A Little Bird baby shower sounds as sweet as can be. It’s chic and creative, and maybe perfect for the mama-to-be you’re planning a shower for. Not only is it an absolutely adorable theme, but the color palette and decor details are as flexible as can be. It can easily become a shower for a baby boy or baby girl, or be gender neutral for twins and surprises! And even though it’s the perfect time of year for outdoor parties, a Little Bird baby shower will look just as fabulous indoors too!

Wedding of the Week: Nichelle and Rueben

We are so excited to share the gorgeous wedding of Nichelle and Rueben at Bella Collina in Monteverde, Florida… The stunning setting and warm feel of the event is sure to inspire! Absolutely incredible that the wedding was planned in a matter of 2 weeks (Nichelle’s grandfather was diagnosed as terminally ill and the wedding was moved up to ASAP to ensure he could be a part of the special day)!!!

Location: Bella Collina in Monteverde, Florida

Inspiration: Beautiful aesthetics of the Tuscan-inspired decor at Bella Collina, as well as the rich textures of the walls and stone work throughout the location.

Memorable aspect: The bride and groom decided to move the ceremony up due a terminally ill relative and was booked only two weeks in advance of the wedding day! It was special to see the couple sharing their day with their entire family.

Philosophy/style: My style of photography is classic and timeless, incorporating details with photojournalism and organic portraiture.

What inspires you: I draw inspiration largely from fashion, life, friends and family.

Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan Wedding Inspiration

Hope you have all been having a great week! It certainly seem Mr. Zuckerberg and Ms. Chan did!

I was looking forward to sharing this stunning wedding with everyone on Monday, but after some blog glitches slowed things down I am finally able to get this post going. Hooray!

Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg married his girlfriend of nine years, Priscilla Chan, in a surprise wedding this weekend! Everything about their wedding just seems so beautiful, and really reveals how special and genuine this couple is. Priscilla stunned in a gorgeous Claire Pettibone dress that she ordered under a fake name at a boutique in Colorado! They served their guests sushi and mexican food from local restaurants, and danced the night away in the couple’s backyard to lots of Michael Jackson.

Although Zuckerberg is one of the richest men in the world, their wedding was completely budget friendly! If you’re inspired by their gorgeous wedding, you could easily recreate their wedding’s classy, but casual feel with your own twist. Here’s a few more ideas I’ve put together, to get your creativity flowing!

This shower would be perfect for the prenatal-yoga-loving mama-to-be! There are so many devoted yoginis out there who don’t let their pregnancy stop their yoga practice, and there are many women who fall in love with yoga for the first time during their pregnancy! If you fall into one of those categories, a yoga inspired baby shower might be just for you!

The possibilities are endless for a yoga baby shower! Yoga mats, towels, personalized water bottles, or yoga mat aromatherapy sprays would make for perfect favors. You can even invite a teacher to host a prenatal and beginner friendly class at your party. Serve up healthy snacks full of fruits and vegetables, and make sure to put out plenty of spa style fruit-infused water for your guests. Throw on your favorite yoga soundtrack and keep your decor minimal. Next thing you know, your guests will be leaving feeling totally relaxed and oh-so zen!

I’ve only seen a few shots of Julie Benz and Rich Orosco’s wedding from this past weekend and I am crazy about it already. I love that the couple chose to have their wedding on Cinco de Mayo to include the groom’s heritage in the celebration theme. It seems like the festive elements were subtle and stylish – a perfect combination! Another thing I love about their wedding, was how affordable Julie’s fashion choices were.

The Dexter star and her bridesmaids rocked gowns by the amazing and affordable designer Theia. Julie’s exact wedding gown will be available later this year for less than $1500! That’s pretty incredible if you ask me, and it’s amazing proof you don’t need to have a luxury-sized budget to look drop-dead gorgeous on your wedding day! Love it! And her Theia reception gown is also currently for sale right now on the Bloomingdale’s too.

The Met Costume Institute Gala is one of my favorite fashion nights of the entire year, and last night’s red carpet fashion did not disappoint! There were so many incredible and daring looks last night, and many of the women rocked some gorgeous gowns that make for fabulous bridal fashion inspiration!

Whether you are going for a 1920s glamourous look like Camilla Belle, or something more modern but still feminine like Sarah Jessica Parker’s gown-there was bridal fashion inspiration for all brides-to-be out there!

I can’t really think about gingham without thinking of Dorothy and her blue gingham dress. So after yesterday’s Green Gingham Baby Shower post, my mind wandered off to The Wizard of Oz and the next thing I know I’m searching the web for Wizard of Oz parties! A Wizard of Oz inspired birthday party sounds like it would be just as much fun for the adults as it is for the kids. It’s definitely a theme all ages will enjoy. And there are so many great ideas for your party that can be found in the movie! For instance, a “lollipop guild” lollipop table or ruby slippers as party favors. Sounds like quite the recipe for birthday party success!
