Has anyone else ever had to deal with this estate agent?
They are our 'management agents' for the current flat in which we live. Just wanted warn anyone else who was thinking about getting a place with them and have a bit of a rant.

We have a number of things that need to be fixed urgently but seem to be ignored by them. One person in particular has been extremely rude and has called me a liar and hung up when I called. They fob us off everyday saying everything will be fixed by tomorrow. Just this week we were told we had 2 options - put up with it, or move out!....nice!
Really feeling at the end of our tether about this.
Basically wanted a rant and to warn anyone if they are thinking of renting somewhere from them to maybe think twice!

montem primary school, hornsey road: sunday morning boot sale!

I've just started running the refreshments and tea stall at Montem primary school car boot sale... this boot sale is only small and growing, its a really cozy community affair. A search on here for "montem" didn't return any results so I don't think this has been discussed before.

There's a friendly vibe here, the word is the one on bowmans lane near nags head has become an over commercialised monster..

over there they charge the sellers loads, meaning that many people end up paying 18 quid or more just for the right to sell, so its full of scammers and fences. People go there to sell on stolen electronics etc. Last time I walked through it I saw two shouting arguments: one over an apparantly faulty phone and a seperate barney about a duff digibox.

You wouldn't get that sort of thing here at Montem. The main attraction is the organiser Geoff's stall - he's got all sorts of useful household items sourced from auctions are warehouses at amazing prices - natural soap for 20p, tiny laptop/glasses screwdrivers 20p! There is someone here selling nice handbags, and apparantly you sometimes get handmade jewellery for sale here too.

And of course theres my humble tea stall!

today it barely broke even, but I'm hoping that as the boot sale grows, so will the demand for food and drinks. today I was selling fairtrade tea and coffee and three types of rolls: branston and cheese, houmous cheese and chilli, and corned beef + onion.

As the weather gets colder, I'm planning on trying some hot dishes (lamb casserole and/or fish dahl with rice) but all that depends on the numbers of people actually coming.... So I'm shamelessly plugging it here.

Sorry for being such a scumbag, but I think this is excusable because this really is a great community asset right on our doorstep, its just a sunday hobby for me - and even if I wasn't involved like this, I would still recommend this boot sale to you lot anyway.

Its every sunday 7.30am to 1pm (stallholders set up by 7am, £10 flat fee - the rules are "No copy goods, no fags or tobacco")

This is the location N7 7QT

The single yellow lines and bays on hornsey road are free all sunday, unless arsenal are playing - so be aware!

there's no dedicated website as such (one would be a good idea in the future), though the details and organisers contact can be found here: do find on page "montem" on this link

So why not have a gander one of these sundays, and if you do, say hello!

Had a meal there last night - amazing.

Scallops and mushrooms in sauce to start, monkfish as main, hazelbut nougat glace for dessert. Others had the fish curry, red snapper with chilli and assorted desserts. All food was absolutely brilliant.

The owner(?) is really nice and knows his fish and food. Apparently they've been there 21 years! I asked how business was at the moment and he said very uneven and sort of winced. Any fish or food lovers really need to go there!

Previously, I'd only been there once a few years ago and had some awkward crab dish.

In a round about kinda way there's an article about foxes in SG today. Well I think it's round here, given it mentions Simon Pegg being local and he seems to be in the Noble quite a lot.

[The Guardian](http://www.guardian.co.uk/theguardian/2009/nov/02/tame-foxes-in-town)

What struck me was that it matches what I've noticed. There are a pair of young looking foxes who play in my back garden (SHR, north west side). I have watched them from my roof. They just piss about; entirely pointless and playful. Reminded me of monkeys. And they don't mind at all being watched, admittedly from 2 floors up.

Do you think we have particularly playful human-friendly foxes?

Also, has anyone seen Simon Pegg walking a Fox?

Maybe I should start a new thread: "top celeb spot with a wild mammal"?

Or maybe a celebrity with wild beast spot should score higher, bit like a triple word score in scrabble.

Every now and again I am woken by a dog the barks and barks and barks and barks and barks.

It starts around 5:30am and continues until I leave for work at 8:15am

it is not directly out side my room, but slightly in the distance. I bothers me on many levels, one being that it is much closer to others and they have yet to shout or complain.

I live on Tollington Park, and this is out the back of my flat, so it lives in either a Tollington park property or a Bimam Road property.

My question is: Am I allowed to shoot it?
or at least locate it and cut its tongue out?
I'm not sure of the etiquette, but it pisses me off no end and that's all that matters...

If you are aware of this problem, please help.

If you have any ideas of how to combat this problem, please help.

If this is your dog the SORT YOUR SHIT OUT!!!!

as you may be able to tell, I am slightly crabby today, as my f**king sleep has been disturbed by a horrible Yappin C**t of a dog...
