‘Tropical’ might describe the weather- hot and wet. So, as I say to all my clients, weather doesn’t spoil the day, it just changes it. Louise and Paul rolled with it, and we dodged the raindrops to get a fab set of images, some in an unobtrusive reportage style, and some in a creative and gently directed style. The Bay Tree at Burford was the perfect location, with brilliant indoor opportunities for pictures, lovely gardens, and just down the road, all of Oxfordshire!

Deborah and Daniel’s wedding at the Renaissance Chancery Court was stylish and elegant, and with the Gilev Show Band it became a full-on dance fest! The day was recorded in a largely unobtrusive reportage way, with some lovely moments for bridal portraits. As always, this selection is a tiny proportion of the images from the day, but it will give you a taster…

Caroline and Akeem had the most vibrant wedding I’ve had the pleasure of attending in many years. The traditional Nigerian clothing was beautiful, and the celebrations were full of blessings, poignant speeches and much dancing. The day’s photography was almost entirely unobtrusive reportage photography, recording the day’s emotional moments as they happened. It all took place at Addington Palace in Surrey.

Sasha and Miles had a brilliant day at Warren Weir, which is part of the Luton Hoo Hotel estate in Hertfordshire. The day was brilliantly styled by Sasha, with vivid pinks and turquoise details throughout the reception, and superbly organised by Suzanne and Helen at above and beyond. We had two amazing portrait sessions, one on an old bridge near the weir, and another as the sun was setting up at Luton Hoo itself, using the house and grounds as beautiful glowing backdrops.

Marie and Michael’s wedding was elegant, emotional, funny, and above all, full of love. Their love for each other, the love of their families, and the love of Michael’s three best men, and their hilarious speeches. Here are just a few highlights from a very special day…

I met up with Katie and Tim at Wotton House near Dorking for our recce and pre-wedding shoot. I also met Tim’s mum and dad, and I was thrilled to discover that his dad has just started Facebooking, as I have, and was listening to Uriah Heep, a band from the 70s that I used to like, (along with Deep Purple, Bad Company and King Crimson, but that’s a whole other story…) And in case you were wondering, American Football is going to be a big part of the day – can’t wait!
