Friday, the Club 2 Club Festival returned to New York for a second consecutive year. Founded in Turin in 2002, the music fest ventured into North America with a one-day event at Knockdown Center in Queens last spring, reprised this year at the same venue ahead of the 25th anniversary edition of C2C’s flagship Italian event this fall.

The Beatles Get Their First Official Museum

On January 30, 1969, the Beatles played their last-ever gig on the roof of the Apple Corps building at 3 Savile Row in London; nearly 60 years later, that space will become the band's first-ever official museum. The Beatles At 3 Savile Row is set to open to the public in 2027, giving fans seven floors worth of never-before-seen material from the Apple Corps archives, along with rotating exhibitions, a fan store, and a replica of the original studio where the Beatles recorded Let It Be. Though Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight is credited as the "creator" of the doc, Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace — who co-directed the LCD Soundsystem documentary Shut Up And Play The Hits and the film adaptation of the Strokes-era NYC rock scene oral history Meet Me In The Bathroom — are signed on to direct. The film, which remains untitled for now, will have a short theatrical run beginning Sept. 11 and will be streaming on Disney+ later in the year.

After teasing the record's existence for weeks and dropping the stealth single "Rough And Twisted," the band finally let us know that the album will be out in July. At an event with Conan O'Brien earlier this week, the band had more to say. Now, we know that Foreign Tongues includes songs that the Stones recorded with Paul McCartney, Steve Winwood, the Cure's Robert Smith, and their late drummer Charlie Watts. Apparently, there will be an Amy Winehouse cover on there, too.
