Macro Economics.. Help

Hi, 6th year student here. Economics isn’t too bad, definitions and common sense questions take up alot of it. But it’s the macro-economics that are killing me. My teacher is brutal. He has this west cork accent that is impossible to understand and he’s not helping us at all, he gives no tips and any questions for him? “Shut up or get out of my class”. He flies through notes at 100 miles an hour, none of them are compact or easy to read, they’re waffle. I’ve seen other schools and their notes are so much clearer. But hey, were up to the 1983 economics paper.. maybe we’ll reach the 90′s before my pre’s?

Anyway, Macro Economics, the supply curves etc. how the hell did you learn them? Because they’re confusing the hell out of me.

Firstly Good luck everyone expecting offers on Monday! I hope ye get what you’re hoping for!

It’s been a while since I’ve been here so I’ll refresh your memories I sat my leaving cert in 2011 and blogged here as michael2010 during 6th year. I wrote a lot about preparing for the Leaving cert., hpat, ucas, cao and medicine. I must say this site has progressed a lot since then and I’m glad to see it doing so well.

Well basically i have done no study and no work in fifth year. I tried to repeat but they were not taking any repeats. My grades were extremely poor (D’s and C’s). Im not aiming for big points as i am only going for arts in NUIG so i can then go onto teaching. My parents were extremely angry as they should be but they said i have to dedicate my Sixth Year to study alone and that i should start studying on the 20th go August.

I don’t know if this is too harsh or is it the only way i can get the grades i need..if anyone could offer me some advice on how to study and how to dedicate the necessary time to studying.

Is it possible to take up Spanish in 5th year and still do well in it after not having done it in in the junior cert?

Does anyone know any good study tips for Irish grammar and the tenses? No matter what I do, they just don’t stick in my brain! I’m at the end of 5th year now, and am planning to get grinds during the summer.

My Irish is awful. So any tips, sites, books would be much appreciated.

Instead of studying like a normal person aiming for almost 600 points I wrote a poem instead and I thought I would share because I weird like that Please feel free to comment about how awful and weird a poet I am ( I’m considering writing a book of poems and make future leaving cert students study them mwa ha ha )

I call it searching for inspiration:

I’m searching for inspiration

To study this quotation

‘cause I can’t see what Dick Kings wife

Has to do with my life.

You see, I want to be a vet

To help the worlds pets

But I’ve left it too late

I’ll be lucky with 108

So I’m looking for some inspiration

To study this quotation.

But what could it be,

Is what I’m struggling to see

I don’t think I’d study

Even for any money.

It means nothing to me

So what could it be?

Maybe to stop the hunger and pain

Which is the earth’s bane

But I know in my head

Points don’t equal bread

Now that the French Orals are over, i was wondering did anyone read the Novel L’etranger by Albert Camus for their documnet…

Im doing it now for next years oral, and im taking french outisde of school…

any help/notes or even just advice would be great...

I picked the novel to have something vibrant and abstract than just a picture…

i am currently in 3rd year doing junior cert this year, i had planned on getting into TY but didnt get in… suddenly have been told ive too make subject choices next week… careers teacher is no help and never in school, can someone explain what lcvp is? Thanks!
