Well, we never could have guessed this one. We spotted this today:

“Forrester estimates that India’s public sector IT purchases will grow at a CAGR of 14% between 2012 and 2017, reaching $108.5 billion in 2017. In 2014, we anticipate a decrease in government spending due to parliamentary elections — but spending will pick up after the election, as maintaining GDP growth will be on the agenda of any new government. We believe that massive infrastructure investments and increasing citizen expectations will fuel public sector IT in spite of the 2014 parliamentary elections. Citizens are pressuring federal, state, and local government to become more proactive and interactive and to provide services in a more organized and user-friendly manner.”

“With Skype under Microsoft ownership, Rebtel now claims to be the largest independent mobile VoIP provider, with 17 million users in over 200 countries accessing its service over WiFi and 3G on iPhone, Android, and PCs. Rebtel has added two million users since February, and is seeing an average of 650K new users a month — many of whom have been attracted by its low-cost calling to landlines and mobile, along with the ability to switch between data and voice connections to avoid dropped calls and busy networks.”

“Worldwide mobile payment transaction values will surpass $171.5 billion in 2012, a 61.9 percent increase from 2011 values of $105.9 billion, according to Gartner, Inc. The number of mobile payment users will reach 212.2 million in 2012, up from 160.5 million in 2011.

“We expect global mobile transaction volume and value to average 42 percent annual growth between 2011 and 2016, and we are forecasting a market worth $617 billion with 448 million users by 2016,” said Sandy Shen, research director at Gartner. “This will bring opportunities for service and solution providers who will need to cater to the local demand patterns to customize their offerings.”"

We had spotted multiple Facebook IPO Stats and High frequency trading stats – we spotted this today:

“Citigroup’s Automated Trading Desk had trading loses of $20 million on Facebook’s (FB) initial public offering, according to Reuters.

ATD, which Citi (C) bought in 2007, is a firm that deals in computer-driven, high frequency trading. It doesn’t make robot traders … yet.
“We taught computers to trade like humans, at unprecedented speeds, with no coffee breaks,” ATD said on its website.
Despite their speed and superior work ethic, these computers were not smart enough to avoid being caught up in the IPO that some are now calling FaceBomb.
To be fair to the robots, some humanoid trading firms also took a bath on the social network’s ill-fated debut as a public company. Knight Capital and Citadel Securities both reported losses of $30 million to $35 million.”
