/dawn!

Fortunately, dad rarely takes pictures with the flash on. (This picture here was an exception.)

No flash photography of bunnies! (Or, at least, no flash photography of ME!)
