As we already know recent Tier 4 policy forced some private college in London to bring external university campus in London. Previously University of Ulster London campus, University of Sunderland London campus, Glyndwr University London, Angalia Ruskin University London campus and few more Uni in a race to be in London.

Unofficial said, "University of Central Lancashire is coming in London with LSBF who will operate their London campus programme and issue university CAS letter for international students.

If LSBF issue CAS letter from UCLAN then their students will get part-time work permit opportunity according to Tier 4 UKBA rules.

BRIT College removed from Tier 4 list

Consecutively few colleges are coming back in Tier 4 list and few college's are losing their Tier 4 licence as recently BRIT college lost teir Tier 4 staus.

In the last week BRIT college has been suspended from Uk Border Agency Tier 4 list. So therefore many students and teachers of BRIT college are very much tensed. Most of the student of BRIT College is comes from South Asia (Bangladesh, India, Pakistan).

Unofficial saids London SAM will not be back on Tier 4

Well, How was the title of this news! Of course shocked to hear that London School of Accountancy and Management (London SAM) is not coming back on Tier 4.

Some unofficial (but authentic)said London SAM passed their deadline date and Uk Border Agency officials visited their campus. Then they posted a official notice like "We are expecting more two weeks for final decision by the Uk Home office" hanged on the board on 19th February. But till now they dont get any results.

One of the London SAM student said " Our principal came and said us you guys dont worry about it. Just make sure you are doing your job regularly (means attending class) and now we are planning to go the Court for the judgement."

So what does it means to you. Its looks a clear picture to us. Just guess yourself. Ok wait till new information comes.

This is a really pathetic news for international students. London School of Accountancy and Management (London SAM) has been eliminated from Tier 4 list yesterday (20th January, 2010). Till 19th of January they was at Tier 4 A listed college but just after one days later it happened. Nowadays Uk Border Agency shorten their Tier 4 list removing some prestigious college.

After contacting with London SAM, they said even they dont know why its happened and they are trying to solve this problem. Recently few familiar college like Holborn College, London SAM, Guildhall College and many others college got elimination from Uk Border Agency without any notice.

ATC International's Mike Ashworth offers some advice on passing paper F9 and P4.

Each of the two compulsory case studies in paper P4 is likely to contain relatively easy requirements (for relatively high marks), for example cost of capital estimates, and at least one very demanding requirement (for relatively low marks), eg estimating the required return on a new bond issue to maintain shareholder wealth. Bank the easier marks and atleast make a sensible attempt at complex requirements, wrinting your assumptions and clearly explaining your approach.

As there is choice of two form three questions in section B the examiner can test anything he wants - after all, 'emerging issues in financial and financial management' is a key area of the syllabus. Although this may appear rather scary, one question will be wholly discursive and , to a large degree, may be attempted using a combination of common sense (discussing ethical issues, for example) and existing knowdlege.

United Kingdom Border Agency recently asked to all Tier 4 applicants to check their VISA LETTER properly before submitting visa application to the Uk high commission.

According to UKBA ....

If you are applying under tier 4, please make sure that the visa letter issued to you by your approved education provider contains all of the required information as described in the tier 4 guidance.

If you send us an application with a visa letter that does not contain all the required information, we will refuse your application.

It is your responsibility to make sure that the information you send with your application is correct and complete. If your visa letter does not contain the required information, please contact your approved education provider.

The new student route will dramatically simplify the immigration system for genuine students and education providers. We will replace 10 routes to the UK with just one tier. Students who would have come to the UK under the following routes will be able to apply for one of two new student visas:

New Uk Student Visa: Point Based system

Applying for a General Student visa or a Child Student visa under Tier4 is a simple process and should be done in the country of which you are a national or a legal resident. You can apply for a visa by post, in person or online. For your application to be successful you will need:

A current passport or travel document;
A visa letter from the institution you are planning to study at;
Proof of maintenance funds;
Evidence of any qualifications the sponsoring institution took account of when deciding to accept you for the course you plan to study;
Any other supporting documents relevant to your application.

Under the new system, a student needs to have 40 points to qualify for the grant of the visa. A student would require an acceptance letter from the educational institution he/she intends to attend. The respective educational institution would become the sponsor for the student, who would fetch 30 points. For the remaining 10 points, a student would have to show evidence for having enough finances to cover his/her course fee and monthly living expenses for one year.

You will also need to make an appointment at your nearest visa application center to provide your biometric details (10 digit finger scans and a digital photograph) as part of the application process.

The UK Border Agency will refuse your application and you may be banned from coming to the UK for 10 years if you use a false document, lie or withhold relevant information.

Students looking to study in the UK for six months or less, and who do not wish to take any employment while they are in the UK, or to extend their stay while they are in the country, can enter the UK on a student visitor visa.

Visa applications have to be made on IM2A forms, which are available free of cost at the British Embassies. This form has to be filled up by the student and submitted to the embassy, along with the Visa application fee and the required documents as mentioned below.

Immigration Rules for Student

You must intend to study at a publicly funded university or college, a
bonafide private institution or a fee-paying independent school.
You must be able to and intend to follow a full time degree course, or a weekday, full time course at a single institution involving at least 15 hours of organized, daytime study per week.
You must be able to pay for your course and the living expenses of your husband or wife and children (if they are with you) without working in UK or claiming public funds.
You must not intend to work in UK unless you are accepted for a
course lasting longer than six months, when you may work part-time or
during vacations.
You must intend to leave UK at the end of your studies.

Documents Required For a Student Visa

Visa Fees:
1. For student visa you have to pay Tk 14355, in favour of "British High Commission".
2. All visa fees will need to be paid (Bank Drafts) at designated branches of BRAC Bank Ltd.
3. Applicants will be given a receipt (which will be valid for 30 days from the next working day).

4. The receipt should then be submitted with an application form to one of the Visa Application Center (VAC) or the British High Commission's commercial partner VFS Center

Finger Scans & Photograph For Visa
All persons applying for UK visas, irrespective of nationality, will have to apply in person to one of the VACs to have their finger scans and digital photograph taken.

Photography Specification:
1. One recent, passport-sized (45mm x 35mm), colour photograph. The photograph should be:
a. Taken against a light coloured (white, off-white etc.) background
b. Clear and of good quality and not framed or backed
c. Printed on normal photographic paper
d. Full face without sunglasses, hat or other head covering unless for cultural or religious reasons

You have to submit the following supporting documents:

1. Visa Application Form >VAF 3
2. A passport with at least 6 months validity. There must have visa pages to paste the visa document. You can also submit your old passport, if available.
3. One passport sized photograph. This must not be more than 6 months old. Please see photography specification described above.
4. The appropriate visa fee.
5. Evidence to support the information you have given (see below for more details)
6. Unless single, please provide evidence of your marital status e.g. marriage or civil partnership certificate
7. Acceptance letter from university/college in the UK. In this letter there must have the following information

a. Start and end date of the course

b. How many hours to study per week.

c. Accommodation and its cost information.

d. Tuition fee of this course.

8. Evidence of any previous study or qualifications gained in the UK.
9. Evidence of any English language qualifications e.g. IELTS or TOEFL.
10. Evidence of previous education history.
11. Evidence of the cost of your course fees
12. Evidence of any funds set aside by your financial sponsors specifically to pay for your study
13. Evidence of your financial sponsor’s occupation, income and any savings or assets they have
14. Dependent of a Student
15. Evidence of your sponsor’s permission to live in the UK
16. Evidence of the course of study your sponsor is doing or is going to do in the UK
17. Finances and employment

Details about various Qualifications offered by UK Colleges and Universities:

First Degree Courses in Arts and Sciences (Bachelor's degree) are normally of three or four years' duration and are largely taught courses, sometimes including the preparation of a short written thesis.
Sandwich Courses are where the coursework is accompanied by practical work. A student could either complete 2 years of college, then a year of commercial training before returning for a final year in college. Or, he/she could do a 4-year course with 3-6 months’ training interspersed each year. The main advantage is that the student gets real experience while in the learning mode. Most universities offer this type of education.
Higher National Diploma (HND) is awarded by Vocational and Technical Educational Councils. They offer a 2-year course in a vocational subject like scientific and technical business subjects. Great emphasis is placed on work experience. It is often seen as the first step towards a degree course as the credits can be transferred.
Vocational Courses offer an opportunity to enter the university system slowly. Business and Technology Education Council (BTEC), General Vocational Qualifications (GNVQ), General Scottish Vocational Qualifications (GSVQ) offer recognized courses in a range of disciplines. Most students opt to take 1-2 years of, for example, BTEC courses before being transferred to a degree programme. BTEC national certificates/diplomas are usually accepted as an alternative to A-Levels.
Postgraduate study may take the form of an independent piece of research under supervision or a taught course, and leads to a variety of degrees and awards. The taught courses normally last for one or sometimes two years. Completion of a doctorate normally takes a minimum of three years. Many post-experience courses are also available, either leading to a qualification or providing a refresher course for graduates wishing to update or extend their knowledge. Occasional students are admitted by some institutions in limited numbers. They attend courses or undertake research, possibly for a period of one or two years. These courses do not lead to any formal qualification or 'credit' although certificate of satisfactory attendance may be given.
