That guy is so lucky” or “I am not so lucky” but the reality is we can make our own luck, we can’t keep complaining the world, people, situation or circumstances for failures. We need to rise above the complaining attitude and need to make things happen.

If you seek opportunity in life, you’ll end up with all of the security you need. However, if you only seek security, you’ll end up with neither opportunity nor security.

The proof is that this is all around us, in the downsizing and reconstructing of corporations, where thousands of men and women who sought security are finding themselves unemployed for long periods of time.

A person makes his or her own luck by setting goals, following through and achieving them.

Follow these success principles to not only find more opportunities open up in your life but to find greater security as well.

MAKE YOUR OWN LUCK

Use these three success principles to set and achieve your goals. These are derived from three physical laws; the Law of Momentum, the Law of Inertia and the Law of Probability. You can apply these principles equally well to everything that you accomplish or fail to accomplish.

You make your own luck by getting out of your comfort zone and achieving your goals on your own. First you must learn why people succeed or fail based on these three success principles.

1) THE LAW OF MOMENTUM

The first success principle is the Law of Momentum. In physics, the law of momentum states that a body in motion tends to remain in motion unless acted upon by an outside force.

2) THE LAW OF INERTIA

The second success principle is the Law of Inertia. The Law of Inertia states that a body at rest tends to remain at rest unless acted upon by an outside force.

These two laws imply that it may be hard to get started toward your goal because you have to fight the pull of the comfort zone and the force of inertia. But, once you get into motion toward something that is important to you, it’s much easier to continue making progress than it is if you stop somewhere along the way and have to start again.

When you observe successful people, you find that they are very much like the plate spinners in the circus. They get things started. They get the plates spinning. Then, they continually keep them spinning, knowing that if a plate falls off, or something comes to a halt, its much harder to get it restarted then it is to keep it going in the first place.

3) THE LAW OF PROBABILITY

The third success principle is the Law of Probability. If you want to be more successful faster, just do or try more things. Take more action; get busier. Start a little earlier; work a little harder; stay a little later. Put the odds in your favor. According to the Law of Probability, the more things you try, the more likely it is that you will try the one thing that will make all of the difference. You make your own luck by trying more things and doing more.

HOW TO ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS

Discovering how to achieve your goals starts with you! Once you have a goal and a plan get going! Once you start moving toward your goal, don’t stop. Do something every day to move yourself closer to the goal. Don’t let the size of the goal, or the amount of time required to accomplish it, discourage you or hold you back from reaching it.

WRITE DOWN GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

During your planning process, break down the goal into small tasks and activities that you can engage in every day. Create a checklist to follow. You don’t have to do a lot, but every day, every week, every month, you should be making progress in the direction of your clearly-defined goals and objectives by completing your predetermined tasks and activities.

They have the capacity to keep themselves from falling into a comfort zone. They are lifelong students.

The great Supreme Court Justice, Oliver Wendell Holmes, once said that there are three types of people: the people who make things happen, the people who watch what’s happening, and the people who haven’t the slightest idea of what’s happening. Today, as never before, our society is experiencing a pressing need for great leadership.

This need for leadership can be felt in our homes, in our business organizations, in our private and public associations, and in our government. We need great leadership more than ever before. And we especially need great leadership to take us into the future. We need people who have key leadership traits, they have a vision, courage, and the ability to chart new seas and break new ground.

TWO TYPES OF LEADERSHIP TRAITS

Leadership is the single most important factor in the success or failure of any business. Leaders are primarily self-made . . . they continually work to improve their skills and become more capable. In order to be successful in business, we need great leaders with two types of leadership traits.

The first type of leader that we need is the transformational leader. This leader is a pathfinder, a visionary. These types of leadership traits motivate, uplift, inspire, and empower people to perform at levels far beyond anything they’ve ever done before.

The second type of leader we need is perhaps the most important or foundational. They are the transactional leader. The transactional leader is the person who gets things done with and through others.

WHAT IS GREAT LEADERSHIP?

One of the major reasons that people go to work for any organization is because of the leadership. So what exactly is great leadership? Two excellent definitions of leadership apply especially to business organizations. The first one is: Great Leadership is the ability to elicit extraordinary performance from ordinary people. Another definition is: Great Leadership is the ability to get followers.

LEADERS CAN BE MADE IF NOT BORN

Leaders can be made if not born. A person becomes a leader by, first of all, deciding to become a leader, and second of all, by learning the skills necessary to “elicit extraordinary performance from ordinary people.”

Then at the very top are those 1 or 2 percent of people in our society who really are the spark plugs in the engines of change. Every one of us is on that scale somewhere, moving up or down depending upon the things that we are doing and saying on a daily basis. You are what you think you are. Your self-concept determines your performance. You can become a much more effective leader by changing your self-concept, by changing the way you think about yourself as a leader.

SELECT LEADERSHIP TRAITS TO EMULATE

The starting point of developing great leadership traits is to begin thinking about the leaders you know, who you admire, and then to think about how you could emulate their behaviors. Think about the types of leadership that you could develop. In no time at all, you will actually begin to imitate their qualities and behaviors, and become a better leader yourself.

All great leaders were at one time good followers. All great leaders at one time worked closely with other successful leaders and learned from them and emulated their behaviors. The study of great leaders of the past and present is one of the fastest and surest ways to develop leadership traits and qualities. The more you study what constitutes great leadership, the more likely you will be to internalize the same values and behaviors. These values and behaviors will then be externalized in your actions and in your results.

LEADERSHIP QUALITIES & ATTRIBUTES OF GREAT LEADERS

VISION

Great leaders have vision. They can see into the future. They have a clear, exciting idea of where they are going and what they are trying to accomplish and are excellent at strategic planning.

This quality separates them from managers. Having a clear vision turns the individual into a special type of person. This quality of vision changes a “transactional manager” into a “transformational leader.” While a manager gets the job done, great leaders tap into the emotions of their employees.

COURAGE

“Courage is rightly considered the foremost of the virtues, for upon it, all others depend.” (Winston Churchill)

The quality of courage means that you are willing to take risks in the achievement of your goals with no assurance of success. Because there is no certainty in life or business, every commitment you make and every action you take entails a risk of some kind.

INTEGRITY

The core of integrity is truthfulness. Integrity requires that you always tell the truth, to all people, in every situation. Truthfulness is the foundation quality of the trust that is necessary for the success of any business.

HUMILITY

Great leaders are those who are strong and decisive but also humble. Humility doesn’t mean that you’re weak or unsure of yourself. It means that you have the self-confidence and self-awareness to recognize the value of others without feeling threatened. It means that you are willing to admit you could be wrong, that you recognize you may not have all the answers. And it means that you give credit where credit is due.

You learn how to listen, and admit that you don’t know all the answers. You exhibit the attitude that you can learn from anyone at any time. Your pride doesn’t get in the way of gathering the information you need to achieve the best results. It doesn’t keep you from sharing the credit that needs to be shared. Humility allows you to acknowledge your mistakes.”

You exhibit the attitude that you can learn from anyone at any time. Your pride doesn’t get in the way of gathering the information you need to achieve the best results. It doesn’t keep you from sharing the credit that needs to be shared. Humility allows you to acknowledge your mistakes.”

STRATEGIC PLANNING

Great leaders are outstanding at strategic planning. They have the ability to look ahead, to anticipate with some accuracy where the industry and the markets are going.

Leaders have the ability to anticipate trends, well in advance of their competitors. They continually ask, “Based on what is happening today, where is the market going? Where is it likely to be in three months, six months, one year, and two years?” through thoughtful strategic planning.

Because of increasing competitiveness, only the leaders and organizations that can accurately anticipate future markets can possibly survive. Only leaders with foresight can gain the “first mover advantage.”

COOPERATION

Your ability to get everyone working and pulling together is essential to your success. Leadership is the ability to get people to work for you because they want to.

The 80/20 rule applies here. Twenty percent of your people contribute 80 percent of your results. Your ability to select these people and then to work well with them on a daily basis is essential to the smooth functioning of the organization.

Gain the cooperation of others by making a commitment to get along well with each key person every single day. You always have a choice when it comes to a task: You can do it yourself, or you can get someone else to do it for you. Which is it going to be?

[…]

We have often been in a crisis situation where we press the panic button or see ourselves in catch 22. Many don’t convert these situations into their favor or look for a greater benefit by making the issue in ones favor rather making foes or leave a sour taste in the mouth with close relations.

When such a situation arises we should remain calm by wearing the thinking cap and implement the steps below which will be good enough to end any situation into a win-win.

1) DON’T PLAY THE BLAME GAME

To be your own turnaround specialist, to take complete control over your life in a crisis, the first thing you must do is to accept 100% responsibility for yourself and for everything that happens from this minute forward.

Accept responsibility and take charge. You especially must keep yourself positive and focused. You do this by reminding yourself and repeating these words:

‘‘I am responsible! I am responsible! I am responsible!’’

Above all, refuse to blame anyone for anything. Anger and negative emotions of all kinds are dependent upon blame for their very existence. As soon as you stop blaming other people for what has happened and take responsibility for the future, your negative emotions cease, your mind becomes calm and clear, and you begin to make better decisions.

As soon as you stop blaming other people for what has happened and take responsibility for the future, your negative emotions cease, your mind becomes calm and clear, and you begin to make better decisions.

2) HOW TO REMAIN CALM UNDER PRESSURE

The starting point of staying calm under pressure is for you to refuse to react automatically and unthinkingly. Instead, take a deep breath to calm your mind and then think carefully about your next words and actions. Imagine that everyone is watching.

Imagine that everyone is watching. Imagine that this situation is a test to see what you are truly made of. Imagine that everyone is waiting to see how you will respond.

Resolve to set a good example, to be a role model for others, to demonstrate the correct way to deal with a major problem, as if you were giving a lesson.

3) GET THE FACTS

Instead of overreacting, keep yourself calm by asking questions of the other people involved. Listen patiently to the answers.

If there is a solution, your job is to find it by fully understanding what has happened before you respond.

QUESTIONS that will help you to get facts

Ask key questions and listen carefully to the answers. Here are some that will help you get at the facts: What is the situation exactly?

What is the situation exactly?

What has happened?

How did it happen?

When did it happen?

Where did it happen?

What are the facts?

How do we know that these facts are accurate?

Who was involved?

Who is responsible for doing (or not doing) certain things?

The very act of asking questions and gathering facts keeps you calm and increases your courage and confidence.

The more facts you have, the stronger and more capable you will feel about making good decisions to solve the problem and get through the crunch.

4) WRITE DOWN THE PROBLEM

Begin by asking, ‘‘What, exactly, is the problem?’’ If you are working by yourself, write down a clear statement of the problem on a piece of paper.

It has been seen, if you can get the problem down on paper it starts to solve itself. Then write down what all of the possible solutions to the problem.

You will find that when you write out your problem and solutions, you will be able to identify the best way to solve it quickly. It may not seem like a problem at all after you write it down.

5) COMMUNICATE WITH THE CONFIDANT

Sometimes, talking over the problem with a spouse or trusted friend will help immensely to keep you calm and controlled. Go for a long walk and review the situation, examining it from every angle, seeking a possible solution. Remain optimistic, no matter what is going on.

Look for something good in the problem or situation. Very often, what appears to be a major setback is an opportunity in disguise. The complete failure of a project, process, or business venture may be exactly what you need because it may compel you to channel your time and resources in another direction.

6) WITH EVERY PROBLEM THERE IS A SEED OF GREATER BENEFIT

No matter what happens, seek the valuable lesson in every difficulty and setback.

Within every problem you face, there is the seed of an equal or greater benefit or advantage. When you discipline yourself to look for the good in the situation, and to seek the valuable lessons that the situation or crisis might contain, you automatically remain calm, positive, and optimistic.

As a result, all the powers of your wonderful mind remain available to you to solve the problem or resolve the crisis.

7) TAKE ACTION BY SOLVING THE PROBLEM

Get so busy taking action that and solving the problem and bringing about a solution, that you don’t have time to worry or think about the problem anymore. The only real antidote to worry, is purposeful action in the direction of your goals.

Instead of becoming upset or doubting yourself and your abilities, decide to take action, any action, to resolve the difficulty and get yourself through the crunch. Remind yourself that problems come not to obstruct, but to instruct.

CONCLUSION

When times get tough and you are faced with any of life’s complicated problems, stay motivated knowing that using this technique you can recognize and develop strategies to solve any problem.

The good news is whatever you are doing right now in your current life you can achieve your dream life by simply developing a thinking to earn these high value disciplines through practice and repetition until they become automatic.

GOAL SETTING

Every morning, take three to five minutes to write out your top goals in the present tense. Get a spiral notebook for this purpose. By writing out your ten goals at the beginning of each day, you will program them deep into your subconscious mind.

Goal setting will activate your mental powers. It will stimulate your mind and make you more alert. Throughout the day, you will see opportunities and possibilities to move more rapidly toward your goals.

PLANNING AND ORGANIZING

Take a few minutes, preferably the night before, to plan out every activity of the coming day. Always work from a list. Always think on paper. This is one of the most powerful and important disciplines of all for high performance. When you plan out your day on paper you can begin to visualize your high value tasks and make sure you complete them throughout the day.

CONCENTRATION ON YOUR HIGH VALUE ACTIVITIES

Your ability to work single-mindedly on your most important task will contribute as much to your success as any other discipline you can develop.

EXERCISE AND PROPER NUTRITION

Your health is more important than anything else. By disciplining yourself to exercise regularly and to eat carefully, you will promote the highest possible levels of health and fitness throughout your life.

LEARNING AND GROWTH

Your mind is like a muscle. If you don’t use it, you lose it. Continuous learning and personal growth is the minimum requirement for success in any field.

TIME FOR IMPORTANT PEOPLE IN YOUR LIFE

Relationships are everything. Be sure that in climbing the ladder of success, you do not find it leaning against the wrong building. Build time for your relationships into every day, no matter how busy you get.

HOW TO STOP PROCRASTINATING AND AVOID BEING CONSTANTLY TIRED

The fact is, your productivity begins to decline after eight or nine hours of work. For this reason, working long hours into the night, although it is sometimes necessary, means that you’re usually producing less and less in more and more time.

The more sleep deprived you become, the worse the quality of your work will be and the more mistakes you will make. At a certain point, you can reach “the wall” and simply be unable to continue, like a battery that is run down.

WORK AT YOUR OWN PACE

There are specific times during the day when you are at your best. You can learn how to stop procrastinating by identifying these times and discipline yourself to use them on your most important and challenging tasks.

Most people are at their best in the morning, after a good night’s sleep. Some people are better in the afternoon. A few people are most creative and productive in the evening or late at night.

A major reason for procrastination is fatigue or being constantly tired and sleep deprived. You have no energy or enthusiasm. Like a cold engine in the morning, you can’t seem to get yourself started.

Whenever you feel sleep deprived and overwhelmed with too much to do and too little time, stop yourself and just say, “All I can do is all I can do.”

Sometimes the very best use of your time is to go home early and go to bed and sleep for ten hours straight. This can completely recharge you and enable you to get two or three times as much done the following day, and of a far higher quality, than if you had continued working long into the night.

ACTION EXERCISE

These eight personal growth disciplines will ensure that you perform at the highest level and get the greatest satisfaction and results from everything you do. Study these eight personal growth disciplines and then make a plan for how you can incorporate each of them into your daily life.

Do you feel like you worry too much about every little thing that happens in your life? Are you so concerned that your worries will happen that you don’t live your life to the fullest?
The happiest people take a long-term view of life rather than allowing themselves to be caught up in the turmoil and details of each day.
They take things one day at a time. They teach themselves how to stop worrying by practicing a greater degree of detachment and thereby keep themselves calm and relaxed in the face of life’s little ups and downs.

HOW TO STOP WORRYING
You learn how to stop worrying and start living better by making a decision today to let go of problems and irritations that occurred in the past that you can do nothing about.
Decide to forgive and forget anybody who has hurt you in any way. Keep your attention focused on the future and where you are going, rather than on the past and who was to blame. Life is too short and you need to love yourself.

LOVE YOURSELF
You develop a better perspective on life by realizing and accepting that you are a thoroughly good person. You are honest, helpful, loyal, kind, compassionate and friendly. You can feel free to love yourself, respect yourself and be proud of yourself for the person you have become and for the life you are living. You don’t need to explain yourself or make excuses to anyone else.

99% OF THE THINGS YOU WORRY NEVER HAPPENS
One of the best ways to stop worrying and start living is to take things one day at a time. Forget what has happened in the past that you cannot change and don’t worry about what might happen in the future. 99% of the things that you worry about will never occur.

STOP WORRYING FORMULA

You can always use the “stop worrying” formula to clear your mind. If there is a problem in your life that is causing you to worry, remember that most things you worry about never happen anyway.

There are four steps to applying the worry buster to your situation to help you stop worrying.
1) Define your problem clearly. Accurate diagnosis is half the cure. What exactly are you worrying about?
2) Ask yourself, “What is the worst possible outcome of this situation?” Be clear about exactly what could happen.
3) Resolve to accept the worst possible outcome, should it occur. Whatever might happen, decide that you will be able to live with it. It won’t kill you. Take it one day at a time. Now you have found how to stop worrying.
4) Begin immediately to make sure that the worst possible outcome does not occur. Think of all the creative things you could do to minimize the worst possible occurrence. Pretty soon you will be thinking positively and creatively again and will be back in control of your life.

TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR THINKING
A sense of control is the key to a long and happy life. The more you feel in control of yourself and your life, the more you will love yourself and the happier you will be. The more you accept complete responsibility for every part of your health, happiness and relationships, the more in control you will feel, and the more powerful you will be.
The more in control you feel, the more confidence and personal pride you will have. The more you feel in control of your life, the higher will be your self-esteem, self-respect and personal pride. Resolve today that you are going to live a long and happy life.

START LIVING
This is the very best time in all of human history to be alive and you are one of the very best people to be alive at this time. Remember that the more things that you give thanks for, the more things you will have to give thanks for in the future.
The more you give of yourself without expectation of return, the more wonderful things that will come to you from the most unexpected sources.

Do you let it overwhelm you or do you flex your problem-solving muscles and figure out the best solution?
People who throw themselves at their problems often become frantic and confused. They take a haphazard approach to thinking, and then they are amazed when they find themselves floundering and making no progress.

THE 8 STEP CREATIVE PROBLEM SOLVING PROCESS
Here is a 8-step method you can use to think systematically. With this method, you develop your critical thinking and problem solving techniques to genius levels.

1) CHANGE YOUR LANGUAGE ABOUT THE PROBLEM FROM NEGATIVE TO POSITIVE
Instead of using the word problem, use the word situation or call it a challenge or an opportunity. The more positive your language is, the more confident and optimistic you will be when approaching any difficulty. The more creative and insightful you will be in identifying creative solutions and breakthrough ideas.

2) DEFINE THE SITUATION OR PROBLEM CLEARLY
What exactly is the challenge you are facing? What is causing you the stress and anxiety? What is causing you to worry? Why are you unhappy? Write it out clearly in detail.

3) USE CRITICAL THINKING TO APPROACH THE PROBLEM FROM SEVERAL DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS
Ask, “What else is the problem?” Don’t be satisfied with a superficial answer. Look for the root cause of the problem rather than get sidetracked by the symptom. Approach the problem from several different directions. Brainstorm different solutions, because there are likely multiple solutions to the same problem, not just one.

4) CLEARLY DEFINE THE IDEAL SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM
What exactly must the solution accomplish? What ingredients must the solution contain? What would your ideal solution to this problem look like? Define the parameters clearly.

5) PICK THE BEST SOLUTION TO SOLVE YOUR CHALLENGE/SITUATION
Pick the best solution by comparing your various possible solutions against your problem, on the one hand and your ideal solution, on the other. What is the best thing to do at this time under the circumstances?

6) MEASURE THE PROGRESS
Set measures on your decision. How will you know that you are making progress? How will you measure success? How will you compare the success of this solution against the success of another solution?

7) SET A DEADLINE
A decision without a deadline is a meaningless discussion. If it is a major decision and will take some time to implement, set a series of short-term deadlines and a schedule for reporting.
With the deadlines and sub-deadlines, you will know immediately if you are on track or if you are falling behind. You can then use your creative thinking to alleviate further bottlenecks or choke points.

8) TAKE ACTION/SOLVE THE SITUATION
The faster you move in the direction of your clearly defined goals, the more creative you will be. The more energy you will have. The more you will learn. And the faster you will develop your capacity to achieve even more in the future.

CONCLUSION
You can solve any problem, overcome any obstacle or achieve any goal that you can set for yourself by using your wonderful creative mind and then taking action consistently and persistently until you attain your objective. Success is a mark of a creative thinker, and when you use your ability to think creatively, your success can be unlimited.

Achieving a happy life can be placed in one of seven categories of success.
These seven ingredients to a happy life are considered with everything ever written or discovered on happiness, success and self-improvement. They characterize the life and accomplishments of all high-performing men and women. They include everything you could ever want.

HOW TO ACHIEVE YOUR IDEAL LIFE
Your ideal life is a blend of these seven ingredients to a happy life in exactly the combination that makes you the happiest at any particular moment.

By defining your success and happiness in terms of one or more of these seven ingredients, you create a clear target to aim at. You engage in positive thinking. You can then measure how well you’re doing. You can identify the areas where you need to make changes if you want self-improvement in your life.

1) PEACE OF MIND
The first of these seven ingredients to a happy life, and easily the most important, is peace of mind. It is the highest human good. Without it, nothing else has much value. Because of this, you strive for it all your life. You usually evaluate how well you are doing at any given time by how much inner peace you enjoy.
Peace of mind and positive thinking is essential for the optimal performance and happy life of all human groupings, from your relationships with your friends and family to the business and organizations in which you work.

2) HEALTH AND ENERGY
The second ingredient to a happy life is health and energy. Just as peace of mind is your normal and natural mental state, health and energy is your normal and natural physical state.

3) LOVING RELATIONSHIPS
The third ingredient to a happy life is loving relationships. These are relationships with people you love and care about, and the people who love and care about you. They are the real measure of how you are doing as a human being. Happiness or unhappiness in life comes from your relationships with others, and it is your relationships with others that make you truly human.

4) FINANCIAL FREEDOM
The fourth ingredient of a happy life and success is financial freedom. To be financially free means that you have enough money so that you don’t worry about it continually, as most people do. It is not money that lies at the root of all evil; it is the lack of money. Achieving your own financial freedom is one of the most important goals and responsibilities of your life. It is far too important to be left to chance.
A feeling of financial freedom is essential to your self-improvement and to the achievement of any other important goal and you cannot be truly free until and unless you have enough money that you are no longer preoccupied with it.

5) WORTHY GOALS AND IDEAS
The fifth ingredient of a happy life is setting worthy goals and ideals. Perhaps your deepest subconscious drive, according to Dr. Viktor E. Frankl, author of Man’s Search for Meaning, is the need for meaning and purpose in life. To be truly happy, you need a clear sense of direction. You need positive thinking to get there. You need a commitment to something bigger and more important than yourself. You need to feel that your life stands for something, that you are somehow making a valuable contribution to the world.
Happiness has been defined as “the progressive realization of a worthy ideal.” You can only be happy with yourself when you are working step by step toward something that is really important to YOU.

6) SELF KNOWLEDGE AND SELF-AWARENESS
The sixth ingredient to success and a happy life is self-knowledge and self-awareness. Throughout all of history, self-knowledge has gone hand in hand with inner happiness, positive thinking and outer achievement. To perform your best, you need to know who you are and why you think and feel the way you do.

7) PERSONAL FULFILLMENT
The seventh ingredient to a happy life is a sense of personal fulfillment. This is a feeling that you are becoming everything that you are moving toward. It is the realization of your full potential as a human being. Your happy life begins with self-improvement and ends with a personal fulfillment that you have accomplished all that you wanted to.

TAKE ACTION
Take the brush of your imagination and begin painting a masterpiece on the canvas of your life. It is for you to decide clearly what would make you the happiest in everything you are doing.
Decide what is right for you before you decide what is possible. Create your ideal life in every detail. Don’t be concerned about the process of getting from where you are to where you want to go. For now, just focus on positive thinking and creating a vision of your perfect future.

Why is it that some people have positive thinking patterns, while others do not? What determines your self-concept for success?

Many successful people have been interviewed over the years and asked the question, “What do you think about, most of the time?” Their answers are simple and consistent, and yet so profound that they can be life changing. In short, the habits of successful people revolve around positive thinking. They think about what they want, and how to get it.

Successful people have all concluded, one way or the other that the way your self-concept and mind is programmed from early childhood. Your self-concept plays a decisive role in almost everything you think, feel and accomplish as an adult. By learning these four habits of successful people, you too will become a successful person!

1. THE SELF-CONCEPT
Your self-concept is the “master program” of your subconscious computer. It acts as your mental operating system. Every thought, feeling, emotion, experience, and decision you have ever had is permanently recorded on this mental hard drive. Once recorded, these impressions then influence the way you think, feel and behave from that point onward.
Your self-concept precedes and predicts your levels of effectiveness in every area of your life. Your self-concept explains why the mental laws have such an inordinate effect on your personality.

2. HABITS OF SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE THROUGH SELF-CONCEPT
Once your self-concept in a particular area is formed, you always act in a manner consistent with it. You may have extraordinary ability in a particular area, but if your self-concept is poor in that area, you will always perform below your true potential. The habits of successful people are to have positive thinking and positive self-concepts in all areas of their life.
You have a self-concept for how well you speak in public. You have a self-concept for how popular you are. You have a self-concept for what kind of a spouse or partner you are. You have a self-concept for what kind of a parent you are. You have a self-concept for how well you perform in each sport or physical activity. You have a self-concept for how organized or disorganized you are. You have a self-concept for how well you manage your time and how productive you are. You have a self-concept for your ability to read, write and do mathematics.
In your business and career, you have a self-concept for every aspect of your financial life. Through positive thinking, you have a self-concept for how much you earn, and how hard you have to work to earn that amount of money. You have a self-concept for how rapidly you are promoted and how much your earnings increase year-by-year.

3. YOUR COMFORT ZONE
Whatever your self-concept, your habit of thinking with regard to money or any other area of performance, will become your “comfort zone.” Your comfort zone then becomes your greatest single obstacle to improved performance. Once you get into a comfort zone in any area, you will strive and struggle unconsciously to remain in that comfort zone, even though it may be vastly below what you are truly capable of achieving in that area.
The key to achieving your full potential and develop the same habits of successful people is for you to raise your self-concept in through positive thinking patterns. It is for you to develop new habits of positive thinking about what is possible for you. The way that you accomplish vastly more on the outside is by changing your thoughts and feelings about your potential in that area on the inside.

4. PROGRAM POSITIVE THINKING FOR GREATER SUCCESS
Your self-concept is your self-ideal. This is the ideal image or picture you have of yourself, as if you were already the very best person you could possibly be. Your self-ideal and self-concept is made up of your wishes, hopes, dreams, goals, and fantasies about your perfect future life, combined with the qualities and virtues that you admire most in yourself and in other people. Your self-ideal and self-concept is a composite through positive thinking of the very best person you could imagine yourself being, living the very best life you could possibly live.
High performing, successful, happy people have very clear self-ideals. They have clear ideas of what they like, respect and admire. They have clear ideals about the virtues, values and attributes of the superior men and women that they want to emulate. The most successful people have an uplifting, inspiring vision of what a truly excellent person looks like and how he or she behaves within their self-concept.

YOUR POTENTIAL IS UNLIMITED
You are a remarkable person, possessed of incredible untapped potentials and abilities. Whatever you have accomplished in life so far is only a shadow of what is truly possible for you. There are virtually no limits on what you can do, be and have except for the limits that you impose on yourself with your own thinking.
By following these four steps and by taking complete control of the development of your self-concept through positive thinking, you lay the foundation for the development that will enable you to accomplish more in the next few years than the average person accomplishes in a lifetime. By developing the habits of successful people you too will become a success.

These tips are very practical and easy to do, but they will be greatly beneficial to your success. Keep reading and I will show you how…

HOW TO MAKE 2015 AN AWESOME YEAR

One of your most valuable financial assets is your earning power. They call it your human capital or your intellectual property. What you have to do is constantly increase your earning ability.

When people start their professional lives usually most people have no earning ability, but after 10 or 20 years some are earning 20 to 50 times more than others, subsequently, some others have not progressed where they actually desire, however, starting point was the same for all in most of the cases.

WHATS THE SECRET?

The difference was that the top people based on years of research have continually learned new skills as they go through their careers. Every new skill increases your ability to get great results. It increases the value of your contribution. It increases your ability to earn more money.

If you want to earn more money in and accomplish your goals in 2015, create more value. It’s as simple as that.

HOW DO YOU MAKE 2015 YOUR AWESOME YEAR?

The only way you can create more value for yourself in 2015 is to learn and apply new skills that allow you to get better results. Results that people will pay you more and more to get.

1) HOW TO WRITE YOUR GOALS?

Some people don’t know where to start and wonder how to write goals. Ask yourself this question…

“Where do I want to be in 12 months?”

Write down 10 goals that you want to accomplish in the next 12 months of 2015. Look at your goals that you have written down and think to yourself, “If I could wave a magic wand, which one goal would have the greatest impact on my life.” For most of us, it’s a financial goal.

For some of us it might be a fitness goal, a relationship goal, or a business goal, but for most of us it is a financial goal. You can still use these tips on any goal.

2) PICK ONE SKILL AT A TIME

Write it down very clearly and set a date. Then make a list of everything that you can do to achieve this goal. Then, the next question you want to ask is,

“What one skill will help me the most to achieve this goal?”

Think about all of the skills that you have and find out one skill. Focus on learning one skill that can help you achieve your most important goal.

This formula is the reason why people go from the bottom to the top of anything. The most successful people are very clear on where you want to go.

You must have a very clear goal. Then you must be very clear about the skills you must acquire that will get you there. When you acquire new skills, it helps you climb the ladder of success, every new step of the ladder increases your earning potential.

When you increase your earning ability, you open up new opportunities for yourself. Keep adding new skills and keep growing to achieve your most important goal.

3) PRODUCTIVELY MANAGE YOUR TIME

Today we are overwhelmed with too much to do in too little time.

You must plan every day in advance…

The simplest way to do this is to make a list of everything that you have to do in your coming day. If you are going to invest your time into anything, you want to do the thing that gives you the greatest return on energy, or your mental and physical energy.

Some people work all day and make a few dollars and some people work all day and make thousands of dollars.

Which one do you want to be?

Make a list of everything that you have to do in the coming day and identify your most important task. Which one item will have the greatest value in your work? The greatest value in achieving your main goal? Work on this task first. Work on it until it is 100% complete.

CONCLUSION

Focus on your most important goal in 2015 by developing skills to achieve it. Manage your time by completing the most important tasks first and develop a new habit of completing your most important task first.

If you do follow these tips, I promise that you will have great success in 2015 and develop great habits for years to come.

Your ability to persuade and influence people to help you get the things you want in life is one of the most important skills you can develop. By learning how to persuade and influence people, you can achieve greater personal power and get more of the things you want faster than anything else you do. It can mean the difference between success and failure. It can guarantee your progress and enable you to use all of your other skills and abilities at the very highest level. Learning how to persuade people will earn you the support and respect of your customers, bosses, co-workers, colleagues and friends. The ability to influence others to do what you want them to do can make you one of the most important people in your community.

Your job is to become absolutely excellent at influencing and motivating others to support and assist you in the achievement of your goals and the solving of your problems. All truly effective people have mastered the art of getting lots of other people to work with and for them in the accomplishment of their objectives. You can learn this skill set to achieve personal power and master the art of influencing others.

LEARN TO INFLUENCE PEOPLE TO HELP YOU:

You have a choice: You can either influence others or you can be influenced by them.

You can learn how to influence people to your way of thinking and to helping you, or you can simply let yourself be persuaded to the ways of thinking of others and to helping them.

This is the real difference between personal power and feeling powerless. Between being an active agent and being a victim. It is the difference between being a leader or a follower. Learning how to influence others on a consistent basis makes you feel strong and effective. Every time you achieve a goal with the help and cooperation of one or more other people, you feel more competent and capable. You feel like a winner.

But each time you fail to get results through or with others, every time your efforts are frustrated, your sense self-efficacy is diminished and your self-esteem and your self-confidence go down.

The men and women with the highest levels of self-confidence are those who, through hard work and experience, have reached the point where they have become very skilled in working effectively with different kinds of people to achieve their goals. This is the key to personal power and building relationships.

YOU CAN EITHER PERSUADE OTHERS TO HELP YOU OR BE PERSUADED TO HELP THEM:

The opposite of being influential is having little or no influence at all on the behaviors of other people. It is the difference between being powerful and being powerless. You can either persuade others to help you or be persuaded to help them. It is one or the other. Most people are not aware that every human interaction involves a complex process of persuasion and influence. And being unaware, they are usually the ones being persuaded to help others rather than the ones who are influencing people to help them.

All successful people with personal power are persuasion experts. They give a lot of thought to how they can get other people to help them. They plan and strategize before they act. They define their goals clearly and then they choose the people whose cooperation they will need to achieve those goals. They then think about what they will have to do in return to get the other people to help them. They achieve their goals of persuasion and influence indirectly.

The key to persuasion is motivation. Every human action is motivated by something. In order to learn how to persuade others, you must find out what motivates other people and then to provide that motivation. People have two major motivations: the desire for gain, and the fear of loss. The desire for gain motivates people to want more of the things they value in life. They want more money, more success, more health, more influence, more respect, more love and more happiness.

Human wants are limited only by individual imagination. No matter how much a person has, he or she still wants more and more. When you can show a person how he or she can get more of the things he or she wants by helping you achieve your goals, you can motivate them to act in your behalf and achieve greater personal power.

LEARN TO PERSUADE OTHERS BY DEVELOPING PERSONAL POWER:

You can learn how to persuade others and can develop your personal power by always remembering that there are only two ways to get the things you want in life, you can do it all yourself, or you can get most of it done by others. Your ability to communicate, persuade, negotiate, influence, delegate and interact effectively with other people will enable you to develop leverage using other people’s efforts, other people’s knowledge and other people’s money. The development of your personal power will enable you to become one of the most powerful and influential people in your organization. By learning how to persuade and influence people, it will open up doors for you in every area of your life.

Your own personal power is ALWAYS available to you… You just have to choose to use it by becoming the power point in your life.
