Portland Police Chase Impeded By Family Of Ducks…

What?

It was a dark and stormy morning. There was a “speeder” going 52mph in a 35mph zone caught on radar by a Portland policeman. So the policeman started the chase.

On went the sirens…

…then he saw the mama duck and her ducklings in the middle of the road.

Watch this to see what happens…

The “speeder” got away, but the family of ducks was saved. That’s pretty awesome. It was the “speeder’s” lucky day! And the ducks were saved.

Who’s the Lucky Duck here?

hmmm…

Yay ducks! And the “speeder” doesn’t even know how lucky he (or she) is!

What I like to do is share videos on my blog. It’s a great way to make some passive income. Well, maybe not super passive since I do spend about an hour a day doing this. But the income is pretty good for an hour of work!

I love working at home.

Just yesterday I was able to go to the San Diego Safari Park with my 1st grader and her class for a field trip. It was really fun. Exhausting but super fun. If I had a full-time job I wouldn’t have been able to do that without calling in sick. And they’d find out that I wasn’t really sick and instead I was at the Safari Park and I’d get in trouble or maybe they’d even fire me… Yikes!

Here’s the video I shot yesterday at the Safari Park. I had help from some of the first graders…which didn’t help my train of thought… but it’s a video none the less. (It’s day 9 of my video challenge.)

I love dogs. One time I was working as manager for an Express store in Seattle. I was at the back of the store working the cash register. The next person in line had this big huge nose… it was a Great Dane! Super cute. But really, did the owner really need to bring a Great Dane into a retail store? (It was one of those outdoor malls.) Great Danes aren’t really “purse” dogs!

Space Oddity in Space

I am a huge fan of David Bowie, so when I saw this video I just had to share it with you.

Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield has served the Internet and nerd community well while on the International Space Station, creating many entertaining and educational viral videos directly from Space.

Before his return, he thought it fitting to end with some music. Obviously, the most appropriate song to cover in space is David Bowie’s Space Oddity.

This is also happens to be a world record as the first music video recorded on the International Space Station and in Space in general.

This video is truly stunning with the shots of earth and inside the ISS. How awesome!

The resulting music video is truly stunning, and has instantly caught viral fever, already appearing on CBSNews, CNet, and TheVerge.

Wasn’t that incredible?

I have fun sharing viral videos on my blog to earn an additional stream of income. It’s something you can do too.

My husband’s father traveled a lot for work, so he didn’t see a whole lot of him. Plus the regular 9-5 job. But his mom was a homemaker. So thankfully he had her around a lot.

I was raised by a single mom. So I spent after school in the day care center. I spent summers at different friend’s houses around the city. Never saw my dad. Only saw my mom after she got home from work and on weekends.

This is why I feel so blessed to work from home.

This Pitbull in Russia really wants to get a stick…a branch still attached to the tree.

My thought when watching this videos is, “What would you do to get what you want?” Do we do whatever it takes to get the things we want?

Take the example of this cute dog. She found what she wants. She grabbed hold of it. And she’s not letting go until she gets it.

Do what it takes to make your dreams come true. Perseverance!

Does she ever get the stick? My guess is that she does. She wasn’t going to quit until she got it. We should do that too with our dreams. Don’t quit until your dreams come true.

Arguing Dogs

Even before I saw this video I’ve wanted a Husky dog. Not sure that I want two though. I already have two girls who argue. So I don’t want dogs that argue too. Wouldn’t you agree?

Mishka and her family have gotten a lot of press because of her “speaking” talents. That’s so awesome.

There are so many ways to make money online. Mishka’s family is making some great money by making videos of their dog. They found a niche and have stuck with it. Now they’ve been on TV and have even partnered up with Disney (because I’ve seen Mishka on a Disney video on YouTube)!

Cat Loves Vacuum!

I saw this video on CNN this morning. It looks like it’s brought out a bunch of controversial comments on YouTube.

I’d love to know your thoughts on this event… the Hungry Camel. Was he hungry or just being playful?

I’m with the people who think the parents are doing well to not freak out about it. But I would have been one of the first to roll up the window.

I am blessed to be able to work at home with my husband. We work at home together and are here for our kids during the day (when they’re home from school).

In part 1 we learned that we need to work harder on yourself than you do on your job.

In part 2 we learned that we need to measure our results. Make measurable progress in reasonable time.

OK. Let’s get into part 3 of how to have your best year ever.

Wow! Are you ready to put this into action?

Here are the 4 steps that will turn your DAY around…which will turn your LIFE around!

1. Disgust. You’ve had it! It’s negative but can have such a powerful effect on you. You’re just fed up with how your life is. How you don’t have enough money. How the bill collectors keep calling. How you missed another one of your child’s presentations at school. How your boss is so demeaning. How your car won’t start again. YOU’VE HAD IT! Get Disgusted with your life.

2. Decision. Make that decision TODAY. All change happens with a decision. Today decide to do something different. It doesn’t have to be big. Just do something different. Do it again tomorrow. Keep doing that something different until you start to see changes happening. It all starts with the decision you make today.

3. Desire. Wanting to bad enough. Sometime desire waits for a trigger. Welcome all experiences because one of them might be THE ONE! Have the desire to change. Have the desire to become something better. Have the desire to grow.

4. Resolve. I WILL. Two of the most powerful words ever. Promise yourself you will NEVER GIVE UP. Never give up until you have achieved what you set out to achieve.

This is part 2 of Jim Rohn’s How to Have the BEST Year Ever. If you missed part 1, click here. In part 1 we learned the secret. The secret is…

Learn to work harder on yourself than you do on your job.

Now let’s hear what pearls of wisdom he has to share with us in part two of how to have the best year ever.

Ladies and gentlemen, Jim Rohn:

Wow!

Here’s what I got from that…

Results. Measure your results daily, weekly, monthly, annually. Ask yourself these questions…

How much money have you saved and invested in the past 5 years?

How many books have you read in the past 90 days? (Check out this blog post by my friend Pam for a list of 12 books that will make you money.)

In the last 6 months how many classes have you taken to improve your life?

Results is the name of the game!

Make measurable progress in reasonable time.

If you aren’t seeing results in your life…put on the pressure.

And check your results often.

Let that sink into your thoughts. Think about what that means.

Now take action. Check your results. If you don’t like what you see, make a change.

Last year I didn’t like what I saw in my life. We kept doing the same thing and nothing was changing. So I took my 9-year-old daughter and went to T. Harv Eker’s Millionaire Mind Intensive. We learned how to get rid of the limiting beliefs we have. We learned how to think like a millionaire. We learned ways to make money. We TOOK ACTION and are making changes in our lives.

This year I have started listening to a mastermind call daily. We are going through the book, Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. I AM TAKING ACTION. I am changing my daily thoughts and images in my head. I am on a path to a brighter future for myself and my family.

Check your results. If you don’t like what you see, make some changes. TAKE ACTION! That’s the only way you will see changes.
