I wish i could post more, but i’m at present caught up with studying for both my German finals – one is this week (the conversation test – eeeeeep!) and one next tuesday of next week (the normal paper-based) … so at present i’m trying to live, breathe and sleep German hahahah … and also trying to keep my Evernote list of To-Do’s low! … Hey i managed to update my Flickr account – FINALLY! that counts to something as well, right?

Are there also unfortunate souls from among you guys who have their finals approaching soon? I cannot wait for these two weeks to go by really fast so that i can start to plan my Summer!! For those lucky ones that are looking how to fill their time this week – i welcome you to this week’s edition of the 4BW to keep you inspired … and on your toes!

Make your own Jewellery! – Do you have left over beads from your childhood days lying around the house? Did you encounter some really pretty stones at the local flea market? Find some online tutorials, buy your supplies and start creating

Re-read an old favourite … – Revisit an old favourite book - possibly noticing small details overlooked in the first sit

Have your own Olympic Games - Organise your own obstacle courses and challenges with some of your more adventurous and sportive friends – all in honor of the upcoming 2012 London Olympic games!

Have an old boring shirt? – go DIY and change it’s appearance with fabric paints!

I swearrr – i currently have a million things to do (i just keep adding never ending notes to my Evernote app) … but Pinterest just keeps sucking up all my time… Shame!! (i finally did submit the Vintage inspired – flare skirt i was doing for my final sewing project… it will now be displayed in the end of year exhibition – too bad i forgot to attach the Heart Buttons i bought especially for it!! FAIL!! Argh!!)… Bad me! I really should concentrate on getting things done! … what about you guys? Do you sometimes feel like you need more than 24 hours to be able to cope with all your work?

Challenge accepted for this week! I need to cut down at least 5 things off my evernote app! argh! What about you guys? What do you have on your to-do list this week? Why not add something from this week’s 4BW suggestions or from a past edition?

Give a friend you haven’t seen in a long while a call … – no, not an sms or an email – give them a call and let them hear your voice instead of the usual boring bunch of text !

Make a pinhole camera - with so many occasions cropping up on us thanks to the warmer weather and the need to get out more after a lethargic winter – it’s the perfect time to make a pinhole camera to snap up some original shots! don’t know how? a simple google or youtube search will reveal so many links that you’ll surely end up confused which one to follow

Re-try foods you always thought you hated - … you might just find out that they’re not that bad !

Start planning your Summer! - Another item to add to my never ending to-do list! What are you planning to achieve this summer (& with the added extra free-time that it brings with it for some of us?)

Hope you all had a relaxing weekend … I know my feet didn’t! We’ve had a wedding where I wore one of my favourite pair of shoes … but standing on your feet all night isn’t really the best thing i learned my pinkies were practically fizzing by the time i got home and kicked my shoes off i’m also currently OBSESSING over the Hunger Games series (finally went to watch the movie last week – after reading Book 1 in less than 4 days!!). I’m less than 40 pages away from ending the 2nd book … did anyone of you read the books?

I’m also loving the month of May – it’s warm but not yet too hot (well at least for me!) the weather this month just makes me want to spend more time outside – don’t you? I’m dedicating this week’s 4BW post to outdoorsy activities you can do during this warm time of the year! – Now you have no excuse to be bored!

Go by the Sea or Beach … – get a bottle of champagne, your favourite book, your best friend and bask in that sunshine and sea air! (don’t forget your Sunnies and sunblock!)

Run / Cycle / Walk 5k – Don’t you think that this sunny weather’s perfect for a long stroll? Get fit + suck in that Vitamin D to keep yourself happy !

Go Camping! - Even your own backyard would do if you cannot make it to the big outdoors or on the beach

If you’re feeling courageous… – … or the weather’s just right for you: go take your first swim for this year!

There’s something really nice when your plant blooms or becomes more and more beautiful everyday…

Do something you love and that makes you laugh. - Everyone should do this every week

Have a picnic in your backyard or porch - invite friends over, watch the sunset, take in your beautiful surroundings and enjoy good food

Watch a movie based on your favourite book as a kid – Watching such movies brings back sooo many wonderful memories from when i used to watch them in my nursery or in kindergarten class What was your favourite book as a kid? i just cannot decide which one was mine – i had soo many favourites: snow white, cindirella, the little mermaid, peterpan …

How was everyone’s Easter? Did you eat a lot of chocolate? I’m still enjoying the last few yummy treats i got as gifts ! Unfortunately, last week was incredibly hectic (especially Tuesday when i had a family emergency – luckily that is over for now!). We also had family members coming over last Wednesday for the St Gregory (San Girgor) feast celebrated at my village where we ate ate ate and shopped shopped shopped at the local market!! … Unfortunately i’ve also had a fever which forced me to sleep and rest more and not have any time to blog here! Luckily i’m much better now & getting back to the usual schedule !

Do you have any plans for this week yourselves? If you still haven’t decided how to spend your free time this week – read on!

Bored of the same food? – Need a little more umph in your lunch or dinner? Cook yourself some tasty Spring recipes! If you don’t have a cookbook it’s not a problem – google the perfect Spring treat and head to your local supermarket to get your hands on the seasonal produce and fruits. My favourite at the moment? Nothing beats a fresh strawberry, honey and soy yogurt smoothie (i’ve also added Spirulina powder which creeped everyone out because my smoothie turned dark green!) !

Buy some new make-up – No need to empty your wallet or change your whole make-up routine to update to a new Spring look : it’s amazing what just a new lipstick or lip-gloss can do

Make a list of the 100 songs you could listen to forever - … and keep the playlist on your favourite music player – it’s a great mood booster for when you’re feeling not quite yourself or need a boost while doing boring work!

Go back to your roots - If you feel like you haven’t been quite yourself lately (there’s no hiding it – stress induced by too much worrying about work or school takes a toll on everyone!), dedicate an hour for yourself from your busy schedule and think about what you wish to change from your current routine and go back to the old ways .. & myself? I’m pondering to bring back the old more personal posts to this blog … hmm … what do you guys think?

Happy April everyone! Hope you haven’t been victim of some evil joke yesterday!

For me – it’s been a great week – it feels like i’m finally getting my life back after all that time being sick and stuck at home In the last week i’ve attended a pretty much boring seminar away from the place of work (which i must admit – in the end it was a nice change), managed to find the location of the Soap Cafe’ (i recommend a visit and a purchase to whoever is in Malta – their products are AMAZING !), went to the usual aerobics classes & took up jogging out of the gym again, continued working on my sewing project , had a birthday gathering, aaand went trekking & picnicking nearby the Red Tower in Mellieha with the Bf Sunday (my legs are still killing me … !!)! So yeah it was a pretty full week – just how i like it!

What about you guys? Do you like your weeks to be brimful of activities or do you prefer taking things at a slower pace? Why not try some of the suggestions of this week’s 4BW to make your week a tad different from the usual routine?

Need a fresh new hairstyle? - Why not inspire yourself from nature and this time of year and add a flower hair clip (or a fresh flower!) in your next hair do ?

For those that cannot make much change in their routine … - try and make some extra effort in your daily doings this week – example: write your shopping list or to-do lists on some cute notepaper instead of a rough piece of paper! I don’t know about you guys – but having cute details helps me motivate myself much more!

What do you guys think of this season’s new trend – the Ombre / Gradient Nails? -I think it’s gorgeous and it’s definitely something different and worth doing to change up one’s usual look! I’ve found this great video where you only need 3 polishes to change the look of your whole hand! Are you going to try it? I definitely am going to try this when i have an hour to spare

What to do when you want to look and feel your best? - Never say anything to yourself that you wouldn’t say to a friend or loved one – consider becoming yourself’s best-friend and an avid practicer of self-love

I’ve had a very easy weekend ! I’ve managed to go to the gym to make up for the aerobics classes i had skip due to the horrid flu attack i had earlier this month, continued working on my cute sewing project (my purple skirt is finally taking shape !) & met the girlfriends before, sadly, one of us goes back to Japan for her last few weeks of studies (come back soon!! )

We also changed to the daylight savings time this sunday! This means longer hours of sunshine! I know i can finally restart taking long jogs / walks in my village, outside of the gym again (just until the sun starts burning my skin off hehe!) !

… Don’t know what to do this week? Why not let the 4BW help fill up your schedule !

Day Light Savings has kicked in! - That means brighter days, meaning – you should definetely wear something bright and lovely to reflect the current season ! Now – where you put that pretty lavender scarf??

Do your immune system a favor… - and indulge yourself in the yummiest, freshest fruits you can find this season! Your body will thank you and it will definitely help you get that energy we’ve all been lacking this Winter!

Try and think positively! - Come on – make an effort – doesn’t the lovely weather and greener scenery inspire you?

Thought that last week’s Bucketlist suggestion was too much? - Do a list of more do-able goals! What do you want to have done until your next birthday / a year from now / before next Summer? I find such lists are amazing to keep me motivated towards reaching my goal !!

Hope you all had a great weekend (& you’ve gotten over your hangover from to much beer from St Patrick’s Day hehe)!

Today’s a public holiday here in Malta, and since it was predicted to be a wonderful sunny day – we planned to go for a picnic with friends !! I’ve made yummy matcha cupcakes for everyone (see the photos on my flickr album here!) - hopefully everyone will like them as much as i did – what about you guys? How do you like to spend your days off work / school this week?

Even though March is almost over, remember that March is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month - Show your support by wearing your nails in teal (if you don’t have that colour – why not purchase this lovely shade from OPI and help beat Ovarian Cancer!)

Make your very own Bucketlist! – What would you like to do in your life / or till you reach a certain age? Make sure you stick it somewhere prominent to keep up your motivation!

Take some time off your routine – just zone out and relax: drink some soothing herbal tea, listen to soft relaxing music or watch an enjoyable movie … it does wonders for the stressed out mind (even if you’re studying – make sure to take some time off to clear your head – even half an hour would do! You’ll feel tonnes better i promise!)

Buy yourself some fresh flowers for your house / room - or even better, go for a walk in the country and pick some lovely wild flowers

For those that don’t know, it’s St Patrick’s Day next Saturday (favourite feast of the Irish, and a great opportunity for beer lovers worldwide to drink a little extra and get lots of freebies in return!). Make sure you find your favourite green outfit for the occasion (so you won’t get pinched! Haha)!

Over the years St Patty‘s become more and more celebrated world wide – Green Shamrocks / Lucky Four-leaf Clovers, Pots of gold and cute little leprechauns are popping up everywhere!
