Wishing you all a very happy monday everyone & hope you all have a great week planned ahead! For those sugarplums that need a little more umph this coming week – shall the 4BW give you a little inspiration?

Meditate – For those who live a rather hectic lifestyle (uhh like being overly stressed from work or school!) try and spare half an hour each day this week to just meditate and chill out. It’ll do you a world of good mentally & you’ll be ready to take on the bigger challenges!

Strike a (Yoga) Pose! - If meditation is not for you then immerse yourself in the challenge of a new yoga sequence a day instead! There’s a myriad of beginner’s sequences online (youtube is a great place to start looking too!) for all of you who are interested in trying this out – yoga helps calm you, helps make you more flexible & well – it’ll help you tone up a bit too (without the excessive sweating caused by other activities like running in the summer heat! ouch!) hihihi

Rent a Boat – For those that live by the sea (like moi!) or by lakes, why not rent a small boat or paddle boat with friends and just spend the day floating around aaaaah =)! Perfect for a summer’s day outing ! Relaxing at it’s best

Challenge your fear – with literature! – I once had a teacher who told me to write a poem, or a short story about my biggest fear where my conquer it … Back then i was deadly afraid of dogs and she told me to write stories where i would lock up these fearsome dogs or i would make them afraid of me instead hehehe. Afraid of the dark? afraid of dogs? afraid of ghosts? Write about a situation where you dispose of your fear i swear: it’s another small step towards facing your fear and eventually conquering it ! (hmm maybe i should write about Ufo’s … but how on earth do you dispose of a spacecraft huh??? … RAYGUN!! )

The weekly 4bw posts are back after the long break – here’s the 4bw number 43 for everyone to read – ready to see what’s suggested for this week?

Throw a costume party – … Even if it’s not halloween! Ok, this might need a little bit more than a day’s planning, but the result will definitely be worth it! also, most of the time there’s no need to buy a store-made costume Just a little bit of imagination & you probably would be able to assemble your DIY costume right from your very own wardrobe

Send out a fan letter to someone you really admire - Why not show your appreciation to your role model? It can be you favourite athlete, environmentalist, model, singer … or even your favourite blogger

Make a new layout - Got a website or a social media profile? Are you able to change your very own layout design? Then do so today ! A new layout design always motivates me to keep updated … For those who wish for a change but don’t know what to do – here’s some little Inspiration Ideas post i had done 2 years back If you don’t know how to create the layout yourself, there are always many free websites today which offer free layouts and designs (make sure you credit them!) … or better yet – it’s a great opportunity to start learning ! Get yourself on google and start searching for easy tutorials – you’re bound to find the perfect article!

Write a Short Story – Sit down, grab a pen, think a little, start writing! You may be surprised at the result It’s a great way to keep your mind & imagination active Don’t know what to write about? Here are some ideas: write about funny situations you’ve encountered lately, extend a well known fairy tale or give it an alternative twist, write about your grandma’s childhood memories, or write about the trouble your pet gets into !

The following idea was suggested by AnneMarie (Arigatou Gozaimasu!)

Call someone you haven’t talked to in awhile. You know, talk it up with some old friends. Tell them hello, and make em smile or something. It’s always nice to hear from an old buddy.

My summer 2010 so far…

As you can see from the sudden lack of updates – it’s a pretty busy summer! probably one of the busiest yet!

Up till now i’ve … been to a day running about gozo on hired jeeps, an old class reunion, a weekend at a luxury poshy hotel suite, Abseiling, got my exam results (got an A in marketing & a C in economics! w00t!!), had countless picnics + bbqs by the sea, had a twilight movie marathon (no – not lusting after vampires + werewolves … more like mocking the movie makers haha!), went to a sunglasses @ night party, went on a 4 day camping trip, started planning & scheming on a secret project, attended the shooting star shower the 3rd year in a row, spent days with the aunts & cousins, seen the kiss forever band again (yay! & ended up on the popular maltese site Bus62 LOL!).

I’m trying to … keep up with my hobbies (especially reading!), meeting up friends, meeting up with the bf everyday (hihi), and keeping up my exercise regime (going jogging almost everyday + an intense lesson aerobics once a week – i will get my navel pierced … in November,when it’s safe for me to donate blood for the first time! ).

My future schedule … will only get busier in winter i’m going to a Beauty course & Yoga lessons in addition ! So that’s 3 days out of the week all packed up Other stuff i got planned this in the coming months include – a trip to gozo, a navy-theme costume party, midnight hikes, visiting our super secret beach, saving up slowly for a trip to Spain next year with one of my faaavourite girls (PortAventura theme park – here we come!!) … aaaand of course that shopping trip to London for the January Sales!! I’m sooooo looking forward to that!! I already have everything booked – the only thing which remains now is for TIME TO GET A MOVE ON & … & Saving up ze moolah!!

How was YOUR weekend?? I’m back from a 2-day stay at a poshy hotel suite & still feeling very tired because of my lack of sleep! I hope to regain back the rest i lost today haha! Here is the 4bw number 42 with a special contribution from Angelica

Happy Monday fellow SugarPlums!! How was everyone’s weekend?? Hope it was as great as mine was (can’t you tell, i’m such in a good mood today while writing this!!). If it wasn’t so bright and shiney – why not recompensate with an amazing week then, huh? :P Here’s what the 4bw suggests:

Do your hair differently - Get your hands on fashion or hair magazines & get yourself inspired! Of course – this doesn’t only include the snip snip hair part but it also includes ditching your usual ponytail for something a bit different and less boring for everyday wear (a new hair bow? a new hair dye? a new bob hair-do? Extensions? & why not: a beehive!).

Go to our grandparents house… – talk about old times & get nostalgic . I used to love visiting each saturday morning & hearing my grannies war and childhood stories over and over… & who knows? You might learn a funny story or two about your gran! ahhh i miss those times!!

Make your own wrapping paper – Not only helping the environment, but also letting your creativity loose ! Store bought wrapping gets binned 99% of all cases, so what if the outcome isn’t exactly perfect anyway? Make a collage of your friend’s favourite things, cover it with pictures of you both or just go wild with colours!

Walk someone else’s dog – Do any of your aunts, grandparents, neighbors or friends have a dog you’re absolutely in love with?? They don’t have the time to walk him out? Have you got an afternoon to spare? Why not offer yourself to dog-sit – even taking the little tyke out for a walk would make its (& your!) day much brighter!!

The following idea was suggested by Angelica (10q for much for your frequent contributions!!!)

It’s summer and during summer you should be outside enjoying the sunshine. Bring a blanket, a radio, a meal and a friend to your favourite park on a sunny day.

My Summer 2010 wishlist

As suggested in the 4BW #40, when there’s a change of season – it’s a must to start planning the summer wishlist! It’s definitely one of my favourite things to do!

Unfortunately the summer in Malta was a bit slow to approach us this year we’ve had rainshowers up to this week (my car looks all dotted. Thanks rain!) & I’ve finally switched on the Air-conditioner some 2days ago …

This is what’s on my summer shopping list (which i’ve got a lot of it already!) – i just wish i had the money to buy all at once!

I’m totally in love with this year’s Sailor Fashion trend ! I’ve ordered the cutest little tunic & it’s on its way i’ve also found an adorable vintage style dress from the NewLook shop at the Point in Sliema – i got the perfect outfits for the next vintage nights & meet-ups!
A polkadotted tankini – got a Victoria Secret one from ebay! I’ve never had anything VS & cannot wait to use it too! I haven’t been to the beach yet this year – hopefully i will visit it more than the 2 times i did last year haha!
Lots of striped clothing with cute bows
Heaploads of flats & Roxy Flipflops for the beach! Me & heels are mostly incompatible – the last time i wore a heeled pair of shoes i suffered 4 days of foot pain & painful blisters !
Neon Green Nailpolish. Because BLINDING green nails are cool.
A light zebra scarf to wear even during warm weather (no one can have such a thing as too many scarves!)
The summer 2010 perfume! Possibly the G from the Harajuku Lovers Sunshine Cuties collection
New accessories – an anchor necklace – possibly plastic, to go with the tankini , & a cutey little coin purse to stash in a new quilted black clutch … haven’t yet found the perfect ones

Hi hi Sugarplums! Hope you’re all psyched about this week’s 4bw post ! I have lots of fun writing these out! Ready for this week’s list? Here we go!

Read a book you would’ve never picked - This actually happened to me with Twilight… I would’ve NEVER walked into the library and picked out the book (give me horror / non-fiction books pls!). My sister got it as a school prize & i picked it up after it had sat on the shelf for at least 8 MONTHS. Needless to say i loved it & now i’m 3/4 of the way of finishing Breaking Dawn. Go on & surprize yourself – you might actually discover that you like a new genre!

Camp out – Head to your favourite spot in nature or to your local camping site & live out the adventure (i’m not actually a fan of looong trips, but i can say i can survive & have fun for a day or two!!)!

Clean out your old clothes from the closet & donate them – After the planning & shopping phase suggested by the 4bw of last week, now it’s the time to get serious!! Remove all those clothes who don’t fit you anymore in your closet (why are you still keeping a sweater 3 sizes too big for you huh?) & donate them to a charity of your choice Many animal shelters gladly take in old unwanted clothes and turn them into blankets and cosy beds for puppies !

Paint one room a vibrant color – If you own your own place (or have total charge of your room’s DIY!), why not welcome summer with a room makeover?? The makeover can be just as simple as painting up the walls in some bright blue, green or pink! Looks much better than the boring beige & keeps your mood in high spirits!

Hello M’Darlings! ….. Aaaaaaaaaaaand with the blog comeback announced last week, the 4BW restarts it’s weekly appearance as well ! Hope you all enjoy this edition’s suggestions! And remember to suggest new ones to be included for next week ok?

The manicure – This doesn’t have to be those expensive fancy salon ones! Super cheap ones work that magic just as well (There’s definately something about having your nails trimmed, polished and pampered by someone! Makes you feel new & sassy! ). For those who prefer doing things their way at home – there are plenty of videos on youtube and videojug with great step by step instructions as well!

Start planning your summer wardrobe - Aaaaah! With Summer knocking at our doors (over here we’re still wearing sweaters damnit! Bring on Summer Sun!) – it’s about high time to start planning your summer look! Get yourself on Polyvore & start creating and designing – then head out to the shops or online to get that dreamy look!! (woah i also realized that in the last 4bw there was the Winter Wardrobe suggestion! Hah… how long was i away again? )

Attend a movie Premier - Movie Permiers are fun & usually chock-full of related activities!! I’m quite sad i missed the SATC 2 premier over here – one cinema here organized a night full of free masages, cocktails & makeovers while another cinema organized a full blown fashion night! Keep your eyes peeled on your local cinema page – you might be missing some really cool stuff!

Start up some good habits! – Whether it’s starting using anti-wrinkle cream, starting off a new exercise regime or swapping food choices for healthier ones at the supermarket – this is the time to start doing it (& try to keep up the pace hihi)! You’ll be glad you did

I’m Back!

See! I told you all i’ll be back!! You didn’t think I was telling the truth right??

It’s great to be back in the blogosphere after all these months!! I’m currently visiting all Affies and everyone who left me comments while i was away! I’m truly sorry i couldn’t leave you comments beforehand but during these last 5 months i had my hand pretty full!! I barely had anytime on the pc except for a quick update on Facebook & to watch Gossip Girl!! I’m also replying all emails back, oh dear ones

Finally a new layout! This layout has taken me the LONGEST TIME EVER to do! Not because it was complicated – but i kept procrastinating “oh i’ll snap the photos to use later…” was amongst the most common then exams & studying came in the way and i totally abbandoned working on it! Hah. What do you guys think of the new layout?? There’s still a lot of work to do on the sub-sections (yupp, i’ll be removing the current ones and put more relevant content in them!).

Ah i couldn’t wait to be back!! So many plans! So much stuff to do!! Including the Hello Kitty for Tokidoki contest i’ll be putting up in June (yupp! You heard me one of you will get to win a rare Hello Kitty for Tokidoki item!) – so keep your eyes peeled!!

As you can see – no i’m not dead, nor have i totally forgotten and ignored s-g! It’s just that lately the free time i get is split up between being a social creature & dedicating time to these lovely subjects above (i.e. note the sarcasm )!

Missing everyone & missing blogging like mad! But you can imagine how it feels like to study for subjects that normal people do in 2 years … in less than 8 months (ha! bear me & my slow email replying abilities! they’re there tho! & they WILL be replied!!)

Awaiting Xmas 2009!

Everyone’s feeling the Xmas Spirit yet?? I started feeeling wayyy festive this morning!! Been blasting this little list of songs i’ve compiled over and over again on youtube!! … Aaahh! 4 days to go!!

These next two weeks are probably the busiest everrrrr! I’ve got a bunch of extra lectures for the 2 new subjects i’ve undertaken … hahhh no rest for the wicked, i guess! Vive le DumbLittleMan for useful guides! Haha!

First off i’d like to thank my wonderful dad for buying me and early Xmas gift: these heavenly shoes that i’ve lusted over instantly!! … I LOVE YOU DAD!! You made my New Year’s Outfit complete! *love love*

… YET my TOES ALREADY HATE YOU as they’ll probably get crushed to death in that seemingly instrument of torture!! & have i mentioned? I don’t wear heels much so this will be a new new challenge for me! (i’m already practicing by wearing heeled boots at work – but it’s not the same for sure! AARGH!)

Plan a time of day with friends when i can go round to their house and act all Santa Claus-ey xD
Plan outfits beforehand just in case i’m in need of an emergency outfit (*cough* last minute planned outing *cough*)
Get hands on a pot of Mint Green / Emerald BARRY M Dazzle Dust (for New Year’s! i’m currently loving the look of green eyeshadow! For xmas i’m getting all purpley – THANKYOU RAVENCROFT FOR SENDING ME THAT HEAVENLY SHADE OF PURPLE NAILPOLISH! LOTS OF LOVE TO YOU!!! xxx)
Still have to think how on earth am i going to do my hair!? Thinking of adding a few ringlets maybe? DECISIONS!!
