With our ongoing partnership with the Golden Isles Association of REALTORS® (GIAR), we are offering two CE classes in the upcoming months. Please note that while we will be teaching the course, the administration of the classes will be handled by the staff at GIAR. Please visit MyGIAR.com to register!

Code of Ethics: Rise Above (Monday, October 18 @ 9am – 12pm)

This course serves two functions. One: To satisfy the Nat’l Association of REALTORS® requirement for all members to have Code of Ethics training once during each of it’s established triennial windows. The current triennial ends Dec 31, 2021. Any member who has not completed the course will have their membership in jeopardy! Two: This course is approved for 3 hours of Continuing Education credit with the Georgia Real Estate Commission (GREC).

Class will be held live but via Zoom due to GIAR classrooms being temporarily closed for COVID issues.

License Law, Rules, and Life As We Know It (Wednesday, November 10 @ 9am – 12pm)

This course satisfies the state rules that require all licensees in Georgia complete 3 CE hours of an approved license law/rules course as part of their minimal 36 hours of CE requirement during a licensee’s 4 year licensing period.

Yes, we know license law and rules can be deadly boring, so we’ve shaken things up with this class and designed it around a game show format to keep everyone engaged and on his/her toes… because you know… we REALTORS® aren’t competitive at all…

End of National Moratorium on Evictions & What It Means…

Just because the REALTOR® organization led the battle against the CDC’s mandated moratorium on rental evictions doesn’t mean REALTORS are cold-hearted bastards ready to throw grandma out in the streets. What this means is that while the moratorium benefitted some legitimate folks who were struggling to pay their rent due to income loss and large operations landlords could absorb the cost, it failed to consider the small investor, the ‘mom and pop’ landlords who rely on the rental income to cover their mortgages.

What the legal battle to end the moratorium succeeded in doing was to force our leaders to look to other, more-balanced and equitable means to help tenants during this time through rental subsidies without putting private property owners on the hook for covering the costs.
