POSITION:  Digital Marketing Intern

Style Architects is currently seeking a Digital Marketing Intern to join our growing Digital Strategy Team. This position will be responsible for supporting multiple clients on social media management, website management, and social analytics projects. Intern will receive a monthly stipend.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor and interact with social channels for various lifestyle clients
• Schedule and track posts while maintaining weekly content calendar
• Manage Style Architects blog and co-create blog schedule
• Manage blog content deadlines and upload posts
• Pull social analytics reports and perform high level data analysis
• Extract key findings to input in monthly client deliverable
• Translate insights into impactful strategy adjustments
• Assist in the writing of product descriptions, and uploading of product images for ecommerce clients

REQUIREMENTS:

• An undergraduate college student (in either their Junior or Senior year), pursuing a BA or BS degree in Business, Communications, or related field
• A passion for social media, with expert understanding of all primary social media platforms – Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter
• Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Experience with using either SproutSocial or Hootsuite
• Experience in rapidly growing and fostering an audience or community
• A self-starter, with managerial mindset, who requires little oversight and proactively drives analysis and strategy
• Ability to work efficiently across departments with a variety of individuals
• Ability to transform concepts into effective, brand-activating communication
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Highly organized; keen attention to detail
• Available for 20 hrs/wk in office
• Must have personal laptop

PREFERRED:

• Copy writing experience
• Digital marketing experience
• Ecommerce or website content management is a plus

1. Tell us about your position as manager of the Shinola Minneapolis store?

As manager of Shinola MPLS I love each and everyday. I get to work with incredible employees who were all willing to give up stable jobs to come work with me at Shinola. Everyday is exciting and new at the Store. Since my very first day with the company, I have been extremely passionate about the brand and the “made in America” story behind it.

2. What do you like best about your job?

Being able to meet new customers everyday. We get everyone from young hipsters loving the north loop vibe, to mature customers who love our products and want His and Her Shinola bikes! I love to hear customer’s unique stories about how they heard about Shinola and their passion for the brand.

3. We’ve also heard a bit about your company, Stewart James. Tell us more!

Stewart James was created from a vision of a nautical apparel clothing line, where all the pieces would only get better with age. Our first item in the collection was a collaboration with Ebbets Field; an anchor hat.  The hat symbolized the classic, effortless feel that can be so hard to achieve.  I wanted to bring the nautical feel back to the Midwest with the “made in America” added benefit.

Stewart James is an inspirational outlet where I can create great product made in America. Red, white, and blue are always a classic pairing of colors, which Stewart James tries to emphasize in each individual item.

4. How do you like to spend your weekends?

My wife and I both love to get up early to get coffee and explore the beautiful locations here in Minnesota. We live and hangout most of our time around the lakes, we enjoy biking on the Green Way, exploring new shops and trying out new restaurants (mostly pizza joints!)

5. How would you describe your personal style?

“Ivy Prep.” I love wearing oxfords, chinos, sneakers and chukka boots. I get inspiration on my preppy style from brands like; Grayers, Todd Snyder, Gitman Vintage, and Jack Spade.

6. What adds pep to your step?

Brand new sneakers. There is just something about getting a new pair of shoes that makes all my worries in the world disappear!

While we realize “what’s in your bag” blog posts can feel a tad clichè, our team is going to put our own spin on it by taking an authentic approach + giving you all a glimpse of the not-so-glamorous items that reside in our totes! Let’s be honest, we don’t all have hundreds of dollars worth of designer beauty products, right?! We’re kicking off this new SA blog series by tipping boss lady, Christina’s work back upside-down. Enjoy!

Ever since our sweet little bambino joined my hectic life the contents of my handbags have changed drastically. Long gone are the days of fussy makeup and products filled with ingredients that I couldn’t pronounce. I have paired down my “stuff” to a handful of necessities that make my life easier but still allow me to maintain my personal style despite mountains of diapers, wipes and baby gear.

1) Sunglasses: Because every girl needs to hide behind her shades once in and while! Currently crushing on my Toms tortoise shell specs!

2) Bag: Traditional diaper bags didn’t seem versatile enough for me so I tend to throw whatever I need into a bad that I already own. This Filson tote is simple, timeless and something that I can ask my husband to carry while shopping on 50th/France!

3) Hydration: Honest Healing Balm  -  I am obsessed with this all-in-one moisturizer so much that we seriously have one in almost every room of the house. It is jam packed with shea butter, coconut oil, camomile, calendula, etc. It doubles as a diaper cream Mila has never had a diaper rash and I swear it is because I use this on her cute tush daily. I also use it on my cuticles and as hand cream. So basically its the Thebomb.com.

4) Lip balm: Korres is my go-to (absolute fav) lip butter. The natural oils and shea butter leave my lips supple and the Wild Rose tint adds a fun juicy pop of color. On days that I have little time for makeup its an easy way to look a bit more pulled together.

5) Diapers - Regardless of if Miss Amelia is in tow…I always have a couple of these on hand. The fun prints no longer make diaper changing seem like a chore!

6) Larabar - when running between photo shoots and client meetings, a quick {healthy} snack is a must have. I love the fact that larabars have a handful of simple ingredients. Plus, the blueberry muffin flavor is reset:14 approved!

7) Tea - as a working Mom on-the-go, staying hydrated is important for breastfeeding (love the sweet chamomile and lavender blend) so I always have a few of these in my bag.
