Zoom extension for Safari

The Zoom is one of my favorite Chrome extensions, it's very accurate and simple to use then the Google Chrome built-in zoom feature.

Today this Zoom extension is also available for the Safari web browser, you get all the features just like in the Chrome/Opera extension. That is the popup with the slider inside, to increase or decrease the zoom value on the current web page. With the three buttons to zoom in / out and to go back to the default value.

This update brings some new innovations for the Turn Off the Lights browser extension. You can only find that here, nowhere else. The update brings a combination of motion and speech together, in the view that all my users could have a great online experience.

What's new in this major update:

Linear Background

Now, you can change the only one solid color to your own linear background. That can display a smooth transition between two colors, from the top black to the down gray page for instance.

Atmosphere Lighting: Vivid Mode

This is one the most extensive feature which makes the video’s content go outside the video player. The vivid mode display the atmosphere lighting effect in a more beautiful and realistic accent. See below the ad about the Vivid Mode feature on the YouTube website.

Camera Motion

When you enable this feature, you can dim the lights in a new way. When you move you hand (or fist) from the top to down, the webcam device.
The webpage automatically darkens. You can also enable this feature only for YouTube, or on the websites you chose.

Speech Recognition

Now, you can talk again to the browser lamp extension. Because when you say one of the following commands: "turn off the lights", "turn on the lights", "play video" and "pause video", it will understand them and obey directly on your browser.

Refinement Interface

What's new in this major update:

Speech Recognition

When you enable this functionality in the settings, you can talk to this Windows Store app. You can say to it one of the following commands: "play video", "pause video", "previous video", "next video", "mute video", "volume video", "open video wall", "close video wall". Indeed, this app will understand you, and will directly respect your orders.

When you will speak to my application, it will display below a translucent black bar going along with a microphone icon.

Improvement Design

This brings a few improvements in the design to make browse a video in your library when you are playing a video and when you are opening the bottom bar. Also, when you click or tape on the home button, the video’s size will automatically decrease and it will move at the bottom left of your screen. Then, if you scroll to look for a video in your video library, the video player will always stay on this position at the screen.
If you want to back to the normal video view, click on the video player or on the gray status block. To finish, it returns to this impressive viewing experience.

The video wall is now cooler and have a space-like theme. You can see below the earth with his natural light, caused by the collision of a solar wind and magnetospheric charged of particles of the high altitude atmosphere.

All the settings flyout menu have also a more white translucent background, so you have a sense of content below the setting flyout menu.

Stefan updated today the Turn Off the Lights browser extension to v2.3 and introduce a new great feature.
Overall, this browser extension has more than 50 amazing features inside. Such as the Atmosphere Lighting, Dynamic Background, Eye Protection and the customizable options for the YouTube website. That included the AutoHD and AutoWide mode.

The Night Mode
This new feature helps you easily make the page more darker with a single click on the Night Mode button, that is located bottom left of the page. When you click on the button, it automatically replaces the white (CSS) background for example in the YouTube website to a black background color.

This feature is compatible for YouTube and the Google Search website. Default this feature is disabled for existing users, but to use this feature enable the Night Mode in the Turn Off the Lights option page.

The New Look

New Features

With Windows 8 you have more controls of your video player. All the important tools are in the bottom app bar. To open the app bar swipes from the top or bottom edge of the screen, or right click with your mouse.

Repeat Button

This button makes it possible to repeat the current YouTube video when the video is just finished playing, so you must not click again on the play button.

Auto Wide Mode

When you open a YouTube video, this will make automatic the video screen larger. So you can enjoy your video on the big screen.

Automatic Stop the Playing YouTube Video

Default all YouTube videos playing automatically when you open the webpage, but now you can automatically stop the playing video when you open a new YouTube video. And press self manually on the play button.

Auto HD

To have a great video experiment we add an option to automatically show first the most highest resolution of the video. In addition you can specify also self the video quality with one of the below settings:

Share Bar

Now you can easily share every web page to your friends. And share it with the three most used and known platform, Facebook, Twitter and Google+.

Freeze the screen

This is an Easter Egg feature in the application, when you click on this button. If freeze automatic the whole screen. And the freezing will stop until you see the unfreeze button. Now you can make the screen cleaner by swiping with your finger or with one click on the single button.

Recently Google to remove black bar in favor of new "App Launcher". And most people don't like the new way from Google.

The most popular Turn Off the Lights browser extension receive again a summer update (v2.2.0.5). The topic for this summer update is to make this extension more comfortable and entertainment for the users.

Custom rectangle size
Most users use my special mouse options to highlight a text part or image. And the users love this feature very much. But now you can do even more, when you created the rectangle you can change now easy the size of the rectangle. When you mouse is over an border, hold down the mouse button and drag it.

Spotlight
Want it bigger? Now in my Turn Off the Lights option page, you can choose self the size of the search light feature.

Sneak preview of the future
The web is still growing and most video sites will use the latest HTML5 technology. Also YouTube is using this technology to make his video site available on all platform.

Aurora Player Windows Store App
That's the new video player for Windows 8. Here you can play your favorite videos in the ambient light player. This month we add a whole new video wall style, and bring improvement in the player. By adding a seekbar and increase the length of the playlist. Also now there is an option to show the subtitle, and there is an option to add a stars background behind the video player.

Zoom Chrome extension
This is a Chrome extension that add an extra button in your Google Chrome browser, so you can zoom in or out with two clicks. But now you can do it even with just one click and a scroll up or down. Because now it detect the scroll event, to zoom in or out the web page. And it make direct live changes to the web page.

Turn Off the Lights Windows Store App
The most knowed browser extension but kindly here in a new browser with a lamp button. There we have improve the loading of the wrong URL format. And add an option to change the homepage URL to your favorite start page.

The Opera 12.10 browser is just amazing, and so also the "Turn Off the Lights" Opera extension update.

Add Retina icon
Add Context menu

You can now see the lamp icon better on your retina Macbook Pro. Because we update the logo for the Retina display. Opera on Mac supports twice the pixel density. And also you can now right click on a webpage to dim or undim the page.

We so excited for this Friday, because Microsoft will releases the Windows 8 and Windows RT to the general public.

Also now we create a new app: Turn Off the Lights, that's now available in the Windows Store!

What does it do?
Just like the most popular browser extension, it dark the webpage and bring focus to the video element. Here it focus only the HTML5 video player. Also this Windows Store App have the amazing "Atmosphere Lighting" feature inside.

Aurora Player Windows Store App

With just under a month to go until Microsoft releases Windows 8 and Windows RT to the general public.

We have create a new entertainment app that use the part of the most popular Turn Off the Lights browser extension.
The new app is better then the default Windows Store Xbox Video app. This app add an ambient light effect around the video element and it have a dark background. And also it include a playlist.

We call it: Aurora Player, that's now available in the Windows Store!

Tips for Using Aurora Player in Windows 8:

Launch the app and if the app found a video in your default video folder. Then it show this video in the video wall.
Doesn't see a video? Click on the open file button, and select your video file(s).
When you are playing a video, it show the real color effect from the video content self. And not an one solid color.

You can easy swap the app to left or right side of the screen. So you can see the playlist.
And below you will see all the basic buttons to control the video player.

In the charms menu you can click or tap "Settings" and then on "Player Options". On this page you can change the spread value and the blur value of the light effects, background color or background image and much more.

Finance Toolbar browser extension receive this month his first big update. Now you can customize more the toolbar. Such as choose you own font family for the stocks text... etc.

What's New?

Order Stock Place

Finance Toolbar - Stocks

It's now possible to choose the order of the stock that must show first in the toolbar. When you are in the "Finance Toolbar" option page, you see an overview table of all you stocks. Then select a stock and click on the "move up" or "move down" button to choose the position in the toolbar.

Font Family
It's also possible to change the font family of the displaying text. You can change it to following family:

DS Point
Arial
Impact
Sans-serif
Times New Romans
Verdana

Font Size

Finance Toolbar - Font

Do you want to change the text height in the toolbar? Go to the "Finance Toolbar" option page, there you can change easy the font size pixel to a lower or higher value.

New Default Stocks
Also we add two new stocks in default list. This is the Dow Jones Industrial Aver and the S&P 500.
But you can easy add more stocks if you want, just open the option page and type theire stock name.
And click on the "Add" button.

Finance Toolbar is available for Google Chrome, Safari and Firefox.

This is feature is default disable in my option page, because i believe in a clean design to focus the video on a webpage without distraction.
