New Members Sunday on Sun., Dec. 6 at 11:00am
St. Paul’s welcomes anyone who would like to formally join the congregation. We will gather for a dinner and class on Dec. 1. New members will receive a tour of the congregation on Dec. 6 at 10:00am and then be received into membership during the 11:00am worship service. Pastor Omholt’s 25th Anniversary at St. Paul’s

St. Paul’s will be celebrating Pastor Omholt’s 25th Anniversary at St. Paul’s with a special celebration service followed by a potluck reception. We will gather for worship at one service at 11:00am on this Sunday.

Young Adults Second Sunday of the Month Lunch

Young adults will meet in the back of the church following worship and head to lunch together. This is a great chance to meet other young adults from St. Paul’s while enjoying some food and fellowship. No RSVPs necessary, simply show up!

Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser

Please join us on for a delicious pancake breakfast to help raise money for the St. Paul’s Nicaragua Mission trip. The 15 mission team members will be traveling to Nicaragua in January to help build a foster care house for orphans on Ometepe Island. We have committed to raising $5,000 towards the cost of building the home. Thanks for your support!

Help the Homeless Walkathon

Join St. Paul’s as we raise funds for and awareness of our Men’s Homeless Shelter. We need to recruit a total of 850 walkers to receive a $10,000 incentive from Fannie Mae. Register online at www.helpthehomelessdc.org. Be sure to pick “St. Paul’s English Lutheran Church” as your beneficiary organization and let Pastor Keseley know that you have signed up. Meet in the church parking lot at 8:00am to Metro to the Mall. We’ll then return for our annual brunch at Guapo’s before returning to the church by 12 noon.

Conversation with the Pastors: Bible Stories for Grown-Ups

Sunday Mornings through Nov. 15 from 10:00am-10:45am in Schafer Hall
As adults what are we to make of some of those fantastic stories from the Bible which we heard about in Sunday School? As grown-ups, what can we still learn from these stories and how can we explain them to our children? Bible Stories for Grown-Ups include: “the one where people walked through the sea without getting wet,” “the one about the boatload of animals,” “the one about the kid who gets a cool coat from dad,” “the one about the guy who gets swallowed by a big fish,” “the one about the guy in a den of lions and tigers and bears, oh my,” and others.

Baby Boomers Potluck Dinner

Family Halloween Carnival

Saturday, October 24 from 6:00-8:00pm in St. Paul’s Lower Auditorium
St. Paul’s annual Halloween Carnival will be held this Saturday. Costumes are welcome, but not required for this fun filled evening. There will be a Bible based haunted house, art with Miss Regina, games, and lots, lots more! Please bring a treat for our homeless shelter (laundry detergent, toiletries, cleaning products or paper goods). Invite your friends and neighbors. All are welcome!
