i tell me husband they are so sweet.

who knew tulips were so darn tasty?!

a few days prior i wanted to take pictures of my new tulips. i had just gotten the bulbs from my mom in the fall… so i was excited to see what they were going to look like. i could not wait to see the colors! it was windy, so i wasn't getting very clear shots of everything. i figured i would just take them when it was not so windy. did not happen.

506… the fun of my birthday falling on a day of celebrations.

507… my first orchid. so beautiful.

508… spending my birthday with my family celebrating my Godchild's graduation.

509… hearing him give a wonderful welcoming speech.

510… so proud as he walked across that stage.

511… seeing relatives from so far away.

512… laughing and having such a great celebration.

513… a sweet round of 'happy birthday' when we got to the party.

514… deciding to leave my camera at home so i could fully be in the moment and not be thinking about photos.

515… being able to watch the amazing young man he has grown into as he steps into this new part of his journey.

we had some gorgeous new tulips this year. such amazing and striking colors!! this one has so many shades of oranges and yellows and pinks and reds.

i am always in awe of the colors HE makes for us! aren't you?

i am a may baby and i received such a sweet gift from my mom for my birthday.
a personal birthday cake, in a special mug, just for me. having your own individual cake makes you feel extra special! we all want to make our loved ones feel extra special.
