It's been a long time since the last time I'm wearing a mini skirt. It felt awkward at first when I put it on, but after several hours I finally got used to it again. Red is currently being my favorite color, so I put it on almost everything including my outfit and makeup. I even took my red lipstick by LT Pro everywhere, haha.

Nothing much happened in my life lately, except that I've lost weight (1 kg, man :( But still... yeay!) and next week I will be flying to Medan for a friend's wedding. Other than that, it's just the usual work things. Bo~ring, hahaha. *pity laugh*

Never thought I would do this : wearing a bra outside! Haha. Remember my last post about changes? This was one of the experiment I've been wanting to do since I have no idea when. My sister of course laughed at me but, whatever! :p It's not literally a bra tho. It's more like a bralette, which is quite different, okay *still making an excuse*

DO CHANGE - #ootd #thoughts

Lately I found myself always ended up wearing this tee for almost any occasion. It's been one of my current favorites and I mix it up with almost everything, from those glamour pieces like velvet and lace to these comfy denim and vintage checked blazer I inherited from my grandma. If you know me, you probably will be surprised by the total amount of tees I've welcomed to my closet recently because honestly, I've never considered wearing any tees as part of my outfit before. Back then when I was in college, I was known as a 'vintage girl' whose clothes are mostly made of chiffon, lace, and anything pretty. But look at me now. I'm wearing Iron Maiden tee! Who would have ever thought?

I think the term 'people do change' is totally true. You know, you can't stay as the 'current you' forever. I believe in changes for good, as long as it doesn't change our true selves and help us improved. We need changes so that we will know what works and doesn't work on us, in our lives. Change means letting ourselves splashed with new opportunities and see what we can achieve from there. Change means challenging ourselves to try on new things and never make regret as part of our live. And in this case, change is something I'm currently doing to see how far I can dress my self up as crazy as I need. Because hey, we only live once, so why do we limit ourselves? If dressing up is the way we show our true selves and have fun, then do it!

I'm lately tired of some people who only judge a person based on his/her look. If you see a girl dyed her hair pink, it doesn't instantly make her as a bad girl, no. If you see a boy wears heels, it doesn't mean you can't be friends with him just because he's different. I think the people who have done things like that deserve an applause because of the courage they have. Just so you know, changes are not always easy at first. It may make us nervous, or even scare some people off. But once we get through it, we will enjoy every tiny pleasure we get and appreciate things we've learned so far. I, too, am currently having this moment of truth.

The thing is, there's nothing wrong with changes. It doesn't need to be a huge one, because even in small changes we can learn something and also, have fun with it! Just keep try and try and try untill we get the one that suit us the most, the one that finally will make us say,"This is it, this is what I've been searching for and thank God I tried!"

And oh, never change for the sake of other people! Change for ourselves because the one who are living it are our own selves. This is what I've always hold on, hehe.

So I guess that's it for today. Thank you so much for reading my babbling and I hope you guys never get tired to visit! I'm not trying to patronizing here, just wanna let you guys know what I think about changes. If you have any stories about new things you try or any good changes that happen in your life, tell me, because I would love to hear it!

In fact, I am even listening to it right now while writing this post. On repeat! If you were my sister, you would probably hate me for singing it out loud every day and night. Haha.

RESTING SUNDAY - #ootd

It's great to have your sister around! She's been with me for like a month now, and we spent most of our weekends strolling around city and cute cafes (that explains my consistency in updating this blog, lol). We were actually planning to go to a cafe today, but apparently she is not feeling well so we need to cancel it. Besides, putting some makeup on and look fabulous every weekend is quite tiring too, haha. We decided to rest a bit today and dedicated our Sunday to watch tv series. So much need to be finished!

This was my look last week when we met our childhood friends, Wilona and Disa. Wilona was my classmate in primary school, and Disa was my sister's. I'm glad nothing feels awkward when we finally met, although we haven't seen each other in years. Probably because that's what the real friends are. You'll never lose the 'connection'. We even accidentally coodinated in the same color palette! (You saw it on my Instagram story). Not too much alike tho, but you can see some pink, blue and green in our look. I'm being exaggerating, I know. Haha.

WHAT I WORE TO WORK - #ootd

When you work in media, specifically in fashion, wearing whatever you like could be an endless pleasure. This is actually one of the reasons why I love working in this industry. I took my biker jacket that morning, just because I actually don't know what to wear. Someone once said that a biker jacket could be a life saviour, and I think it's definitely true! It completely boosted up my casual look! So eventhough I was wearing my sister's jumpsuit, which made me look a lil bit like a kindegaden kid, people can still see me as an adult woman who can pay rent by herself. Haha.

By the way, I'm writing this post between coverage, because I need to stop myself from eating too much cake (Free food! Another reason why I love this job!). I am also a kind of lone wolf when it comes to coverage, actually. I don't know... Just kinda hard to socialize when everybody around you seems to know each other already, while you don't. Maybe next time. But other than that, I pretty much love today's coverage tho. It was held by Wardah, called Wardah Road to IFW 2017. Many cool Indonesian fashion designers involved in this, such as Zaskia Sungkar, Barli Asmara, Dian Pelangi, Ria Miranda and Ivan Gunawan. It is so exciting to finally see them for real! (Except kak Barli, I've met him twice, he's such a lovely person!)

Hello again!

I'm terribly sorry for leaving quite long. Well you know... this and that. I don't wanna promise anything like I'll be consistent in making posts again because I know I'm not capable enough... for now hehe.

So let's get back to the story of this post!

I've always been curious to go to Little Tokyo, an area around Blok M, Jakarta, where we can find sooo many Japanese cuisines there. It feels like the real Tokyo! Or maybe Osaka. Nah, I don't really know, I've never been there but, oh well... You know what I mean. We stopped by this small restaurant (I guess...?) with the red wall and me and my sister was immediately attracted to it! We spent like an hour to take pictures. The sun flare was really beautiful, it would be such a waste to not getting an advantage of it. I believe you guys who love taking #ootd shots will totally agree with me :D

Oh, do you see my Iron Maiden tee? My friends sneered me because I'm actually not a fan of Iron Maiden. I've tried to listen to them songs but I just couldn't get it, sorry :( At least I've tried tho, haha. The reason I like this tee is because it gives a 90s vibe to my look. And there's nothing wrong with liking something by its coolness, right? Of course, the fact that band tee is on trend now is kinda part of my reason too, but it's just like 30% of it. Really!

Here's what I forgot to keep in mind lately : casual outfits are the comfiest one! Fashion has been rotating too fast recently, there are just too many trends popping up, making us always feel the need to follow up them all and trying too hard. And I'm kinda tired of it. So here I am, going out in the hoodie I found at thrift store few weeks ago! It's comfy and very easy to pull off too. Hope I'm not look like I just get out of the bed, haha.

Some Indonesians might think that wearing red and white combination on an outfit makes us look silly, because it reminds us too much about that elementary school uniforms, or simply because we don't wanna look like a walking national flag on the street. I was one of them, 'till I found how cool this red bomber jacket when you paired it with a simple white shirt. Suddenly the red and white combo became my obsession that day. It was two days after our Independence Day (or for the Indonesians, it is better known as 'Tujuh Belasan'), and I wore this outfit to Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week RTW 2016, proudly. None of these items were made in Indonesian, tho haha, but at least I looked like a walking Indonesian flag. I didn't mind. I loved it.

ANOTHER FIRST EXPERIENCE - #traveldiary

I finally entered one of the fun parts of my jobs : travelling across country! Although it's just to Malaysia for KLFW 16 coverage, but I pretty much enjoyed being there. There were five other medias from Indonesia who were also invited by AirAsia to cover the Grand Finale of AirAsia Runway Ready Designer Search 2016. As my very first time coverage abroa, I wasn't expected to have such this cool experience before! The other reporters were so friendly and fun to hang out with, we even went shopping and took #ootd pictures together. I also finally made myself to that iconic Menara Kembar Petronas!

A week is almost over and I spent most of my time staying at home. You'd probably be like, "What? You're taking a leave for a week just to stay at home?". Well, welcome to my kind of paradise, dear! So far I'm satisfied with this relaxing week because I finally have time for my self and doing some things that has been delayed for quite a while : writing some blog posts (you'll see it soon!), singing Ariana's songs loudly full album, filling my stomach with loads and loads of durian (yeahh!), watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S season 6 all day (finally Bruce Willis showed up!) and managed to upload some of my styling works at Steller (click here!).

So what are you guys gonna do if you have a week of day off? Would you just stay at home like me, or you'd rather go somewhere fun? Tell me on the comment below!

I'm currently in Medan, y'all! I hope taking a week of leave dedicated to my personal life won't be a bad idea because to be honest, I've been wanting to do this for quite a long time. I feel like somehow I need to be somewhere else other than the places I usually be. So when my friend told me that she'll be married in Medan I just thought, why don't I took this opportunity? And here I am!

And oh, these pictures were taken while I was on duty, haha. Remember the post I told you about Bank Indonesia Museum? Well, I came back! We took pictures outside because I think the white wall is great, plus we need a kind of refreshment. Meanwhile the outfit was just something I decided to wear randomly in the morning because I was in a hurry, but I love everything tho, from the shirt, fringed denim, to this cap! I feel like my personal style is getting more casual these days I have no idea why. Maybe I'm facing a style transition? Well, let's just see!

After seeing so many Instagram posts of people at Dia.Lo.Gue Kemang, I finally made myself there with Arum and Tata. Turned out the three of us were Dia.Lo.Gue virgin a.k.a were having our very first time there. The place is pretty cool and Instagramable, it's very 'today'. Plus, there was a little exhibition too with all those Drake's Hotline Bling kinda vibe, which I'll be posting right after this post. So I guess... I'll see you?

You know, I'm not a Catholic, but this cathedral just has something that enticing me to go there. If you live in Jakarta you might have already know about this cathedral located at Katedral street. My friend, Tata, usually go there every Sunday for the service, so I just decided to went with her and Arum before we started our day strolling around Glodok and Kota Tua (as you've seen on my previous post). It was the second time I visit it actually. The last time I went there was with Sarah, and we just took pictures outside, and that made me wondering how it feels like to be inside of it. But now that my curiousity has been answered, I am contented!

So apparently I didn't take much pictures at Bank Indonesia Museum, lol. But I can say that this place is so much interesting since you're able to enjoy the history of Indonesian economy in such a cool way. There are sculptures telling the stories about the economy situation in Indonesia when we were colonized back then, and also so many cool lighting effect and projected videos that made me feel like I was filming Ariana's The Way music video, haha. Definitely A MUST VISIT!

Spent the holiday with two of my office mates, Arum and Tata around Glodok and Kota Tua on last Sunday. It turned out you don't have to go to Malaysia or Singapore to feel the China Town vibe, we have it all in Glodok! Our main focus was to taste some good food and taking some pictures by walking. But I'm sorry, I forgot to take the picture of the food. Too busy tasting them all! I recommend the grassjelly ice at Petak Sembilan and homemade mochi at Chandra market, they taste soooo good! I'll share more pictures of our next destination at Bank Indonesia Museum, Kota Tua on the next post.

Ah, hello again! It's Sunday and I can't believe I don't have to worry about Monday because hell yeah, we're having a long holiday over here! Feel like I'm gonna cry happily, haha. By the way neighborhood is getting deserted since most of the people are going back to their hometown. It's getting harder to buy meal for lunch and dinner too and now I feel bad because of my lack skill of cooking. I need a great cook as my future husband.
