In North Carolina a family was apprehended by authorities for taking to the streets sans clothing.

The nude ensemble included a woman in her 20s, a toddler aged-child and "a mother", aged in her 40s .The younger woman was also carrying a new-born baby who we also presume was naked.

The family appeared to be enjoying their stroll but The Police took exception to it and put a halt to proceedings, which is when the adults informed them they were simply following God's instructions. One of many seemingly petty commands God has been issuing lately.

"The Lord told them to get naked and walk down the street," police in Charlotte-Mecklenburg told the Charlotte Observer.

The adults were mentally and physically evaluated but "it didn't appear that they had any problems short of [the fact] that they didn't have any clothes on," police told the Observer. Child Protective Services were notified of this event.

At least nobody asked any one to chop off their penis but maybe that is because they weren't any around!

Drunk BBC Host Booted Off the Air During Final Show!

"BBC Radio Stoke host Paula White, who has filled the station's afternoon slot with "guests, chat and outlook on life" for the past six years, was unceremoniously pulled off the air during her final program over concerns she was drunk on the job."

White, had been slurring her speech for 30 minutes before a listener questioned her Sobriety.

"I'm not drunk. I've had a couple of drinks, but I'm not drunk." she replied.

White's reply was one of the internationally recognized answers that people who are definitely drunk definitely give. In any event, her retort and behavior was enough for her higher-ups to yank her from her final show and replace her with fellow DJ Denholm Siergertz who we presume was more sober than she.

"Paula has done so much for the community that I think it would be unfair if she was to be remembered for something like this," said her friend, Sentinel columnist Fred Hughes, defending her otherwise commendable 16-year career.

Racist, Homophobic Heat Map of the US Produces Surpising Results!

A group of researchers from the Floating Sheep project have aggregated all the racist, homophobic an ableist (directed at disabled people) tweets in the United States and plotted them on an interactive map.

Students at Humboldt State University in Arcata, Calif., looked up all the geotagged tweets in North America between June 2012 and April 2013, manually determine if hateful word was used in a positive, negative or neutral way in a project called the "Geography of Hate."

"Hateful tweets were aggregated to the county level and then normalized by the total number of tweets in each county," the group said. "This then shows a comparison of places with disproportionately high amounts of a particular hate word relative to all tweeting activity."

Homophobic words assessed included: "dyke," "fag," "homo" and "queer."

Racist words included: "nigger," "chink," "wetback," "gook" or "spick."

The South and East of the country showed major high density fronts of bigotry and hatred with high density areas also visible in areas in the mid-west as well.

The West Coast of the US showed mild patches of intolerance with isolated pockets of heavy bigotry in the North West and areas around Nevada.

Man Bites Dog to Save Wife from Brutal Attack!

Man's best friend has turned on him yet again. Dogs are finding clever ways to cull humans, including running us over us with vehicles, electrocuting us and even shooting us. However, this story is more of the regular variety, a good old fashioned dog attack.

An Iowa woman, Caren Henry, was viciously attacked by a 50-pound Labrador-mix from a neighbor's yard while walking her dog Candy. The dog bit her abdomen and right thigh, scratched her eyes and bit her nose clean off.

Laine Henry, Caren's husband, rushed to his wife's aid and tried to pull the dog off her, sustaining injuries to his arm in the process. Ultimately, he succeeded but only by taking a page out of the dog's book and biting it back on its nose.

"finally he had to bite the dog in its nose, and it let loose." Caren Henry explained.

The county doesn't have a vicious-dog ordinance. Luckily, for Karen her husband managed to put an end the vicious attack with some quick thinking. If Laine Henry hadn't been there to help his wife who nose what would have happened?

NASA unveils the clearest look yet at a mega hurricane occupying Saturn's north pole.

NASA's Cassini spacecraft snapped the spectacular pictures last November from a vantage point approximately 261,000 miles from Saturn -- a distance so extreme that the above picture has an image scale of about 1 mile per pixel.

This super sized Hurricane stretches about 1,250 miles wide with wind speeds of up to 330 mph dwarfing any of it counterparts recorded on earth. A hexagon-shaped cloud pattern, measuring 15,000 miles across (roughly the size of four Earths), surrounds the hurricane, which you can see in the photo below.

Acquitted Sex Crime Suspect said to Suffer from Sexomnia!

COPENHAGEN, Denmark — A Danish man has been acquitted of molesting two 17-year-old girls after he was found to suffer from a rare sleep disorder.

Danish courts have cleared a 31-year-old man of sex crime charges saying medical tests determined that he suffers from a rare disorder called "Sexomnia."

Sexomnia, also known as "Sleep Sex" or informally as “banditing,” is a form of parasomnia (similar to sleepwalking) where the person afflicted goes to great lengths to initiate sexual behavior while sleeping (more).

The man in question was charged for a sex crime after fondling two 17-year-old teenagers girls while sleeping in his suburban Copenhagen apartment after a party in 2011. The girls awoke and interrupted the man and reported the incident to the police. The man claimed to have no recollection of any of the events that occurred. After a battery of tests and a trial, a Danish court ruled that it was adequately proven that the man's actions were as a result of his ailment.

Michael Laub, a Danish sleep specialist who wasn't involved in the case, said it's a rare but widely recognized sleep disorder.

Prosecutor Martin von Buelow announced that he would not appeal the ruling.

Some people can't get it up when they are awake and others can't stop themselves from getting it up when they are asleep ~ Strange world we live in. However, I am not willing to discount the possibility that Sexomnia is a steaming pile of horse manure.

Steve Goff confessed to a 1990 murder claiming to be haunted by visions of the victim's mother at night.

A southern New Jersey admitted killing a teenager 23 years ago claims he did so because he was haunted by nighttime visions of the boy's mother.

Steven Goff, 41, of Ventnor, turned himself in to police Monday and confessed to the 1990 stabbing of 15-year-old Frederick "Ricky" Hart in Galloway Township. The incident happened over 23 years ago when Goff was only 18 years old. Hart was reported missing and his remains were only discovered by a hunter one and half years later after decomposition had made determining any details about the cause of death impossible.

Alan Rickel, a close friend of Goff, revealed that Goff had been tortured by his actions and had trouble living with what he had done. "He couldn't bear it anymore," Rickel told The Associated Press on Wednesday. "He told me he had nightmares. He'd go to sleep and see the kid's mother staring in his face."

Goff, known to have undisclosed mental issues, was en route to Canada after informing Rickel that he planned "to meet his maker and 'fess up to what he had done," but had a change of mind and returned to New Jersey where he turned himself in. Goff revealed to investigators details about the murder of only the killer could have known.

Goff was charged with murder and a weapons offense for stabbing Hart in the woods behind a condominium complex on May 7, 1990. At a court appearance scheduled to present the charges to him, Goff surprised the judge by confessing and saying he was ready to enter a guilty plea, sobbing lightly as he said, "I did the crime." Goff accepted the council of a public defender but only to expedite things.

"I always thought it was that he was a moody guy, but now it's obvious that it was because of this," Rickel explained. "He had some demons in him."

The seat belt t-shirt is, quite simply, a white t-shirt that features a black strap running diagonally across the chest. It's meant to fool Chinese police officers into thinking that the driver is wearing a seat belt.

The plus side is that you are less likely get pulled over by police for not wearing a seat belt which is something that may appeal to most. Unfortunately, the cons of such an idea include flying out of your windscreen and becoming scrambled eggs on someone else's car if you have an accident.

Greek soccer player Giorgos Katidis will never play for his country after his use of the infamous "Hitler Salute" in his goal celebration. Katidis netted AEK's 2-1 victory over Veria in the Greek league last Saturday, took off his shirt, straightened is arm out at a 45 degree angle and did everything short of yelling out "Heil Hitler!".

If it was a joke, nobody found it funny. The Greek Football Federation said Sunday in a statement that the AEK Athens midfielder's gesture "is a deep insult to all victims of Nazi brutality." Katidis was then handed a lifetime ban, barring him from playing any football at international level for Greece. The football federation is also pressing AEK Athens to dismiss Katidis from involvement in domestic competition.

Katidis insists he did not know the meaning of his gesture, claiming to detest fascism on his Twitter account. If Katidis truly doesn't know the meaning of his gesture...well, "HE BETTER AXE SOMEBODY..."

The Popes changing his name after election has a theological explanation rooted in the Bible. God changed the name of all people he assigned special missions to. One example of this is Abraham in the book of Genesis.

Jesus, also changed the name of several of his disciples upon assigning them missions, St. Peter and St. Paul being two examples of this. The custom gave way to the tradition of Popes changing their name when they are elected as a successor to Peter.

Oscar Pistorius(above) is out on bail facing charges for the death of his then girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

Three weeks after is arrest in the shooting death of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, Olympian Oscar Pistorius’ lawyers are returning to court to challenge some of the conditions of his bail. Pistorius' lawyers are challenging the conditions of his bail claiming the conditions are too stringent.

Among other things, Pistorius' bail conditions required him to turn in his passport, barred him from returning to his luxurious home in Pretoria (the scene of the crime) and forbid him from consuming any drugs or alcoholic beverages.

Pistorius is reported to be "on the verge of suicide" and distraught at his uncle's home seeking solace in Bible and obviously really needing a drink.

Christie Dawn Harris moved into unprecedented territory when she used her vagina to conceal a loaded weapon.

Harris was arrested for drug possession and during processing kept insisting that she needed to go to the bathroom. Before the Police could acquiesce to her demand, Harris was required to forfeit her clothing and change into standard issue jail uniform.

When Harris was directed to take her underwear off for inspection she hesitated, claiming she she didn’t want to take her underwear off because she was on her period.

CHIVALRY IS DEAD, and so is a young lady whose boyfriend managed to flee leaving her subject to the dinner reservations of a hungry lion.

Wildlife Officials rangers in Zimbabwe put the northern resort town of Kariba on full alert and are using trackers to bait and trap several man eating lions which have been credited with at least two fatal attacks this week. Unfortunately, the rangers have proven to be a greater danger to themselves than the lions with one ranger managing to shoot another in the foot and thigh in a trap intended to catch the lions. A trap perhaps too intricately planned but worth a shot.

Drug Dealer Butt-Dials Police, Gets Captured!

Police in Molalla, a city near Portland, Ore., say they intercepted a phone call of a live drug deal after one of the suspects sat on her phone and accidentally dialed 911. The 911 dispatcher listened in and sent in the dogs.

Police rushed to the scene and found a small drug deal taking place about a block away from the Police station. The suspects denied having the phone on them but the 911 dispatcher confirmed that she could still could hear the officer phone the same phone that accidentally called in. Police searched the suspects and found methamphetamine, marijuana and other paraphernalia.

"This, I will say, is a first, and got a chuckle around the department," Molalla police spokesperson Aaron Christopherson told NBC News.

Raleigh Reynolds, 25 (left), was arrested on felony drug charges of possession and delivery. Dana Lucht, 25, was in possession of less than one ounce of marijuana and was summoned to appear in court, police said.

The butt in question appears not to have been charged by authorities but is expected to accompany its owner to prison when the time comes.

Florida Man Shot by his Own Dog!

Gregory Dale Lanier, 35, of Sebring Florida was driving merrily along State Road 17 North with only his dog as a companion when he suddenly felt a sharp a sharp pain in his leg.

Lanier's dog through some chain of events fired a weapon upon its owner, wounding his leg in the process. Lanier didn't know the 9mm pistol resting on the floor of his truck was loaded and found out the hard way when the dog accidentally caused it to fire upon him.

This isn't the first time a dog has fired a weapon at its owner. In 2011, a yellow Labrador from Utah jumped onto a 12-gauge shotgun and fired 27 pellets into his owner's buttocks. Recently, we also did story on how a dog managed to jump into a car and cause the vehicle to run over it's owner, killing them in the process; both incidents putting the title "Man's best friend" in question. Dale may have massive explaining to do his life insurance company because such a kerfuffle is guaranteed to cause a massive spike in his term life insurance rates.

Police say they have no plans to arrest a dog in question, after determining that the shooting was accidental.

Conservative Christian group One Million Moms' concluded that a Geico Ad featuring a woman and a talking pig (Maxwell) promotes illicit sexual behavior between humans and animals. "Maxwell" has featured in several Geico advertisements to date.

I have to say, I never for one moment took the advertisement to it's most grotesque possible conclusion. I think to conclude that the advertisement promotes sexual activity between humans and animals is perhaps indicative of an innate perversion that the average person simply cannot relate to.

Oscar Pistorius Tells His Story but is it Believable?

Paralympic and Olympic star Oscar Pistorius appeared today in a Pretoria court for a bail hearing. Charged with the murder of girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, Pistorius's counsel argued that the killing was not premeditated, while the prosecution argued the opposite.

The intention of the hearing was for the defense to have the state downgrade the charges against Pistorius from "Category 6" to a "Category 5" which would increase the Olympic star's chances of being released on bail until the scheduled court hearing.

For the first time since the tragic event, Oscar Pistorius gave us his account of the night.

In his statement, Pistorius said Steenkamp came over February 13, opting for a quiet dinner in over a night out with friends. They wrapped up the night with a bit of television in bed for him, some yoga for her. She had brought him a Valentine's Day present to open the next day.

After the couple had gone to bed, he said he got up in the early hours of February 14 to close the balcony door in his bedroom when he heard a sound in the bathroom.

Pistorius said he'd been a victim of violence and burglary in the past, and realized with terror that contractors who worked at the house had left ladders outside.

Fearing someone had entered the home through the open bathroom window, moving in the dark on the stumps of his amputated legs, Pistorius grabbed his pistol from under the bed and yelled at the intruder to get out.

"I fired shots at the toilet door and shouted to Reeva to phone the police. She did not respond and I moved backwards out of the bathroom, keeping my eye on the bathroom entrance," Pistorius said in his statement. "Everything was pitch-dark in the bedroom and I was still too scared to switch on a light."

"When I reached the bed, I realized that Reeva was not in bed. That is when it dawned on me that it could have been Reeva who was in the toilet. I returned to the bathroom calling her name," he said.

He said he threw open the balcony door and screamed for help, put on his prosthetic legs and tried to kick in the door to the separate room inside the bathroom containing the toilet. Then, he said, he picked up a cricket bat, smashing panels out of the door before finding a key and unlocking it.

"Reeva was slumped over but alive," he said.

Pistorius said he called for help and was told to take her to the hospital himself.

He carried her downstairs and tried to help but, but she died.

"I cannot bear to think of the suffering I have caused her and her family, knowing how much she was loved," he said.

But he said he did not mean to kill her, and protested the charges against him.

"I fail to understand how I could be charged with murder, let alone premeditated murder because I had no intention to kill my girlfriend," Pistorius said in the statement.

"We were deeply in love and couldn't be happier," he said."I loved her and I know she felt the same way." CNN REPORTS

Magistrate Desmond Nair ruled that Pistorius should be charged with premeditated murder, a “category 6” offense that will make it very difficult for the defendant to be granted bail. The judge also stated that he reserved the right to change his mind once further evidence was presented.

A gigantic flare accompanied by a large explosion could be seen as a meteorite entered into the earth's atmosphere in the Urals region of Russia.

People in the Urals region in Russia saw burning objects raining down from the sky after a meteorite exploded above the Earth causing a violent meteor shower.

At around 9 o'clock in the morning a meteorite entered the earth's atmosphere over the Urals region of Russia and broke into several pieces.

Viewers of a Swedish news channel getting a little more than they bargained for.....

Rip-roaring, hot, sweaty, x-rated action was the foil to a Swedish news report as a screen abreast of the news anchor displayed an adult movie for over 10 minutes.

The incident took place during a Monday broadcast on 24-hour Swedish news channel TV4 News during a segment discussing Russia's support for the Syrian regime.

During the report a pornographic film began playing on one of the television screens situated behind the anchor. The blurred gyrations continued for 10 minutes before the screen was noticed by viewers and employees alike.

"At first I realized I was looking at a naked woman and it quickly became clear she was having sex," exclaimed a flustered viewer who survived the 10 minute ordeal unhurt.

TV4 news editor Andreas Haglind confirmed that the adult film had been shown live and suggested that the screen in question was likely connected to another computer server elsewhere in the studio rather than an employee actively watching porn on the job.

Sounds like one of those, "I don't know how it got on my screen, it was pop-up..." excuses and I am sure TV4 news executives are searching employees for Kleenex, Vaseline or any other evidence of foul play.

Pope Benedict XVI First Pope to Retire Since 1415.

Pope Benedict XVI to retire on February 28th 2013.

The Vatican has announced that Pope Benedict XVI will hang up his gown on February, 28, 2013. The 85-year-old Pope announced his decision at a meeting of The Vatican Cardinals citing age-related, health concerns as the reason for his resignation.

The Pope stated that being the ordained leader of over a billion Roman Catholics worldwide required, "both strength of mind and body," qualities he felt he did not possess anymore.

The Pope revealed his position in a statement,

"After having repeatedly examined my conscience before God, I have come to the certainty that my strengths due to an advanced age are no longer suited to an adequate exercise of the Petrine ministry," he told the cardinals. "I am well aware that this ministry, due to its essential spiritual nature, must be carried out not only by words and deeds but no less with prayer and suffering.

"However, in today's world, subject to so many rapid changes and shaken by questions of deep relevance for the life of faith, in order to govern the barque of St. Peter and proclaim the Gospel, both strength of mind and body are necessary — strengths which in the last few months, has deteriorated in me to the extent that I have had to recognize my incapacity to adequately fulfill the ministry entrusted to me."

The last Pope to resign was Pope Gregory XII, who stepped down in 1415 in a deal to end the Great Western Schism among competing papal claimants.

The Vatican is expected to begin proceedings immediately which will see Pope Benedict XVI replaced by the end of March 2013.
