The highly dedicated and downright motivated person would say

“I don’t care if others think being rich is not for everybody because I know what it takes to be successful without ever going to school”.

If you can learn the secrets of success you will understand that not only do you not have to go to institutions of higher learning but you can make alot money right now and become extremely successful with no college. Now I will not say that it will be easy, because anything worth having is worth working for, But with a little self help training, some motivation and inspiration you can bet your bottom dollar that you’re on your way to riches.

With our four key secrets you’ll have the basis to making money and becoming one of those successful people without a college degree.

1. Motivation- If you are not motivated to work for money then that’s ok for now because you might be down on yourself because you have hit a road block, or you are unsure where to start or you are downright lazy and you need an outside source to provide motivation. if this is your case then don’t worry, as long as you LEARN to get motivated to work hard you will soon become obsessed over how easy it is to be successful in life.

2. Time- No folks time is not on your side, plain and simple don’t expect to make mad money and you are super late all the time. Life does not work like that the victorious way of thinking is to get everything done today so tomorrow you can bask in the glory of your accomplishments(i.e. profits. etc, etc). Or you can rest and take it easy. or one again you can be victorious and use the next day to get even more work done. hmmmm its up to you to use 24 hours and make the most of it, Listen people you will only be as successful as the Time and effort you put into whatever it is you are trying to succeed at.

3.Common Sense- I almost didn’t put this one because i did not want to discourage anybody, but you all know me by now and “I Like To Keep It Real”. Ok, if you don’t understand killing two birds with one stone I will now break down that concept for you. Example- You are in the Military flying a bomber (go USAF) and you are engaged in combat, you have the capacity to take out multiple enemies but because you were not thinking, or lack of training you use your reaming ammo to only take down one enemy. Well that reaming enemy realizes you are out of ammo and attacks you….. Do you get my point. You have to think get result. You Don’t have to be book smart but you should be, as I like to call it “street smart”.

4.Optimistic- You have to be a believer in yourself . You have to believe you can achieve. You have to tune out negative information. You have to Have faith when you set goals. You have to stay positive and look past today. What do i mean when I say look past today? That just mean you have to have small goals and big goals if you are stuck at a small goal today don’t let that stop you from fighting to reach your large goals.

If you follow these rules you will soon see how easy it is to be successful without even going to school. Im sure you can make a List of successful people without college degrees, yet for some reason everyday young brilliant high school graduates are forced to go to college because they do not understand how easy it is to get wealthy on your own.

Its clear to see that most people who do not have a college degree dress for success with more will power than those with degrees pursuing millionaire status. its like this, im sure that a drunk college girl will have the same chance at becoming a millionaire as most normal non drinking college girls. College is a place to get education and enlightenment, but not the mentality needed to become successful in the business world. Im not against college but you can definitely believe that the time you spend listening to the poor person teaching your class and giving the boring lecture, you could be busy setting the stage for you financial freedom. I dont reccomend becoming a drunk college girl but college girls in general and men are only as successful as they want to be. Please listen to me an open your eyes, there are multiple ways to become a rich millionaire and be successful without ever attending college or getting a degree.

10 ways to build self conf.

Self confidence is the difference between feeling unstoppable and feeling scared out of your wits. Your perception of yourself has an enormous impact on how others perceive you. Perception is reality — the more self confidence you have, the more likely it is you’ll succeed.

Although many of the factors affecting self confidence are beyond your control, there are a number of things you can consciously do to build self confidence. By using these 10 strategies you can get the mental edge you need to reach your potential.

Build Self Confidence

1. Dress Sharp

Although clothes don’t make the man, they certainly affect the way he feels about himself. No one is more conscious of your physical appearance than you are. When you don’t look good, it changes the way you carry yourself and interact with other people. Use this to your advantage by taking care of your personal appearance. In most cases, significant improvements can be made by bathing and shaving frequently, wearing clean clothes, and being cognizant of the latest styles.

This doesn’t mean you need to spend a lot on clothes. One great rule to follow is “spend twice as much, buy half as much”. Rather than buying a bunch of cheap clothes, buy half as many select, high quality items. In long run this decreases spending because expensive clothes wear out less easily and stay in style longer than cheap clothes. Buying less also helps reduce the clutter in your closet.

2. Walk Faster

One of the easiest ways to tell how a person feels about herself is to examine her walk. Is it slow? tired? painful? Or is it energetic and purposeful? People with confidence walk quickly. They have places to go, people to see, and important work to do. Even if you aren’t in a hurry, you can increase your self confidence by putting some pep in your step. Walking 25% faster will make to you look and feel more important.

3. Good Posture

Similarly, the way a person carries herself tells a story. People with slumped shoulders and lethargic movements display a lack of self confidence. They aren’t enthusiastic about what they’re doing and they don’t consider themselves important. By practicing good posture, you’ll automatically feel more confident. Stand up straight, keep your head up, and make eye contact. You’ll make a positive impression on others and instantly feel more alert and empowered.

4. Personal Commercial

One of the best ways to build confidence is listening to a motivational speech. Unfortunately, opportunities to listen to a great speaker are few and far between. You can fill this need by creating a personal commercial. Write a 30-60 second speech that highlights your strengths and goals. Then recite it in front of the mirror aloud (or inside your head if you prefer) whenever you need a confidence boost.

5. Gratitude

When you focus too much on what you want, the mind creates reasons why you can’t have it. This leads you to dwell on your weaknesses. The best way to avoid this is consciously focusing on gratitude. Set aside time each day to mentally list everything you have to be grateful for. Recall your past successes, unique skills, loving relationships, and positive momentum. You’ll be amazed how much you have going for you and motivated to take that next step towards success.

6. Compliment other people

When we think negatively about ourselves, we often project that feeling on to others in the form of insults and gossip. To break this cycle of negativity, get in the habit of praising other people. Refuse to engage in backstabbing gossip and make an effort to compliment those around you. In the process, you’ll become well liked and build self confidence. By looking for the best in others, you indirectly bring out the best in yourself.

7. Sit in the front row

In schools, offices, and public assemblies around the world, people constantly strive to sit at the back of the room. Most people prefer the back because they’re afraid of being noticed. This reflects a lack of self confidence. By deciding to sit in the front row, you can get over this irrational fear and build your self confidence. You’ll also be more visible to the important people talking from the front of the room.

8. Speak up

During group discussions many people never speak up because they’re afraid that people will judge them for saying something stupid. This fear isn’t really justified. Generally, people are much more accepting than we imagine. In fact most people are dealing with the exact same fears. By making an effort to speak up at least once in every group discussion, you’ll become a better public speaker, more confident in your own thoughts, and recognized as a leader by your peers.

9. Work out

Along the same lines as personal appearance, physical fitness has a huge effect on self confidence. If you’re out of shape, you’ll feel insecure, unattractive, and less energetic. By working out, you improve your physcial appearance, energize yourself, and accomplish something positive. Having the discipline to work out not only makes you feel better, it creates positive momentum that you can build on the rest of the day.

10. Focus on contribution

Too often we get caught up in our own desires. We focus too much on ourselves and not enough on the needs of other people. If you stop thinking about yourself and concentrate on the contribution you’re making to the rest of the world, you won’t worry as much about you own flaws. This will increase self confidence and allow you to contribute with maximum efficiency. The more you contribute to the world the more you’ll be rewarded with personal success and recognition.

how to Build self discipline

Discipline is freedom. You may disagree with this statement, and if you do you are certainly not alone. For many people discipline is a dirty word that is equated with the absence of freedom. In fact the opposite is true. As Stephen R. Covey once wrote, “the undisciplined are slaves to moods, appetites and passions”. And in the longer term, the undisciplined lack the freedom that comes with possessing particular skills and abilities - e.g. to play a musical instrument or speak a foreign language.

Self-discipline involves acting according to what you think instead of how you feel in the moment. Often it involves sacrificing the pleasure and thrill of the moment for what matters most in life. Therefore it is self-discipline that drives you to:

Work on an idea or project after the initial rush of enthusiasm has faded away

Go to the gym when all you want to do is lie on the couch and watch TV

Wake early to work on yourself

Say “no” when tempted to break your diet

Only check your email a few of times per day at particular times

In the past self-discipline has been a weakness of mine, and as a result today I find myself lacking the ability to do a number of things which I would like - e.g. to play the guitar. But I have improved, and I can say that it is self-discipline that got me out of bed this morning at 5am to run and then write this article. Believe me, I would love to be curled up in bed right now, but this desire is subordinated by my inner sense of purpose.

If you struggle with self-discipline, the good news is that it can be developed. For example, it is only in the past two years that I have trained myself to wake early. The following are what I have found to be the five traits of self-discipline:

1. Self-Knowledge

Discipline means behaving according to what you have decided is best, regardless of how you feel in the moment. Therefore the first trait of discipline is self-knowledge. You need to decide what behavior best reflects your goals and values. This process requires introspection and self-analysis, and is most effective when tied to written expression. I highly recommend taking the time to write out your goals, dreams and ambitions. Even better, write out a personal mission statement. I found that writing such a statement gave me a greater understanding of who I am, what I am about and what I value. Dr. Covey has an excellent Mission Statement Builder on his site.

2. Conscious Awareness

Self-discipline depends upon conscious awareness as to both what you are doing and what you are not doing. Think about it. If you aren’t aware your behavior is undisciplined, how will you know to act otherwise?

As you begin to build self-discipline, you may catch yourself being in the act of being undisciplined - e.g. biting your nails, avoiding the gym, eating a piece of cake or checking your email constantly. Developing self-discipline takes time, and the key here is you are aware of your undisciplined behavior. With time this awareness will come earlier, meaning rather than catching yourself in the act of being undisciplined you will have awareness before you act in this way. This gives you the opportunity to make a decision that is in better alignment with your goals and values.

3. Commitment to Self-Discipline

It is not enough to simply write out your goals and values. You must make an internal commitment to them. Otherwise when your alarm clock goes off at 5am you will see no harm in hitting the snooze button for “just another 5 minutes….” Or, when initial rush of enthusiasm has faded away from a project you will struggle to see it through to completion.

If you struggle with commitment, start by making a conscious decision to follow through on what you say you’re going to do - both when you said you would do it and how you said you would do it. Then, I highly recommend putting in place a system to track these commitments. As the saying goes, “What gets measured gets improved”.

4. Courage

Did you notice the sweat dripping from the man in the picture at the start of this article? Make no mistake, self-discipline is often extremely difficult. Moods, appetites and passions can be powerful forces to go against. Therefore self-discipline is highly dependent on courage. Don’t pretend something is easy for you to do when it is in fact very difficult and/ or painful. Instead, find the courage to face this pain and difficulty. As you begin to accumulate small private victories, your self-confidence will grow and the courage that underpins self-discipline will come more naturally.

5. Internal Coaching

Self-talk is often harmful, but it can also be extremely beneficial if you have control of it. When you find yourself being tested, I suggest you talk to yourself, encourage yourself and reassure yourself. After all, it is self-talk that has the ability to remind you of your goals, call up courage, reinforce your commitment and keep you conscious of the task at hand. When I find my discipline being tested, I always recall the following quote: “The price of discipline is always less than the pain of regret”. An informal setting like lunch often works because it allows you and your manager to relate on a more personal level. Make sure to articulate in advance, however, what the meeting is about, so your boss can prepare. Also bring notes or materials that support your accomplishments, in case your boss wants to discuss them during the meeting.

The next five steps will help you with the actual discussion of your raise.

1. Set a goal and practice.

Before you meet face to face, decide on a number that you'd be satisfied with and prepare how you'll respond if you don't get it. You also may want to practice your tone on a family member or friend prior to the meeting, because there is a fine line separating the assertive/sincere and boastful/arrogant approaches.

2. Stay positive.

Now, on to the actual discussion. If you're underpaid and you know it, don't complain. Instead, remain calm, positive and professional. Tell your boss about what you enjoy working at the company. Talk about your performance in a factual manner and provide concrete examples of how you add value to the organization. When it comes time to pop the question, use the word "compensation" rather than "raise" or "money." In the event that your boss declines your raise, don't close your ears to the rest of the discussion. She may be willing to offer you other perks instead, like extra vacation time, flexible hours, or a nice dinner with your significant other on the company.

3. Negotiate.

Despite your best efforts, you may not get the compensation you've earned. Sometimes the only way to get a serious pay increase is to switch to a new position. Or, you could ask your boss what you need to do to receive an increase, and if it's possible to revisit the issue in a few months. Do not give an ultimatum, unless you are prepared to walk out the door. Even if you have another job offer in hand that pays more, you cannot assume that your manager will make a counteroffer.

4. Escalate the matter.

Your boss may tell you that she would like to give you a raise, but her hands are tied. If this is the case, ask her if the two of you can schedule a meeting with the higher-up responsible for the decision. Do not go over her head without her knowledge, and make sure she is kept on the loop on all matters concerning your compensation.

5. Follow up.
Discussing a raise may be difficult for your boss, too. He may tell you what you want to hear simply to get you out of his office. Make sure that you follow up appropriately on any verbal promises he makes, and if possible, secure an effective date for your increase. You can also summarize your agreements via email after the meeting. Remember the issue is not closed until you see the change on your paycheck.

Alexandra Levit is the author of "They Don't Teach Corporate in College: A Twenty-Something's Guide to the Business World" (Career Press 2004; corporateincollege.com).

10 Self Motivation Rules!

Self motivation is the only way for you to get out of your current situation that you may not like. You need to have the inner drive to keep your momentum in achieving your goals in life. Without self motivation, nothing else matters. You can hire the most expensive motivator to tell you all the things you already know.

But, if you fail to realize that there is no one else except you who can change your life, then you practically throw your money down the drain by going from one seminar to another in the hope that you can change your life. What matters most is your own action. You need to create and develop your own self motivation to bring you the energy and enthusiasm to pursue the dreams of your life...

Self motivation is the only way for you to get out of your current situation that you may not like. You can hire the most expensive motivator to tell you all the things you already know. But, if you fail to realize that there is no one else except you who can change your life, then you practically throw your money down the drain by going from one seminar to another in the hope that you can change your life. What matters most is your own action. You need to create and develop your own self motivation to bring you the energy and enthusiasm to pursue the dreams of your life.

You need some kind of motivational drive in anything you do. At work, you may need your colleague or boss to motivate you to accomplish your task. At home, you may need your family member to share some motivational thoughts to keep you energetic in your pursuit of your dreams. They can sit with you all day trying to keep you motivated. Again, all these will be meaningless when you yourself fail to acknowledge that you need more lasting drive to really keep your enthusiasm, that is, your self motivation. This is the quality that will separate you from the rest of the people.

Most of you may be thinking that this is going to be a very daunting task as you do not have the slightest idea of how you are going to go about this. You will be surprised as how easy this can really be done. Here are the 10 things that you need to follow:

1. Do not worry if you make mistakes. Making mistakes is one way we can learn and improve in our life. There is no one that has never made any mistake. The most important thing here is you realize that you have made mistakes and do not repeat the same mistakes again. You learn more from mistakes you have made than any other way.

2. Feel happy about your life. Happiness generates more positive energy within you. This energy is important to keep you more optimistic and enthusiastic about your life. Happy people are always motivated to accomplish something in their life.

3. Get out of your comfort zone. You need to learn to get into unfamiliar surroundings to explore better opportunities. Do not just stick around with the same people, same known places, skills or work. Explore new things that will enhance your ability to achieve your goals and keep you stay motivated.

4. Think the unthinkable. Nothing will stop you from thinking of goals you want to achieve. You have to dream high in order to set high goals. Everything starts with a dream. Do not limit yourself in your goals and dreams.

5. Read and listen to inspirational materials. You have to start spending time reading motivational books and listening to inspirational tapes. But, you must also implement what you learn from your reading and listening. New things you learn from these exercises will give you excitement and energy to work harder toward achieving your goals.

6. Resolve problems instead of running away. Your ride to success destination will not be smooth all the time. You will face difficulties. Do not quit when you experience predicaments in your quest to achieve your dreams. Frustrations and setbacks naturally form as parts of your success venture.

7. Appreciate every moment of your life. Think of what your life really is as of now. Appreciate every moment you have currently. Thinking about the past or day dreaming about the future will not bring you anywhere. Appreciating your current conditions makes you feel much better and realize the need to move forward to achieve your goals.

8. Finish what you start. Once you have started something, finish it. Never leave what you do halfway regardless of the end result. This will train you to accomplish something out of things that you do.

9. Face challenges one at a time. Challenges come to us almost all the time. Take up one challenge at a time. Do not try to accumulate and face them at one go. As the challenges accumulate, you will only feel less motivated to face them and finally unable to complete anything.

10. Care less about what people say. You may hear a lot of bad things people say about you. Sometimes those bad comments may come from somebody close to you. As long as you fully know what you are doing to achieve your goals, you can let those comments fall into deaf ears. Thinking too much about what people say will only make you weaker and loose focus on your effort.

Of course, this list does not just stop here. To instill and develop your self motivation, there are more ways you can do. But, if you can really comprehend and take the appropriate actions just based on these 10 things, you will definitely see the results.

About the Author

Fadzil is an entrepreneur, writer, and web content developer. Since that is true, I want the newsletter to be your source for ongoing motivation...

As a member of getmotivation.com newsletter you'll get action packed ideas that will put you on the fast track to personal success...
http://www.getmotivation.com/ezines.html

King Finds His Motivation

TIM PYLE, Columbian staff writer
It was closed for a couple years after exhausting his college eligibility at Weber State in
2000, but now King sees a clear path in his quest to make a career out of professional
basketball.
King has earned his way, with a prolific nine-game stint in Germany during the winter
that is now being followed by more impressive play for the International Basketball
League's Vancouver Volcanoes.
"I think my biggest thing was not to give up," said King, a 6-foot-4, 195-pound guard
who will help the Volcanoes (3-12) try to improve to 3-1 against Central Oregon (9-7) in
a 7:45 p.m. game today at Skyview High School. "A lot of athletes get to the point
where, if things are not going right for them right at that point, they give up. I was
motivated enough to continue trying and not give up on my dream."
A native of Milwaukee, King, 27, played at Blinn (Texas) Junior College before Weber
State.
He averaged about 10 points a game as a senior for the Wildcats, who call Ogden, Utah,
and the Big Sky Conference home.
After graduating from Weber State in 2001, King briefly moved to North Carolina in
hopes of playing in a league that never got off the ground. He then went back to
Milwaukee before coming to Portland two years ago, originally for a Nike job which he
has since left.
All the while, King kept working on his game, and it paid off when he hooked up with a
pro team in Ulm, Germany, this winter. He said he averaged close to 30 points a game
despite joining the team for just the tail end of the season.
Upon returning to Portland in late April, King joined the Volcanoes. He had a prior
relationship with Vancouver co-owners Terrance Dickens and Mikal Duilio, also the IBL's
commissioner, as a player in exhibition games that served as the league's trial run.
King has averaged 17.9 points as the Volcanoes have gone 3-5 since his addition.
"I think we've played our best basketball with him on the court," Vancouver coach Dave
Waldow said. "He can score, or he can dish. He reads the game real well. He can get to
the glass, he can pull up and he can drain the 3-point jumper. I haven't seen a big
weakness in his game."
The combination of King with fellow guards Jeb Ivey and Joe Buller has been lethal, in
stretches, for Volcanoes foes. Waldow often shifts to a full-court press with the trio in
the game, and, offensively, Ivey's spot-up shooting and Buller's knack for getting to the
rim blend in nicely with King's versatility.
"We read each other well," King said. "Jeb and I are two of only a couple guys who have
played overseas ball, so we do the little things and know where to find one another. Joe
is more of a slasher-type player, and it all meshes in together."
King's production for Vancouver has led to inquiries from agents, according to Dickens.
Duilio said he believes that if the fledgling IBL kept complete statistics, which it plans to
do in Year 2, King's stock would by skyrocketing.
"His efficiency is outrageous," said Duilio, noting King plays about 28-30 minutes per
game. "People think he's doing what he's doing in 41 minutes or something, but he's
doing it in much less."
Although King is a long way from the NBA, Waldow said, his skills are of that caliber.
"At Clark open gyms over the years, I've seen NBA players go against a Damon King, a
Charles McKinney or some of these guys, and they are very subtle differences," said
Waldow, the former Clark College men's coach. "To me, when you match Damon King
up physical ability and basketball ability to probably a lot of guys even in the NBA,
there's not much difference. But those guys, for whatever reason, have gotten their foot
in the door."
The secret, King said, to his recent success and rejuvenated basketball career has been
reinventing his game.
"I'm a completely different player than I was in college," King said. "Back then, I
focused on my athleticism, and not really the fundamentals of the game. Now that I'm
older, I'm much better fundamentally and use my head, trying to outwit guys."
So much hard work already behind him, King said he will continue sweating in order to
go as far in the sport as he can.
"There's always new avenues opening up," he said.
That lane is getting wider.

search result :
