This is a long one, so I have broken it up into 2 podcasts. We're back working on the album, and I jump in with both feet. I work on some small guitar parts for "In Love With You." however, It takes me damn near 45 minutes to get through 1 4 bar phrase. My guitar playing sucks. This installment consists of some random rambling as well as recording the bass track to "Mother." We'll move on to another song in the next installment I promise. It was sort of a slow session because I struggle with setting up input quantization. I then discover that quantization sounds like shit, and I don't end up using it in the end. I appologize for the audio quality, as I used a crappy usb mic. I ended up recording on the Mac itself using a program called Sound Studio 2.0. I'll put a link to it in my next show notes. THe piano mentioned in the show can be found at www.ksounds.com Anyway, I'm sick of typing, so I'm gonna end this journal. Thanks so much for tuning in, and stay tuned for more.

Sorry for the ogg file last time. For some reason, the Lame mp3 encoder somehow became unregistered, when all along it should have been free. Db poweramp would only let me encode to Ogg for some reason, so I chose it in order to get a podcast up. After fielding a shit load of complaints about the ogg file not being readable in most portables, I decided to search for another encoder. I found one, and we're back up and running with mp3. Sorry for the repeat file, but I wanted to make this accessible for everyone. Studiography 3 will be available later today once I get it edited.

In this installment, I work solely on the vocal track for Mother. Since it's my first time working with the vocals for this song, I struggle through the feel and approach. You'll here tons of punches, do overs, etc as I try and fight my way through. I'm a competant vocalist, but not a 1 take Willy. I'm still not sure I have it the way I want it.

I'm not sure when the next podcast will be uploaded because my laptop, which is what I use to record the podcasts is currently out of comission. Once I get it fixed, I'll resume podcasting. Happy listening.
