She keeps that train rolling on her single today. The ragged and hypnotic "All Around The Street Corners" finds her backed by the ER Band: Dustin Burrows on guitar and organ, Daniel Provenzano on bass, and Richie Charles on drums. If you enjoy the sound of a band locking in on the root note and getting real filthy, you will probably dig this.

Now, a new event celebrating America's 250th anniversary has entered the conversation. America250, a nonprofit group established by Congress a decade ago, will be hosting a concert in Los Angeles on July 4 with performances from the Smashing Pumpkins and Chris Stapleton.

Philadelphia glitch masters Cold Court are back with the new single "Cola." It's their final single, following "Burn" and "Backslang," from their forthcoming EP \ (^_^) / that's out this Friday. "Cola," which was the last song that Mini Serrano and Jojo Lavina-Maldonado worked on for the project, has some shrill, shredded piano woven in there and some thick-necked synth work that recalls Justice. It's vivid on the level of an abstract impressionist painting.

When I see the words "Greek metal," the first act I think of is Rotting Christ, the great Athens black metal band that's been making sacrilegious, lightly Satanic music sound ancient and tribal for decades. But now, a very different metal warrior has emerged from the nation of Greece: Father Dionysios Tabakis, a 53-year-old Greek Orthodox priest who makes devotional microtonal drone music at home and who has never played a live show. Earlier this year, he released his debut album Paradise Metal, a strange and expansive record that has become a bit of an internet sensation.

In the past, I've referred to Fousheé as an alt-R&B singer. That's a pretty vague genre tag, but it doesn't really apply anymore. No genre tag does. Fousheé seems perfectly happy wandering all over the map, and she's made some extremely cool music along the way. Last year, Fousheé teamed up with Yung Lean and Iceage's Elias Rønnenfelt on the one-off single "Little Gods." Fousheé and Rønnenfelt did a Smerz remix together, too. Today, Fousheé releases "Drive," the new song that Rønnenfelt produced.

Last year, though, Morrissey claimed that he was the victim of a "decades-long campaign of fraud, disinformation, and defamation" that aimed to tie him to far-right politics. Now, Morrissey claims that he has identified nine people who have posed as him online, including one with ties to one of Morrissey's former bandmates in the Smiths.

Bob Dylan, still a tireless road dog at 85, loves to pull out a random deep cut at a random show. Dylan is now 64 years and 40 studio albums deep into his career, so his catalog is vast, and he can pick from a lot of tracks. Last week, for instance, Dylan kicked off the latest leg of his Rough And Rowdy Ways Tour in Troutdale, Oregon, and he played his song "Baby, Will You Be My Baby," recorded in 1967 and not officially released until 2014, for the first time ever. On Tuesday, Dylan hit Eugene, Oregon, and he once again reached back to the Basement Tapes sessions, this time bringing back a more famous song for the first time in 18 years.

Ever since the band's KEXP session went nuclear early this year, they've been getting the rock-star treatment, including high placement on festival lineups, heavy demand on Record Store Day, huge streaming numbers, and even tribute performances halfway around the world. Before they got famous, the duo won Artist Of The Year at the 2025 Gala Alternatif de la Musique Indépendante du Québec (GAMIQ). But now they are powerful, so their awards-show appearances hit different.
