Thank you Rich and Todd. Rich, I think at this point I really do have to cop to being a fan because its 2:30 AM and I am so tired I’m queazy…but am I asleep? Naw, I’m watching youse in a cigah bah.

I love the idea of becoming a founder. And that is pretty much what I have in mind long term. Right now, we are needing to generate some decent income so I have created a multi-pronged approach.

To begin with, I am a baby boomer and my husband is 10 years my senior. So we don’t have a lot of time to be slaves to a business. Our home WAS our primary nest egg and you know how that strategy has turned out for so many boomers. So, here is my strategy and a lot of it has been influenced by you.

First, I am doing the strategic entrepreneur/opportunity thing to create passive income.

Second I am establishing a brand. The Spirit Maven has a couple of purposes. My current site is “The Spirit Maven Recommends” and I am blogging about and representing all of Judith and Jim’s Soft Sell Marketing and Spiritually oriented programs.

In addition, I will affiliate and represent other products of this genre The Spirit Maven Recommends will be completed this weekend. I am marketing Judith and Jim’s Bridging Heart and Marketing III conference set for October 9 -11.

I do not have a list yet so I have created some JV’s with Judith and Jim and some other folks where we make podcasts for them and we do some seo with the podcasts and in exchange, they send their list members to my site where the visitor has to opt-in to get the Mp3 (we are using this format because WE THINK it is more direct to pick up than a feed is).

So my partners get free publicity/marketing and I get their list which is highly targeted to my spiritual niche as I am only making podcasts in my niche, at the moment. We will see where this goes. We are having a lot of fun with it.
I write the scripts and “play Barbara Walters” and Steve, my husband, is the recording engineer. We will be branching into video production (using the Mp3 files) in the next few days thanks to YouTube and Traffic Geyser. We are really excited!

Judith Sherven thinks the podcast/Mp3 interviews will become a major part of our marketing business.

At the moment I am “Chief Cook and Bottle Washer” in that I will be writing all the blog posts and all of the articles and creating all the SEO necessary to get folks to notice this site. But this site can roll along with my photo and ghost writers EVENTUALLY.

So all of these elements (the affiliate sites, The Spirit Maven Recommends, the podcast interviews and videos) will eventually be separate divisions headed by individual managers under one rubric. And of course we will have our very own “Brian Johnson” overseeing the operations.

The Spirit Maven will also have a teaching blog and that is going up next. This blog site will be the platform for my writings and products, etc. This will go live very soon. It will be the home base for my product creation activities. And I will be the manager.

Meanwhile, we are seriously considering moving offshore, probably to Ecuador, so that we can live comfortably on my husband’s Social Security. The pressure of struggling to survive in this country with little money is counter productive to giving ourselves enough psychological space to carry the mindset of a founder. Survival pressures keep us at the level of opportunists.

My question is simply–WHERE DO YOU SEE THE HOLES IN MY THINKING?

Well now its 4:40 AM. I definitely think you got a good ROI on this video. I’m turning in because I have a site to launch this weekend.

I’ve learnt from writing for people, and having them make massive changes to the content in the early days, that having an ego or being overly ‘precious’ about things I create wasn’t going to get me anywhere. I decided to ditch the ego and the ‘it’s my baby’ attitude and focus on what I was ultimately getting out of it.

The thing that would worry me is being able to get and hold on to the people who could run the business and move it forward. Most things seem to come back to money and I’m just worried that I wouldn’t have enough in the early stages to be able to get and pay for the people who would let me step out of the picture.
