I'm following you. Or so says Twitter.com. Try DM'ing me. You'll see me. Seems you're not following me, though.

Never forget, at over 100,000 followers, the system creaks and groans around me. Jon Swanson, a friend for years, and I accidently unfollowed each other yesterday, too. Ah, mechanized platforms.

As for the rest, I've always appreciated your thoughts.

How is it that after reading that, I feel like I've known you all my life. Spooky how I can totally relate to a lot of the points above. And as for point #24, you should try moving from the UK to Fort Worth, TX, live there for 3 years and then move back again to the UK. Sheesh, I still can't warm up after 6 years back in the UK. (I'll be back in the US once I get my back sorted if it's the last thing I ever do).

Also, Matt 25:30 mentions that the useless servant was cast outside into the darkness where there will be "wailing and grinding of teeth"... same as Matt 8:12 and Luke 13:28 which signifies final condemnation. I come to believe that this is because he did not accept the mysteries and therefore was not given any more knowledge in them or the permission to partake because of his lack of faith.

I don't think that this is what this parable was about. I interpret it more to mean our spiritual blessings in heaven. For instance, Matthew speaks "to each his own ability" but Luke did not say that. I believe that both versions of the parable were speaking not about our earthly gifts and treasures or worth, but of our Heavenly gifts and worth. The man going on the long journey was a parallel to the kingdom of Heaven. And faithful use of one's gifts will lead to participation in the fullness of the kingdom, and laziness will lead to exclusion. "Share you master's joy" was a reference to sharing the Master's joy is the banquet of the kingdom of heaven (Matt 8:11).If you look earlier to Matt 13:10, Jesus is explaining to his disciples the purpose of speaking in parables. He said to his disciples that knowledge of the mysteries of the kingdom of Heaven has been granted to them. Knowledge of the mysteries of the kingdom of Heaven means recognition that the kingdom has become present in the ministry of Jesus. God gives further understanding to those who accept the revealed mystery; from the one who does not accept it, it will be taken away.Matt 13:12 - To anyone who has (accepted the mysteries), more will be given (understanding) and he will grow rich (in knowledge); to anyone who does not accept the mysteries, even what he has will be taken away. (He will not enjoy the kingdom of Heaven because he cannot accept the mysteries.)So, in other words, the servant who buried the talent was condemned by not receiving the kingdom on Heaven and sharing in his Master's feast.I believe the talents were given out in proportion to the servant's acceptance of the mysteries. So this is a Heavenly reward, not necessarily an earthly reward. The Master (God) was demonstrating His giving more knowledge of the kingdom of Heaven to those servants (us) who were willing to accept Jesus as the new Jerusalem, and each were rewarded in the kingdom of Heaven according to their faith.Yes, we should share the earthly blessings that God gives us because of our Christian nature. But I believe that these Parables are about our understanding of something much higher up than earthly blessings.JMHO.
