Marlee is house-trained, crates well, likes to ride in the car, and gets along with his black lab foster sister. He loves to be close, following you from room-to-room, but is content to lay at your feet. He’s just so sweet and gentle! Marlee would be a good fit for a less active lifestyle. He is still young and needs some manners, but is a good listener and responds well to training. Sam is house trained, and will nudge you if you are asleep and he needs to go outside. He loves to go for walks and ride in the car; if you open a car door, he jumps in immediately! Sam is going to make someone an awesome companion! We pulled Sam from the shelter and he is really loving his foster home and playing with his dog friends there. He’s a handsome boy with classic, noble Basset features. Try this Sweet Superbowl Snack Recipe from Fogelman CARES!

With the Superbowl right around the corner, you may be beginning to think about what you’ll be doing for the big game. If you decide to have a small gathering at your Steeplechase apartment, one thing to keep in mind is that people don’t just come for the football, they also come for the food! Here’s a sweet recipe from our Fogelman CARES Cookbook to get you started:

Crisp Mix Sweet Minglers

1 package (6oz 1 cup) semi-sweet chocolate morsels
¼ cup peanut butter
½ cup peanuts (optional)
6 cups KELLOGGS’S CRISPIX cereal
1 cup powdered sugar

In large microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate at HIGH 1 minute. Stir and heat 30 seconds longer at HIGH or until melted when stirred. Stir in peanut butter and peanuts. Gently Stir in KELLOG’S CRISPIX cereal, until evenly coated.

Place powdered sugar in 2-gallon zipper-type plastic bag. Add coated cereal to sugar and close bag. Gently toss cereal mixture until evenly coated. Store mix in an airtight container in refrigerator.

**Microwave cooking times may vary.

Experience the Art of Japanese Printmakers at UT Knoxville

The Redefining the Multiple art exhibit will feature installation art and much more.

Whether you already have an interest in Japanese printmaking, or you would like to learn about something completely new, you’ll definitely want to check out the “Redefining the Multiple: 13 Japanese Printmakers” exhibit at the Ewing Gallery of Art & Architecture at the University of Tennessee Knoxville.

This show is going on January 19 through March 1, and will feature the works of 13 printmakers from Japan in the styles of three-dimensional objects and installations, paintings made with printmaking tools and techniques, prints made with digital photography and technology, and traditional printmaking methods.

On Thursday, January 19 at 7:30 p.m., participating artist and co-corator Hideki Kimura will give a lecture with a reception to follow. All of these events are free and open to the public.
