Dan Wright

Dan is best known as one-half of the double-act ‘Electric Forecast’. Together with double-act partner, Steve Marsh, he has appeared in a numerous television shows for BBC 3, Ch4, Ch5, MTV, SKY, ITV & E4. Dan and Steve have also co-devised a couple of magazine-style shows for Sky.

As well as his double-act work Dan is also an actor and presenter in his own right, with a number of TV credits to his name.

What the press say about ‘Electric Forecast’:
“The first thing you notice is how striking a partnership this is… a high degree of comedy skill…Outstanding comperes.” Funny.co.uk
“…rapid-fire comedy duo, quirky, physical and seriously weird” Leicester Mercury
“Very original, very funny, extremely entertaining.” City Life magazine

Geoff Norcott

Everything Geoff Norcott does is under-pinned by enthusiasm, optimism and a sharp comic mind. Whether it be on the comedy circuit, where Geoff’s abundance of energy combined with a storming mix of observations, impressions and satire has made him a hugely popular act both in the UK and abroad. Or on television, where Geoff recently went from co-presenter to become the main anchor on the ETV’s WKD Shed Sports Show – his sharp one-liners becoming a popular feature of the nightly debates.

Geoff has also starred in “Spoof”, an impressions show for BBC1, and recently filmed a comedy drama pilot for the BBC alongside Alexander Armstrong. Geoff’s growing number of radio appearances include frequent guest spots on Talksport, where he endeavours to see the funny side of cricket and regular spots on BBC Radio 5, including Andy Zaltzman’s “Yes, It’s The Ashes”.

As a former English literature teacher, Geoff is a refreshing and humorous commentator on any issues related to education. He is also emerging as a vibrant writer, having written for ‘The Now Show’ (BBC Radio 4), ‘Parsons & Naylor’ (BBC Radio 2) & comedy sketches for MTV. In 2007 & 2008 he was also a commissioned writer for Nuts TV, writing and presenting a daily sports show. He’s currently devising a new sketch show for CBBC.

This year Geoff had a very successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe with his second solo show, “The Shocking Truth About Men And Women”.

“A comedian with a big future ahead of him” – The Mirror 2009

Paul Ricketts

Paul tried his hand as a musician, playwright, pornographer, chimney sweep, stage hand and primary school teacher before turning to stand-up comedy on the advice of his therapist. His black, sub – urban humour on everyday, topical and satirical subjects is now in demand.

In 2006 Paul co-hosted his first Edinburgh fringe show – ‘Peter Friends’ at the Roxy Art House. A year later he was part of a late night show as part of the Laughing Horse free festival, performed at the Smirnoff Underbelly and MC-d ‘Pretty Dirty Things’ which received a four star review from ONE4REVIEW.COM. In 2008 Paul hosted ‘Up The Arts Comedy Lock-In’ to packed audience as part of the PBH Free Fringe and performed his first solo hour show ‘Paul Ricketts & Buff Wood – Wood Pushers’ awarded five stars from THREE WEEKS.

Live comedy including: Comedy Store, Just The Tonic, Outside the Box, Comedy Café, Downstairs At The Kings Head, Bearcat Comedy, Falling Down With Laughter, Fun @ The Funhouse, Paul is the regular MC at Up The Arts comedy clubs.

Quotes: ‘always amusing’ TIME OUT (2008), ‘a really funny comic’ ED BYRNE (2008), ‘Ricketts excels as a natural story-teller, with an amusing eloquence that would make you smile even if he was the one telling you that your granny’s just died.’ THREE WEEKS (2008)

Colin Cole

Colin is literally one of the biggest names in comedy in Australia – not only is he 6′ 7″, he is also known for his hugely dynamic performance. His delivery is fast and furious, and his material ranges from the topical to the observational. As well as comedy, Colin has been an actor for many years, and in this field he is known for his versatility and he is a very much sought-after performer.

Colin is a highly skilled and experienced performer, his ability to break barriers with this universally funny material makes him appealing to a wide range of audience. He has toured extensively in the US, Canada and Hawaii, and now he’s also taking the UK by storm.

“He memorised the audience, they only took their eyes off him to laugh” The Melbourne Age

“He comes over from Australia, and takes the audience on a roller coaster of discovery and hilarity previously unseen in America” Bay Examiner, San Francisco

“The highlight of the night had to be Colin Cole – first time performing in the country, and managed to shake the travel dust off his shoes as soon as he hit the stage. He appeared natural and relaxed and had the audience in the palm of his hand. Whether it be a gag on a well-worn subject, or something he spotted on the way into town, every punch line was a gem to behold; every joke expertly crafted. This man, you’ve got to see!” The Toronto Star

Hal Cruttenden

Hal Cruttenden is one of the one of the top comedians working in the UK today, as well as being an accomplished writer and actor. Already this year he has appeared on ‘Rob Brydon’s Annually Retentive’ for BBC3 and has just finished writing and performing in ‘The Omid Djalili Show’ due to be aired on BBC1 towards the end of the year.

His other television credits include, ‘The 11 O’Clock Show’, (Channel 4), ‘Brain Candy’ (BBC3), ‘Live at Jongleurs’ (UK Gold/Paramount), ‘The Comedy Store’ (Paramount) ‘The World Stands Up’ (Paramount Comedy Channel UK, The Comedy Channel Australia, and Comedy Central and BBC America in the U.S), ‘The Warehouse’ (Carlton TV), ‘Carlton Comedy Warehouse’ (Carlton/STV), ‘The Deputy Prime Minister’ (BBC2), ‘Hoot’ (Bravo), ‘Net.Comedy’ (Action Time), ‘Daily Telegraph Open Mic Awards’ (Channel 5) and ‘House of Fun’ (Meridien). He has also warmed up at the BBC for ‘The Jonathan Ross Show’ and the ‘Keith Barrett Show’ in addition to hosting the recordings for ‘The World Stands Up’ at The Clapham Grand.

Hal’s big breakthrough in stand up came with his nomination for the Perrier Newcomer Award at the 2002 Edinburgh Festival for his solo show ‘Hal’, followed by a highly successful run the following year of his second show, ‘To Hal and Back’, which was also performed at the Soho Theatre in London at the end of 2003. At the 2005 Edinburgh Festival, he performed sketches with ‘The Monkey Butlers’ to sell out crowds at the Underbelly Venue. He is a regular performer at all the top UK clubs, including the Comedy Store and Jongleurs, and supported Ardal O’Hanlon and Omid Djalili on their recent nationwide tours.

Internationally, Hal received rave reviews at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal in 2004 and at the Kilkenny Cat Laughs Comedy Festival in 2005. He has done shows throughout the Netherlands, Belgium, and Ireland, and even further afield in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Jakarta, Canada, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Singapore, where he appeared at the Jubilee Hall in the world famous Raffles Hotel. He performed at the opening of the first comedy venue in Bali and, earlier this year, did a week of shows to the Armed Forces in the Falkland Islands!
